Hello, I took the weekend for vacation purposes. Back in the business, baby! Sooo, let's see what I do remember, nanana, Bras reading Makura's mind, Makura and Bras going to the blacksmith, nanana, yeah, I remembered enough. Soooo, to the chapter!
Throwing herself onto the bed, the white-haired girl closed her eyes thoughtful about her day. "What bullshit." What were the chances of finding Sienna in her childhood? And worse, her mother having a mind-read type semblance? The chances verged the nullity. Only verged, because she found Sienna Khan, and her Mother had a mind-read type semblance.
"I already hate this more than it's right to be…" She can't dodge the canon, to a certain extent. Opening her eyes, Makura sees a pair of brown-eyes, and fluffy white hair.
"Oh, Alice." The girl gave a cute smile, a really heartwarming one, easing the burden in the shoulders of her friend.
"Mah, you're back!" Jumping into the other girl, the Jacob-sheep faunus, hugged the young girl, who didn't try to fight back, or reply with words, only accepting the hug. "So, whatya hate so much?" Without malice, or second intentions, Alice asked with true worry and concern, caring about her fellow friend.
"Honestly, I am just cursing. All I want is to sleep right now and only wake tomorrow to the apprentice thing." This was a full day worthy of bullshit and hellish problems.
"Maaah, the sky wasn't even dark…" In a wily voice, she prosted, looking to the window, staring at the evening sky.
She is right, the sky isn't dark, but it means nothing to a jaded girl, sick of the problems of that day. "I don't care, I just want to sleep…" With wandering eyes, Alice throwed her weight against the bed, laying sideways to the other girl.
"When I'll sleep too." Makura, widened her eyes, why? The night has yet to fall, and there's plenty of other kids willing to play 'till the dark, why waste the rest of the day sleeping with her?
"Why? I… had time 'till the night, and the other kids will accept play with you. I'll only sleep, and if I have luck, I'll be awake tomorrow." With a thin, and satisfacted smile, Alice tightened her hug, making the youngster leave out a heavy sigh.
"Then at least you eat? Dinner, snacks, something?" Asking with concern, Makura has recepted with a wide grin.
"Yes, and you?"
"Yuss, a gentle woman gave me plenty of snacks." Bras really gave her many snacks, and the lollipop has still to be open yet. Hungry is something she ain't.
With a jealous face, the Jacob-sheep faunus puffed, looking away. "Then, there's no problem."
Smiling faintly, Makura wrapped her arms and legs around the older girl, catching her by surprise. "Yeah, I accept it. But you'll be my body pillow until I awake." Making a shit-eating grin, her consciousness faded, as she laid her head against the soft, and fluffy hair of the older girl.
"Haaa." The first pallid white rays of Solitas morning pierced the eyes of Makura. If her internal-clock is still working, it is probably 6:00, 6:30 o'clock. Lookin' to the side, she can view Alice, sleeping peacefully at her side. One hour probably till the work at the Blacksmith shop. She had to do something before.
"Hey, Sleep head." Shaking the sleeping Alice, who only grunt in disapproval. "Hey, get up. Don't you wanna me to teach you how to read and wri-"
Before the younger girl had a chance to complete her phrase, the Sleeping Alice awakened in a moment, ready and awake.
"Now?" With shining eyes, Alice held her wish of jumping on the younger girl in pure joy.
"Not now, get up and change your clothes." Honestly, she had no pretension of teaching Alice now. "If you want me to teach you. I will, only if you help Wendy, Hild, and the adults, ok?"
With a small growl, she gives Makura a troubled look.
"You don't wanna them?" Giving up, she didn't try to reply to the Wolf-faunu, and collapsed onto the bed.
"Just what I thi-" Opening the door with strength and ignorance, the silhouette of the crow-faunus appeared, scanning, searching for someone. Locking her sight in the Wolf-eared girl. She marched to the front of the great bed, where five other kids sleep besides Makura and Alice.
"Sooo, Makura, why did we have a huntress at our door? An acquaintance of I, of course, but why? And why does she want to see you specifically?" The smile in her face is a beautiful one, the pure dread and fright in her eyes, are not.
Makura had a few theories: A: Is Bras, and she wants to talk before Makura goes to the Blacksmithshop; B: one of the kids has a parent as a Huntsman. Probably, the former. "Eeeeehhhh, how is she?"
Sigh heavily, the winged faunus stared. "Brown-skin, curly reddish-brown hair, tiger ears." And a Milf. Aaaaa.
"She is the mother of a friend… She led me to Etna's Fire Yesterday…" And read my min-
"And probably read your mind, and you got her attention?" Dropping her jaw to the floor, Makura stared at Hild, stunned.
With a small, yet awkward laugh, Hild replied. "Yeah, she said to me, you know a bit damn much, don't ya? Equations, how to beat older kids. She had a proposal, she wants to adopt you."
"Can you repeat?" Like a glass shattering, her mind flipped off.
"Well, Bras want to adopt ya-"
"Aaaaaaahhhh." As if she had a knife stabbed in her lungs, Makura made a cacophony growl, before scratching her temple. "Could I ask why?"
"She said she had a great interest in ya, Kiddo. Honestly, she is a huntress, her husband too, you can get a better life being her adopted daughter than h-"
"I… will think 'bout that…" Frowning, Hild left an awkward look before smiling fakely.
Noticing the true meaning of her face and the situation, Makura held her wish to scream. "She wants the answer now?
Don't she?"
"Yep." I hate Remnant, I truly hate this Gods-forsaken place.
Weeeeeell, Here we are, a short chapter to heat up, maybe literally, Here where I live is freezing and raining. As I said, a short one, probably the next chapters will be short too, to get used to the new writing style. I am thinking about the next step, if Makura will or not be adopted by Bras and become the little sister of Sienna, or live in the orphanage. Probably in the next chapter we will get our answers. Well, this is the chapter. My english is not one of the best, and I probably, and definitely made some mistakes and errors, if your guys spotted some, show in the reviews, and I'll try to make the future chapters more cohesive and with less errors.
