(Chapter 10: Two versus one! The final battle!)
Godzilla marched on the beach, glaring down his opposition that consisted of a large mechanical doppelganger of himself, and an aquatic titan that was once deemed to be a mere hoax. The King of the Monsters wasn't in perfect condition as a large scab was seen on his chest from where his scar had been blown to pieces from his previous battle against the two in Stockton, California.
Godzilla remembered his battle against the alien MechaGodzilla from the previous year, it took a combined effort of Kong, King Caesar, and Godzilla himself to take the extraterrestrial machine down, resulting in the death of King Caesar. It is were Godzilla received that massive wound on his chest that had formed the scar, and Kong had to receive a bolt of lightning to supercharge himself. All three heroic monsters did not leave the battle unharmed, the king of the titans went into this battle, taking it very seriously.
Godzilla stomped one foot forward, letting out a omighty roar before he began to charge at his enemies. MechaGodzilla marched towards him slowly, controlled by Floyd Sanders within the cockpit, while Titanosaurus rushed in at Godzilla.
Titanosaurus struck first as Godzilla took a swipe at him with his claws, ducking under the arm to smash his muscular upper body into the titan king's torso, the attack pushed Godzilla back some. The aquatic titan continued to shove himself into the King of the Monsters, trying to drive him back towards the ocean, but Godzilla then latched onto his neck with his powerful jaws.
Titanosaurus, in an attempt to escape, began to push on Godzilla's stomach, even slashing into it with his claws. This would make the King of the Monsters release his enemy, only to spin around, his large tail smashing into Titanosaurus, knocking him down momentarily.
"Alright Godzilla, let's see if your name fits you!" Floyd shouted, breaking out into maniacal laughter as he activated the railguns mounted on the gauntlets of the GDF's MechaGodzilla. Large red streaks of light flew towards Godzilla at rapid fire, but the King of the Monsters wouldn't back down from this, he charged at his mechanical enemy while letting out a furious roar.
Godzilla rammed himself into MechaGodzilla, a massive bang echoed across the island as the King of the Monsters began to unleash his wrath upon his mechanical counterpart that was slightly taller than him, but slimmer. MechaGodzilla fought back, using it's steel claws to slash into Godzilla as well. The two giants traded blows with each other, shot after shot was landed, until MechaGodzilla spun around to smash the large mechanical tail into Godzilla's back, making him stumble forwards.
There was a loud hum of radiation that quickly intensified, Titanosaurus had gotten back up, and was now rushing at Godzilla. The King of the Monsters happened to hear this, and he turned around to fire his atomic ray into his aquatic enemy, successfully knocking him back down for a moment yet again. So far, the king of all titans was doing a good job at keeping his enemies separated. Godzilla prioritized taking out his steel counterpart first before Titanosaurus, and he would have to keep both of them separated in order to have some sort of advantage.
Godzilla turned around to face MechaGodzilla yet again, and a stare down commenced for a brief amount of time. Within the cockpit of the steel giant, Floyd laughed wickedly as the King of the Monsters stared down his mechanical counterpart.
"Yes, show me what you got!" Floyd laughed, Godzilla slashed MechaGodzilla as hard as he could, the machine seemed to spark from where it was hit, but MechaGodzilla stood completely still, as if no damage was done. The titan king growled in annoyance, and then slashed his robotic enemy once more, but the same thing happened, MechaGodzilla sparked again from where the claws struck, but it stood still like a statue.
Godzilla slashed MechaGodzilla two more times, but then the steel goliath had enough, and then slashed the King of the Monsters across the face, blood splattered from where the steel claws did damage. Godzilla growled in slight pain, but it was taken over by rage fairly quickly, headbutting MechaGodzilla in the mid-section before slashing the steel beast in the head, spinning around to smack it with his tail. The tail did MechaGodzilla some damage at last, succesfully knocking the machine back a couple steps!
MechaGodzilla was stuck against the mountain in which Christian's Cave was situated in, Floyd became uncomfortable being in this position, realizing that his equipment was within one of those caves. As Godzilla continued to slash into his steel counterpart, Titanosaurus came from behind him again, ramming himself into Godzilla's back, accidentally dealing himself some damage thanks to his sharp dorsal plates, but the aquatic titan seemed to ignore it.
