Chapter 11: Outfoxed
Exhausted from a night with next to no sleep, Mick rubbed at his eyes, but refused to give up as he studied the damaged Zord Stars that the Rangers had left him.
"They don't even look a little better," he sighed, leaning on the table as he stared at the scorched Zord Stars. "Either there's a lot more damage to them than we'd hoped, or whatever self-repair systems the Zords have are out of commission too," he shook his head, struggling to try and come up with some way to fix them.
"We'll think of something," Teddie tried to keep positive, smiling at their exhausted mentor. He nodded, managing a small smile of his own. Her phone then rang, and she quickly answered it, stepping away as Mick continued to stare at the Zord Stars, as if hoping they'd give him the answer.
"Maybe you should get some rest, Mick," Redbot suggested as he approached. Mick shook his head.
"I'll rest when the Foxatron is defeated," he replied.
"Would you let the Rangers say that?" Heckyl asked him, taking him by surprise. He tilted his head a little as Mick tried to deny it, before sighing.
"Well, no. But the deadline is so close. I need to think of something," he shook his head, refusing to step back.
"We really do," Teddie's voice was quiet when she stepped back in.
"What's wrong now?" Heckyl asked as she slid her phone into her pocket. She walked over and lifted her Green Zord Star, staring at it.
"SPD got attacked. Everyone's okay, but their Zords are out of commission for at least a few days," she told them quietly. Heckyl cursed as Mick's head dropped forwards and he leaned on the table.
"Odius," their mentor realised with dread. Teddie nodded.
"That's what they reckon too. They must have known that they were our last resort if we couldn't get our Zords repaired," she summed up what her brother had told her. It was all up to them.
When the bell rang, Mick sighed, and straightened up. He turned to Teddie, trying to look less stressed.
"You better get back to class. We'll think of something," he told her. The Green Ranger didn't look happy at the idea, but nodded.
"Just...don't burn yourself out Mick," she told him, before slipping out of the base.
"Man...it feels like we're in a dream," Calvin muttered as he walked through the corridors after class with Hayley, Brody and Daisy.
"Or a nightmare," Brody sighed. None of them had slept well, and they'd had to explain why they'd all suddenly ditched the camping trip that evening.
"I still can't believe Odius disabled our Zords," Hayley confessed.
"We have to get our Zords working again," Brody said as Sarah, Preston and Teddie joined them.
"That's for sure. With SPD's defences down, we're on our own with this one," Teddie ran a hand through her hair.
"Odius' Foxatron will be fully powered in two hours," Preston reminded them.
"I don't know if the last 24 hours have dragged, or gone super fast," Daisy complained. "Either way, it's not enough time," she added, and they all had to agree with her.
"Well, let's hope Mick found a solution," Sarah said as Levi and Aaron walked over to them.
"Mick says he hasn't come up with a way to stop the Foxatron," Levi told them, having heard Sarah's words. They all groaned.
"Great…"
"We're Rangers," Brody reminded them quietly, trying to keep his team confident. "Failure isn't an option. Let's go," he told them. None of them looked very confident, but they followed their leader, heading through the main area.
"Hi," a pretty girl tapped Preston on his shoulder, catching his attention and pulling him away from the others. She started talking to him quietly, nervous, and Daisy tilted her head.
"Who is that?" she whispered.
"She's a new student. I think her name was Sandy," Teddie recognised her from class. "Sits beside Presto in science class," she added.
"Poor timing," Aaron winced as Preston apologised and hurried back to his friends. He glanced back, seeing the disappointed look on the girl's face, before Victor and Monty approached her. "Ouch. If the world wasn't at risk in two hours, I'd go help her," he muttered. Teddie hummed her agreement.
"Those Medallions better be ready!" Odius shouted as she stormed into the maintenance room where Eidolon was watching the Ninja Medallions charge up with Badonna.
"They're almost done, Madame!" Badonna bowed to her as she entered.
"Good job, you two," Odius peered at them closely. The Medallions shone with purple energy, making her smirk. "When the Medallions have finished recharging...my Foxatron will finally destroy the Rangers, and their Power Stars will be mine!" she looked out over to the Foxatron being prepped by Kudabots.
