Thanatos groaned softly as his eyes fluttered open. He was in a dimly lit room of white, and it didn't take him long to register the fact it was a hospital. An up and running one, with everything being functional. So he was saved then... Dean saved him, and got him out of there...

Blinking the sleepy away, he soon turned to his right. Feeling a bit stunned to find the Shadow bat was actually there in the room with him. Fast asleep on the chair beside the bed, snoring mildly. There was a few red splotches in his shirt, no doubt having been from his parents.

"Dean..."

Thanatos muttered softly; he could not believe that the other had saved him from his parents. Even in his own state of being in pain, he still saved him... As touched as he was, he... He felt so, soooooo, terrible. Eyes moist, stinging of tears, trying not to let out the waterworks. Not feeling he had the right to cry... he kept messing up around Dean. The other had given him so much, and repay him however hard he tried, and it seemed to make things so much worse for him...

He had no right to be around him, frankly...

Dean hummed a bit to hearing his name. Stretching out a little in the small chair before opening his eyes. Smiling brightly to seeing Than awake.

"Oh! Oh thank goodness you're awake~!"

Slowly. He got up and gently hugged the other. Being careful for both their sakes.

"Dean... Y-You, went an' saved me... Despite the bad condition you're in."

Thanatos softly said, a calm, sadness laced in his voice. And without a doubt, Dean picked up on it as well, as he soon pulled away. Smiling brightly to this. Saying gently.

"Of course I did Than. I'd never leave you to something like that. Besides. I'm feeling better, and they weren't any trouble. Really. I'm just glad you're ok~"

"That's sweet..."

Slowly looking away from Dean's eye, sadly/calmly gazing at his lap. Feeling his breath mildly hitching as he went to speak.

"I've been thinking. And I'm thinking that, once I'm let out of the hospital, I should, move out of your place..."

"Wha-huh?"

Dean got out softly. PURELY shocked he was. Eyes wide and mouth agape. POSITIVE he hadn't heard that right!

"B-but... but why? Is something wrong? Did... did I do something...?"

"You did nothing Dean. Nothing wrong at all. I just thought about it recently, and thought that'd be for the best. Be better on Eli, Spikey and you."

Thanatos calmly, lowly said this without looking at the other. Looking at the wall frankly, just unable to meet the others gaze. Dean bit his lip to this. Looking down sadly. Trying to think of how to approach this...

"... it wouldn't be best for me or Spikey. Spikes gonna be crushed if he knew you were leaving... I don't think Eli would be any better. And I certainly don't want you to go..."

"D-Don't... Don't prentend, okay? I'm NOT important!"

Feeling himself snap; Thanatos looked at Dean, eyes glared with tears stinging them. Trying not to break down, but yet, he could feel the dam breaking.

"W-Why do you say all those things? Everything is fine, "no foul play, it's okay." It is NOT OK Dean! You're still in pain, I caused you and Spike a S**T load of hell upon you! I-I-I'm not string, nor tough nor assertive like you nor Jake, Fatch and your other friends! I'm USELESS! ... My parents... They're right. I am just a waste of space. I'm way over my head. They. My ex-friends. High school... They all called me a freak of nature. Someone, a thing who could NEVER be truly loved. An embarrassment. Pathetic in looks, persona an' power... I-I just can't take it anymore! I can't go on, with knowing- After causing you, such trouble that I will never be able to forgive myself for! I'm so selfish. Callous. No better than my parents. ... I-If there's one, one thing I'm good for. Two actually. It's either. Being dead. Or become a male prostitute. That's what my parents told me, whilst they tortured me... I really have no purpose in this life. In my life. I serve no benefit. No special anything. Nothing to anyone...!"

The vampire covered his eyes with his good hand. Gritting his fangs together, shaking mildly.

"S-So, just... L-Let me get out, of your life Dean... I d-d-don't- I DONT want to trouble the ONE I LOVE ANYMORE!"

Dean. Taking this all in... what his parents, and others told him... how bad he felt. How he felt... the... one he loved...? H-h-him?! Blushing brightly to it really. Wanting to assure Thanatos everything he'd said was wrong. Wanting to comfort him! ... only able to get out.

"Th-th... one you... love...?"

