Alola!

If you're wondering why I didn't upload on last, last, Last Friday, or Last Friday, or this Friday…

School.

Online School.

It takes up more time than you expect, and really doesn't make you want to write afterwards.

I had to edit this on my phone because the website was down tonight, so sorry in advance for the grammatical errors.

Also, this is part two of three…

Yeah, this is long.

These last few chapters have focused on Shulk you may have noticed. That's on purpose, just to get a few things set up while slowly building up what Eleven is going to do.

I'll tell you right now, the further we get on, the wackier (I hate that word but it applies,) and stranger the plot points characters and bosses will get.

For instance, …

Mmm….

I can't wait for chapter 32 because it has my favorite plot point despite how dumb it is, and it heavily involved stealth.

Perhaps you can decipher a few things from that…

Anyways…

This is a very long chapter, and… just… just keep in mind that… it's probably like… best to read this near the middle of the day, I mean it's not really that long to myself, but like…

It's long, y'know?

Uh… something, something, funny joke here.

Anyways, y'all then after you're done reading.

And do your schoolwork or perish.

{Sonic Forces OST – Final Boss Battle ~ Phase 3 (EXTENDED)}

Eggman fiddled with the machinery inside his machine like a hyper-reactive third grader. These Smash Brothers imbeciles had become an unfortunate nuisance he had had to deal with, and it was getting old fast. All that the blonde boy had to do was let him join Smash Brothers, but nooooo, he had to be so harsh apparently.

I mean, who did he think he was?

The only person who could be rude to him and get away with it was Sonic.

And Sonic's friends…

And Mario's friends whenever they go to the Olympics…

And random people he passed on the street…

Okay so everyone made fun of him, big deal, it WAS STILL RUDE. Even worse coming from a kid who was probably given everything instead of actually working like he had to. I mean, what were the chances he went on some grand 100 hour adventure that could be considered one of the greatest JRPG's of all time?

"Kids these days…" Eggman sighed, shaking his head. He had been trying to get a general idea of where they all were, but the visual aid he was using, the heat signals, couldn't make out two of them. The one in front of him, Min Min was it? He saw her at the initiation that took place not too long ago.

He'd flashback, but the fight ahead was far more important. Eggman yanked the lever on his left arm backwards, finally gaining back control of the blasted appendage. Hopefully his plan had worked and the anime looking guy had been taken care of. Though knowing his luck, chances were slim.

Not helping him at all was the body he was forcefully shoved into by the boss. You would think it would be fine, but Sonic's body proportions are far too different to properly operate machinery.

Getting back on task, with both arms successfully pulled back, Eggman used his ring finger to pressed a button near the middle of his setup, activating the legs to propel him into the air. Once he was midair, he held down the button to activate the hovering mechanisms on the feet, heading backwards to protect the Death Egg Robots back.

It wasn't that hitting the back of the Death Egg Robot hurts it, rather it messed up the vital systems, vision, heat sensors, and the all-important mini-fridge were all powered by a generator back there. Too many hits, and those things overheat, which bakes the robot, killing it in the process.

The new operating system should have removed that weakness, but the new system seemed the exact same, plus a few things like those strange capsules and an obtuse personality.

It's like he's wanting me to fail, I swear…

Perhaps The Boss did, perhaps he didn't, but that didn't matter, did it? It was time to land!

"Get a load of this!" Eggman yelled, letting go of the button and successfully landing, causing a shockwave, though he couldn't see what he hit. Immediately he checked for the heat signals, and found that the three were somehow still alive.

It was a very methodical process what Eggman was doing. Attack, check heat signals, then attack from there, though it was still very stressful. One thing The Boss actually provided was the wonderful spirit harvester on his back. Though how it used the spirits he had no clue.

All of Eggman's secretive attempts to harness the energy of the spirits like he did the Hyper-go-on energy of the Wisps, and to an extent the Phantom Ruby, had failed miserably. Honestly, he didn't trust The Boss, and he was pretty sure the other guys at initiation didn't either.