"Look Wolvermean! It's just like I told you!" Venoma's shriek earned their attention as the doors slid open. Wolvermean growled as he saw the Medallions in their possession. "She has all our Medallions!" she gestured frantically.
"I'm taking mine back! I need it for my memory powers!" Wolvermean stormed in, but Eidolon blocked his path.
"Try it, furball. Or are you just sad excuses for Ninjas without them?" she sneered, fingers crackling with power. "You had your chance and you failed. The Medallions are ours now," Eidolon declared as Badonna giggled. Wolvermean snarled at her.
"In two hours, the Foxatron will be fully charged. But if you can destroy the Rangers before then, you can have your Medallions back," Odius told the two.
"What's the catch?" Wolvermean demanded suspiciously.
"If you fail, my Foxatron will destroy you and the Rangers," Odius told them. Wolvermean snarled again, before turning and storming out. "Good luck!" the witch called, laughing to herself as Venoma followed.
"You don't really mean to give them back their Medallions, do you?" Badonna asked curiously as the doors slid shut.
"Of course not," Odius dismissed the idea quickly. "The power of those Medallions is wasted on those fools. This way the Rangers will destroy them, or I'll destroy them all in one go," she laughed as Eidolon smirked to herself.
"Well...it didn't work," Mick sighed after another failed attempt.
"Suffering circuits…" Redbot gulped. He then turned as the Rangers arrived, stepping under the fan. "I'm afraid we haven't had much luck," he admitted.
"There must be some way to fix the Zord Stars," Brody sighed.
"You've all been trying for almost a full day," Arianna spoke up as she approached them, having returned to the base to try and help. "And melting it down to reforge it just hasn't worked," she shook her head.
"It just won't melt," Mick admitted as Brody took his Red Zord Star in his hand, summoning flames and willing them to burn hotter. The others shied away from the heat as the flames turned almost pure white, hurting to even look at. However, the Zord Star remained fine.
"Even if we can activate the Ultrazord, we need a new strategy to have a chance against Odius' Foxatron," Sarah pointed out.
"Sarah's right. She tossed us around like a ragdoll the last time," Daisy muttered.
"Yeah...and we need it fast," Brody agreed. Arianna's eyes widened, and she nudged Teddie.
"Perhaps that," she started, gesturing to the Prism as it started to glow brightly. "Can help?" she suggested, and they all quickly gathered around the Prism as it showed a vision of the future.
"Those are new Zords!" Hayley breathed as they saw a collection of different Zords racing along.
"Wow! I have never seen them before," Mick admitted.
"I suppose now is a good time to use these?" Heckyl handed over the Super Steel that had been left on the table, waiting for a reason to be used.
"Great idea! Let's try and make new Stars to activate the Zords!" Mick stepped back, and hurled all of them into the Prism. They connected, disappearing inside, and the Prism started to spin as the center changed color. "Stand back," Mick warned.
"Careful! Remember, they fly out quite quickly," Redbot told them nervously as they all watched hopefully. However, the Prism slowed to a stop, and the glowing faded to reveal eight new Stars inside.
"Or...maybe not," Mick took a step closer to peer at them curiously.
"That seemed a little anticlimactic," Teddie commented.
"Why didn't they fly out?" Mick wondered as they all edged closer.
"It's like they're stuck," Preston realised.
"But why?" Brody asked as he leaned even closer. He reached up to see if he could reach inside, but his fingers pressed against the cold crystal.
"It's like when our Power Stars were inside it. But we could take those out," Daisy frowned. "Mick?" she turned to their mentor, who looked thoughtful.
"Oh, well...no idea," he admitted weakly.
"Guys!" Preston yelped when there was a flash of purple light. The Rangers quickly moved forwards, ready to fight as a portal opened up in their base and three figures stepped out. All of them wore cloaks, hiding themselves completely.
"Who are you?" Brody asked.
"And how did you find this place?" Teddie added.
"Trust me, we know a lot about you," the first cloaked figure answered. "We're on your side," he told them.
