The next morning Madison and Riley woke up and got the kids ready for school then what to work.
NCIS DC headquarter
Riley was in her office working on some paperwork when Nell, who is NCIS Operations Manager walked into her office.
"Hey Riley do you have a minute." Nell said
"Sure." Riley said as Nell took a seat.
"What up?" Riley asked
"Okay you are being assigned to a new and Classified Mission in Syria." Nell said
"Okay what is this mission about and how long will i stay in Syria?" Riley asked
"You will receive your mission when you get there. I don't know how long you will stay in Syria, but all i can say is that you are help the Military." Nell said
"Okay when do I leave?" Riley asked
"Tomorrow night." Nell said
"Okay." Riley said
"Oh yeah one more thing. You can not tell your family where you are going. The whole team will know where you are going, but to keep your family safe you can't tell them. Got it?" Nell asked
"Yeah." Riley said
"Okay great. Your flight will leave tomorrow at 10:00pm." Nell said as she walked over to the door.
"Okay." Riley said as Nell walked out of her office.
This was not the first time Riley had to go over sea before for a mission. Nine month on the jobs she was assigned to a mission in Afghanistan she was in Afghanistan for five months. So this is not new to her at all.
Thompson household after work
"Mommy." The twins and Andre said when they saw Riley walked onto the house.
"Hey babies. Where Sabrina?" Riley said
"In her room doing homework but mama is mad at her." Liz said
"Oh okay. Where is mama?" Riley asked
"In the kitchen with Taylor. Why are you late?" Sky asked
"I had to do something. How about y'all go play while i go talk to mama." Riley said
"Okay." They said as they ran into the game room.
Then Riley walked into the kitchen where Madison and Taylor were standing.
"Hey there." Madison said
"Hey. Are you okay?" Riley asked
"Yeah i'm fine, but i'm not sure Sabrina is." Madison said
"What do you mean?" Riley asked
"Something happened at school today , but she didn't want to tell me wrong. Then she got mad and just yelled at me." Madison said
"I cant talk to her, see if she will tell me what's wrong." Riley said as she walked away.
"Hey do not forget we have to tell the kids that you are going away." Madison said
"I know." Riley said
Riley walked upstairs to Sabrina's room and knocked on the door.
"Fuck off." Sabrina yelled
When Riley tried to open the door she noticed that it was locked.
"Sabrina unlocked the door please." Riley said
"You can't tell me what to do. You, not my mother." Sabrina yelled
"Sabrina just opened the door. This is so unlike you." Riley said
"You don't know shit about me." Sabrina yelled
"Okay you are right, but right now i know that you are having a hard time." Riley said, trying to remain calm.
"Just leave me alone." Sabrina yelled
"Okay. If you want to talk later I will be in my room." Riley said as she walked downstairs into her room.
Sabrina did not reply; she just stared at the wall.
Later on that night
Liz, Sky, Andre, Madison and Riley who were holding Taylor were in the living room watching a movie together.
"So guys i have something to tell you." Riley said
"What is it mommy?" Sky asked
"Y'all remember when i had to leave for a while for work?" Riley asked
"Yes." Andre asked
"Wait do you have to leave again?" Liz asked
"Yes." Riley said
"For how long?" Andre asked
"I don't know." Riley said
"When are you leaving." Andre asked
"Tomorrow night." Riley said
"I don't want you to go." Sky said
"I know baby girl but I have a job to do but I will be back soon." Riley said
"You get to keep people safe." Liz said
"Thanks for understanding." Riley said
"Where is Sabrina?" Liz asked
"She is in her room doing something." Madison said
"Okay." Sky said
"It's bed time for y'all." Madison said
"Okay." They are said as they run up the stairs and to their room.
"I'm going to check on Sabrina." Riley said as she got up.
"Okay." Madison said as Riley walked upstairs and to Sabrina's room.
She knocked on Sabrina's room and waited for Sabrina to answer.
"Come in." Sabrina said
Riley slowly opened the door and saw that Sabrina was sitting on the bed.
"Hey." Riley said
"Hi. I'm sorry for what I said early." Sabrina said
"It's okay. Do you want to tell me what happens?" Riley asked
"There is this girl that has been bullying me ever since i started school here but today was different. She started talking about how no one loves me, because I'm adopted." Sabrina said
"Well don't listen to her and you are loved. My family loves you some much. And since you are the youngest in your grade so kids might pick on you just because of that. I know how that feels." Riley said
"You do?" Sabrina asked
"Yeah, I was the youngest in my grade and I got picked on too." Riley said
"You did." Sabrina said
"Yeah you and me have a lot in common." Riley said
"Yeah we do." Sabrina said
"Sabrina, there's something I have to tell you." Riley said
"OK." Sabrina said
"Well I have to go overseas for a while." Riley said
"Wait, you are leaving?" Sabrina asked
"Yes." Riley said
"Do you know how long you are going to be gone?" Sabrina asked
"Nope." Riley said
"When are you leaving?" Sabrina asked
"Tomorrow night." Riley said
"Oh." Sabrina said
"I know this is hard for you, but you have mama to talk to." Riley said
"I know but she won't understand what i'm going through like you do." Sabrina said
"Well she might not understand everything, but she will understand something." Riley said
"Okay." Sabrina said
"Okay it time for bed." Riley said
"Okay." Sabrina said
"Night. Love you." Riley said as she walked to the door.
"Love you too." Sabrina said as Riley walked downstairs into her and Madison room.
Before she went to bed she called JJ and Emily and told them the news and then called Amber and told her the news. Then she went to bed.