What could an eccentric duo like that possibly want with spirits anyways?

Eggman shook his thoughts off, and focused his attention on the fight ahead.

There was no way he could POSSIBLY LOSE!

And… he jinxed it.

Well sh-

{=}

Eleven landed from his jump above the shockwave, being to the left, facing the Death Egg Robot head on. Shulk and Min Min were to his right, probably landing as well, and Eleven put his hand on his chin to think…

Uh…

What were his spells again?

There was uh… started with an F?

...

No…

"You okay?"

I think I'm out of MP.

MP was a rather lucrative resource, being scarce yet somehow plentiful. Everyone had it, or at least everyone he knew before the tournament had it, but not all could use it. You had to harness your magical might from youth, or in his case get lucky and be the chosen one.

Eleven shook off the thought of spells for now, his MP would charge eventually, and held put his attention back on his sword. He was a swordsman after all, even if most of his better attacks used MP…

In fact all of his decent abilities used MP…

Well, good old-fashioned swordsmanship never failed except for when the opponent has a projectile, or a command grab, or a disjoint, or…

Shaking off any bad memories, Eleven held his sword forward and rushed ahead, cascading towards the big robot. As he got closer, almost as if it were a security camera, the Death Egg Robots body turned towards Eleven, nearly making him stop in his tracks as he slowed down.

"Take this!" Eggman yelled as another reticle appeared above Eleven, immediately making him hold his shield out to block the probably upcoming capsule, still making his way forward. Eleven peered up and saw another one of those capsules flying towards him, and stopping for a moment Eleven held his head is high and dodged out of the way-

{}

"Take this!" Eggman yelled as another reticle appeared above Eleven. Eleven stopped and looked around getting a strange feeling of Deja vu. Eleven looked back towards his associates, Shulk was to the far left of him, and Min Min was just behind Eleven, though standing back a bit. Eleven turned back to Eggman, and saw another capsule, one blue in color.

He held up his shield to it, and heard a clank as the capsule banged against his shield. Eleven turned his attention back to Eggman, but then something suddenly pulled him forward, or rather his arm forward. Eleven looked towards his arm, the one his shield was on, and saw the blue capsule from before hanging onto the front of his shield like a spider crawling on a wall.

Then the robot hanging onto his shield began to move upwards, slowly at first but it quickly became apparent that it was trying to fly away with his shield!

Eleven held his grip tight as the capsule, probably slowed down by his weight, began to lift him off the ground, almost as if he had consumed a fizzy beverage in a candy factory. Eleven was a bit disorientated by his feet lifting off the ground haphazardly, and tried to yank the shield back down, his legs kicking furiously.

"Hey, don't break my robots!" Eggman said, putting all of his attention on Eleven. The Gauntlet arm of the Death Egg Robot pointed his direction. "GET… OFF!" Eleven swung on the finicky capsule and turned as the arm came spiraling towards him at a horrifyingly fast pace.

Eleven heard Shulk speak, though it wouldn't do much. "Watch out!" were the words he heard.

It was too late however, as it was all Eleven managed to hear before the Gauntlet slammed into him and his shield, a field of black filling his vision momentarily, before wind rushed past him, and he felt his entire body smash against a hard surface.

{=}

{Cease music}

"Watch out!" Shulk called as the Death Egg Robot's massive gauntlet collided with Eleven sending him flying into the back wall, knocking over a podium in the process. The robot Eleven was holding on to kept flying upwards, and when it was out of view Shulk turned to Eggman.

"Down goes Frazier!" Eggman yelled triumphantly, "Who's next?"

Shulk wanted to bite hit bottom lip as there was a clear problem at hand. It would be nearly impossible to get behind the robot, especially with those capsules it kept sending out.

If only there was a tactician around…

!

"Wait a minute…" Shulk said, remembering a prior conversation he had.