"We're here to help with your...little problem," the second pointed to the Prism. Teddie's brow furrowed, recognising the voice. "The Blaze Zord Stars," she explained.
"'Blaze Zords'...? How do you know what they are?" Sarah asked, confused.
"Legends say you have to earn the power of the Blaze Zords from the Prism," the first stranger told them.
"You have to earn those Zord Stars, by proving yourself to the Prism," the second added to his explanation.
"Prove ourselves?" Levi frowned at her words. He shook his head, not understanding. "What does that even mean? We're already Rangers," he pointed out.
"Hey, listen," Sarah snapped as she stepped forwards. "If we don't get those Stars, the world as we know it will be destroyed in two hours!" she growled at them.
"Then you better get proving yourself," the second stranger only shrugged. "Besides. The end of the world doesn't mean everything really ends," she added, only confusing them more.
"You are the only ones who can unlock those Stars," the first spoke again. Behind them, the portal reappeared. Without another word, the three stepped back into the portal, and it vanished.
"Uh...who were those guys?" Calvin demanded.
"Something about those portals...it seemed familiar...but different," Teddie folded her arms, having found the sensation familiar. "It was almost like when I travelled through time," she considered.
"You what?" even Heckyl turned to her, baffled.
"What?" Teddie tilted her head.
"Teddie," Arianna couldn't help but smile in amusement. "She went back in time to help my dad's team, Operation Overdrive, when they lost their powers," she explained briefly. Teddie shrugged, before looking around when the alarm beeped.
"No time to go into details now," she said as Mick went to the computer quickly.
"We have got Buzz-Cams flying into the city," he gulped.
"What do we do now?" Hayley wondered.
"Simple," Brody hadn't looked away from the Blaze Stars. "We prove what Rangers are made of, that's what," the others nodded at his words.
"Looks like we're going downtown," Calvin said as he glanced to the location on screen, and followed the rest out.
Wolvermean and Venoma weren't hard to find in town, talking into the Buzzcams to hype up the audience watching.
"Ninja Blast!" they barely managed to deflect the attacks shot their way.
"Curse you!" Venoma spat at them.
"Him again?" Teddie groaned at the sight of Wolvermean.
"Just means we get to knock him around again," Aaron said as the Galactic Ninjas scowled at them.
"It's Morphin' Time!" Brody shouted. "Power Stars!"
"Lock in! NINJA SPIN!" they Morphed, ready to fight.
"For the Galactic Ninjas!" Wolvermean howled. He and Venoma ran at the Rangers, and while most went after Wolvermean, Levi and Aaron focused on Venoma, knocking her back with powerful blows.
"Fighting without my Medallion is impossible!" she shrieked as she got back to her feet. She vanished in a flash of light, and the two high-fived. Nearby, Brody slammed Wolvermean against the wall with a swing of his blade.
"Nice moves Brody!" Calvin grinned.
"Let's finish this creep for good this time," Teddie called, and they all raised their weapons.
"Ninja Strike, Steel Slash! Ninja Spin!" they rushed Wolvermean and bombarded him with attacks. "Final Attack!" with a combined blow, they cut through his thick armour.
"Not again!" he howled, exploded.
"Too easy!" they laughed as they regrouped.
"Not so fast," Teddie gulped as she saw Wolvermean stagger out of the flames.
"He survived? Again?" Daisy gasped.
"I'm defeated, but not destroyed! I'll be back!" he vowed, and disappeared.
"He got away!" Hayley groaned.
"Venoma retreated too," Levi added.
"That's gotta prove that we're worthy, right?" Brody wondered, his mind still on the Blaze Zord Stars locked in the Prism.
"Then let's go see if the Blaze Zord Stars have come out of the Prism!" Hayley suggested, and they hurried back to their base.
To their dismay, when the team returned to the base, the Stars showed no signs of moving.
"I'm sorry, they're still stuck," Mick sighed.
"But if defeating monsters doesn't prove we're worthy…" Preston murmured. "What does?" he wondered aloud as the others looked just as confused.
"The Foxatron will be charged in one hour," Sarah reminded, the clock ticking down.
