Chapter Nine
"Why am I angry? One thing for sure you're been blind to everything ever since you have been obsessed with Hernandez and his regime Jethro. I am just sick and tired of being a second class citizen."
Trying to move up slightly with feeling no pain. He says the following..."What is that supposed to mean Loreile?"
"Man! I can't it Jethro with the bullshit. Yeah you're been hurt and it's your own fault for it to happen. Knowing very well what was going to happened to you if getting caught in the process."
"I don't understand? Unless you're trying to tell me something? Is it the fact you're actually going to leave with Shane and divorce me?" He had to reply with his heart rate zooming as with his blood pressure.
"Yes on two fronts and I know for a fact once that you're out of here. You're going to be going after Hernandez?" As she blurted it out now and she felt bad in doing so.
"What are you talking about? Hernandez and Riccio are dead." He cried out further.
"Boy! Are you blind. Intel had found that both of these men are alive and well and somewhere to be in Paraguay. How they found out was with the video feed of the transponder in your arm. McGee had figured it out with the marines and seals checking out the tunnel that was found for a quarter of a mile."
"I don't believe you, Loriele. As with leaving me as well after telling me that you loved me?" He replied with using the remote to raise his bed.
"I lied like everything else with this marriage the past year. I am sorry I can no longer support you in your endeavors. I will be going home to see I can stay at my sisters for awhile Jethro. What you need is to recover from this and go on with your life?"
"I can't do that without you, Loreile? We married each other through thick and thin. I won't be able to live without and our son."
"Well it's too late! I tried telling you that it was a mistake with going after Hernandez and now you're paying the price now. You didn't wish to hear anyone out as with myself and Director Leon Vance. Maybe once you're healed enough that you will go after him without telling anyone."
"I just can't believe you're saying this to me Loriele. Shane is going to miss his father a great deal." He replied with a single tear falling from his face.
"You should of thought about that earlier before leaving for Paraguay and with getting caught. Now I must go Jethro. Please take care of yourself." She walked out to be the hardest thing she had ever done...
Checking out the time she called Madeline to find out on how Shane was doing. "He's fine Loreile. His best pal is here now after getting home from school. Phineas is playing with Shane right now."
"I will be going to NCIS to speak with Vance. I just walked out on my husband telling him that was going to divorced him."
"I am truly sorry Loreile. You did the best thing in order to protect Gibbs and yourself. It's why I was hired to protect you and Shane. Are you going to be calling your sister Elizabeth?"
"I will after I am done with talking to Vance. I suggest you call the agency and tell them that I am following the orders to leave. This is going to be the hardest thing I have ever done." She stated...
She hung up the phone to call Vance as he picked up his cell seeing her name. "Leon I am coming to speak with you at the Naval Yards. Operation Rumble has been put into place. I will discuss it further when I arrive and using the skip mode in your office."
"Understood Loreile." That was the end of the call and with heading for the elevator. When it had opened with no one inside. She cried with having to be forced to leave again to the factor of the threat made by Hernandez and the terrorist group.
Sometime later she arrived at the Naval Yards with the security guard letting her through the gate and with finding a parking spot. She took the main entrance elevator to head up to Vance's office. She had found the bull pen to be busy with Gibbs team. Even though Lt. James Brown had taken over the team not knowing whether he will be coming back to work.
She walked down the hallway to his office passing Doctor Anthony Sterling formerly Sloane's office. She walked into the outer office of Vance as his secretary Melanie told her to go right in...
"Sit down Loreile while I begin the skip mode and advising my secretary." After a movement he turned on the skip mode with all of the devices into place.
"Thank you. Leon this is the second time we will be running this program in order to protect myself, Shane and Jethro. There had been too much Intel to suggest that the real Hernandez is back into the states again and calling in all of his favors to help him out."
"I understand completely. By the way how did Gibbs take the news?" Vance had offered her a cup of coffee for which she needed.
"Are you kidding? He took it badly and no doubt it's going to affect his mental and physical state. Doctor Grace was supposed to have talked to Taft about it and what is going down with the operation like before. I can imagine that he doesn't like it with Gibbs only to hurt himself further."
"Are you going to go back to the safe house in Arizona with the second child?" Vance needed to know with the answer.
"No. I am going to stay with my sister Elizabeth making it easier for Gibbs to know that where I will be. Did you get the additional funds for the protection detail for the month?"
"I did. Even though it was like pulling teeth with the DOD and SECNAV. So you shouldn't have any further issues along with Madeline watching over the both of you."
