Chapter 10 - K' Team vs Inferno Force

K' and the rest were running towards the south exit of NEST's base

"Are you sure about this?" - Maxima

"Just keep running. We will fight them in the forest, inside there is too dangerous." - Ling

The Inferno Force were following them very slowy

"(Look at this two, Kusanagi and his wife acting like a stupid teenage couple. Oh how I wish I could turn them both into ashes.)" - Thought Iori seeing Kyosuke and Athenea grabed by the hands walking towards the south exit

"(What does that woman see in him anyway? He is a good for nothing worm who barely can lead a team and not to forget we almost were caught once if it wasn't for me. I should be the leader of this group, not him!)" - Iori

"Is something wrong, Yagami?" - Terrence

"No." - Iori

The Inferno Force exited the NEST cave and found face to face with the K' team, Blaze, Angel and Ling

"So you were just waiting for us. I thought you would run to your little base like the last time?" - Kyosuke

"We aren't going to run, Kusanagi. You and your group of murderous scum will fall today!" - Blaze

"Oh Blaze. You always make us laugh. You think your little absortion ability will be enough to defeat us but what's the use of that if you can't get your hands on any of us?" - Athenea

"Yeah, besides how many years have we been doing this? You always claim victory only for you to run away scared with your friends of NEST or your daddy Rugal, at this point is just hard to take you seriously, kiddo." - Terrence

"Argh! I'll defeat you this time!" - Said Blaze preparing herself to attack but in that moment she was stopped by Ling

"NO! Don't let your emotions control you. Have you forgotten what happened the last time you did that? Angel paid the price of that." - Ling

"... You're right, Ling." - Blaze

"We will fight against them, together." - Ling

"Five vs six, eh? This should be interesting." - Kyosuke

"Let me take care of the girls, my love. I'll enjoy making these three scream... Especially Blaze. But first how about a good luck kiss?" - Athenea

"Oh I'll love to see that." - Kyosuke

Kyosuke and Athenea started making out, after that Athenea went to fight against Blaze, Kula and Angel

"Yagami. You and I will take on the clone boy and the robot." - Kyosuke

"Hmph!" - Iori

"Terrence. Mr. Karate. I trust you two can take on Ling easily." - Kyosuke

"Leave that old bastard to us, in a matter of seconds he will be on the ground begging for mercy." - Terrence

And so the fight started

"Blaze, we both know you're nothing without your dad Rugal at your side. You really think fighting alongside this two freaks of NEST will give you an advantage?" - Athenea

"Who are you calling freak! You... Arrggg!" - Kula was interrupted by Athenea who punched her in the stomach

"Oh sorry, I thought we were fighting already." - Said Athenea kicking Kula sending her flying to the ground

"KULA!" - Blaze

"(What speed! Just in what did I got myself into?)" - Angel

"You're next, Angel. I'll send you back to Mexico in a trash bag just like we did to the Angel of our world." - Athenea

"You think I'm going down easy! I'll wipe that stupid smile off of your face." - Angel

"(That speed! The last time I saw her she wasn't that fast... Unless!)" - Thought Ling after seeing how Athenea attacked Kula

"Did you used the original version of the jericho on your and your friends, Kusanagi!?" - Ling

"I should thank you for that, Ling. That serum of your pals at NEST really does wonders!" - Kyosuke

"You damn bastard!" - Ling

"What? Did you thought we were just gonna sell it to Heidern without taking advantage of it first?" - Said Kyosuke remembering when he and the rest of the Inferno Force injected themselves with the original version of the Jericho

"(Damn, this is worst that I imagined. They are already bad enough with their normal powers but now that they enhanced themselves with the jericho there's not much to do.)" - Thought Ling

Ling took a look into the pocket of his suit and grabed what it seen to be an injection

"(This was one of the prototypes of the serum, it only last a few hours. Igniz gave me this in case we needed to recreate the serum but there's no choice.)" - Ling

"(Sorry Igniz. I must give this to someone but who?)" - Ling thought while looking at his allies

"(That's it!)" - Ling

"K', catch this!" - Said Ling throwing the sample to K'

"What's this?" - K'

"Is a sample of a old prototype of the jericho! Use it!" - Ling

"What?" - Kyosuke

Without thinking it twice K' injected himself with the old sample of the jericho.

