Chapter 8: About Kingdoms

At the edge of The Great Wall, Strut got up from under the rocks and shuck his body.

(Strut) Aw, I feel like a mountain fell on me.

(?) IT DID!

(Strut) Is that you Ozzy? Where are you?

(Ozzy) YOU'RE...STANDING...ON ME!

Strut looked down and yelped as he saw 2 glowing red angry eyes that belonged to Ozzy. Strut got off the rocks which allowed Ozzy to get up and shake his body before turning to his brother.

(Ozzy) Did you save the egg?

(Strut) I uh..the uhh...the egg?

Strut's head got injured so bad he couldn't remember what happened to the egg. Ozzy moved his face closer to Strut's until they were beak to beak.

(Strut) Oh. You mean the egg. Well I uhhh...you see uhh...those kids and friends from the mushroom kingdom. Yeah that's it. Those guys were chasing us last night. The same ones that killed Sharptooth. Guess what. They stole our egg. The nerve.

(Ozzy) They did, did they? Well they will pay. And dearly.

The gang just had their breakfast and now they were waiting for the egg to hatch. Mario had moved the egg to a tree stump with grass on it sense the place they were was more secure to hide the egg from the herd.

(Cera) How long do we have to wait?

(Mario) Could be days mabby.

(Birdo) Or just 1 hour. We don't know.

(Petrie) My mama sits on eggs to keep warm. Make egg hatch. Me sit on egg.

Petrie got on the egg as it tipped over on its side. He then sat on it.

(Littlefoot) I wonder what it will be?

(Cera) A girl I hope.

(Mario) Hey. I remember why I was with yoshi in the first place.

(Littlefoot) What, You Do?

(Mario) Yeah it's one of yoshi's first adventures. I'll tell you.

Then Mario's flashback started

(Mario): A stork hurries across the dusky, pre-dawn sky. In his bill, he supports a pair of twins, me and my brother. Suddenly, a shadow appears in a gap between the clouds and races towards the stork with blinding speed.

(Kamek) Flashback: "THE BABIES ARE MINE!"

(Mario): Snatching only one baby, the creature vanishes into the darkness from whence it came and I fell undetected towards the open sea.

Meanwhile, at Yoshi's Island, home to all Yoshies. It's a lovely day, and Yoshi is taking a walk.

(Yoshi) Flashback: Yoshi?! (HUH?!)

(Mario): Suddenly, I landed onto his back. He thought I was fine. Then something else fell with me. It was a map. He thought the stork was using it? But he can't figure it out. So he decides to talk to his friends.

(Kamek) Flashback: AAAAAAAAAAKK!

(Mario): So Kamek and kidnapper of the baby, quickly dispatches his toadies, when he discovers that he missed the other baby! And that's Me! So he heads leisurely back to the others, unaware of the danger at hand. Kamek's forces are actively searching the island. Back with his buddies I knew exactly where to go but I wasn't even able to walk. So yoshi had an idea. He told his buddies to carry me to my destination via a relay system. So our adventure began and we had come a long way and had lots of fun. Although not everything was fun. Me and yoshi had face off Bowser when he was still a baby. So after he was defeated I finally reunited with my brother and rescued the stork. And with that we finally came to the house and met our parents and grew up together and I kept that memory forever.

(Littlefoot) Wow. That's amazing.

(Mario) Yeah thanks and also i think Yoshi kept that too.

(Yoshi) Yoshi Yoshi. (That's right. I did keep that one.)

(Littlefoot) Okay. Anyway, about this egg. When it hatches. Why can't we be its parents?

(Cera) Don't be silly Littlefoot. How can we be its parents?

(Littlefoot) Well. We can raise it. Teach it stuff. It'll be fun. Right?

(Peach) Yeah it would be. You know back at dinosaur land Mario, Luigi, and I were teachers at school.

(Cera) Whoa. That sounds amazing.

(Mario) I know it's amazing.

(Luigi) Not to everyone. School is also where you make friends. Some others like to pick on you.

(Ducky) Like bullies?

(Mario) That's right. And once the egg hatches, we can teach the hatchling about kingdoms.

(Cera) Well I think i'll make the best parent.

(Littlefoot) Why?

(Cera) because i'll let her do anything she wants to.

(Ducky) And our baby will never hear no.

(Daisy) Just as long as you don't let him be a bad dinosaur.

(Littlefoot) What do you do to bad people?

(Peach) That's why we have toads. Some live in villages and in my castle. They keep me safe from Bowser and his Koopalings but Toadsworth is at home so he can't come. And Mario and his friends always save me after defeating him.

(Mario) Blushing: Aw come on Peach your making me blush.

(Peach) Okay Mario. Well once the egg hatches we can tell you more about the kingdoms.