Godzilla roared ferociously before turning around to clamp his jaws around Titanosaurus' neck, charging forward to bring him down. Godzilla stood back up, turning around to face MechaGodzilla only to get rammed hard, getting sent flying a decent distance before crashing into the ground with an explosive boom.
Back on the highest point of the island, Kenny stood patiently, waiting for Laura and Madison to arrive with the osprey. There was a distant sound of thunder, the soldier turned around to see the massive thunderhead preparing to engulf the island, he could see some lightning bolts striking within the clouds as the rain slowly but surely began to pick up.
"Dammit, can't those girls get here any faster?" He asked himself, retreating to the small shack over close to him. Dialing up Laura so he could speak to her, amidst the thunder and rain, as well as the wind in which was howling, he could hear the sounds of the three massive beings fighting on the island.
"Laura, where the hell are you and Madison at? It's starting to rain!" Kenny said loudly into the phone out of annoyance.
"We're getting there as quick as we can..." Laura groaned.
"Well you better hurry, it seems like the night is coming quicker than we thought." Kenny warned, Laura looked out of the windows to see the massive cumulonimbus clouds slowly forming around the island, gradually covering up the sun as they moved in closer.
"You're right, well just try and hold on, alright honey?" Laura suggested, Kenny chuckled at this.
"Yeah, I'll try and not get myself wet."
Back at the battle, MechaGodzilla had pinned the King of the Monsters into the ground on a nearby hill, his mechanical hand smothering Godzilla's gills, strangling him as he tried to get into a standing position.
"You're a good fighter, Godzilla. The thing is though, YOU DON'T COME CLOSE TO A GOD!" Floyd screamed, controlling MechaGodzilla to headbutt Godzilla as hard as the machine could muster itself to do. Godzilla roared in pain, but his roars were quickly cut off when the mechanical claws of MechaGodzilla dug into his massive neck yet again. The machine hurled Godzilla over into the mountain in which housed Christian's Cave, along with several other tunnels and cave systems.
Floyd no longer cared what happened to his equipment, if he could kill Godzilla, then he wouldn't have too many issues. The mountain shook when Godzilla's large body slammed into it, creating a large cloud of dust and a massive explosive boom filled the air. Godzilla groaned in pain as MechaGodzilla marched over at him again, the King of the Monsters was then hoisted up, and dropped over the top of the small mountain, a loud shriek of pain came from Godzilla as he rolled down the side.
So far, MechaGodzilla was obliterating the King of the Monsters with ease, Floyd questioned if he was doing this on purpose in order to lure the machine into a false sense of security or Floyd himself into a false sense of security.
"You fought well Godzilla, however, now is the time I give you a proper burial..." Floyd growled, MechaGodzilla aimed his gauntlets out towards the small mountain, rockets fired from his back as the railguns began to fire. Within seconds dust engulfed Godzilla, and most of the beach.
When the smoke cleared, a large pile of rocks, boulders, and dirt was on the back of Godzilla. The King of the Monsters was buried, all with the exception of his head and tail. The king of all beasts had the far away glare in his eyes, his body was wracked with pain, his heart had been broken at the fact that the same mechanical nightmare had slain King Caesar (he thought the GDF MechaGodzilla was the same one made by the aliens.)
Titanosaurus had gotten back to his feet, and now both of Godzilla's foes were standing while he was down for now. Godzilla's emotional thoughts took over his mind, he couldn't imagine a world without him, without his allies, he had to defeat MechaGodzilla someway, for good.
Rage filled Godzilla's massive heart, and with a deafening roar of pure rage, he unleashed an atomic pulse that sent all of the rubble in which had pinned him down, flying in separate directions. The blast itself had pushed MechaGodzilla back, as well as Titanosaurus.
Within the massive cloud of dust, stood Godzilla. His teeth were bared, his eyes filled with fury. The King of the Monsters was over with the games, it was time to fight back. With a roar, Godzilla rushed towards MechaGodzilla, but his mechanical doppelganger side stepped, but Godzilla continued to charge at Titanosaurus with his dorsal plates rapidly glowing blue all the way to the top with the hum of radiation thundering throughout the area.