"Hehehe. I see, he gave you that sample to make the fight more "fair" Still it doesn't matter. There's no way a mere copy like you can defeat me!" - Kyosuke

"Just shut up and fight!" - K' went into his battle stance ready to fight against Kyosuke

Meanwhile Blaze, Kula and Angel were still fighting with Athenea.

"This is far from over!" - Said Kula getting up and creating two ice spikes on her hands

"Oh, what are you going to do with those? Tickle me to death! HAHAHA." - Athenea

"Shut up! I'm not playing around anymore." - Kula

Kula ran towards Athenea preparing to attack her but Athenea dodged all her attacks using her teleport ability

"Here I am!" - Athenea

"No here!" - Athenea

"Too slow!" - Athenea

"Ouch! That could had hurt if you had touched me!" - Athenea

"Did you got hit in the head when you were a child or you're just stupid?" - Said Athenea teleporting everywhere dodging every single attack Kula did

"ARRGH! Stop teleporting already a fight me like a woman!" - Said Kula getting angry

"Well, if that's what you want!" - Said Athenea appearing in front of Kula punching her

"(Her teleport ability is more faster than before. There must be a way to know where she goes before she does it.)" - Thought Blaze

"(This girl has barely changed from the last time I saw her, we are not the best friends heck we are not even friends but I can't let that woman kill her!)" - Angel ran towards Athenea preparing to strike her

"Angel, are you really so eager to die again?" - Athenea stopped Angel's fist throwing her like nothing

"(No wonder Kusanagi fell in love with that witch. She is just as sadist as him and loves to waste time playing with her victims.)" - Thought Iori seeing the fight between Athenea and the girls

Yagami and Maxima prepared themselves for their fight in that moment

"Come at me with everything you got! I not afraid of you!" - Maxima

"No you first!" - Iori

"What? Are you for real." - Maxima

In that moment Maxima launched himself against Yagami but Yagami easily countered him

"Tell me something. You cyborgs do really feel pain or you just like to act as if you feel something?" - Iori

"(What? He is more faster than I thought.)" - Thought Maxima

Meanwhile Ling was fighting with Terrence and Mr. Karate

"Come on, Ling! Put a good fight." - Terrence

"(These two have increased their strength thanks to the jericho. I need to approach carefully.)" - Thought Ling

Ling started fighting against both members of the inferno force in what looked like a even fight.

"Haoh Shoukou Ken!" - Said Mr. Karate throwing his trademark technique

"That wont work with me!" - Said Ling redirecting the attack with the blades that were in his NEST battle armor

Mr. Karate doged the attack he had throw first jumping

"Ha! It looks like this won't be so boring after all!" - Terrance

"Take this! Power Geyser!" - Said Terrence trying to attack Ling

Ling managed to dodge the three power geysers that came out of the ground

"If that's all you have, them this will be not much of a trouble like I thought." - Ling

"Don't worry, this is just the warn up." - Said Terrence fixing his hat

Meanwhile K' was still fighting against Kyosuke in what was a pretty even fight

"What's the matter, clone boy. Are the effects of the serum running out?" - Kyosuke

"Shut up, Kusanagi! You're nothing but a Pretentious bastard." - K'

"I touched a nerve didn't I?" - Kyosuke

K' launched himself against Kyosuke but Kyosuke dodged the attack and punched K' in the stomach

"Is that the best you have? Come on! Show me your true power." - Kyosuke

"You want me to get serious, well just don't cry when you get toasted!" - K'

In that moment K' got up and throwed his glasses at Kyosuke. A confused Kyosuke didn't know how to react and got hit by the glasses in the face. When he opened his eyes he saw K' in front of him putting his glasses back on.

