I don't own any of the Food Wars characters, except Haru and any future characters that come into play...
Nakiri Mansion
Erina woke up with a start. She was in her room, sweating, and still in her uniform.
"What- W-" She was cut off by Alice crashing into the room.
"ERINA! ARE YOU OKAY? PLEASE TELL ME YOU'RE OKAY!"
"Alice, hush, I'm perfectly fine." She said, her legs wobbling as she got up from the bed.
Alice simply giggled at the sight, which Erina ignored, even though she wanted to whack her annoying cousin with a lamp.
"What happened?" She asked.
"You don't remember?" Alice said, her chibi face showing as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"No I do not remember, Alice! Would you please just tell me?" She demanded.
"Well, remember that guy Haru? After you made a fool of yourself, gobbling away at the dish he made, the judges ruled in his favor, 0-3." Alice responded.
Erina quickly remembered everything after that. The dish she made and how the judges gave her a perfect reaction. Then came his dish, which the judges completely fawned over, how he made her try that same dish, and how it had tasted so delic- disgusting.
Then it clicked.
"Alice, does this mean-" She began, trembling more now.
"Yeah. Haru's the new headmaster of Totsuki." She responded ominously.
Erina nearly fell over and Alice ran to her aid.
"Erina! Are you okay?" She asked, checking Erina's forehead.
"I- I need to talk to him." Erina said firmly.
"Fat chance of that happening, it's already 10:00 PM on a school night." Alice replied with a shrug.
"I don't care, even if it's 12 in the morning, I'm still going to see him." Erina said as she stood up, Alice helping her.
"Jeez, you really don't change your mind once you decide on something, I guess the only guy who could change that was him..." Alice remarked, which made Erina flinch but she ignored it.
...
Erina had changed into her winter attire and hurried out the mansion, not even waiting for the limo.
Alice had told her that Haru was residing at the headmasters office, which had a luxurious living space of its own, Erina simply chose not to stay there because of how used she was to staying at the mansion.
That imbecile, how could I lose to him? To anyone? Ugh it infuriates me just thinking about that stupid smile… so similar- Wait!
She stopped in the middle of the road, and roughly patted her cheeks with both hands and could feel the heat in her face. Had she seriously just compared that evil grin to Soma's?
It doesn't matter, I'll go to him, and make sure to get my position back!
Before she knew it, she was outside the main doors.
The air was brisk. Blood rushed to Erina's face, trying to keep it warm and created a slight blush.
Headmasters Office
Haru was enjoying a cup of Earl Grey in the headmasters office, his feet propped up on the desk.
It's been 2 years since the diagnoses, which means I've got about 3 left, until-
He flinched as a sharp pain shot through his chest.
Ugh, it's only getting worse, what a literal pain...
Suddenly, he could hear footsteps approaching the office, angry ones at that.
"Looks like someone woke up..." He mumbled as he got up, readying himself to greet his visitor.
*SLAM*
He knew that Erina would be the one crashing in, but he definitely wasn't expecting this.
She was wearing a typical Totsuki uniform, but with opaque thigh-high stockings, along with an overcoat on top of her uniform, and with a red scarf around her neck.
Haru had a thing for women who wore winter clothes, he wasn't sure why. That definitely painted the young Nakiri in a different light for him now, but while it was appealing, he had his eyes on someone else...
"Little Nakiri, welcome to my humble establishment!" He said, almost mockingly, as if she had never been in the office before.
"I've told you to not call me that! And on what grounds do you have the right to take away my position as headmistress?!" She demanded, pointing menacingly at him.
Haru was sipping on his tea, as if wondering how to respond.
"...Oh sorry, were you speaking? This tea is so out of this world!" He said after a while.
Erina was building up rage rather quickly, and her patience had all but run out.
She banged her hands on the desk and gave him a murderous glare.
"YOU CAN'T JUST WALK INTO THIS SCHOOL, CHEAT ME AT A SHOKUGEKI, THEN TAKE AWAY MY JOB AS THE HEADMISTRESS OF TOTSUKI!" She yelled in his face, her face red as a tomato.
Haru sighed, he simply sat back down and looked at her coolly.
"Relax, okay? You agreed to my terms when I challenged you, so that makes this perfectly fine." He said reassuringly, which only made her angrier.
"You may have beaten me at a Shokugeki, but I'm no fool, verbal contracts don't mean anything, not without proof!" She hissed.
"You mean this proof?" Haru said as he held up a phone which was recording the conversation.
"You-" She began when Haru held up his hand, stopping her.
"Look, I know how attached you are to this job, so I'll make you another deal-" He said.
"I'll give you as many chances as you want, but until you can beat me in a Shokugeki, I'll be keeping this position." Haru finished.
"I- Fine. Tomorrow, 8:00 AM, Chandra's Roo-" She was cut off again by Haru.
"Hold on there, princess, I just got this job, it wouldn't be very lady-like to take it away from this poor chap right when he got it. Wait a couple of days, practice, improve your cooking, and then challenge me, alright? I'll even give you a handicap, you can use me for advice to improve your cooking, how's that sound?" He said, giving her a grin.
Erina had completely boiled over. Why in the hell would she ask her literal opponent for help ever? It was out of the question, no, it wasn't even in there to begin with!
"Fine, I will give you one week. Be prepared, I won't hold back!" She declared and stormed out the room.
Haru scratched his head, wasn't she the one who should be preparing?
"Either way- as the Americans say this is gonna be one hell of a ride." Haru said as he tossed some pain killers into his mouth, knowing full well they wouldn't do much.
At the desk sat a sheet of paper, there was a list of names, it seemed.
Saji Culinary Inst…
1. M. Saji…
2. L. Bellon...
3. C. Dangote...
4. D. Albrecht...
Authors Note:
I don't even know where to start. Well let me start by apologizing for the unannounced, leave of absence that lasted for a long while. School had begun, and as a junior, I had to take extra care this year, so I focused way more on my studies than I did this. Either way, I should have at least put out something on my bio saying I would be on hiatus, I apologize once again, *bow* Now that that's out of the way, welcome to Totsuki's Legacy Season 2, or as I'm calling it, The Second Tier! I'm going to be changing some things this time around, I've actually planned out this series and there will be more to come. I've pretty much finished writing The Second Tier, so I'll try using a consistent upload schedule. Things have died down for me so I should have more time to write the series(I don't want to rush it either). Anyway this has turned into a rant now, so thank you for reading, and I will see you in the next chapter!