"Worthy…" Teddie murmured to herself.
"I don't get it! We've shown that we're strong fighters, and yet those Zord Stars are still frozen," Preston shook his head, frustrated at their lack of progress.
"So? What's the plan?" Levi asked as they sighed.
"Well, it looks like fixing your old Zord Stars is our best hope," Mick admitted, having exhausted all other thoughts.
"You're right," Brody agreed, although his reluctance was clear. "They beat our Zords before, but we have to try," he decided.
"But Mick, you said that Super Steel was too strong to melt down. Even Brody couldn't do it," Sarah reminded their mentor.
"It is, but I have an idea," Mick smiled as an idea came to mind. "If we put them in a chemical bath, and shock them with electrodes, we might be able to shock them back to life," he suggested.
"Like jump-starting a car!" Calvin realised.
"Exactly! Well, not exactly, but definitely sorta kinda like that," Mick shrugged, and grabbed a piece of paper. "So! I need everything on this list," he quickly scribbled down some ingredients.
"Okay," Brody took the paper from him and studied it. "Most of these will be in the science lab. Yeah. Let's go!" as most of them left, Teddie stayed behind, deep in thought.
"Teddie? What's on your mind?" Heckyl asked, and she blinked, looking up at them as they watched her curiously.
"Worthy. They said we had to prove ourselves. Not be strong fighters. If that was the case, the Prism would have spat out the Power Stars to Galvanax years ago," she pointed out. "It's like…" Teddie murmured to herself. "Oh!" she rushed out without another word.
"Did Teddie figure it out?" Redbot asked, confused.
"Even I can't begin to guess what goes on in Teddie's head," Arianna smiled. "But I think she has," she said.
"Oh, shoot! No...no!" the Rangers stopped, hearing the upset cries. Looking around, they found their teacher, Mrs. Finch, crouched on the ground tugging at the bars blocking a drain pipe.
"Is everything okay, Mrs. Finch?" Hayley asked as they approached.
"It's my wedding ring!" she told them. "It fell down the drain! It was my mother's," she sniffed. "I don't know what to do," she mumbled as Teddie reached them, and paused when she saw them watching Mrs. Finch with worry.
"We gotta get this stuff to Mick," Brody whispered to the others.
"Yeah, but we have to help too," Teddie told him.
"You guys go ahead," Calvin suggested. "Hayley and I will help find the ring," he decided, and Hayley nodded.
"Okay...be quick," Brody agreed, hurrying on and leaving the two to help the teacher.
Arriving at the science lab, they quickly made their way in to grab what they needed.
"Excuse me?" Victor looked offended at the interruption, and they looked around. He stood with Monty and Sandy, all wearing lab coats and goggles. "We're trying to 'science' in here," he complained.
"Don't let us stop you," Aaron shrugged, checking the list in Brody's hand and moving towards the back of the classroom. "In fact I relish in the idea of watching Victor Vincent try to…'science'," he smirked, earning a glare from the young man.
"We'll be quick," Brody barely even looked up from the list. He quickly delegated tasks to the team, and Teddie grabbed a box for them to dump it all into.
"Hey...you guys aren't gonna combine those chemicals, are you?" Preston asked nervously when he saw what Victor was holding. "Cause...that could be dangerous," he warned. Victor scoffed.
"Listen bub, you stick to magic, leave science to the experts," he dismissed the warning as Monty laughed. Sandy didn't speak, looking a little annoyed as Preston sighed.
"Okay," he gave in and walked away to put the bottle he'd lifted into the box. Daisy shook her head, moving farther away as they poured in red and yellow liquids into a beaker. A moment later, there was a hissing noise, followed by the liquid exploding out and splattering Victor and Monty when they leaned in to see what was going on.
"What happened?" Victor cried, both covered in goo.
"We're stuck!" Monty realised, his hair stuck to Victor's. The taller student shrieked when Monty tried to pull away, and the two hurried out the door as best they could.
"Ouch, she looks pretty upset," Teddie murmured to Preston, who nodded before approaching her. "I swear, they get into more chaos than us," the Green Ranger sighed, dumping her findings into the box as Preston spoke quietly with Sandy.
