Natsumi awoke from her peaceful slumber to find her arms tightly wrapped around the keronian nuzzled next to her sleeping soundly. The scene would be cute if it wasn't so awkward. She gently unwrapped herself standing up, blushing in embarrassment she can't believe she did that. Poor Giroro was probably trapped in her arms the whole night. She left the room before he had a chance to wake up.

She doesn't know what's wrong with her, but it feels like she's under a spell as the small Keronian invaded her dreams more effectively then he invader her planet. Sweet memories played on loop. Her thoughts keep darting back to what Saburo had said to her, she trusted Giroro with her life but love seems like an impossible conclusion. Even if it was it was the source of her heart ache, it's foolish to think he loved her back. After all "Your a pekoponian and i'm a Keronian" Giroro's words played in her mind over and over.

She feels so guilty as the red one was giving it all up for her and her planet. And no matter how many times he reassured her, she felt this nagging Suspicion that he was keeping something from her. She'll just have to show him that it won't be that bad, she'll be the best pretend wife she could for him. After all that's all it was, a fake wedding for a treaty.

She felt like she needed to something special for him to help him feel better cause she has this feeling he's hurting inside. She looks out the window at her planet a spec in the distance, getting further and further away. And she couldn't help but feel in their shoes to be away from their own planet, their home.

"You look lost in thought Lady Natsumi" Dororo said looking out at the window. "Feeling homesick? I know it can be hard to leave your planet for the first time"

"A bit, I was also just thinking about how I want to do something nice for Giroro, I feel like he's done so much for me, and I feel guilty for not doing enough for him" she admitted.

"A noble goal indeed, though I don't think Giroro would like you to think you owe him. As for something nice, just spend time with him you underestimate how much your presence can help someone." he replied knowingly, he was always a friendly one even if he was a total push over.

"You really think so? I don't want to bother him" he always seemed busy compared to the others, not slacking as often as the others.

"Trust me, he'll love your company" Dororo enthused "now if you'll excuse me,I have to meet up with Koyuki for tea" and with that he vanished.

Giroro walked out of the room stretching "Morning Natsumi" he greeted with a yawn. He was a bit mad at himself for sleeping in but he he just couldn't push himself to wake up early.

"Morning" she said nervously as she remembered how she woke up with him in her arms. "Sorry about this morning, I didn't mean to grab you in my sleep" it was an embarrassing display of weakness on her end.

"It's fine don't worry about it, nothing I don't get from the cat anyway" he said embarrassed he couldn't admit that he liked it.

"Aww does she sleep next to you? Lucky she's so cute, it's a shame she doesn't like me much" she said sadly, she always wanted a pet but her mother hated animals.

"Yeah I don't know what it is, but she seems to like my company" he laughed. She was an odd cat indeed.

"Would you like to come with me to get breakfast?" she asked, this was a perfect chance to spend time together like the blue one suggested.

"Sure" he replied as they walked down to the eating area it was a somewhat large cafeteria like room with a long table with many seats.

"Why if it isn't the snuggle bugs kukuku" the yellow one sneered he was sitting down a few seats from them.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Giroro asked bitterly.

"Giroro and Natsumi sitting in a tree~" Keroro teased with a familiar mocking jingle.

"K-I-SS-I-N-G~" Tamama joined in.

"Shut up" Giroro said aggressively. "I don't know where you got that idea" he assured but deep down he was terrify of what they knew or saw.

"Kururu gave us the picture, Lady Natsumi squeezed you like a stuff animal gerogerogeroi" his Sargent laughed in glee.

"What picture?" Natsumi asked worriedly.

"Feast your eyes" Keroro slammed down the photograph of the pink haired girl cuddling the red keronian tightly, soundly in her sleep.

"H-how?!" Giroro asked surprised, how'd they take such a picture without him knowing.

"Come on old man you've known me for how many years, I have eyes everywhere kukukuku" Kururu teased.

"Look i'm sorry, I didn't mean too" Natsumi said looking away from them, to avoid their stares. "I didn't think i'd grab you in my sleep"

"Don't worry about it, they are only doing it to tease me" Giroro deadpanned.

"Damn right we are, but if you want this picture to vanish lady Natsumi, i'll trade you, 2 months of my chores" Keroro suggested slyly.

"I'll give you 3 months" Giroro piped in, he had to have that photo.

"Natsumi your bid?" Keroro asked hoping to milk this for all it's worth.