Titanosaurus used his upper body as a battering ram again, it shoved Godzilla back, but it didn't seem to phase the king all that much. The King of the Monsters opened up his jaws, the aquatic titan could see the teal glow in the back of Godzilla's throat, knowing what would come next, Titanosaurus clamped his jaws around Godzilla's upper jaw, suddenly stopping the atomic ray from coming out.
Godzilla growled furiously, clawing into Titanosaurus, but the aquatic titan did not let go, instead he began to thrash around viciously. Trying to tear the upper jaw from Godzilla, slinging him around like a ragdoll. The aquatic beast even fell down to the ground, attempting to do some sort of death roll to Godzilla like an alligator, aiming to twist and break the bones of Godzilla's entire upper jaw.
Godzilla continued to claw at Titanosaurus, now seeming to be desperate to escape as he began to emit pained cries from within his mouth, but they were muffled. Titanosaurus pulled Godzilla back up to his feet forcefully, his jaws still in his iron grip, and then the aquatic titan began to jerk his head back and forth, like a T-Rex trying to tear apart prey.
Godzilla could feel intense pain in his jaw, feeling the flesh tear off of it, exposing the massive muscles beneath. He knew Titanosaurus would not let go until the jaw was severed, so the King of the Monsters utilized his atomic pulse once again to get his enemy off of him.
Godzilla groaned as he clambered back to his feet, Titanosaurus had doubled over in pain, on the ground from the burns that were inflicted by the atomic pulse at point blank. Even though Titanosaurus had been put down for now, MechaGodzilla was still standing. Godzilla's eyes widened when his mechanical foe smashed into him at an incredible speed, knocking him off of his feet.
"You and your second winds are starting to annoy me, they cannot save you now!" Floyd screamed, angered deeply at how Godzilla was able to defeat his opponents against all the odds against him.
Floyd activated the maser cannons within the mouth of MechaGodzilla, a smirk spread across his lips as the King of the Monsters slowly got back to his feet yet again. Godzilla charged up his atomic ray, and it was then that Floyd came up with an idea...
The maser beams fired forth from MechaGodzilla's open maw, and a massive blue ray shot from Godzilla's jaws. The two energy beams rushing at each other, and when they connected, there was a massive shockwave that kicked up loads of dirt into the air. Once the dust cleared, it was revealed that MechaGodzilla and Godzilla had gotten into a beam struggle now.
Floyd himself could feel the massive pressure the struggle was causing to the machine, the entire cockpit was rattling, a droning buzz echoed within the machine. The person controlling MechaGodzilla could only laugh at this in delight.
"So this is what it feels like to be in one of these skirmishes, well then...Say goodbye!" Floyd laughed, turning up the power of the maser cannon. He could see his beam starting to overpower Godzilla's.
Godzilla growled in determination, his jagged dorsal plates flashed blue, and his beam got bigger, more power being put into it. This would draw the beam struggle back into a standstill, angering the arrogant Floyd within the cockpit.
"You bastard! You cannot overpower a machine, YOU'RE GONNA DIE!" Floyd roared, his voice going into a distorted, deep tone.
The power of the beam was set to full power, and it burst towards Godzilla. The King of the Monsters stomped his dominant foot forwards, and his spines flashed blue yet again. Large blue circles formed around his thick blue beam, it slowly brought the beam struggle to a standstill again, but Godzilla found it hard to hold off MechaGodzilla's maser beam.
"Dammit, you shouldn't be this strong. You're not going to win this, this ends now!" Floyd screamed, turning on MechaGodzilla's eye lights.
Godzilla began to march forward, finally starting to overpower MechaGodzilla...Until there was a blinding flash that totally engulfed his vision. His beam weakened in an instant, and the maser beam rushed right into Godzilla's face, the beam struggle was over, MechaGodzilla had bested the King of the Monsters.