"Pres, we have everything we need," Sarah called over. "Let's go?" he glanced over, and looked at the girl again before hurrying over.
"I can't just leave her here," Preston whispered as he ran over. He turned to Sandy, who now had her head in her hands as she wondered how she was going to finish her project. "Go on ahead. I'm gonna help Sandy figure out this experiment," he decided. "It'll be quick," he promised.
"Sounds good," Teddie nodded, and they left with their things as Preston returned to Sandy.
"I really hope this works. We're running low on time," Brody said as he and his brother carried the supplies across the school grounds towards their base.
"We have no choice. If it doesn't…" Daisy glanced away, her attention caught by Savannah's curse. Turning, she saw the girl struggling with the archery gear, bringing it back after practice. She sighed, seeing nobody else around trying to help. "I'll catch you up," she told the others.
"What?" Brody turned to her, but Daisy was already jogging over to Savannah.
"Guess I could lend a hand too," Aaron said cheerfully, following her.
"Just hurry!" Brody groaned as the rest continued to walk.
"I get that you guys are all about helping people, but don't you think you're going a little overboard?" Savannah rolled her eyes, not about to admit that she was grateful for their help.
"We literally fight giant monsters to keep people safe," Aaron pointed out in a cheerful but quiet voice. She arched an eyebrow at him. "I think we can handle helping carry this stuff to the store room," he said.
"Well you're full of yourself," she sniffed, which only made him laugh.
"I think I'm allowed some leeway," Aaron shrugged as Daisy's eyebrows rose.
"If you say so," Savannah kept walking ahead of the two, and Aaron caught Daisy's gaze.
"What?" he asked, seeing her expression.
"You're ridiculous," she declared. Aaron only shrugged in response, his smile still cheerful.
"Is it me, or is everyone getting into trouble today?" Sarah asked as they hurried back towards the base.
"Definitely not just you," Teddie agreed.
"Hey, did you guys get all the stuff?" Calvin called as he and Hayley found them, running over.
"Yep. You find the ring?" Teddie asked the two, who were covered in dirt.
"Yeah, eventually," Hayley nodded. "Quick, we better get to Mick," she said.
"Uh...that looks painful," Teddie stopped them with her words, and they found Victor and Monty flailing on the ground still glued together. Brody sighed.
"We can't leave em like that," he told them, feeling bad for the two as they continued to shout at each other.
"Uh...okay, we'll take this up to Mick," Calvin decided, and he and Hayley grabbed the two boxes.
"Wait a minute," Sarah grabbed a bottle of solvent from the box. "This solvent ought to get those two unstuck," she ran over to the pair.
"See you at the base," Teddie, Levi and Brody followed her as Hayley and Calvin ran to bring Mick what they needed.
"Help!" Victor whimpered as the four approached.
"You guys need some help?" Levi couldn't help but ask.
"I'm begging you...this is a nightmare," Victor complained, barely able to see them through the green goop that covered his safety goggles.
"Hold them still," Sarah instructed. Brody and Levi grabbed the pair, and Teddie fixed their goggles and covered their faces as Sarah poured the solvent into their hair. "Don't wiggle," she told them as they yelled at the sensation.
"Well? Is it gonna work?" Preston asked, having returned to the base after helping Sandy with her project.
"We're not getting enough voltage with these," Mick gestured to the school equipment they'd borrowed.
"Guess that means I'm up," Heckyl sighed.
"Uh…why is Heckyl zapping Cal's Zord Star?" Aaron asked as he and Daisy stepped under the fan and saw the blue lights wrapped around the Zord Star in the chemical bath.
"Where'd you two go?" Preston asked.
"Helping Savannah out. Turns out she's now the Vice-Captain of the Archery club, and the Captain left her to clear away everything," Aaron answered him.
"Where's Brody and the others?" Daisy asked when he saw they were still four Rangers down.
"Unsticking Victor and Monty," Calvin chuckled.
"Oh good. I felt kinda bad for the two stumbling around like that," Aaron grinned, peering a little closer at the bubbling beaker glowing blue.