The plan was simple:

Eleven and Shulk would head into the cathedral and kill whatever was in there, while everyone else waits on the bridge in case of emergency…

"Of course!" Shulk yelled looking over to Min Min who seemed to be considering whether to go help Eleven. "Min Min, over here!" Shulk called as she immediately rushed over.

"Hm?" she asked, sounding slightly exasperated.

"Okay, this is going to sound weird, but I need you to carry Eleven, okay?" Min Min blinked twice in confusion. "Ok, head out the side entrance towards the bridge, and once you reach the end of the bridge there should be like…" Shulk paused trying to remember the number of people. "Nevermind, just tell them that they need to advance to help out, okay?"

"Ok!" Min Min replied. "But… what about… yourself?" she asked.

"I'll be fine, I've got the Monado and… a few friends on my side." He replied.

"Oh, okay then…" Min Min replied as if he had just informed her of every single anime that he watched in a non-ironic tone.

Shulk watched to make sure she could properly pick up Eleven and his weight, and thankfully she could. She picked up his sword, then made her way out the door.

Shulk turned towards the Death Egg Robot.

"Are you admitting defeat?" Eggman asked giddily, "This is the second time I've actually won against a hero!" he cheered. "Hold on, let me take a picture!"

"He's not done, genius." a robotic voice perked up.

"Oh," Eggman realized, sounding disappointed. "Then let's continue, shall we?"

"You want a fight?" Shulk asked. "Let's do this!"

"Hold on a minute!" Sonic suddenly called out, floating in front of Shulk, "Hey Eggman, long time no see!"

"That voice!" Eggman remarked, sounding concerned, "How did you escape that vase?"

"Well, let's just say, I had help from a friend." Sonic's spirit turned towards Shulk before turning back to Eggman, "Now it's time for the end of you!"

"It's not time for the end, we haven't even passed five thousand words!" Eggman remarked.

"Just make your move, Baldy McNosehair." Sonic chided.

"I thought that joke died after the Lost Hex!" Eggman yelled in annoyance. "Whatever, you make your move hedgehog!" Eggman paused. "And other guy."

"Alright Chuck, let's do this!" Sonic said.

Shulk nodded instead of responding, and tapped into the power of the Monado. His Monado Arts, at least the ones he was permitted to use in the Smash Brothers Tournament were Shield, Jump, Speed, Buster, and Smash. The robot wasn't going to let up on the attacks probably. He just needed to buy time, wear it down…

"Buster!" Shulk yelled as the Monado surrounded him in a purple aura. "Behold the power of the Monado!"

{Mechanical Rhythm – Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition}

Eggman didn't reply to Shulk's announcement of power, and Shulk waited as they both stood there, each waiting for the other to move. Shulk decided it was time, and with a resounding scream rushed forward, almost in unison with the Death Egg. They were a second away, and Shulk with the speed boost from Sonic's spirit made a preemptive jump.

"Air Slash!" Shulk cried as he made an upward slash whilst jumping, soon making another slash midair one that clanked against the bottom of the Death Egg Robot's body, not seeming to do any damage. Clearly Eggman didn't expect the jump as the robot's right foot slammed down onto the ground.

"Nice!" Sonic said.

"Thanks." Shulk said as he landed, leaning backwards as he did, but correcting his posture. He stopped, and looked around for any more options of attack. "Buster will probably run out soon.", was his next thought as a targeting reticle appeared over him. Shulk walked backwards as a red capsule came flying towards him from the back of the robot.

Shulk thought about how to get rid of it for a moment before holding the Monado directly upright, waiting for the capsule to get closer. When the capsule was directly above him Shulk extended the blade of the Monado and it pierced the capsule, cracking it midair into two pieces.

His Buster Monado art was depleted and Shulk quickly rolled back as the robot stomped forward again and the foot landed in front of him. Shulk flipped backwards and looked towards his left where Min Min had run off to, then quickly turned his attention back to the robot.