Godzilla didn't fall though, he was rocked, and was on spaghetti legs, but still standing nonetheless. MechaGodzilla wouldn't give him a second to breathe, as the machine slammed into the titan king once more, sending him flying where that mountain once stood, now just a large hill.
The light of the evening began to fade now, as the dark clouds of the biblical thunderstorm had engulfed the entire island. Torrential rainfall like never before pounded the land, gigantic waves slammed on the beach. Lightning struck down from the sky, landing on the island at a few locations. Deafening thunderclaps roared in the sky, and since it was officially night time now, it seemed even darker than a regular thunderstorm at sunset.
Godzilla was rather slow to get up, he was taking quite a beating from his mechanical enemy just like before. That was until he felt an insane surge of agony within his side, MechaGodzilla was there, and his claws had collapsed in to form what seemed to be a drill. Godzilla could feel his tough hide, skin, and even the muscles beneath the skin, ripping, twisting and tearing. Blood splattered everywhere as Godzilla shrieked in agony, Floyd only laughed at the king's pain.
"You aren't so much of a king of the monsters, are you now!?" Floyd asked aloud as he continued to control the drill hand of MechaGodzilla, all the way until the drill touched something hard...The drill had reached the ribcage of Godzilla...
MechaGodzilla retracted his arm from the deep hole in Godzilla's side, blood flowed freely out of the gaping hole. This deep wound had severely weakened Godzilla, the only thing that could grant him a surge in power was a nuclear bomb being dropped, but there was no such time. Something had to happen, some sort of miracle.
"You're not fit to be a king, you're more like a peasant, one that shouldn't deserve to live..." Floyd said coldly, MechaGodzilla fired a wire from his gauntlet, the massive cable wrapped around Godzilla's thick neck. Another wire shot out from the gauntlet, and continued to ensnare Godzilla to where MechaGodzilla could effectively lift him up.
Titanosaurus wailed loudly as MechaGodzilla began to carry Godzilla up into the sky, it was a wail of triumph. The King of the Monsters made pathetically weak attempts to break free, but he couldn't. Godzilla found himself in a scenario similar to that of when he was fighting Ghidorah in 2019, when he was dropped from the atmosphere.
Godzilla seen lightning crackling within the clouds as he and MechaGodzilla continued to ascend higher and higher, but then a stray bolt struck his jagged dorsal plates. They all instantly turned blue, his eyes had a blue glow, teal smoke begin to fizzle out from his gills. From within the cockpit, Floyd looked surprised.
"WHAT!?" Floyd screamed in terror as Godzilla unleashed an atomic beam right into the chest of MechaGodzilla at point blank range, the large cables that had been wrapped around his body, and neck, were burnt away. The two of them were at the edge of space now, at the exact height in which Ghidorah dropped him from, but with this lightning bolt supercharging him, pain was the last thing on his mind.
Godzilla roared in defiance as his massive body became a ball of fire, breaking through the black clouds of the severe thunderstorm. MechaGodzilla continued to hover in the same spot as Floyd watched Godzilla fall from the Heavens, even though he was shocked, a smirk came to his lips once more, there was no way Godzilla could survive this fall, but he clearly didn't see the battle that took place between Monster Zero and the King of the Monsters in 2019...
Back on the ground, Laura was ushering Kenny to hurry up to get inside of the osprey, the latch was open, but then they paused when a loud hum filled the air, a bright orange glow was seen from above.
"Is that a meteor?" Kenny asked, Madison instantly knew what it was, she shook her head in disbelief.
"No...it's Godzi-" *BOOM!*
Godzilla slammed into the ground, and a shockwave of epic proportions was sent off immediately on impact. It sent Titanosaurus flying back a great distance, a staggering amount of dust was flung in the air, the osprey was knocked towards the cliff, it was moving at such a speed that it would go flying over it. Laura grabbed hold of Madison, jumping from the open latch, one soldier followed by the name of Jacob, they looked in shock as the osprey plummeted off the cliff, smashing into the rocks at the bottom of this fairly small cliff, but the fall was still big enough to kill.
