Chapter 20
The next few days passed as normal as anyone could expect. The Taisho family watched the kids a little more strictly than before, but still gave them enough free space to play and not be afraid.
The day was the evening before Christmas Eve, and Sara was trying to convince everyone to go to a party the resort was holding. It was a very high class event for all the business and political influencers that stood to the resort.
With Sara not letting up on how much it'd benefit Sesshomaru everyone reluctantly agreed. As they all readied for the party that evening Sara mentioned she'd be gone for a little while as she had to pick something up from in town.
Just as she tied her scarf around her neck and readied her hand to the knob of the door, it was opened and two very intimidating faces appeared.

Sara stared at the two unfamiliar faces backing up into Sesshomaru.

"Oh we have those two cooped up in a small room. They'll talk soon, they already told us that the third person is actually a SHE not a HE." Koga said as he took his seat pulling Ayame into his lap.
Rin looked to the side and smiled. Looks like she wouldn't have to worry about Sara getting caught after all. With that matter taken care of she could finally start relaxing.

"Well let me know as soon as possible. I've gotten my phones back so make sure and call me with any updates." Sesshomaru walked off as his cell rang with a call he needed to take.

"I can always send my family ahead of me sir if necessary? I have no problem with staying. Kohaku is a very dependable driver I trust him." Miroku said resting his hand on Kohakus shoulder.
"And Mr. Inuyasha and Mrs. Kagome I was kinda wondering if Rin could come to? Rin I don't want to go home without you...and I was wondering? If perhaps you'd like to..." Kohaku struggled with his question. He looked up one last time in Kannas direction and sighed sadly. "If you'd marry me I guess?" Kohaku pulled the ring from his pocket and showed it to her.
Everyone was momentarily caught off guard and than smiled and congratulated the two a little early.

Kohaku looked hurt for a minute and than released a long breath of relief and began chuckling.

And I think you'd like her to! If she'd still talk to me after all this.. I'm sorry Kanna for everything I said. You were right though. I don't love her and I can't force myself to stay with her. She walked inside before he could say anything. Sesshomaru sighed and decided to stay outside to get some air. He leaned forward on the railing as the cool wind blew his long silver hair back.
He flinched lightly when he heard someone walking up behind him.
"Hey." Rin said leaning her back against the same railing.
