CHAPTER 8: ARMOR OF PENDRAGON.
(POV: Mysterious Narrator.)
As Thomas and the commander began their battle, Billster was still in the hall of the temple, sprinting as fast as he could.
(POV: Billster.)
As I darted through the halls, I began to notice that there were some flame patterns amongst the walls, ceiling and floor.
"Am I getting close?" I thought to myself, as I then took another turn and found a door at the end of the hallway. "Is that it?" I then asked myself, as I then walked to the door and looked closely at it.
The door had a lot of the flame detail, and the temperature felt warmer than it did when I was in the halls. As I then spotted a hole that was the same size as the portal's, I took my medallion out and inserted it. As I then stood, the ground began to shake a little and the door slid out of the way. After witnessing the door open, I then stepped into the room that was behind it. I looked around and gasped as I saw all the torches that flickered with blue flames, and the same details that saw from outside with a intense blue glow.
"This is definitely it." I thought. "The chamber of flames."
As I then looked towards where all the flame details started from, I saw a blue one handed sword that looked to be of an overall length of 41 inches. I then ran excitedly to it, and closely examined it.
"There's no doubt..." I thought. "This sword... It's Blue-Spark."
As I then reached for the handle, I suddenly was teleported to a dark place that was light with only blue flames. I was about to explore it, when I then spotted a figure with an intense blue cloak. Though I never met him or seen him in my life, I just somehow KNEW that this was Blue-Spark's previous wielder.
(POV: Mysterious Narrator.)
As Billster was busy inside the temple, Thomas was being knocked about as he attempted to fight against the commander. The E2 driver clashed blades with the commander, fell down, dodged, got up, and the cycle started all over again. Then suddenly, as the Commander activated a sword spell, Thomas got ready to block it, but to only be sent flying back very far. Obviously thinking that his opponent is done for, the knight commander began to head back to his previous task, before the poison within Lady wore off.
(POV: Thomas.)
As I then got up again, I saw the knight commander make his way back to Lady.
"Crud!" I thought. "Lady's going to be screwed! I must stop him!"
As I then got ready to reach for my sword, I quickly stopped, for it's blade was damaged and shattered.
"Shoot! What now?!" I thought, as I then caught a glimpse of her rapier which was about a yard from me. "That's it!" I exclaimed within my thoughts as I then remembered something. "Think back... Remember how it felt in your hand... Envision it within your grasp."
(POV: Mysterious Narrator.)
As Thomas had his eyes closed, golden sparks emitted from his right hand, as so did the outline of a sword. As the knight commander then arrived back at his previous spot, he got ready to finish the princess off.
"Now you die!" He said, as there was suddenly the sound of running footsteps from nearby.
"Are you forgetting, someone?!" Thomas cried as he suddenly parried the strike once again and started to fight once more.
(POV: Lady.)
As I then watched Thomas fight the commander again, I was in great shock and amazement, for he was not just using my rapier, but also, a golden sword that I never thought that I'll ever see.
"T-that sword..." I exclaimed within my mind. "That's.."
My thoughts were cut short as I then saw some armor appear upon him out of nowhere as he dual wielded. I could not believe what I was seeing before me. For it was of a prophecy that I heard sometime back within my childhood.
"A nobleman, of a pure true heart, will be the heir of Excalibur, and decide the victor of the war of Camelot. Either keeping the world of it's freedoms, or being persuaded by the false king, and bringing tyranny and darkness upon it."
As I then continued to watch, I suddenly felt myself being able to move, as Thomas then stabbed the commander, before having the armor and sword within his right hand disappear and fainting. As I then caught him, I smiled for I KNEW what he must face at some point.
"It's so hard to believe..." I said to him, even though he didn't hear my words. "But here you are. Within my arms. Oh goodness me, you have some days ahead of you, Thomas. But I will ensure that you'll be safe and ready for when that day comes... Heir of pendragon, Child of Avalon."
(To be continued...)