Although the rocks saved the osprey from sinking into the raging waters, it was the waters that the soldiers, and the pilots had to worry about as they fled their aircraft. Waves smashed into them, slamming them against the rocks, sending some flying. One of them managed to grab hold of something on the rocks, but the waves knocked them off again.
"Hold on!" Laura screamed, trying to think of something to get them to safety.
"There's nothing we can use!" Madison exclaimed, her voice filled with worry.
"Dammit, where is Gamera when you need the fella!?" Kenny cursed, slamming his fist into a palm tree.
"Kenny, I love you, but this is no time to be joking around!" Laura yelled, Kenny playfully reacted to this by holding his hands up in surrender.
"Easy princess, I'm being serious. I'm being...Gah!" Kenny tried to explain himself to his girlfriend just to be kicked in the nuts, he collapsed to the ground, clutching his jewels while Laura and Madison continued to try and find a way to help their allies.
"First Maddie, now you?"
Back at the battlefield, MechaGodzilla came in for a landing. His landing breaking the large amounts of smoke and dust that lingered in the air, Titanosaurus came up to his side slowly, even the aquatic titan was hurt.
"Now, it is time that I bury this peasant of the monsters into the ground. No more second winds, no more chances!" Floyd screamed, controlling MechaGodzilla to march through the dust to where the radar said that Godzilla was located.
MechaGodzilla was brought to a stop when a blue flash was seen within the smoke...with a single flick of his tail, Godzilla whipped the dust away. It was revealed, standing in a large crater that was made on impact, the King of the Monsters was alive, still standing thanks to the lightning supercharging him as he was carried up, and the lightning striking him as he was on the way down as well.
"Are you...fucking kidding me?" Floyd asked himself, in disbelief at what he was seeing.
Godzilla roared defiantly, as if he was challenging his metallic clone. Floyd shook his head, having loads of pent up rage that he wanted to unleash upon the Earth defender, but he couldn't think of anyway to kill Godzilla. The only things he could use currently was the hyper maser cannon, which was located within the chest, and a last resort device that completely drained this MechaGodzilla of energy known as the oxygen annihilator, it was a green beam that was the same as Godzilla's green atomic beam, it was the most powerful beam in their arsenal. If the oxygen annihilator was used from the GDF MechaGodzilla, the only thing it could use in terms of combat was the eye beams, but they only blinded the enemy for a moment, not did any physical damage that was long lasting.
"You're making me so damn mad, I'll destroy this whole island if I have to!" Floyd screamed, activating the maser cannon within MechaGodzilla's mouth.
"If you want a round two, let's have a round two!" He continued, slamming his fist down on the button to unleash the maser beam towards the King of the Monsters
Floyd excitedly watched on, anticipating to see the damage he done, but something strange was happening.
From within the smoke, there was a bright blue glow, it was Godzilla's, but his whole body was glowing blue. This new form of Godzilla was known as "Ultra-charged" Godzilla. (This form is basically the burning Godzilla form from the end of Godzilla: KOTM 2019, but instead of being colored red/orange, he is colored a bright blue)
"Wait a minute, he's changed. What the world is this!?" Floyd screamed in confusion, firing the maser cannons from MechaGodzilla's mouth once more. The beams connected, but there was no damage dealt apparently, as Godzilla marched through the beams. Godzilla's saurian face morphed into something along the likes of a sinister grin.
"This is insanity!" Floyd screamed, guiding MechaGodzilla away from the re-energized titan king.
Floyd contemplated on how he could beat Godzilla in this state, there had to be someway it could be done.
MechaGodzilla unleashed a barrage of rockets from the back unit, and railgun fire from the gauntlets on the gigantic mechanical hands. Rocket after rocket slammed into Godzilla, smoke began to engulf the battlefield yet again.
"I am tired of this!" Floyd boomed, activating the maser cannons within MechaGodzilla's mouth to add on to the barrage of rockets and railgun fire. The beams connected again, but like before, they did no damage. Godzilla roared, but this wasn't a roar of pain, this was one of rage.
"How the hell are you alive!?" Floyd cried, his eyes looked all over the panel to see what attack he could use. He was starting to panic until he saw the hyper maser cannon button, he had no choice, this would drain the power of MechaGodzilla significantly, but he felt that there would be no other way.