"Get ready!" - Said K' starting to punch Kyosuke with a series of punches and kicks. This was not other than the technique know as chain drive

"And now... The final blow!" - Said K' backing up and then launching himself against Kyosuke with his technique called Heat Drive

Kyosuke got sended to the ground. In that moment K' thought he had already won the battle

"I guess this is over." - K'

"Hehehe... That was a pretty nice attempt, boy. I see you're very different from the K' I know." - Said Kyosuke getting up as if nothing had happened

"What? Impossible! You should be dead." - K'

"Sorry to disappoint you but I barely felt that. I guess the sample Ling gave you was defective." - Said Kyosuke covering his entire body in fire

"Bastard!" - K'

Meanwhile the fight with Athenea continued

"Tell me, girls. When are you going to start to get serious?" - Said Athenea in a mocking tone after sending Angel to the ground a second time

"Kula, quickly. Lets create an ice dome that covers all the space between her and us." - Blaze

"I can do that." - Said Kula creating an ice dome with Blaze that trapped them and Athenea making their fight unable to be seen by the rest

"What are you two trying to do? You seriously think this ice cage will hold me back, Blaze?" - Athenea

"Well, lets see how good you are at ice skating." - Blaze

"Now Kula!" - Said Blaze as she a Kula launched at the same time to attack Athenea at the same time both with ice blades on their hands

"Predictable!" - Said Athenea preparing herself to dodge Blaze and Kula's attacks

In that moment Blaze stopped running making Athenea feel confused. Blaze then touched the ground creating an ice trail that started approaching Athenea

But then Athenea saw Kula was closer and decided to attack her with a Psycho ball but then Kula jump backing up from Athenea causing more confusion to Athenea. Athenea then returned to see the ice trail stoping moments before she was prepared to jump

In that moment Athenea heared a crack, she saw a giant pillar of ice coming from the ceiling about to crush her. She then dodged it but her legs accidentally touched the ice trail Blaze had left. Her legs got frozen quickly as she saw Blaze had set her up for a trap

"What!?" - Said Athenea trying to free herself from the ice. The ice then started covering her whole body leaving her unable to move

"(Impossible! I can't move, this cold doesn't let.. Let me move.)" - Thought Athenea seeing how her entire body had been frozen

"Now Kula. Angel. Get out of the dome." - Said Blaze creating a small hole for Angel and Kula to get out of the dome

On the outside o the dome Blaze and Kula starting making the dome fall to pieces with the hope of crushing Athenea

"(So that was their plan? Trapping me here to be crushed by these spikes. No way I'm getting beated by that pathetic child and that bitch good for nothing Blaze!)" - Thought Athenea trying to break the ice she was trapped on while seeing how the walls of the dome started filling themselves with spikes

"Let's bury her forever. This is for all the people you have killed, you damn monster!" - Blaze

The dome collapsed on top of Athenea. Blaze, Angel and Kula cheered having won the battle

"Phew... She was not pushover." - Said a tired Kula

"Finally." - Blaze

"BLAZE!" - A voice was heared coming from the rubbles of the dome

"No! It can't be." - Blaze

An angry looking Athenea started walking out of the rubble with her arm injured after being crushed by the dome

"Blaze! You damn whore! I hope you enjoyed your life while it lasted because in a couple of minutes I'll have you and those freaks drowning in your own blood." - Said Athenea healing her arm

"Ah damn it!" - Angel

"Now how about round two?" - Athenea as her body started glowing in a purple aura

Meanwhile things were not going well for Ling

"What's the problem, Ling? Feeling too old." - Said Mr. Karate while he and Terrence attacked Ling at the same time

Ling was getting overwhelmed by both fighters at this point the fight wasn't turning to his favor and he was throwed to the ground

"(I need to think of something quickly before this two kill me!)" - Thought Ling

"(I'll have to use my last resort but I need to catch both at the same time if not this attack will be worthless.)" - Ling

In that moment Ling pressed a button that was in the wrist of his battle armor. Ling felt how his power grow and managed to get up

"(First step is completed now I must wait for the right moment.)" - Ling

Ling keep fighting against both members of the Inferno Force, still being not match for them Ling fell on his knees on the ground. Terrence and Mr. Karate were ready to kill Ling.