"Take this!" Eggman yelled as the robot jumped backwards to Shulk's dismay. The robot extended its electrically charged arm from before towards Shulk, and seeing the obvious attack coming Shulk dodged out of the way quickly as the hand dug into the ground.

"Careful!" Sonic yelled.

"Don't worry, I wouldn't fall for that." Shulk said under his breath looking towards the hand. He then began to make a run towards the right side of the Death Egg Robot, getting closer to his destination at high speeds.

!

A vision!

"Not so fast!" Eggman said as the gauntlet hand suddenly soared towards Shulk, who didn't see the attack coming. The arm hit directly in front of Shulk, and he got knocked into the air and fell directly onto his back as the gauntlet retracted to a neutral position.

Shulk returned to the present and stopped in his tracks.

"Hm…" Shulk muttered as he looked around for anything he could try. There didn't seem to be any good way to approach, not without getting attacked anyway. The Death Egg Robot's electrical arm came back to it, and Shulk watched as another reticle appeared above him.

Shulk held the Monado up and made his way towards the left of the robot, looking carefully at the incoming capsule. Once the capsule got close enough, Shulk pushed the Monado into it skewering it much like the previous one.

His heart was beating faster than a hammer on a nail, and he was getting tired almost. Hopefully the reinforcements would arrive soon, but until then Shulk would have to play the waiting game, though would it be enough.

"Come up here and fight me why don't you?" Eggman yelled.

"Don't forget, you can always run away." Sonic suggested, trying to help. "That's how I won my last Tournament after all!"

"Really?" Shulk asked. "Well, tell me about it after we defeat this guy, alright?"

"Alright!" Sonic replied, "Let's do this!"

Shulk held the Monado up, and waited for Eggman to make his next move.

He could do this…

Lets go!

{Dragon Quest 11 – Realm Between Worlds}

Eleven wasn't awake, he knew that part. He was in a swirling void of darkness, the type that usually came with Death, or in his case being knocked out. But, for a strange reason he didn't feel unconscious. Eleven opened his eyes, and found himself…

It was the same place from before, the dark void with the staircase and throne.

"You need to be careful Eleven."

Eleven looked around to see if he could find anything else of interest, but there didn't seem to be much else. He couldn't even see where… ugh, Aspect's voice was coming from.

"Eleven, listen."

Where is this?

"It's… around." Before Eleven could respond however… Aspect… actually said more than one sentence in a row. "Never mind that, the point is that if you aren't more careful, your party member Shulk may grow too powerful."

Do you two know each other or something?

"Define your question."

Do you just hate Shulk?

"No."

Eleven walked up the staircase, but once he got halfway up, something odd happened. He froze. Literally, he couldn't walk up the steps, nor could he move. It was as if time stopped, and Eleven wasn't sure what to do.

"Eleven, we have a clear problem at hand." Suddenly a ball of light entered Eleven's view. "Your associate Shulk has obtained lots of abilities that will prove useful on his quest."

"You need something to help you Eleven." Aspect said. "But you don't really have anything, do you?"

I don't understand... explain.

"Your quest will become easier when you find the other Heroes, but I feel that by the time you do it will be too late." Aspect explained. "I'm currently not that strong but I will ask, is there anything you require from- oh shoot."

Huh?

"You're being awakened I'm afraid, so we'll continue this conversation la-"

{=}

Eleven shot up and held his forehead which for some reason was throbbing in pain. Eleven saw that he was leaning against a wall, in what appeared to be in the reception hall he was in prior.

"It appears he's alright." Seteth said, making Eleven quickly turn over to Seteth. He was holding some sort of lance, and the others, Flayn, Rhea, … uh… purple hair girl, and Min Min were standing next to him.

"Wonderful," Rhea replied. "Now, Eleven was it?" Eleven nodded. "The person who brought you here, they are from the Super Smash Brothers tournament as well, yes?" Eleven nodded yet again. "Well, is the tournament still going on?"