Titanosaurus rushed in, wailing furiously as he tried to go for a quick chomp down on Godzilla's throat, but he received a brutal tail whip. A loud cracking noise filled the air, Titanosaurus was slammed into the ground at the sheer force of the strike.
The chest on MechaGodzilla opened to reveal a massive cannon that was built within the machine, the cannon slowly extended out from the chest cavity, and a loud hum of radiation began to pulse throughout the island.
Godzilla turned his attention to MechaGodzilla, and he began to charge up his own spiral ray, Lord knows how strong this one would be.
"This is your test, let's see how strong you are. Test your strength, Godzilla. I am going to save this planet from you, your kind shouldn't be allowed to exist!" Floyd screamed, setting the power to the hyper maser beam to maximum.
Godzilla's spines boomed, with each pulsating explosion, they began to crack more and more. Blue circles began to form around Godzilla's mouth, firing towards MechaGodzilla, but they would vanish. A teal glow began to form in the back of Godzilla's throat, the pulsating booms of his dorsal plates reached a maximum volume.
"I will plunge this world into an age of peace and prosperity, now PERISH!" Floyd roared, slamming his fist down on the button to fire the hyper maser cannon.
A bright yellow beam with small yellow tendrils wrapping around it launched forth from the cannon, barreling towards Godzilla. The King of the Monsters then unleashed his atomic ray as he seen the hyper maser beam rush towards him, the two beams collided.
The hyper maser ray wasn't far from Godzilla, had it traveled any further, the massive shockwave would have surely damaged Godzilla even in his current state. Thankfully, his atomic ray managed to push it back some, but very slowly.
Due to the hyper maser cannon being at full strength, it could not be powered up anymore. The power of Godzilla's atomic ray slowly pushed the beam away, creating a stalemate.
"I don't understand, what will bring you down!?" Floyd screamed furiously, but little did he know that Godzilla was struggling even in this great surge of power.
The great deal of power was putting stress on the King of the Monsters, the force began to shove him back. There couldn't be a way to end this beam struggle unless Godzilla pushed past this state of power he was currently in, he would have to have his burning form initiated, but if he did this, he would put his heart into override and he would essentially become a ticking time bomb, the only way he could enter his burning form without blowing up was with the aid of Mothra's cosmic dust.
Godzilla began to put more power from his dorsal plates into his beam, and then something strange began to happen, it seemed like three different beams began to circle around his blue one, a red one, and a light green one.
"WHAT THE FU-!" Floyd exclaimed, but then Godzilla's overpowering beam slammed into MechaGodzilla with a blinding explosion.
The smoke cleared over several minutes, with no action taking place since nobody could see what was going on. The entire island was engulfed in a gigantic dust cloud, but once the dust cloud had cleared up, it was revealed that MechaGodzilla had taken heavy damage, Titanosaurus and Godzilla were brawling with each other.
Floyd had been knocked out, but he was finally starting to stir, using the wall to slowly help himself back up to his feet. He discovered that one of the massive windows of the cockpit had been completely blown apart, but it wasn't just the large eye of MechaGodzilla that was damaged. There were several scorch marks on the gigantic machine, an entire arm had been severed, the tail had been blown to bits, pieces of his back unit were blown off, one of the eyes had been broken.
Floyd seen Godzilla and Titanosaurus wrestling around in the water close to the shore, massive amounts of salt water splashed upon the land as their gigantic bodies shifted around as they fought. Sparks shot to an fro within the cockpit, further enraging Floyd.
"This is it, I'm done with this. Everything, everyone, and this island will be exterminated..." He grumbled as he sluggishly slammed his fist down on the "Oxygen Annihilator" button, there was a large clicking noise coming from where the hyper maser cannon was located, the energy switched to the OA.
"Earth belongs to the humans, there is no place for monsters like you on this planet. To think people once worshipped you is absurd..." Floyd growled, piloting MechaGodzilla to slowly get back to his mechanical feet.
The weapon was ready, Floyd smirked as he aimed directly at Godzilla with the cannon. It was time to end things once and for all, and with one push of the button...
