Jim Dear was talking to Darling about the news when it happened.

They had been sitting outside. Jim had been absentmindedly petting Lady. Darling had all the things she needed for knitting with her. That's when Jim Dear brought up the latest in politics, intrigued Darling asked to hear more and so Jim continued. At that time there was a fierce debate surrounding the mayorship and other vital leadership in the town. Some called for new leaders, highlighting the overwhelming amount of dogs in the streets, with a certain incident on Independence Day being their main point of criticism. Other problems brought up included an unknown group of people leaving rubbish in the yard's of the rich, a dangerous junkyard and certain factors which put the children of the town in danger.

Darling put one of the socks, a sailor themed one for Junior, down and began work on the next one. Jim continued.

The leadership of the town defended themselves, stating that drastic measures had been put into place to solve these issues. For starters, the pound was recording more and more strays being sent to the pound everyday. This was likely due to an increased budget and new oversight. The rubbish, they stated was clearly a planned and well thought out crime. Trying too hard to stop this would be a waste of their valuable officers in their mind. The final part of their statement was on the junkyard where they could only point out that unless you are authorised access, you'd be trespassing.

They didn't mention anything about the children. Anything about the fact that a child had gone missing just a week prior. Witnesses stated that it was a big dog who took the child. Officers found that a little hard to believe.

Suddenly his wife was on her feet and moving around fast. She turnt to her confused husband and uttered a cold and fearful two words. "Where's Junior?"