Eh…

Not really.

Eleven shook his head to indicate no. Rhea didn't say anything else, and Seteth began to speak.

"Well, not that that's settled, we will set out immediately." He said as Eleven started to rise from his position. Strangely however, Seteth held his hand out to stop him. "You and Lady Rhea will stay here whilst we all go help Shulk."

Eleven had like a million questions he wanted to ask, probably more honestly, but time didn't seem to be on his side as before he knew it, he was in a room with some Archbishop chick whom he didn't know a thing about. His entire body was still aching to add to the frustration.

Eleven was leaning against the wall, his sword by his side, but not his shield. He looked over to Rhea who seemed to be… standing there like a statue. She was facing away from him, seeming lost in her thoughts all alone. While she wasn't groaning with increasing discomfort, something about her just seemed off.

Probably nothing important…

"Eleven." Rhea suddenly said in a strange tone. "I think I've figured it out."

Huh?

"Don't worry Eleven, it's me." Rhea said as of that helped at all. "Well, it's not Rhea anyways."

HUH?

"It's me, Aspect." Rhea(?) replied.

Oh.

"The point is, I've figured out what you need to do," Aspect said. "Come closer." Eleven walked closer to… well it was hard to say, as it was still the body of Rhea, but supposedly with the mind of… Aspect. "Now, I assume you have many questions, and let me just say, they're irrelevant."

Huh- no wait, that one made sense.

"You are classified as somebody from… Dragon Quest, yes?" Eleven nodded, confirming his Smash Brothers categorization. "Well, after hours and hours of research-"

It's been five minutes.

"…" Aspect paused. "After five minutes of research, I've concluded that the Quest part of the name may be important." Eleven was intrigued, and listened in. "While your associate may be powerful physically, I believe you can do better socially."

Go on.

"Considering that I imagine you've done many quests, and to an extension side quests, you'd do fine with completing things for others, yes?"

Yes…

"Good, because I'm sure you'll gather many useful items on your quest, correct?"

Correct…?

"Wonderful, because at this point…" They turned around, and Eleven jumped back as he saw Rhea's face. Instead of her strangely gentle eyes, it was simply light. Like a blindingly bright flashlight was shining through both of her eyes, along with a quaint little smile. "You need all the help you can get."

Aspect turned back around, and Eleven was left looking to his side, half expecting something to pop out from behind him. His composure eventually began to loosen, and soon he returned to a normal stance.

"Now, after you finish your battle here, I shall explain more," Aspect finished, "Until then, unfortunately you must rest."

Eleven turned towards the doors leading to the bridge which led to the cathedral.

"Sit down Eleven," Aspect said, "You wouldn't want to get yourself hurt."

"I know you want to fight, and I wish the same for you." Aspect continued. "But if you go out there you will die."

How do you know?

"Remember that strange feeling of Deja Vu you had previously?" they questioned, sounding rather condescending. "If you go out there, that will likely continue to happen, leading to your untimely demise."

Eleven went back over to the wall and sat back down, the closing of the room closing in.

"I know you may find it irritable at first, Eleven." Aspect suddenly added. "But as it stands, the best thing that you can currently do is wait for the next round."

Next round?

"Only then, will you strike back." Aspect replied. "Now get some rest."

{=}

{Mechanical Rhythm – Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition}

Shulk backed up as the Death Egg Robot began to stomp closer, and couldn't help but notice he was almost being backed into a wall. It was the same wall Eleven crashed into, and there didn't seem to be many places to go from here. Heading right would only lead to another wall, and maybe a massive gauntlet to the face if he was unlucky.

Sure, there was that room to his side where he could escape to, but that would just cause more problems that it would help. The robot stopped stomping forward, and it didn't seem to be attacking for the moment.

Shulk's Monado Arts had all recharged, so that option was deep ingrained in his mind.

"Looks like we need to make an escape." Sonic said sounding worried, "Well, unless you have any Rings, then you're good."