"*Sniff, hic, sniffle* ... Yes. It's the truth... I-I really, have deep feelings for you Dean. E-Ever since I first met you. Ever since you let me, a TOTAL stranger stay with you for free... It was the bud of my love for you, that first started. Spending my time with you, and your friends... It, it made me feel so happy. So warm inside. It gives me such a happy, fond feeling that I want to live over and over, never to forget it~ How there's another side to you. Many sides, things to the Dean Shadows I thought was nothing but a reckless, insane, dark lunatic! Nothing but a dangerous psycho, I thought at first. I really want you to know that. Despite how shocked, disgusted you are with me right now... An ugly, waste of useless flesh like me. Heheh... You deserve far, FAR far more than wasting your time with me Dean."

Thanatos smiled sadly/bitterly. Sniffling and turning away again; closing his eyes tight as the tears refused to stop.

"You ought to leave now. Go back home an' recover properly. Once I'm out, I'll get my stuff out of your place. Never bother you nor the others."

Dean... didn't know how to think here. He could only sit there and try to process it all. Thanatos... loving him. He actually... loved him...?

"... heh. Heheh...~"

The shadow bat... soooo turned around and dazed... started to giggle a bit. Feeling a bit silly now~ Jake had been right. He should've just talked to Thanatos. Had he known sooner...

"Hahhh... oh Than. I feel silly now...~"

"Of course you do. Wait... What?"

A bit, kinda confused here. Thanatos looked to the other, halfheartedly. Not knowing what on earth he was talking about. Was he just stalling? Trying to be confusing or something? What was he trying to say? Dean slowly calmed down, sighing a bit and still wearing that goofy smile. Drying his eyes a bit, blushing such a red shade as he looked back to him again.

"Than... I, I'm in love with you too silly...~"

Thanatos could feel his face go bright red to hearing that there. Stunned! He could NOT have heard that right! Did Dean just... say he loved him too?!

"Wh-wha-?!"

"Let me finish~"

Dean teased warmly. Smiling, and gently covering the others mouth to get him to stop. Once he did, he moved his hand away and continued.

"I've... I've always liked you, since we first met. You weren't like anyone else I had ever met, and I found myself naturally drawn to you. But... my feelings started to change, when... you taught me how to swim...~"

Looking down shyly, he continued.

"... I was, so afraid to tell anyone I couldn't swim. 19, and I couldn't swim. It's embarrassing... but you... you didn't make fun of me. You just wanted to help me. Help teach me, help me conquer a fear. That's what started my feelings. And, they just continued to grow each day I was around you. I began to notice things about you... how you always seemed so confident in yourself. So sure, not caring what anyone else thought of you. Not turning the cold shoulder to someone like me, who is probably one of the worst people out there... I, I couldn't help myself. I just... I'm in love with you. Like, really, really in love with you. I have no idea how to properly explain how I feel about you... but, just know that I'm being sincere~"

Thanatos... he couldn't get a word out. Only able to stare at the blushing vampire with wide eyes. Blushing violently himself for sure, mind racing with each second. Unable to fully process what he was just told. Not believing that, Dean Shadows of all people... actually liked him too. Him! A boy! He could've sworn Dean wouldn't have been into guys... thought that if he were to like anyone it would've been Tanya!

Dean... actually liked him too... this, felt like such a dream...

There were so many things he wanted to ask him. So many questions he had for him. Yet as he went to ask them... nothing would come out. He was still too stunned, and happy frankly, to question anything. He couldn't figure out what to say to the other...

"... y-you... actually..."

He tried, voice catching again. This didn't feel real, and, he couldn't speak properly. Dean no doubt sensed this, and chuckled a bit.

"Yes. Yes I do actually like you back...~"

"B... I-I don't understand, I-I-... I thought, you wouldn't be, interested in a guy... th-thought, you'd be more interested in Tanya..."

Dean blushed juuuust a bit to this here, looking to the side and rubbing his neck shyly.

"Well... I, I only see Tanya as a little sister. A best friend. I just don't like her that way. And frankly, I don't mind that you're a guy, Than. I like YOU~"

Thanatos looked away, again. Sadly, uncertain he looked. Still so hesitant to believe this...