"Come on, Ryo. Let's get this idiot out of his misery." - Terrence

"About time." - Mr. Karate

"Kyokugen-style Secret Technique!" - Said Mr. Karate running towards Ling

"Are you okay?..." - Said Terrence running preparing himself to attack Ling too

"No! Is you who will be out of your misery." - Ling

Ling punched the ground with enough force to make a giant black hole appear above him. Shocking Terrence and Mr. Karate who didn't expect Ling to put one last card at that moment.

"Impossible!" - Shouted Terrence with total fear

"I thought that man had no more energy." - Said Mr. Karate trying to avoid being sucked by the hole

Both fighters were trying to avoid getting sucked but in that moment Ling punched the ground once more increasing the force of the black hole

"Aaarrrgghh!" - Both fighters yelled as they were sucked by Ling's technique. The black hole disappeared

"And now the grand final!" - Said Ling holding his hand that now was starting bleeding like if he had cut with anything

Ling took a deep breath. After five minutes had passed since the hole sucked both fighters, Ling punched the ground again with this time a puddle of blood and the mask of Mr. Karate falling from the hole. Terrence and Mr. Karate had been defeated

"If I can recover I'll maybe be able to help the rest." - Said Ling looking tired and out of breath after defeating both fighters

Meanwhile the fight between Maxima and Iori continued

"(He is tough... But that's not really a surprise, after all this is just a different Yagami from another world.)" - Thought Maxima

"Is that all you have? I expected more from a half machine, half human fighter." - Iori

"I'm not done yet." - Maxima

"Good. Then show me your best tricks, Tin Man." - Iori

Iori and Maxima continued their fight. Iori had entered into the riot of blood, being able to control it he created a giant pillar of purple flames but Maxima dodged it and counter attacked with his move called vapor cannon, unfortunately for his surprise Iori dodged his move and attacked him with a series of punches and kicks ending with his technique called 217 Shiki: Aoibana.

"(Damn it! His speed is crazy, it must be the effects of the jericho on his blood. It seens like everything I do against him is useless, maybe I'm fighting him the wrong way.)" - Thought Maxima getting up

"I'm tired of playing with you! Time to tear you apart like the piece of scrap you are!" - Said Iori preparing himself to execute his technique Kin 1211 Shiki: Ya Otome

"(He thinks I don't have anything else to attack him. Good! I only had one last chance to beat him now, I need to wait for the right moment if I fail everything is over.)" - Thought Maxima seeing Iori starting running towards him

"(I'M NOT GOING TO FAIL!)" - Maxima saw Iori almost close to him

When Iori was about to start doing his technique, Maxima grabed him by the arm and with all his forces pulled Iori into his back throwing him to the air doing his Maxima Revenger technique.

Maxima hits Iori three times with his head and before Iori touched the ground Maxima jumps in mid air and grabs him again falling with him breaking Iori's back with his knee.

"You were a tough opponent but this is the end of the road for you!" - Said Maxima looking at the defeated Yagami

"You stupid piece of junk! You think this is over!? I'll return and tear you apart piece by piece, YOU HEAR ME!" - Iori

"Consider yourself to be lucky, unlike your partners you get to live knowing that I defeated you." - Maxima

"Impressive!" - Said Ling seeing Iori defeated on the ground

Closer to the place K' and Kyosuke continued their fight. Having fighted for quite some time both fighters clashed fists with K' kicking Kyosuke, forcing him to back up

"You're sure are something, kid. Too bad your flame is about to be extinguished." - Kyosuke

"I wouldn't be so sure if I was you, look at your team! The only ones left are you and your little girlfriend." - K'

"Don't dare to mock us, worm! Until now you were just lucky." - Kyosuke

"Then come foward, Kusanagi. I'll turn you into ashes." - K'

K' and Kusanagi started changing strikes in what was an even fight.

