Hey people! I know this one is a little early, but I was feeling inspired.

Imagine Coldplay: I use google translator, and I'm not sure if the words are correct though.

Weird head: Yeah. . . . Sorry about that, I've changed it.

"Mother. This is my sister Sofia."

Well, I'm not really sure what I expected, but Amphitrite somehow seemed to disappoint me. I mean, stereotypical step-mother who's going to be cruel to the darling step-child once the parent is gone? Cinderella anyone? I gave her an unimpressed stare, which seemed to aggravate her more.

I internally tried not to smirk. It's not my fault that annoying her is so fun already!

"Well?" She asked, venom still laced with her voice.

I looked at her curiously.

"Aren't you going to bow to your beautiful Queen?" She said, slightly posing herself in, what she thought was beautiful. I tried not to gag. I really really did.

I glared at her, satisfied when she flinched. I had perfected that stare since I was five, as it was needed with the Neighbour hood we lived in and with. . . . Gabe.

"No." I told her. Hermano mayor looked at me, smirking , and I smirked back. The vaca is not going to get one shred of respect from me unless she earns it. [Cow]

"Puny half-breed! I can smite you where you stand!" She snarled, looking half-mad.

"You will do no such thing." A cold voice spoke from behind us.

I turned to see my Papa standing there, glaring at his wife. Hands on my hips, I looked at him closely, searching for anything that might clue me on what happened with him and my Mama. He raised his hands en rendicion and grinned at me.[in surrender] I searched him for another moment before grinning back and going to hug him.

"Hola Papa!" I chirped.

He laughed and said. "Hola mi hijita."

"Now come on! I want to show you the beauty of Atlantis." Papa proclaimed, puffing his chest out a bit. I giggled at how ridiculous he looked. He pouted and then lifted me up, placing me on his shoulders, one leg on each shoulder.

And no, I did not squeal in surprise, I would never do that.

Triton followed us outside, muttering something about sea chickens and something that rhymed with 'ducking witch', leaving behind, said ducking witch\ sea chicken.

I smiled, amused.

Maybe allowing other people into their family might not be so bad.

We walked through the streets of Atlantis, well I sat on Papa's shoulders and he did the walking. . . .

The merchants would often offer us some type of sample, whether it be cloth, food (which I quickly ate, they were all delicious.) other miscellanea. I loved how Papa ruled his country. Never be afraid of something someone would give you, don't act as if you are above the citizens, as a throne is a chair without people.

And in turn, the people trusted and didn't fear my Papa, because love is better than fear. They were loyal to the throne, and in turn Papa only wanted what was best for them, not him.

I wanted to learn so much, and what better place, than one of earth's oldest cities? I also wanted cool weapons, how else can I defend myself? Mortal or Mythical.

"Papa, can you teach me how to fight?" I asked Papa, my head resting on top of his hair, which occasionally tickled me.

"Of course my little guppy, you can pick out your weapons as well."

You know, how some people say that the magic word is 'please'? That's not true with me, it's weapons.

Meh, what can I say, I'm a little violent to people who deserve it. So, I was practically bouncing in excitement, which did not help my Papa's balance.

Sally was worried.

Poseidon had just told her about two prophecies regarding her little girl, both of which, she did not like.

One predicted her soul being reaped when she reached sixteen, which made Sally want to bubble wrap her beautiful child, and keep her close. The other one predicted that the most womanizing god in the Greek pantheon had to accompany her hijita in her 'acts of valor'!?

She sighed, deciding to take a walk along the shore, waiting for Sofia to return from her day out in Atlantis. She needed to talk to her daughter.

Everything had changed so quickly in the course of two days, that it had her reeling at times. Like when a grinning Poseidon and a sleepy Triton had showed up at her door earlier today.

She smiled and sighed. She would never stop loving Poseidon, but she understood. But that didn't make it any easier though. She wanted her daughter to experience life's ups and downs, work hard to earn her own things, see the charm of simple things, not have responsibility shoved into her inexperienced shoulders. Which was part of the reason Sally had to take two jobs. The other was her husband.

She had hoped that her hijita would be safe with his scent, safe from the monsters, but she had allowed a monster into her own home. Oh her sweet little daughter had never indicated anything about what happened and she knew it was all her own fault. She needed to apologize to her de NiƱo. [Baby]

She wallowed in her thoughts for a little while, before setting up a campfire for the night. She stared at the golden-red flames dancing around each other, mesmerized.

When she started to get really worried about her daughter, Sofia walked out of the water with a sparkle in her eyes.

"Sofia! How was your day little daughter?" I asked, pulling her into my lap. She started to chatter excitedly, reveling in the beauty of Atlantis and it's charm. I smiled, happy to see that sparkle in her eyes, one she thought might have been extinguished forever. If her brother and father made her so happy, then she would have to thank them later.

"Maya? Will you forgive me for making you live with that monster? Will you forgive your Mama? I'm so sorry mi hijita." Sally said, cupping her daughter's face with her hands, with tears in her eyes.

"Mama! Don't cry Mama, I love you. And of course I'm gonna forgive you! You only wanted to protect me." She said with such conviction that even I believed it. She wiped my tears away and cuddled closer to me. I sniffed and smiled. My daughter was the most kind-hearted, sweet and passionate person she had seen.

"I'll kick him out tomorrow hijita. Can you stay with your Papa till then? Or your Hermano mayor?" I asked

"Ok mama!" She chirped cutely, making me kiss her button nose.

I loved my daughter, with all of my heart.

"Maya? Will you forgive me for making you live with that monster? Will you forgive your Mama? I'm so sorry mi hijita." Mama said, with tears in her eyes. I was horrified that Mama was crying and quickly wiped away her tears. I wanted to soothe her aching heart, and I believed it wasn't her fault for trying to protect me from monsters.

"Mama!" I cried. "Don't cry Mama, I love you. And of course I'm gonna forgive you! You only wanted to protect me." I said, with conviction, cuddling into my partner against the world.

Mama sniffed and cuddled me back, making me feel safe and loved.

I loved my Mama so much.

That's it with this chapter, also, I need you to answer these questions people.

Do you want Sally paired with Poseidon?

Is Sofia too wise and mature for her age? I kinda feel like that's the case. . . .

If any of you have ideas for her weapons, feel free to PM me.

I really need you guys to answer these questions before the next chapter!

I hope you liked it,

~Rose.
