Hello everyone! I hope you had a great Christmas! And if you don't celebrate Christmas I hope you had a great 25th! I had a great time with my family celebrating!
Also credit to Victor John Foxfire for some of the ideas featured here.
And I had thought about making this one longer, I felt like the end of it was a good place to stop, so consider this a part one of two, the part two I hope to get out pretty soon!
Also wow! Six reviews on the last chapter! Dang, maybe I should put Leo in even more danger hmm?
I'd like to say that won't happen, but lets not kid ourselves, this is a angsty FNAF fic, of course there are going to be many dangerous situations.
But regardless, thank you guys so much for all the reviews! I loved reading them all!
And speaking of reviews...
SilentAmbiance: ah! Sorry about making you stressed! And haha! no worries! There have been many times where I had no words! I love you review all the same!
Victor John Foxfire: Oh my, your review is probably the longest one I've ever gotten. And I. Love. It. Thank you so much! You're ideas were fantastic! And I will give credit to you! Some of your ideas made it into this chapter, and some of them will make it into the next! And yes, I agree completely about the children being villains, I wanted go by the behavior of the bots from the games a bit, so it came in the form of the children. I can promise you, he will certainly chew them out. I am excited for it actually! As for the toys...well, I certainly have plans for them. :)
Fantom Knight: Aw! Thank you so much! Merry Christmas to you as well!
Luckyshot8: I guess you'll just have to see! :)
TU4QU0I53T4ANG6L3: That is very true, dang I would be straight up petrified in this situation. I certainly do not want to be in Leo's shoes right now. It does seem very unlikely, I agree.
Silverleone: Yeah, no kidding, guy has been through the ringer and back.
I own nothing but my characters.
Chapter 20
Close Call
The sight of their teeth was dizzying enough, but all three sets of them coming at him, nearly made Leo have a heart attack.
There were several deadly seconds that he was completely unable to move, his breath caught in his throat and he stared wide eyed in terror at the sight of all three of them coming for him.
Move you idiot! Move!
The thought that raced through his brain was like a lightning bolt as it shot down through his body. Before he even knew what he was doing Leo used his one uninjured limb to push off the ground and throw himself to the side, he just barely went under Foxy's hook. His tie however didn't fare so well, and he nearly choked as he was jerked back with Foxy's lunge toward his wheelchair.
However, this would be the one and only time he sang praises to Fazbear's cheapness.
The cheap fabric tore with a hiss and he nearly fell face first to the ground, on automatic instinct his hands went out to halt the fall. But this action only resulted in him crying out sharply as pain shot through both of his arms.
"$#$# !" he swore his vision going dark at the corners. There was the sound of crashing behind him and the various creaks and groans of the joints.
"No! No! No fair!" Suzie's voice cried out and Leo spared a glance behind him, they had fallen atop the wheelchair, Foxy and Freddy had fallen atop of Chica with Foxy at the top.
However Leo gave another slight whimper at the destroyed wheelchair, that would cost a fortune to fix…
Stupid children.
Speaking of said children...Leo was jolted to reality again at the sight of Bonnie...or more accurately, Jeremy, who had been staring down at his comrades then turned to look at Leo, only to giggle. Eyes wide and glowing brightly.
"Clever guard!" He cheered and then stepped forward. Leo swore vehemently and scrambled to get to his feet, digging his teeth into his bottom lip to distract from the pain in the rest of his body.
Once to his feet he stumbled toward the office, if he could get in there then he could lock the doors!
Then he could write his will.
The sound of Bonnie's clunking footsteps encouraged the guard to ignore the pain and hurriedly limp toward the office, it felt like the slowest race ever, and Leo was cursing the whole way. He swore, and swore through his breaths and now his bleeding lip.
"Get off me you oaf!" Suzie yelled and the sound of crashing came from behind him, but Leo didn't want to turn and look.
The office, the office was all he cared about.
Every step on his broken leg caused a rush of pain to shoot through his body making tears spark in his eyes.
"Stop running! This isn't fun!" Jeremy called from behind him in a whiny tone, Leo wanted to turn around and punch that psychotic kid, but he knew that would not end well.
"No chance in %#%$!" He yelled in return, the door was within his sights now, he dared to look back, only to find Jeremy not far behind, and not far behind him…
Oh ^&$%^...
Fritz, in control of Foxy, jerked suddenly to face Leo, his glowing yellow eye focused on the guard. He opened his maw and grinned at Leo before lurching forward suddenly. Leo didn't have time to take note of where Suzie and Gabriel were, the loud thunking of Fritz's feet pounding against the floors became the only thing Leo's ears tuned into.
The guard reached out and grabbed the doorframe with his broken arm hand, trying to pull himself inside.
Only for a hook to latch onto the collar of his shirt and yank him backwards.
With a cry, as pain shot through his arm, Leo fell back onto the ground. In an instant, the back of his head hit the ground and his world spiraled out of control above him.
The pain radiated through his body like a wave, and reflectively his back arched. A cry escaped his mouth and he dropped to the ground with a hard breath, gasping and trying to push himself up, but the bandages caused him to slip on the clean floors.
He was going to have words with Jack about this.
That was the plan, but it didn't seem to be going over well.
