Katsuki held Izuku by his collar and pinned him against the wall with an angry look in his eyes, he held him there and spoke not one word. Izuku guessed he didn't know what he was mad about and didn't care either, as long as he was available to receive the anger then that would suffice. Katsuki's ruby eyes kept staring dead-on into Izuku's emerald ones, anger clashing with confusion and fear. School had ended not too long ago and Izuku was trying to get out immediately after his detention was over, but was captured in his attempt and brought to the back of the school where he couldn't escape at the moment, at least it was only Katsuki here and not his followers.
"Hey look Bakugo already has him here!"
'...Why do I set off flags like this?'
His followers assembled behind Katsuki and smirked at Izuku, enjoying the sight of a confused and scared quirkless loser. Katsuki's palms started heating up and he seemed to get angrier.
'Wait, what's he getting angrier for?' Izuku looked at Katsuki again, he was definitely angrier but the reason for that was unknown.
"Oy, Bakugo, let us have a shot at him. You don't look like you're hitting him or anything so let us help you."
For some unknown reason, Katsuki snapped. He dropped Izuku without a second thought letting him landly awkwardly on his rear and then turned around to his followers. He gave them a hard glare and took a step forward.
"Who said I needed your help with this? I don't need anyone's help with anything! There's no way I would ever lose! I'm not weak! I CAN TAKE CARE OF MYSELF SO WHY DON'T YOU WORRY ABOUT YOURSELF!"
They took a step back in surprise and Katsuki, in turn, took another step forward, lighting up dangerously big explosions while doing so. "What are you talking about Bakugo? We never said you were weak." "Everyone knows you're not weak!" "You're a top candidate in our school to enter UA why would you be weak?"
"THEN WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT HELPING ME!?"
"We didn't mean anything by that honest!" "Yeah, you're the strongest one out of all of us you would never need our help!" "If anything, we would be the ones to need YOUR help!" "Why are you so mad?"
Katsuki spit on the ground and walked off to leave the school grounds, leaving behind a confused audience. 'I can handle anything that comes my way, whether it's a slime villain or not. I was just caught by surprise. There's no way someone like me would ever lose and need help.'
Izuku watched Katsuki storm off. He didn't know what to think. He obviously wasn't going to ever talk about this to anyone since it would cause more pain, but he wasn't expecting Katsuki to act like that. Had the incident affected him that much? Apparently, his followers didn't know what to think of the situation either, some of them decided to leave Izuku alone and go home for the day. Some talked among themselves about what they thought happened. Others stared in confusion in the direction where Katsuki had stormed off to, without showing signs of movement. Izuku took this chance to slip away from all of them and try to avoid any other violent encounters for the day, and he was doing good until he got to the school's gate where he met with more of his tormentors. However, these two were different from the rest at his school because of the simple fact that they didn't go to his school. They went to Konoha Middle School. The uniform showed that clearly. One had brown hair and the other had black hair with both of them having the same colored eyes as their hair. Once the three of them met they all froze in place. Izuku already feeling the dread of what was to come, while the other two smiled at him.
The black hair spoke first, "Well well well, if it isn't DEKU!"
With the brown hair talking after him just as they usually spoke, "I can't believe we crossed paths again, it must be fate"
"You know I got a pretty bad grade in school today, and I've got an urge to let my frustration out on something. Would you care to help me, Dekuuu?"
Izuku took a step back and then tried to run, but not before they each put an arm around his neck.
"Hey now, you know there's no getting out of this."
Izuku looked down at his other friend, the ground, "Why me?"
Some words were spoken to answer his question, but Izuku heard none of them except the one that haunted him.
"Quirkless."
...
Kendo took off her shoes, "I'm home!"
Her mother came to greet her as usual. "Welcome home sweetie, how was school?"
