The idea of drinking Human blood at all was disconcerting to Bella, as she said, "I know I need the human blood, but I don't have to like it."

"Bella!" Lilly said offhandedly, "Yes you will be feeding from a person and not a bag, however I so screen the people I feed from quite thoroughly."

That was news to Bella as she looked at her maker contemplatively as Lilly says, "Disease or Virus can affect the taste and us, and then there is the psychological tests!"

Tanya, said, "Over the years, there have been people like yourself that have figured out what I was, the only problem is they had a death fixation they didn't want me!"

Later that day Lilly approached the border between La Push and "Cullen" territory perched on her shoulders is a 600-pound Grizzly bear. On the other side of the boarder was a wolf trying to figure out what was going on.

"I know you share a link with Sam, I need to speak with him!"

Sam Uley approached the rather unusual scene asking, "Lilly?"

"It's funny you don't smell like a vampire at all." Sam said shaking his head as he walked up.

Looking at the pack leader Lilly asks, "Do you condemn the tiger because it kills the dear!"

"Alright, alright… I see your point" Sam said holding up his hands defensively.

"All we are doing is following out nature!" Lilly offered, as she looked at him smirking.

"Very well… a lot of the pack were heartbroken to discover she already had a mate!" Sam said

Lilly chuckled and said, "She does have that effect, and she doesn't have a mate, she says that because it's easier than the truth!"

Taking his knife Sam cut open his palm and then offered it to Lilly who used her own fingernail to cut open her own palm, as the shook hands Sam said, "You have my word as Alpha!"

"To answer your question, she is something that shouldn't exist!" Lilly asked.

"Have you ever wondered why vampires don't give birth Sam!"

Sam looked at her saying, "Now that you mention it!"

"In order to do it, we have to overcome our bloodlust… we have to control out most primal instincts!" Lilly said as she walked back across the treaty borderline.

Looking back over her shoulder Lilly said. "And Sam, I'm sure Augustina, could give you a better Idea of timeframe but, their comes a point where Werewolves and sifters can no longer change back!"

"Meaning!" Sam asked pointedly.

"Their wolf nature becomes to strong Sam... one day you will become a wolf and stay that way!" Lilly said, "I'm sorry, I truly am!"

Elsewhere in Forks Tanya and Bella/Maria stood over the grave of Charlee Swain, taking a knee Bella/Maria said, "I miss you!"

From just behind them Jackob Black asked, "Did you know him!"

Turning to face Jake Maria said, "Friend of the family!"

30 minutes later at Sully's Burgers Tanya and Bella whose Hair was now dark red with pale skin and blue eyes walk up to Lilly who is eating a burger and fries

"Doesn't that make you… sick!" Bella asks watching her.

Using the name of the person whose face Bella is borrowing Lilly said, "No Maria not really!"

"You didn't tell me it would change her scent!" Tanya commented.

"Well although not its primary use, it can be used to evade capture!" Lilly stated.
