Chapter 9: Honeymoon.
After their wedding, Clare had hosted a Traditional Canadian Tea at her house, in lieu of a wedding reception and it had been far more intimate, especially considering there had only been about 50 people at the wedding itself. It had been a party, but it had also been where Andy and Nick had signed their wedding certificate. The Traditional Tea had been full of tea, as well as dances and Andy had finally had the chance to meet Nick's brother and Clare was so happy to be hosting it, considering she had missed out on so many important moments of her life and having all of her friends there made it even more special. When the dancing had started, Andy and Nick had had their first dance as a married couple, then Andy had danced with her dad. Everyone had been surprised when Sam had asked Andy for a dance, but she had accepted, knowing that, even he, only meant friendship now and they had shared a nice dance and he told her that Nick deserved her, because he'd never seen her so happy. It was clear to anyone who looked that he still loved her.
Tracey had also introduced Andy to her new boyfriend and his child and Andy liked him very much and she so wanted her best friend to be happy and she was also happy to see Chloe dancing with Nick, because they were good friends.
The night of the wedding had been spent at home, but, early the next morning, they went to Niagara Falls for their honeymoon and they were there for a week, before returning to work at Division-15. The lodge they were staying in was amazing and perfect for the two of them and it offered them an amazing view of the nature by which they were surrounded. They had chosen their post-wedding destination together because it meant something to both of them; it had been when they had been undercover, still friends, but when Nick had started to fall in love with Andy, when he had realised that he wanted to be with her rather than Gail. Also, at this time of year, it was one of the most beautiful and romantic places in the world and such a place was fitting of their honeymoon.
It was their fifth morning there and Nick was not surprised that he was the first to wake up and he smiled at the sight of Andy, his sleeping wife. His wife. He still could hardly believe that they were married, for the rest of their lives and he was the luckiest guy in the world. He left her sleeping and made two cups of coffee, which is brought back to bed and he was very happy to sit there and watch her sleep as he was drinking his coffee.
When Andy opened her eyes slightly and started to wake up, Nick put down the coffee and, with a grin on his face, started to tickle her. Laughing, Andy opened her eyes and lay face to face with her husband. Her husband and they kissed good morning, before she asked, "Do you have to do that? Can't we just stay in bed all day? This is such a special place for us."
Smiling and moving a stray hair from her face, Nick nodded, "Yeah, it is pretty perfect." He wrapped his arms around her and Andy closed her eyes and rested her head against her husband's chest. "I still feel like I'm the luckiest guy in the world."
"Well, I feel like the luckiest woman in the world!" Andy moved slightly, so that she could see Nick as she whispered, "I wish we could stay here forever. It's just the two of us. It's perfect."
Kissing her, Nick replied, "Andy, no matter where we are, it's always going to be me and you. We're married now and have the rest of our lives together." He saw the look in her eyes, so he added, "I know our jobs are dangerous, which is why we don't take a single second together for granted."
Grinning with a knowing look in her eyes, Andy whispered, "I say yes to that, Mr. Collins! My husband!" She wrapped her arms around his neck and they settled their noses together before they kissed passionately and Nick told her he loved her and that he was so happy that they were married and their worries were soon forgotten as they enjoyed their time together, knowing that every single second was precious and their love for the strongest it had ever been.