"You have a death wish," Heckyl muttered to him.
"I'm a Ranger, of course I do," the Silver Ranger's words made him smirk.
"We got Victor and Monty unstuck," Brody said as they returned to the base as well. "Turns out they weren't inseparable after all," he smirked, making them laugh.
"Any luck with the Stars?" Levi asked hopefully as he approached.
"We're about to find out," Preston said. They all peered closer as Heckyl's powers faded, leaving a faint glow around the Zord Star as Mick lifted it from the beaker. When the lights faded and the chemicals seemed to dry off, Calvin took it from Mick and studied it.
"You did it!" he grinned brightly as the Star seemed to glow, good as new. "You jump-started my Zord Star!" he could feel the faint hum of power from it. "Let's do the rest," Calvin said as the others let themselves celebrate a small amount.
"But…" Arianna hated to be the one to say it. "There's no time," their smiles fell at her words. "It's been 24 hours, the Foxatron could be back any minute," she warned quietly.
"Way to be the negative one," Teddie murmured, nudging her.
"We still have eight more Zord Stars to fix," Hayley groaned.
"There's no way we have enough time," Preston sighed.
"What do we do now?" Levi wondered.
"There's got to be something," Teddie murmured, watching the Prism keeping the Blaze Zord Stars secure. "Really wish I'd learned the grow big technique from Pai Zhuq," she complained.
"You had some kind of idea before, didn't you?" Heckyl asked her, and she glanced around.
"Did I?" she asked innocently, tilting her head as he rolled his eyes. Teddie could be just as annoying in keeping thoughts and ideas to herself until needed.
"The Prism!" Levi gasped suddenly as it started to glow. The Rangers quickly gathered around, and caught the Stars the Prism spat out at them.
"The Blaze Zord Stars!" Brody laughed as he admired the new Star in his hand.
"But...why?" Hayley asked, very confused.
"Uh…" they looked around as Mick gulped, and found the portal from before opening again.
"Hello again," the third stranger greeted as the three stepped from the portal. Teddie frowned, finding his voice familiar as well.
"Hey, you figured it out," the second one commented, seeing the Blaze Stars in their hands.
"Figured it out?" Daisy asked, confused.
"Yes, through your actions today, you've proven to the Prism that you are worthy of controlling the power of the Blaze Zords," the first explained.
"But the Prism already knows we're worthy," Brody said slowly, not understanding. "We're Power Rangers. It gave us our powers. What was different about today?" he asked.
"Don't you remember what you did, in your most desperate hour?" the first asked. They all fell quiet, thinking about the people they'd helped. "As you worked to save the world, you still found the time to help those in need," he pointed out.
"It was never about strength or being Rangers," the second spoke up. "It's about putting others ahead of yourself. That's what proved your worth to the Prism and unlocked your Blaze Zords," she explained.
"Wow...that's epic," Brody couldn't help but laugh.
"Yes, very...epic," the third stranger laughed a little.
"Thanks, whoever you are," Preston smiled at the three, who nodded.
"Dunno why you're thanking us. You did all the work," the second shrugged. "Later," with that, she turned and stepped through the portal again with the other two.
"I don't really know why they had to be so cryptic about it," Teddie rolled her eyes as the portal closed behind them.
"You figured it out, didn't you?" Mick accused.
"It wasn't hard," Teddie smirked, earning several shoves from her team. "It's just like how we got our powers in the first place. Selfless acts to help others," she pointed out.
"Why didn't you just tell us?" Brody asked, and she shrugged.
"If you're going out of your way to do a selfless act for a selfish reason, it's not exactly selfless, is it?" she asked him with a tilt of her head.
"I hate that she's right," Daisy complained. Teddie winked at her, before the alarm blared.
"Is it Foxatron?" Sarah asked as they whirled around, the light-hearted mood gone.
"No, it's Wolvermean!" Redbot gulped. "He's going giant in the city!" he explained.
"Time for him to meet our new Blaze Zords," Brody said, leading the team out of the base.