"Give up, kid." - Kyosuke punched K'

"Not gonna happen, old man." - Said K' getting up quickly

"Please, you really think you can defeat the heir of the Kusanagi clan?" - Kyosuke

"I don't care about the story of your clan or those stupid fairy tales your parents told you before bedtime. The only thing that matters here is life and death!" - K'

Both keep fighting more, it was obvious both were tired but none of them dared to say it

"(That damn kid! If it wasn't for that sample he would be dead at this point.)" - Thought Kyosuke

"I'm tired of seeing your face! Disappear!" - Kyosuke did his technique called Ura 111 Shiki: Ama-no-Murakumo apparently hitting K' All that was left was a smoke cloud

"Hehehe... Did you burned?" - Kyosuke

"So that's all you got..." - K' voice was heared coming from the smoke cloud

K' appeared out of the smoke cloud doing his technique Heat Drive taking Kyosuke out of guard and striking him in the stomach with it

"WHAT!?" - Shouted Kyosuke as he feel the strong impact

"What's the matter, Kusanagi. Feeling tired?" - K'

Kyosuke started backing up. He tried to return to his fighting stance but unable to even stand fell on his knees

"How is this possible! I...I... I am... Being...Defeated?" - Kyosuke

"Shut up!" - Said K' punching Kyosuke in the face sending him unconscious to the ground

"Hmph! That was satisfactory!" - Said K' looking at the defeated Kyosuke

Ling and Maxima approached K'

"You did it!" - Said Ling still injuted but surprised

"It seens you did a good choice by giving me that sample." - K'

"We still can't celebrate. Athenea is still fighting Blaze and the rest, they will need our help. We need to hurry." - Ling

"I hope is not too late." - Maxima

Ling, K' and Maxima went to were the girls were fighting.

"(I don't feel Kyosuke and Yagami's chis anymore! No it can't be, there's not way they could have been defeated.)" - Thought Athenea unable to feel the energy of her partners and husband while dodging Kula and Angel's attacks

"(No wait! I can feel Kyosuke and Yagami's chis but they have decreased alot, is Terrence and Ryo's the ones I don't feel anymore. What happened? Maybe Kyosuke and Yagami won and they are tired, sure that must be it! I must finish this quickly! So I can reunite with them.)" - Athenea

"This is for calling me a freak!" - Said Kula about to strike Athenea

"You don't learn, do you?" - Said Athenea grabing and twisting Kula's arm, then she punched Kula in the face throwing her into the ground defeated

"Kula!" - Said Blaze seeing Kula being throw to the ground like nothing

Angel tried to approach Athenea from behind but Athenea teleported herself behind Angel. She then grabed Angel by the leg and throwed her into the air. Then Athenea appeared in the air kicking the confused Angel to the ground defeating her

"(Her powers had increased alot thanks to the serum. Now that I'm alone by myself, what else I can do against her?)" - Thought Blaze seeing Athenea returning from the sky

"How many times have we done this, Blaze? This is not fun anymore, this is sad." - Athenea

"I'll never stop! As long as monsters like you exist, I'll keep fighting." - Blaze

"Hmph! I see, little Blaze only wants to make daddy proud. To bad your dad isn't here, I would have love to see his reaction when I cut your head off." - Athenea

In that moment K' and the rest were close to the scene

"Damn it! Kula and Angel are down, Blaze is the only one still left standing." - Maxima

"We need to do something." - Maxima

"... I have a plan. Ling, are you coming or not?" - K'

"I'm not in conditions to fight in this moment unfortunately." - Said Ling still injured

"Alright then. I'll go and help Blaze to distract her. Maxima I need you to charge your laser fully." - K'

"Tell me you're not planning to do what I think you're going to do. Are you out of your mind?" - Maxima

"I don't care! Just do it while I help Blaze distract her, when the moment comes I'll give you a signal." - Said K' as he ran towards the scene