"I don't collect jewelry." Shulk replied.

"Now, give up or else I'll skewer you so bad, this story will get an M rating!" Eggman threatened. "I'll give you five seconds…"

Shulk's mind began to race with ways to get out of this.

"Five…"

He could use Jump, but that would require him to activate it in the first-

"Four…"

-place, and that might take too long. Speed was probably the best option, especially combined with the-

"Three…"

-enhanced speed thanks to Sonic. Speed was the best option, but since the arms would be coming at-

"Two…"

-him, maybe Jump would?

"One!" Eggman finished.

"Jump!" Shulk called out as both of the Death Egg Robot's arm came soaring at him simultaneously. Jump seemed to be the right answer as the robot's hand collided into the wall, a puff of dust and broken stone flying out. Shulk landed on the right-hands Gauntlet slightly off balance, but quickly corrected himself.

"Smash! Shulk called out, quickly switching his Arts. Feeling Tension suddenly swell up within him, Shulk ran forward, the Monado held by his side and held his sword up to slam it into the robot's ugly mug.

"GRAHHHHHHH-" Shulk screamed as he was practically a few feet away.

Then he tripped.

It wasn't on his volition obviously, rather the robot suddenly jerked forward, throwing Shulk off. Shulk landed on his back, and quickly got up as the face of the robot spun towards it's backside.

"You're back?!" Eggman yelled as Shulk picked himself back up, "Who are all of these idiots with you?"

"You're one to talk…" a voice that sounded rather similar to Seteth's said. Shulk held his sword up and continued the run up the arm, stopping near the edge where the hand and body connected.

"Wow, that's a lot of damage." Flayn's voice said. "How will the workers repair it?"

"We'll touch on that later Flayn," Seteth replied. Shulk held the Monado behind him to charge up a big hit like he was at a strength test in a carnival. Shulk looked down, and saw Seteth and a couple others looking at him like he had just vented in a crowded room. "What are you doing up there?" Seteth asked.

"Well, I'm piloting a robot obviously, what else would I be doing?" Eggman chided.

"You should be doing…" Sonic paused. "You should uh… you…just hit him Shulk." Sonic finished

Shulk nodded and slammed the Monado into the Death Egg Robot's head and like before a gaggle of nuts, bolts, and various other things that ruined Banjo and Kazooie came flying out.

"No, you've damaged my heat sensors!" Eggman announced. "That's no fair, you're cheating!"

The robot's arms retracted back to a neutral position. The robot then spun, and flung Shulk towards the Cathedral's entrance, where he landed on his back. He looked up to see Seteth, Flayn, Min Min, and the purple haired girl.

"Oh, hey," Shulk said getting back up. "Is Eleven alright?"

"Hopefully…" Min Min said quietly, her arms uncoiling into two Dragons.

"Your friend is safe." Seteth replied holding a lance. "Can't say the same about the cathedral though…" he muttered, surveying the damage. "By the way, is it just me or is your chest area glowing a rainbow color?"

"Uh, it's just a quirk of paying your car insurance." Shulk lied, trying to brush away the situation like it was a bad hair day. "Though if I were currently rainbow, I probably wouldn't talk, y'know?" he subtlety suggested.

"No, I don't know." Seteth replied raising an eyebrow.

"Excuse me…" the purple haired girl interrupted quietly. "I don't think archery will be of much use here…" the purple haired girl said as she gawked at the Daath Egg Robot, a silver boat clasped firmly in her hands. "I should probably go…"

"Bernadetta, leave and I'm telling your father." Seteth replied.

"I'll stay!" Bernadetta suddenly yelled.

"There's no backing out now," Seteth said, said pointing his lance towards the robot. "Now, make your move Egg Man!"

"It's Eggman!" Egg Man, I mean Eggman yelled back in frustration. "UGH, I've had enough of these battle interruptions!" Eggman said as the arms of the robot pointed up. "It's time to end this garbage!"