The Rangers ran through town, Morphing as they did, and spotted Wolvermean towering over the city.
"There he is," Brody scowled up at the massive monster.
"The Foxatron could be activated at any minute. So I'm gonna get my revenge now!" Wolvermean snarled, grabbing his axe as he glared down at the team.
"Move!" Daisy yelled, and the team scattered to avoid the axe as it came down at them.
"It's Blaze Zord time!" Brody decided. "Ninja Blaze Zord Stars!"
"Lock in! Activate! Ninja Spin!"
"Falcon Zord!"
"Serpent Zord!"
"Panda Zord!"
"Tortoise Zord!"
"Piranha Zord!"
"Tiger Zord!"
"Rabbit Zord!"
"Crane Zord!"
"Fox Zord!"
"Out of the Shadows!" the Zords appeared, flying towards Wolvermean as he took a step back in horror.
"What? No!" he gasped.
"That's incredible!" Hayley laughed as they admired their new Zords from the ground.
"Let's form our new Megazord and take him down!" Brody cheered. "Ninja Blaze Megazord, combine!" the Zords all changed, coming together to form a brand new Megazord, orange and blue in colour to match their Zord Stars.
"Ninja Super Steel Mode, ready!" the Rangers appeared in the cockpit, ready to fight.
"Ninja Blaze Megazord, ready!"
"This Megazord feels like it's on a whole other level!" Calvin laughed with excitement.
"This is one mean machine!" Sarah grinned.
"I love it!" Teddie laughed, bouncing on the spot.
"We're gonna make magic with this thing!"
"Wolvermean doesn't stand a chance," Hayley and Preston high-fived.
"Let's kick his butt!"
"Time to show him what we got!" Levi smirked.
"Oh yeah!"
"Altogether guys!" Brody raised the Master Blade.
"New Megazord or not, you're going down!" Wolvermean hid his fear over the powerful new Megazord they faced him in, and swung the chain his axe was connected to. He threw it , and it wrapped around one of their arms before they punched him. He cried out at the blow, staggering backwards before a second blow landed in the same spot. As he stepped backwards, they yanked on the chain and his shield was ripped from his arm. "My shield!" Wolvermean shrieked.
"Yes! The Medallions are fully charged!" Odius rushed into the room, barely waiting for the doors to open as Eidolon looked around, finishing what she was doing. "Now I can reactivate my Foxatron!" the fox-faced witch grabbed the four Medallions shining with power. "It's time for me to crush those Ninja Rangers, once and for all!" she stormed off without another word as Eidolon rolled her eyes.
"And hopefully destroy Wolvermean in the process," she murmured.
Wolvermean barely managed to stay on his feet after two heavy kicks landed against his chest, and he breathed heavily. He'd lost once already that day against them, and the Rangers were stronger than ever.
"Blaze Zord, Fury Punch!" Brody shouted. The Megazord lashed out, bombarding him with punches, and he cried out, staggering backwards again.
"It's not over yet, Rang-ah!" he let out a scream of pain, howling as Odius laughed. The Rangers stared in alarm, horrified as a sword burst out of his chest.
"Oh yes it is!" she taunted from her Foxatron behind him, her blade sticking between his shoulders. "You had your chance, Wolvermean, now it's my turn," she laughed.
"Curse you Odius, you treacherous wicked witch!" Wolvermean screamed, collapsing and exploding.
"Oh no, the Foxatron's back," Brody gulped.
"And she destroyed Wolvermean in one hit," Teddie breathed.
"Why would Odius destroy her own monster?" Levi wondered.
"I don't know, but let's hope this new Megazord is powerful enough to take down that evil Zord!" Sarah tried to stay confident.
"Prepare yourself, Rangers! I intend to savor this," Odius warned, certain she had the upper hand. The Foxatron raised its sword, and ran at them.
"Let's go!" Brody shouted. Sparks exploded from the shoulder of their Megazord as the Foxatron's blade slammed into it, but the fight was a lot more balanced than the last.
"Fox Drone Swarm!" when it didn't go in her favour as much as she'd liked, Odius called on the fox-shaped drones.