"It was good, mostly, I had to deal with all the boys again for the whole day. Other than that, nothing else happened." Itsuka went deeper into her home along with her mother and found her father watching TV again. He laughed a hearty laugh and then noticed her, smiling at her, he waved his daughter over to join him in his enjoyment of the comedy show he was currently invested in. Doing exactly that, she sat down on the couch as well and observed what was making her father laugh. Her mother decided to sit down next to them as well and they all enjoyed some time together. But something was still bugging Itsuka, so she decided to voice her troubles to her parents.
"Hey mom, dad, can I ask you two something?"
Her mother turned to her, ready to answer whatever her sweet daughter was going to ask. While her father took a second to process what was just asked of him. Then also turned around but a little too quickly.
"MY Itsuka needs MY help? You've never asked for my help before! This must be a sign from above, I've been recognized as an amazing father! What can I do for my little pumpkin!?"
'...You embarrass me so much, you know that?'
*Clears throat*
"Anyway, what I wanted to ask had to do with my friend that I meet in the morning sometimes. There was something that happened today but I can't figure it out by myself, so I would like your opinions on this. This morning, I was deep in thought about something, and because of that I failed to notice him trying to get my attention."
Her mother and father looked at each other and then back at her, "It doesn't sound like that's a big issue."
"Wait I didn't finish yet. So then he tried to shake me, which worked at getting my attention back, but right when I realized what was going on he jumped far back and started apologizing profusely. It was a bit confusing as to why he was apologizing so much but I figured it must be because he seems to be a bit quirky and jumpy with others. Then it got even weirder because he was shaking and he asked me not to hurt him."
This got her parents' attention and they listened more intently to her figuring this was a bit serious.
"I don't know if there's something wrong he isn't telling me about, or if I did something wrong. What do you guys think?"
They both took a second to process what was told to them, and then her mother spoke first. "It's true that he might be quirky and jumpy with others, going from what you told us about him before. But I think there is indeed something he might not be telling you about."
Her father then took his turn to speak. "Itsuka." He didn't use a nickname, and he sounded serious for once. It caught her off-guard from his usual way of talking. "You value the friendship you have with this boy correct? If so, then I believe the best thing for you to do is not get stuck here overthinking things. Ask him directly, the only way to get any real answer is to get it from him directly. Maybe if you get him to open up about what might be happening, you could help him if he seems like he needs it."
He put his hand on her head and ruffled her hair a bit with a smile, then he stood up and switched back to his usual goofiness. He stood in front of his wife and went down on one knee, with one hand on his heart and another being offered to take her hand. "Now my queen, let us depart to our room and sleep, it has gotten late."
Her mother laughed an amused laugh and took his hand, while he guided both of them to their room for the night. Itsuka smiled at her father's antics and then thought about what he said to her a moment earlier. She didn't have any homework to do for tonight and she wasn't hungry either so she went to shower and brush her teeth for the night.
*Thump*
Itsuka fell onto her bed while still contemplating her father's words. She kept thinking for a while until she came to a decision, she would ask Izuku what, if anything, was going on and if she could help in any way. 'If there's anything I can do to help then I'll try my hardest. After all, we're both trying for UA in less than a week'. She looked at her clock to see how late it was, and decided to finally close her eyes for the day.
...
She opened her eyes to the familiar playground once again, and looked around. Just like her last time being here it was once again just her and the boy.
Izuku looked at her and spoke, "It's okay."
Itsuka really wished she would see his face alrea-
Wait, his face was fully visible. Itsuka blinked twice, astonishment and excitement written all over her face. Izuku was staring back at her with a smile. The little Izuku but Izuku none the less! 'IT WAS MIDORIYA!'
...
Itsuka woke up the next morning feeling better rested than she had ever felt before. It was as if a weight she hadn't know about was suddenly lifted off of her, and she felt so happy. 'I have to thank him the next time I see him. This makes me want to help him even more, but I wonder if he will remember me too if I mention it?' Itsuka shook her head and smiled, getting off her bed and stretching her body. 'Most of all, I'm glad I found you again. Or should I say I remembered you again? Maybe both? That's not important, I think.' Itsuka finished her stretching and made her way to the bathroom.
