Andy is now 20 weeks along and working a 24 hour shift on desk duty, her least favorite thing to do. They are about 4 hours in and it has been pretty calm so far. She was laying in Robert's bunk, taking a nap, when he walked in and woke her up.
"C'mon we have to go eat lunch." he said softly. "I'll just eat with the team later." she said, still half asleep.
"Andy they already ate. Miller is watching the desk for you so lets go." he said.
"Ok ok I'm coming." she said getting out of bed.
"What do you want to eat?" he asked as they got in the beanery.
"I'm not that hungry but could you make me a smoothie?" she asked.
"Sure." he said.
He made her a strawberry and banana smoothie and cut up some extra strawberries just in case she wanted some. He made himself a sandwich and smoothie before he sat down with Andy.
~Reception~
"Hello, my name is Dean Miller. How may I help you two today?" Dean said, seeing a couple, maybe in their mid 50's, walk into the station.
"We are looking for our son, Robert Sullivan." Katlin said.
"Oh umm I think he is in the beanery. I can take you there or I could call him down." he said, a little shocked because just a few months ago they learned that Andy was married to their captain and now he has met his parents. "Could you take us their please." she said. "Sure follow me." he said, heading up the stairs.
"Thank you Dean for showing us up here." she said.
Andy and Robert were talking about some things they still needed for the baby's room when the beanery doors opened. Andy was facing the door so when her in-laws walked in, she saw them.
"Hi Katlin. Hi Edward." she said, watching Robert's head turn quickly.
"Just like old times." Robert said, rolling his eyes.
"Robert Sullivan don't get that tone with me." his father said.
"Ok can we not do this in the beanery. It is a public place and anyone could walk in at any time." Andy said, grabbing Robert's hand, trying to get his attention.
"You're right. Lets head to my office." he said, standing out of his chair.
They made their way down to his office rather quickly, locking the door and closing the blinds when they walked in.
"So would you like to tell me why you missed the gender reveal." he said, trying to stay calm so Andy wouldn't stress.
"Well son, I had a kidney transplant. 2 weeks after we saw you guys I got diagnosed with kidney failure. They found a donor surprisingly quick and when we got the invitation the doctor told me I would have to stay in the hospital till the day after. Your mother didn't want to tell you about the surgery over the phone so we decided to come down today and tell you. We were hoping you would be of shift so we drove by your house and didn't see the car so we came to the station." Edward said. "Wow dad. I-I didn't know. Why didn't you guys tell us?" he asked.
"We didn't want to make you stress. You should enjoy the time you guys have before the baby is born because after he or she is born you won't get much alone time." his mother said. "Want to tell them what the gender is?" Robert whispered in Andy's ear.
"You can tell them." she whispered back.
"Well mom, dad, we officially found out that we are having a boy." he said with a smile. "That's amazing" his mom said. "Did you guys know what you were having when you did the gender reveal or did someone plan it for you?" "My best friend did it for us. I have some photos if you would like to see." Andy said.
"Ooo yes please." she said.
Andy showed her the pictures the team took of Andy and Robert holding the fire hose and the blue water that came out. They talked for about an hour when the alarm went off.

"Ok I will see you guys later. Bye mom, bye dad." he said rushing.
"Be safe." Andy said as she placed a quick kiss on his lips before her ran out of the office. "How much longer till the baby is here?" Katlin asked.
"Around 4 months. We can't wait to meet him." she said.
"Me either. I can't wait to be a grandma." she said.
"I'm getting called into work. I have to go. It was nice to see you Andy." Edward said.
"It was nice to see you guys too." she said. "Hopefully the next time you guys visit the little guy will be here."
"See you later Andy." they said.
"Bye guys." she said, walking out of the office and sitting at reception.
A few minutes later the team returned.
"Hey where did mom and dad go?" Robert asked, walking back into reception.
"Your dad got called into work so they had to leave." she said.
"Ok. What did you guys talk about when I was gone." he asked.
"Just about little man." she said rubbing her stomach. "And how he will be here in 4 months."
"Have you thought of any names?" he asked, taking a seat next to her.
"I have a few but I don't want to talk about them here. Have you thought of any?" she said. "I have two or three in mind." he said.
"4 months could not come soon enough." Andy said.
"I know. I just want to meet him already." he said, starting to run her belly. "I just hope I will be a good dad."
"Robert you will be an amazing dad. He is going to be the worlds most luckiest person to have you as his father." She said.
"He can be the second luckiest person." he said, seeing his wife giving him a confused face. "I'm the luckiest because I got to marry you and have you carry our children."
"Awww Rob." she said, trying not to cry.
He pulled her into a hug as he said, "I love you."
"I love you too, more than you could ever know" she said, pulling back and kissing him.
"You ready to be at home until he is born in 3 months." he asked, clearly knowing her answer.
"Definitely not, but since you are working from home it will be a little better. Bentley isn't really a great conversationalist." she joked.
"Really. I never noticed." he said in a playful tone.
"Go get back to work. I don't want to wait on you to finish your paper work when shift is over." she said.
"Ok ok I'm going." He gave her one last kiss before he walked back into his office and started back on the paper work.