"That trick's not gonna work twice, Odius!" Brody shouted.
"Ninja Blaze! Burning Blast!" the Megazord burst into flames that wrapped together into a ball. They threw it at the fox drones, smashing through them and eating up their attacks. It slammed into the Foxatron, who barely managed to block the attack.
"No!" Odius shrieked.
"We're coming for you!" Brody warned her.
"Ninja Blaze! Star Blitz!" parts of the Megazord flashed, creating star-shaped lights that wrapped around the Foxatron. They flashed, and exploded, scorching the robot and damaging it.
"It's so strong...impossible!" Odius snarled. "But I'm never giving up! Give me everything you've got!" she shouted at them as if her Foxatron wasn't smoking.
"Let's end this," Teddie growled.
"She asked for it," Sarah smirked, ready to give Odius just what she'd asked for. "Brody, let's call in the big guns," she said to their leader. Brody nodded.
"Begin final attack!" as he activated the sword, all of them began glowing in their respective colours.
"This is new," Aaron commented, looking at the silver lights that surrounded him.
"Hold on everyone!" Brody shouted. They all vanished from their podiums, and the front Megazord began to glow with each of their colours.
"Ninja Blaze Megazord, Ranger Blast!"
"What?!" Odius gasped. Each of the Rangers were fired from the Megazord.
"Final Attack!" they all cut through the Foxatron one by one, before landing on the ground below.
"Show's over," Brody grinned as the Foxatron exploded. "Ninjas win," he declared.
Odius crashed to the ground, barely managing to escape the Foxatron before it exploded.
"Oh no, Madame!" Badonna gasped as she rushed over to the fallen witch. Eidolon followed at a slower pace. "Are you alright?" Badonna ran to her, and gasped again. "Your face!" she stared at the scar that cut down one eye.
"It's just a scratch!" Odius snapped, shoving her away. "Curse those Rangers. How did they get those new Zords?!" she demanded, glaring up at the Blaze Megazord.
"I don't know, Madame Odius-"
"The Super Ninja Steel they stole," Eidolon murmured, staring at the Megazord as well. "The power it holds is incredible," she couldn't help but laugh. Power that would soon be hers.
"My revenge will be devastating," Odius vowed angrily. "I'll get you Rangers! Just wait!" she promised, before the three vanished in a flash of light.
"I am so glad that's over, and that Mick and Heckyl have fixed all of our Zord Stars," Hayley chuckled as the Rangers stood together back at school.
"If I never see another Fox again, it'll be too soon," Levi grinned.
"Hey, that's my new Zord," Aaron frowned at him, making the singer laugh.
"I feel like we learned a lot today," Calvin admitted, hands in his pockets as the others giggled too.
"Like how Teddie is more devious than we thought?" Sarah gave Teddie a pointed stare. The Green Ranger shrugged.
"You caught on in your own time," she replied.
"I still want to know about you travelling through time," Preston added.
"We're not worthy just because we're Rangers, and we're good at fighting," Calvin laughed lightly at their banter.
"But because we'll always do what's right," Brody finished for the Yellow Ranger, who nodded. "That's pretty epic," he grinned.
"I just can't stop thinking about those mysterious cloaked strangers," Hayley admitted as she, Teddie and Sarah walked together to get to class. "If it weren't for them, we'd have no idea why the Prism helped us," she pointed out, and the other two nodded. She was right. If they hadn't hinted at it at the start, or explained at the end, none of them would have understood.
"Yeah...where did they come from?" Sarah wondered.
"I feel like I know two of them," Teddie admitted. "I just can't figure it out," she sighed.
"I wonder if we'll ever see them again," Hayley glanced to the other two, wondering just who the mysterious strangers were.
"And I wonder who saw this coming," Teddie smirked as they joined the others and saw Preston inviting Sandy to join them playing pool.
"That is interesting," Daisy grinned as they all greeted the new girl, who smiled shyly at them. They all started playing, but all of the Rangers still had the strangers on their mind, wondering just who they were.
Next chapter is my take on Dimensions in Danger, and let's just say...I got a bit carried away.
Hope you liked it!