From the back of the robot, two spirits appeared before quickly getting sucked into each arm. The gauntlet retracted into a cube and into the robot, and the hand similarly retracted. Then, from the right hand, up came a massive stick with metal wrapped around it.

"Huh?" Flayn asked.

Then the metal unwrapped from the stick, and it came to a stop in the shape of a very sharp axe.

"Spirit Equipped: Edelgard." The robotic voice from before said.

"Edelgard?" Bernadetta asked looking around frantically. "Is she here?"

"I don't think so." Shulk responded. "Well, she's here in spirit at least."

Then from the left arm, a sword came out, but unlike the sword it first pulled out, this one seemed to be somehow charged with electricity.

"Spirit Equipped: Catherine," The robotic voice said yet again. "You're really taking your time with this battle, eh?"

"Quit talking back, we're in this together." Eggman replied to the robot.

"Why is this machine naming staff members?" Seteth asked.

"It probably reads alot about Garreg Mach." Shulk replied. "Just don't worry about it."

"Now…" Eggman started as a target reticle appeared above everyone in the room. "Prepare to die, for REAL this time!"

{Fodlan Winds – Fire Emblem: Three Houses}

"Bernadetta, Flayn, stay back and provide fire from a distance," Seteth yelled, motioning for them to stop aside. "Shulk, Shulk's female friend, make an attempt to follow my lead, understood?"

"Got it." Shulk replied.

"Yes." Min Min added.

"Wonderful." Seteth replied. "Now, advance with caution!" the three advanced as five capsules flew out the back of the robot. Seteth paused in his tracks and readied his lance, swinging it overhead as it got close, knocking the capsule heading towards him out of the sky.

Shulk and Min Min made an effort to destroy theirs, and Seteth turned back to Flayn who had pulled out a lance as well.

"Remember to swing with your hips!" Seteth reminded Flayn as she swung the lance at the capsule, hitting both hers and Bernadetta's simultaneously.

"Do not worry brother, I will be fine!" Flayn yelled back, putting the lance to her side. Seteth nodded and turned back towards the Death Egg Robot.

"Continue your advance." Seteth said, his gaze not faltering from the target. The three went forward, and the Death Egg Robot held its right arm upwards, and slammed it into the ground, making a shockwave that traveled towards the three.

"Quick, jump!" Shulk called out as the three immediately jumped, though Seteth didn't seem to jump that high in comparison. As they landed, an arrow whizzed over their heads and clanked against the metal before falling to the ground.

"I'm not done yet!" Eggman yelled. "Take this!" the axe slammed into the ground, creating another shockwave. "Andthis!" he slammed the sword into the ground, creating a similar one, though coming in at a slightly different position. "Andthisandthisandthisandthisandthis!" he yelled in a carttoonish fashion, sending shockwaves out in a wide arc.

"What do we do?" Shulk asked.

"Keep your wits about you and dodge." Seteth replied as he made his way to the side of the walkway.

Shulk kept the advice in mind and did multiple jumps over shockwaves heading towards him, each coming at them within within an arc of 155, destroying the stands and chairs, creating slight chars in the floors where they skidded about.

"Andthisandthisand- OW my finger hurts!" Eggman said as the robot suddenly stopped slamming its weapons down, and the shockwaves followed suit. "Curse these stubby fingers!"

"Quick, let's attack him while he's down!" Shulk said, taking a step forward.

"Halt!" Seteth replied. "Attacking an enemy without restraint isn't a great idea." He explained. "We need to find this machines weak point, and judging by it's position, I assume it to be on the back."

"How'd you know?" Shulk asked.

"Thank you for confirming my suspicions." Seteth replied. "Now that that's settled, go!"

"Go, go where?" Shulk asked.

"Just follow me." Min Min said as walked across the row towards Shulk and grabbed his arm with her ARMS, the right dragon arm to be specific.