"... Are you even sure about this? If you got together with me, I'll only embarrass you, I'm sure. With everything I just told you. They're all nothing but the truth... No one. Has ever loved me. I-I mean. Asides from being extremely weak an' useless. I look horrible. Horrendous! Long hair an' make up. What's the point of me looking like this-?"

"Thanatos Acher stop that!"

Dean snapped at him a bit, causing the vampire to jolt and shut up immediately! The shadow bat was glaring at him a bit, but, it was playful. Before he smiled warmly, gently petting his warm cheek.

"Than... that's all wrong. ALL wrong! You don't look horrible. Never did. You look... so very beautiful. Always have. And you are so inside and out~ if you wanna change, that's fine. Cause you'll still be beautiful no matter what...~"

Thanatos went rigid as he heard that. Blushing brightly again. Looking at Dean in disbelief.

"You... think that I-I'm, I'm... Beautiful? Me, honestly?"

Smiling brightly, taking the vampires good hand gently, Dean answered warmly.

"Course I do Than. I have ever since the lake day~ and it hasn't changed in the slightest~"

"So... You, y-you don't care about my imperfections? You really, REALLY, really do actually... love me...?"

Again, tears began to rim his eyes. Looking ready to cry... But, of pure joy this time. Leaning inclose once more... Dean purred put warmly.

"I really don't Than. I really... really DO love you~"

Like that. Breaking down into a fit of tears. Crying in, such, GLAD, HAPPINESS! Swift second he threw his good arm around Dean's shoulders, hugging himself to him.

"I-I-I can't believe this! Y-You-Me- All this time... Oooh, Flash above, I-I can't believe this, I-I-I... Ahhhh! I'm sooooo, happy~!"

No hesitation. Dean hugged back tightly gentle, nuzzling into him mildly. Gently rubbing his back~

"Ahhh~ me too Than~ me too~"

After what seemed like an eternity, the pair finally moved apart. Dean chuckling a bit as he had the other lay flat back onto the bed, gently drying his eyes for him even. He had such a warm, sweet smile that Thanatos could finally feel himself able to relax for the first time in a long time.

"Alright Than. You need to be sure to rest up now."

Dean spoke warmly, smiling to him as he took a step back. To seeing the other vampires look of worry there, he quickly assured.

"It's ok. I'm just going to tell the doctor that you woke up. You've been out for a long time after all. And then I'll be right back. I won't leave you, I promise~"

Blushing, feeling such a warm feeling filling him, Thanatos nodded softly.

"Ok...~"

Dean nodded gently, turning halfway before stopping in his tracks. Thanatos, feeling confused as he saw the other turn a bright red. Wondering what he was doing, thinking even. It looked like he thought of something potentially embarrassing. Before, the shadow bat turned back to him and came back over to him. Sitting right at his side, and leaning in close. Smiling and placing his hands on his cheeks. Thanatos, feeling so confused, wondering what the other was doing, when Dean... leaned in close... and, placed his lips against his! K-KISSED HIM-!

Thanatos felt himself go rigid, blushing so violently to this! His first kiss... was by Dean himself! His first love, first kiss- this was really happening! Slowly, he closed his eyes and tried to relax himself to this sweet moment. Feeling, such a spark within him through this even. Such love... as he placed his free hand on Deans cheek as well. Truly... just savoring this sweet moment~

Yet all too soon it ended. Dean moved himself back, smiling warmly to the other before heading to the door. Thanatos pouting mildly, not wanting that moment to end...

"Oh. And by the way..."

Dean spoke, stopping at the doorway and looking at him from over his shoulder. Smiling, saying playfully.

"That was my first kiss... and, I'm happy it could be it with you...~"

As that, that cheeky half demon left... Thanatos felt his face grow hot again. Now with the knowledge that Dean actually gave him his first kiss. That they both had their first kiss together...~

Absentmindedly, he gently traced his fingers over his lips. Swearing he could still feel the kiss they'd shared a moment ago. Now knowing fully well this wasn't a dream. All this had really happened. Dean loved him back... they were, together now...

A... a couple...~

A smile spread his face, eyes fluttering closed to this knowledge. Finally finding himself able to relax again, as sleep started to overtake him once more.
