Vervain is an anti-vampire plant: it is humans' protection against compulsion and it weakens the vampires. (More like kryptonite to superman, if ya know what I'm saying).
A stake in their heart will kill them.
Sunlight burns their skin or burns them if they bathe too much of it: Vampires don't sparkle under the sun, they're not lamps.
They have what they call: Daylight rings in order for them to walk freely under the sun.
You have to invite them before they can enter your house.
Garlic and religious symbols have no effect on them.
Vampire Blood can heal someone if they're wounded.
If you want to be a vampire, you'll have to have vampire blood in your system, die, and once you revive back, the final process to complete the transition is to drink human blood.
You can turn off your humanity switch; vampires can either be good or bad - choices, but there is door number three; to feel nothing at all.
Character Backgrounds:
Yuzu: An orphan who has two bestfriends: Matsuri and Harumi. Just humans.
Mei and Eiji: Siblings… they are twins.
Mei is the older one while Eiji is her younger brother.
They both loved the same person back in 1864 - that looks exactly like Yuzu. But she died.
