"Hey, Eraser, for this first test, since they pass in the order they finish, there's the impression that whoever attacks first wins," Ms. Joke began. "But that's not the case, is it?"
"No, it looks like the keys will be teamwork and cooperation and their ability to gather information," Aizawa replied. He held back a smirk as he noticed Ryuki in the epicenter of the students. "If they're seduced by the words 'the first hundred' and rush to get points, then they'll have the tables turned on them."
"All of them got repelled, huh?" the blue-skinned teen remarked.
"I guess we shouldn't be surprised that something like this won't take down U.A. Especially not with that one Quirk," Shindo responded.
"But well, I think I see now," the teen smirked. He tossed the hardened balls tot eh student blow him.
"This is Ryuki. Blue-skinned teen has the ability to stiffen and harden objects on a similar basis as Kirishima. Unknown if it is applicable to living objects, but it is applicable to non-living objects," Ryuki reported, dully noting the blue-skinned teens arrogance.
"I'll take it from here," the raven-haired teen blankly said. "But I might just end up finishing ahead of you all. I hope you let it pass because it means you have less people to go up against. Target Lock-On, Boomerang: Crescent Moon Trajectory." 'The targets have been determined. Since their trajectories are hiding underground, you won't be able to react.'
"This is Ryuki. Black-haired teen looking like a rogue ninja has a similar Quirk as Snipe. Targeting Kaminari and Sero," Ryuki messaged.
Jiro was quick to disrupt the flow of the target, sending heartbeats to the floor to create a small chasm in the earth. Ashido set up a veil of acid to prevent the balls from reaching them and from the balls being claimed by the other schools.
"They've finished their ultimate moves, huh?" Ms. Joke smiled, intrigued.
"Of course," Aizawa replied.
"Black Abyss!" Tokoyami shouted. "Piercing Twilight Claws!" Dark Shadow launched forward towards the blonde-haired student who sunk into her lower-half to dodge the ball.
"This is Ryuki. Blonde-hair student with pigtails is capable of forcing herself to curl into her own body like a turtle. Beware that this hides her marks."
Bakugo screamed. "Oi! Shut up already!"
"Bakugo, I'm trusting that you remain here," Miyuki commanded through Ryuki. "The other zones have no space for your blast radius — you'll cause more collateral damage than anything. If you do separate, go with Kirishima or Todoroki who are capable of reigning in your impact."
"Shut up, you otaku!" Bakugo shouted back. "I got it already."
"Katsuki Bakugo, be careful of how you speak to Master," Ryuki scowled.
"I see. This isn't the Class A from the Sports Festival," Shindo smirked. "They've grown a lot."
Ryuki was quick to broadcast Midoriya's thoughts to the rest of 1-A.
'No one's passed yet. The targets everyone is wearing — in other words, their weak points! Everyone will fight while protecting them, so throwing blindly will have a low chance of hitting. Everyone's still at the 'wait-and-see' stage. Everyone's watching for their opponents weaknesses and how they use their Quirks. The fight will probably speed up from here!' Midoriya relayed.
Miyuki nodded. She quickly pulled out her notepad and signed down a name before placing it between her lips. She blew and a pink-haired teen apparrated at her side with violet colored eyes and green visors over his face. "Saiki, interrupt any balls that Ryuki relays too close to 1-A's markers."
"'We look further ahead than everyone else,' huh?" Ms. Joke repeated. "That's pretty condescending, Eraser. There are many kids who want to become heroes as there are stars in the sky. The strength of that will has nothing to do with being famous. If you act like you're the stars of the show and look down on everyone else, then you're the ones that might get the tables turned on you."
"Do any of them look like they're underestimating their opponents?" Aizawa responded.
"Black-haired Midoriya has a vibration Quirk on a similar status to Jiro's. He is planning to complete separate the ground to get everyone into separate groups," Ryuki sent out.
Miyuki quickly ran to the front of the group, prepared to send her own chasm back towards the other students. "Quick, 1-A, move into formations with the best groups, now! Saiki, ensure that any splits of the groups formed remain together. Ryuki, all zones should be within your sensing range, report where everyone is and the surrounding number of students in that area to the group there. I want a full status report on everyone's markers once things have settled."