"Alright, time to get back in the game!" Eggman said as the robot lofted up its left arm. Shulk and Min Min made their way to the Death Egg Robots right, hoping not to get seen. They made their way even farther, but suddenly the face of the robot jittered, turning to their location.

"Ah…" Shulk didn't know what to say as he and Min Min paused. "Run for it!" he yelled as he immediately sprinted ahead of Min Min, leaving her confused momentarily before she ran after him.

"Oh, no you don't!" Eggman said as he swung the right arm in a sweeping motion, and Shulk and Min Min jumped over it, jumping over as it swung back as well. "Get back here!" Eggman said, as Shulk and Min Min made their way behind him.

The robot immediately went to face them, its entire body shuffling to catch up, "Nice try, but I'm not stupid enough to let you sneak around and hit me from behind!" Eggman yelled, his ego probably bigger than the sales deficit of Sonic Forces. "Now, get a load of-"

"Tempest Lance!" Seteth suddenly called out as the sound of metal clanking on metal was heard.

"Critical hit detected." A robotic voice said blankly. "Are you stupid, or did you not see the obvious coming?"

"Critical hit?!" Eggman called out. "What do you mean critical hit?" the Death Egg jumped forward, over Shulk and Min Min.

"Critical Damage to the Spirit Core." The robotic voice clarified. "Want me to fix the damage or are you just going to waste my time?"

"YES!" Eggman replied, a hint of urgency in his voice. "And what's with all this sarcasm all of a sudden?"

From the ceiling, the robot from before, the one that was holding up Eleven's Shield, came down. It hovered above the Death Egg Robot.

"Leakage confirmed in Spirit Core." The robotic voice said as the robot holding the shield disappeared behind the robot. A moment later the voice spoke again, "Calculating… one Spirit Signal found."

"Spirit Signal?" Shulk pondered. "What could that mean?"

"If I may interject," Seteth said, running up behind him. "I managed to puncture a hole in the back of the robots, Spirit Core, via a Combat Art."

"A what?" Shulk asked.

"The point being, judging by how the fellow reacted, I assume if we were to detach it from the machine, things would go far more smoothly." Seteth responded.

"Alright, so how do we do that?" Shulk asked, his eyes darting from Eggman to Seteth.

"Well…" Seteth paused and looked towards the Death Egg that was still being repaired . "If we were to somehow knock it over, that could provide ample opportunity to separate it."

"I think I know how to do that," Shulk replied. "Just hope we can pull it off."

"I have faith that the goddess will protect us," Seteth turned to Shulk. "Just don't do anything idiotic."

"Right." Shulk replied. "Let's do this."

"Repair complete, continue as normal." The robotic voice said. "Or whatever your definition of normal is."

"Finally!" Eggman yelled ignoring the insult. "Now, as I've made it perfectly clear, you should be dead by now!" he said. "But since you aren't, it appears I have a shift into…"

The Death Egg Robot held its arms up and jumped, a pulse of red energy sending a shockwave through the cathedral. The Death Egg did a pose and its feet shifted slightly, each one forming what appeared to be the shape of jet boosters. Flames suddenly shot out of the boosters, and the robot effortlessly hovered midair.

SPIRITUALLY IMPROVED DEATH EGG ROBOT Mk. 2 (S.P.I.D.E.R Mk2)

The totally legit final form! (For real this time) [No promises] {Possibly}

"MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE!" Eggman yelled as Steam spurted out of the robot in a menacing fashion.

"There goes that plan." Seteth sighed.

"They fly now?" Bernadetta asked from afar.

"They fly now!" Shulk replied.

"Yes, now I can fly permanently!" Eggman announced. "Now it's time for you to…eh, I've said this three times now, I'm sure you get the gist."

"Time for us to die?" Shulk asked.

"Precisely!" Eggman replied. "Now, take this!" Eggman yelled as capsules came out of the robots back, orbiting around the robot in a ring like formation. "Engage random target mode."