"your really going to blackmail me over a photograph? Also I have no objections if Giroro wants to trade for it, his reputation is probably more important then mine." hoping Keroro wouldn't call her bluff.

"Gerogerogeroi your right I should raise the stakes. 1 year!" he slammed on the table to show he means business.

"5 months" Giroro fought back.

"6, final offer!" Keroro exclaimed.

"Deal!" he handed him the picture, while the red hands grabbed it greedily, he was secretly overjoyed to add it to his photo collection but the other didn't need to know that.

"Why were you spying on our room?" She asked aggressively.

"Do you really want to know kukukukuku" Kururu teased.

"Just don't do it again" she said aggressively.

"no promises, though I will admit it was kind of boring last night"

"I'll check the room for bugs when we get back" Giroro stated "Now let's see what's for breakfast" he looked in the cabinet full of nothing but Type G combat rations. He looked slightly disappointed he had been spoiled by pekoponian food. He reached and grabbed a few containers. "Looks like we're having type G" he said bitterly putting them on the table.

"Those things I see you eat sometimes?" she said looking at it sceptically.

"Yeah, they are standard issue military rations"

"They are pretty bland and almost tasteless, but what you can taste isn't very good" Kururu piped in "I still have my curry rations, if you want another one old man, kukuku" he held the bottle of pink pills that make Giroro's spine shiver, he wasn't going to eat those again.

"I'd rather stick it out with the type G" he grabbed one, ripping it open to distract himself of the uneasiness those pills made him feel.

"Butt firecracker!" A blue haired women shouted causing the keronians to jump in an instance and shiver in fright.

"Sorry I couldn't help it" the woman replied cheekily "Oh yum Type G!" she said down "Hope you don't mind sharing"

"H-help yourself" he responded embarrassed at how much that phrase still terrified him, he doesn't think they will ever get over the horror of Pekopons secret weapon he had seen on video.

"I don't believe we've met?" Natsumi asked realising this was a new person.

"I don't think we have, I'm Kiko Katoyama, former Sargent of the keroro platoon and mech designer" she greeted "You must be Natsumi" she said with a smile.

"You were apart of the stupid frog's platoon?" she asked confused.

"She's a Pekoponian who ended up on Keron, and began working for the military" Giroro filled in.

"So your human and you were going to help take over Earth?" she asked dumbfounded.

"Yeah but I left when I got to Earth and now that there's a treaty it looks like it's all going to be fine now, I can't wait to see Nobibi again!" she beamed. She started munching on the type Gs "You've got to try them Natsumi, I swear they taste amazing and Keronians just don't know what they are missing"

the pink haired girl hesitantly bit into it, it tasted like a chaotic mix of various things "Oh wow that does taste interesting" she ate another to try and pin down the exact taste.

"It's a blend of all the essential vitamins a Keroian needs in a convenient and light package to make travelling and managing starvation easier" Kururu explained.

"You get used to the taste after awhile but for some reason Pekoponians seem to like the taste, it's strange" Giroro stated. "I feel like I've been spoiled by Pekopon food"

"That's funny cause I miss eating these" Kiko enthused "Oh yeah, I should probably congratulate you on like the wedding, I'm very surprised by you Corporal mister "people who fall in love with the enemy are weak" she joked.

there was a long awkward pause as either side wondered when the other was going to clarify, there was no love in this relationship. Both sides just quietly looked away shyly waiting for the other to say what they were both thinking.

But before either could comment on the lack of response, Keroro's complaining stole the attention "Aww is this all there is?" he complained "foul tasting type Gs"

"Your a solider, you should be used to it" Giroro grunted.

"used to it doesn't mean I have to like it, oh how about we order space take out?" he suggested.

"You can put up with them for a little bit" Giroro deadpanned.

"Besides we don't have the funds kukukuku" Kururu reminded, truly their leader had horrible money management.

"Please Kururu, anything but the type Gs, don't you have a gun or something that can create better food?" he pleaded.

"only thing I have is my curry rations kukuku" he held them out "100 yen a pill"

"As pathetic as always" Giroro grumbled, it was no wonder they never successfully invaded Pekopon.

"I've missed your bickering" Kiko mused. "It's good to see you all again" she said with a smile.

The arrive of the new face made Natsumi realise how much her knowledge she was lacking of a time before the frogs came to Earth. And for once she felt eager to learn.