"Roger!" Ryuki and Saiki nodded, flying into action.
Miyuki hardened herself with determination before a thought struck to her. She left Shindo's vibrations run through first, creating several elevated platforms and rocks that created a cluttered a field before smirking. She raised her fist back and cried out, "Weak Punch!" She punched directly below her, letting the force of her punch remain balanced at all points to create the widest circumference of blast force. Her smirk turned to a wild grin as she stared at the large crater she left behind, the cluttered field returning to a closer image to what it was initially. "Their environment advantage has been lessened." She glanced around her and let Barrier fly up again, the cool-down finished and giving her a few minutes of freedom. "Ryuki, report!"
"Midoriya, Uraraka, Todoroki, and Sero have remained in your area," Ryuki reported. "As well as Ashido, Hagakure, Aoyama, Iida, Ojiro, Kouda, Tokoyami, and Sato. Aoyama and Iida are together nearby Kouda, Tokoyami, and Ojiro. Hagakure and Ashido are also near them."
"Not a bad combination. Thanks Saiki," Miyuki nodded.
"Yaoyorozu, Jiro, Shoji, and Asui are in the warehouse zone," he continued.
Miyuki frowned. "They're a good and versatile group together, but their location is not great for them combat-wise. It is especially limited for Asui-san. Ryuki, I want regular status updates on them."
"Kirishima, Kaminari, and Bakugo are together on the subway line. It appears that Kirishima has already been captured," Ryuki finished.
"Not bad groups. Wait, Kirishima-san has already been captured?" Miyuki gaped.
"A Shiketsu student. His Quirks appears to be the ability to make things into a living blob," Ryuki reported.
Miyuki rose a brow. "I'll trust Bakugo and Kaminari-san to figure out a method. Report if things get out of hand, however, and keep an eye on Kirishima-san's state of mind. If things become worse, immediately inform Saiki to head over to the situation." She took a breath and steeled her gaze. Barrier was about to run out of time and be forced in cool-down once more. "Has any of 1-A grouped up here?"
"Midoriya, Sero, and Uraraka have formulated a group. Todoroki is alone," Ryuki answered.
"Guide me to him," Miyuki stated.
"The other groups are moving around in groups of ten or more," Todoroki noted, hiding in a secure spot surrounded by large rocks, the cracks being sealed by his ice. "I could attack first, but it would be annoying if there are people with Quirks I'm weak against. Ideally, the other teams would fight each other and bring each other's numbers down before I launch my attack, but . . . I just can't wait around."
"Todoroki, Master is approaching in due ten seconds to join you. The other three within the area have grouped together already," Ryuki intruded.
Todoroki flinched, tensing into a fighting position before relaxing. "Alright."
"Todoroki-san," Miyuki greeted. "Fast assault will have to be our route with 54 people passing. Although, I'm afraid that if we pass, that means Ryuki and Saiki are out and can't help the rest of 1-A."
"What are their current states?" Todoroki asked.
"Rather stable and not too worrying. Only Bakugo's group is the most harrowing at the moment," Miyuki answered. "But Ryuki's telling me it seems that the situation is turning in their favor."
"Then the two most likely will not be necessary to the other groups aside for recon," Todoroki noted.
Miyuki nodded. "I'll have to give fair warning in that case. Ryuki, hear that?"
"Already relayed, Master," Ryuki responded.
"Where's the closest group?" Todoroki requested.
Ryuki took a moment to do a quick check. "Incoming to your position, a group of ten. They're in the nearby factory section at the border. They appear to be targeting anyone who comes near the border, already having two people who've passed and moved on from their group."
"Quirks?"
"Unknown at the moment. It is not crossing their minds nor was I observing earlier," Ryuki replied.
"We might have to start using the Quirk cancellation here, though I didn't want to have to use it so early," Miyuki hummed. "Todoroki-san, I'll be relying on you for distant combat until we know for certain what their Quirks are."
Todoroki nodded.