"That guy will never change!" - Said Maxima as he started charging his laser

K' appeared to the scene for the shock of Athenea

"Looks like you need some help, Blaze." - K'

"K'! You managed to defeat Kusanagi?" - Asked a shocked Blaze

"What do you think?" - K'

"(Impossible! Kyosuke... Defeated!? NO!)" - Thought Athenea shocked after seeing K' appearing in the scene corfirming her fears

"What's the matter, woman? You look like you saw a ghost." - Said K' taunting Athenea

"Bastard! What did you do to my husband!?" - Athenea

"Your husband is on his way to hell now." - Said K' lying

"(I need to get her attention. This is the best way.)" - K'

"THAT'S IT! Consider yourself dead!" - Said Athenea shaking her fist with murderous eyes towards K'

"DIE!" - Athenea launched herself against K' and Blaze. The three started changing strikes. Athenea totally angry backed up and using her technique called Shining Crystal Bit throwed two big energy spheres towards K' and Blaze.

"K', DODGE!" - Shouted Blaze as she saw both spheres coming to them

K' managed to dodge the sphere but when he was getting up he saw Athenea appearing in front of him.

"This is for Kyosuke!" - Said Athenea kicking a distracted K'

"Is that the best you have!" - Said K' cleaning the blood out of his mouth launching himself against Athenea

Athenea created a giant version of her psycho reflector hurting K' and sending him back to ground again

"You forgot about me, bitch!" - Said Blaze launching two giant spikes of ice to Athenea

"Oh by the contrary, Blaze. How could I ever forget about a useless piece of trash like you!" - Said Athenea returning back the spikes to Blaze

"(Damn, this woman hits hard. She is totally different from that girl of the tournaments.)" - Thought K' comparing Athenea with Athena

"I have enough of your games, Asamiya!" - Said Blaze running towards Athenea

While Blaze and Athenea fighting. K' started to move slowy closer to them

"(Now is my chance, if only I can get closer to her without she noticing it.)" - K'

"Are you ready to die, Blaze?" - Said Athenea while dodging Blaze attacks

"You fight with me hasn't ended yet!" - Said Angel who had awaken

"Angel, you... What!?" - Athenea was interrupted by K' who grabed her trying to restrain her arms

"Now Maxima!" - K'

Maxima came out of the bushes he openened his jacket revealing a giant laser cannon where his chest should be. The cannon started flashing multiple lights

Seeing Maxima about to fire his laser made Blaze understand what was K' trying to do. Blaze quickly removed her glove and approached Athenea

"What!? Blaze, you damn bitch! Don't even think about doing that!" - Said Athenea while K' and Angel holded her arms

"Goodbye, Asamiya!" - Blaze grabed Athenea's forehead with her bare hands using her genetic absortion ability leaving Athenea feeling really weak

"Angel. K'. Run!" - Blaze ran alongside K' and Angel who leaved a weakened Athenea at the mercy of Maxima

"You fools! You think that is going to work with me, I'll reflect that back at you!" - Athenea tried to create a psycho reflector but only a little spark appeared and disappeared

"Now!" - Maxima used his technique called Maxima Laser on Athenea

"Oh no!" - barely being able to stand up Athenea was face to face with the giant beam of energy that was quickly coming towards her

Athenea got hit by that laser in what were two minutes of a big light. When Maxima closed his jacket K' and the rest took a look where Athenea was. Athenea was no more, the full impact of Maxima's laser had disintegrated Athenea's body totally.

"... She is dead." - Blaze

"The Inferno Force is no more!" - Blaze

"After years, they are finally gone." - Ling

"So those were not clones?" - Angel

"No, they were from another world." - Ling

"We still need to take Yagami and Kusanagi into custody." - Maxima

"I want to see Kusanagi's face when he learns his girl is dead." - said Blaze while healing Kula

"Ah... What happened? Did we won?" - Kula had awakened

"Yes. We need to return with the Ikari Warriors." - Maxima

"(I hope Heidern and Rugal had success stopping the Heidern of my world.)" - Thought Ling seeing the stars
