Evelyn and Alice had no skin visible except for the skin on her face due to the intense sun that was in Italy. She was driving the car as she was the only one that knew the way to Volterra.
The closer they got to Volterra the harder Evelyn was clenching her hand in her lap as if she did it with the hand on the steering wheel it would immediately begin to damage the wheel.
Bella noticed the change of demeanour in her and could never be not curious asked the question.
"You ok Eve?" Alice knew the reason but did not answer Bella's question. Despite not needing to breathe air Evelyn took a deep breath to calm herself down and not do anything rash.
She did not want to go back there as it was a time she would rather forget. She had done this that she would not remember and wish she never did in the first place.
"I would just rather not be here, but Edward is in danger and as much as I dislike his actions he is still family." It was the only answer that would not get any questions in return.
Alice was in the back when she had a vision.
"They refused him." She said in the quiet room. Evelyn had already had the car as fast as she could but tried to put the pedal down more.
The building had started to come into view and they were just as beautiful as the ones that were before them.
Evelyn had tried to go up the street as high as possible but was soon stopped by the police as there was a festival going on that had everyone dressed in red. Bella just jumped out the car to get there quicker.
They had found a place to put the car before they also made their way to the clock tower.
When they had reached the clock tower Evelyn let Alice go in and do the talking. She did not expect Felix and Demetri to be there. Alice had tried to see if they could leave and not see Aro but the clicking of heels was coming closer to them.
Evelyn saw the slight stop and stutter that Jane made as she saw who was there but soon covered it up. Evelyn may be immune to Jane's power but the other three were not and they wanted to talk to Bella as she is Human.
Evelyn led the way to elevators. It was awkward as it was silent and there was tension between Jane and Evelyn.
They walked past the Human receptionist who would either become a vampire or become someone's snack.
They soon made it to the main area in which the trial will be held.
"Sister. They send you out to get one you bring three and a half." She knew that this was how Alec and Jane acted in front of others but when it was just the three of them he was more soft spoken.
Aro made his Grand entrance by greeting them in his neutral voice. He immediately took Edward's hand to see his mind. Evelyn put her hands into her pockets so Aro can't just take it. In the corner of her eye's she can see Jane and Alec looking at her intently, she knew they were hiding their emotions.
Aro was immediately interested in Bella as Edward can't read her mind and wanted to see if it blocked his power. She could see the gears turning in his head to see what else she could do. When he said Jane's name Edward immediately went in front of Bella to block her.
Jane did not hesitate to use her powers on Edward. The shock on Bella's face immediately made Alec hold him still to make it easier for Jane to use her powers on her.
It did not work on Bell and she could see the frustration in their eyes. Aro decided she needed to be dealt with but Edward put himself between him and Felix. The fight had started and Evelyn pulled Bella to her so she did not get hurt in the fight.
Everyone knew that Edward was not going to make it and wanted to sacrifice herself. This intrigued Aro even more.
Alice was able to make a vision happen to save their lives. Aro also saw his opportunity to get a hold of Evelyn's hand but had not been quick enough to get her hand.
Evelyn could also tell it was near feeding time by the amount of black eyes around the room. Marcus was the one to send them on their way. Evelyn took one last look at Jane and Alec and saw a bit of hope from them to see if she would stay, but followed Alice, Edward and Bella out of the area.
They were not quick enough to not see the people as they crossed paths. It wasn't that long till the screams started. They were determined to keep Bella going forward and not turn around.
A couple of day's later Bella was at their house. During those day's Evelyn was going through the letter's that she received from Jane and Alec. It was her idea that they send a letter to each other once a year as she still loved them despite them having different views.
They had a vote on whether Bella would join them or not in immortality. Rose apologized for how she acted to Bella but voted no to her. The rest said yes when Bella looked at her she only nodded her head as Bella was important to Edward.
The only problem they faced was who was going to do it.