She quickly tore out a page from her notebook to write "Invisibility Cloak" before draping it around herself and Todoroki. "We'll have to move like this before we reach there. I'll remain under while you remain visible. It'll be easier for me to do close combat like this. Ryuki will relay any plans and locations. Feel free to manipulate your Quirk freely, Saiki will be able to pull me out of any sticky stuations." Miyuki smiled as they began heading to their location. "This is the first time we're actually grouped together."
Todoroki nodded. "How long will this last?"
"It's a detailed sketch, so it'll last one hour before having a three-hour cool down," Miyuki replied. "Should definitely be enough time for us to finish this."
As they neared the factory section, Todoroki slipped away from the cloak. As he began to enter the zone, a ball launched towards him. He quickly let loose a burst of flames that stopped it in its tracks.
"As expected of the runner-up of the U.A. Sports Festival," a voice rang out. "Todoroki-kun was it? I can't believe you're acting alone though. That's amazing. You must be really confident." He wore a red ninja suit that entirely covered him aside from his eyes.
"But even if he is from U.A., acting alone will get him in trouble, don't you think?" the green-clothed one laughed.
"It's one-on-ten, you know," the blue-clothed one said, bangs of blonde actually peeking out from the head gear. "What're you going to do?"
"Thanks for saving me the trouble of finding you," Todoroki calmly remarked.
"Master is behind the blue and black pair. She's already looked at the line up from your left and noted their markers. Majority is on their fronts, you focus there. Master will get the hidden ones on their sides," Ryuki commented.
They launched a first cluster of balls which Todoroki deftly blocked with a block of ice. He leaned to the floor and let ice creep from his position up to the pillars of metal the group of students stood on.
"You guys . . . are you sure you watched the Sports Festival?" Todoroki asked.
"Saiki is taking some of the balls you redirected and directing them to Master," Ryuki reported. "Once she starts to act, they'll immediately know you have an accomplice."
'Can't be helped,' Todoroki thought.
"Of course we watched it!" the red-clothed one replied. He threw a silver screw that grew to a size larger than Todoroki himself.
The dual-Quirk user quickly set up a barrier of ice to block the large screw.
"Wah! My marker is red!" he heard a voice shout.
"Mine too!"
"Mine as well!"
Four markers had turned red.
"He has an accomplice!" the red-garbed one immediately deduced. He immediately freed his companions from the ice using screws. "It has to be that invisible girl since we didn't see anyone come near!"
Miyuki smirked. "Not quite," she murmured towards one of the garbed students. She quickly stole a ball and pressed down a second marker on the suit.
'Water and earth for the flames and physical attacks for the ice. They've worked out a counterattack for everything,' Todoroki thought.
"Master will take care of the augmented strength ones. She has been properly taught by Radelk how to knock people out. After, she will target the two elemental users. It is your duty to keep the red-garbed one from noticing his companions are out," Ryuki stated.
Todoroki nodded. At the approaching earth attack, he launched a large volley of flames, letting the sand disburse and become a fog of smoke. He quickly began to run further into the factory.
Miyuki launched into action. She first took out the yellow-garbed ones. They were the easiest to reach and were the least needed of the group with strength augmentation Quirks. Of course, she let Saiki carry them and had Ryuki guide her through the fog to her next target. 'Good job, Todoroki-kun. I'll hold off getting all of their markers until all are down and we can both pass.'
Todoroki glanced around his surroundings. He lit up a nearby sign and let it flicker through the fog.
"There!" the red-garbed one shouted.
Miyuki quickly dispatched the two elementals and handed them over to Saiki.
Todoroki let them group up as they neared the flame and quickly iced them into a large block together.
Miyuki revealed herself, throwing the cloak's hood down with a large grin. Saiki lowered the four students near the entrapped six. "Saiki, mind grabbing one of the two balls Todoroki kept and passing it over?"
"Hn," Saiki nodded.
"Ryuki, report to the rest of 1-A that Todoroki and I will be moving forward and we most likely will not be able to maintain contact. Relay any remaining information to the groups that may be beneficial to their situation," Miyuki ordered.
"Yes, Master," Ryuki inclined his head.
Todoroki pressed the red-garbed one's markers and calmly stated, "Sorry, we can't afford to fail."