Aside from the slipping, Leo soon found himself fighting against his own body, there were splotches and cloudiness all over his sight, and waves of nausea hit him over and over again. It wasn't long before he was dry retching and coughing up bile, turned slightly on his side.
However, he was slammed onto his back soon after as a large purple rabbit foot came down hard onto the side of his chest.
Leo let out a yelp and gasped desperately to return the air that had been knocked out of him. He could no longer feel the pain, but he wasn't sure if that was a good thing or not…
Fritz soon came into his line of sight, and leaned over the lone human with a low chuckle. Jeremy soon leaned in as well causing Leo to flinch away and try to move away from both animatronics. But all his hands did was slip on the floors.
"Looks like you lost our little raaace!" Jeremy singsonged, but Leo barely acknowledged him as he desperately continued his attempts at fleeing. But his arms were practically useless.
"Can we have fun now!? Can we make him like us now!?" Fritz asked, hopping on his feet, making the joints creak and groan in a way that Leo knew wasn't good.
However his attention was not on Fritz's joints, but rather his words, "WHAT!? No! No! You can't!" He tried to push himself up using his uncasted arm, only for Jeremy to put a foot onto his chest and press down a bit. Leo cried out and collapsed onto the ground again as his body was pressed against the floor by a weight that could easily crush him.
He groaned, pain erupting from his chest, and overshadowing that of his arms and leg, he cursed heavily in a string, groaning hard as he struggled to breathe. Even trying to push Jeremy's foot off him with his hands, which, as one would imagine.
It wasn't going very well.
"Jeremy! Get off me!" He cried, panting hard and struggling to breathe, the weight only seemed to increase as the child giggled again, highly amused by this whole situation.
"But you lie! You cheat! Why shouldn't we take you out!? You are just like all the other adults!" He protested and Leo could only cry out sharply as he felt, and heard one of his rips snap.
It sounded like a twig…
"I'M NOT I'M NOT I SWEAR!" He screamed, his good leg trying to kick the bunny, but failing, his bad one even tried, but that went over as well as the first did. He felt his face grow wet, and he didn't care at this point if it were tears.
Fritz crouched down next to him and put his hook right up to Leo's face causing the guard to look at him and heave heavily and desperately.
"F...Fr...Fri...Fritz..." he tried, stumbling through his words. Only for the last word to end with Fritz's hook landing inside his mouth. Leo's eyes widened as he stared up at the fox who grinned down at him.
The hook was inside of his mouth, and with a slight move of his arm, Fritz was able to move around the guard's head.
Leo made noises of protest but couldn't form any coherent words. However, the yelp that came out of his mouth was very clear as the point of the hook started pressing against the inside of Leo's cheek.
"Humans...they are so fragile..." The fox giggled, pressing the point further in causing Leo to taste blood. Fritz tilted his head smirking at him. "We can make you strong like us...don't you want that…?"
All Leo could do was give an indignant noise, but it came out as more of a terrified strangled noise, how was it that Fritz was creepier than Jeremy?!
The clunking of other footsteps was barely heard, but Leo could soon see an angry Gabriel and Suzie.
That's when he realized that this was it. This was the end. There was no way he was going to get out of this.
Even as he struggled to push off Jeremy's foot, Fritz's hook was ever growing closer to piercing through his cheek.
There was the sound of Freddy's laugh, as Leo was slowly glowing blind with pain and lack of air.
His kicks were growing weaker and slower, breathing was becoming harder, and his vision was growing darker by the second.
The strangled noises that came from him slowly died away and choked coughing replaced it. Leo could almost feel the conscious realm...could almost feel life slipping from his fingers.
...and then it stopped.
The pressure lifted from his chest and the hook disappeared from his mouth. He choked on air, inhaling desperately as he sat up, the blurry world slowly began to clear up and he heaved for whatever air he could get. His body buzzed with pain, returning from the numb state he had been drifting into.
There were several seconds of him just grabbing a hold of the living realm like a koala grabbing a tree. He choked on air gasping desperately and spitting out blood from his mouth. When things finally cleared, he jerked back and scrambled further back again. There was another animatronic there. This one had no eyes, he slumped over head lulled over his shoulder.
"Wh...what..." he rasped out pushing himself back more until he hit a wall.
His eyes flickered up to the other animatronics, only to find them staring at the new one blankly. Eyes glowing brilliantly. The guard swallowed and turned back to the new one. He...it...whatever it was, it was a bear like Freddy, but it had a more yellow tint to it's fur then the leader of the foursome.
It did not move, but Leo felt strange even looking at it, like it wasn't supposed to be there.
There were moments of just the sound of Leo heaving for breath. Until that was even broken by the guard spitting up blood and retching up whatever was left in his stomach.
Not that there was much at all.
When he recovered and turned to look at the new animatronic...it was gone.
Leo wasn't sure if he was hallucinating in pain, or something else, but he didn't really care about that right now. What he cared about was the four statues like animatronics around him.
Their eyes were no longer glowing.
He slowly sat up and gazed at them, this was similar to how they acted before when the children were worn out. Is that what happened here?
If so...what was that other bear?
The sound of gears and joints groaning and moving made Leo tense up and look between all four of the animatronics. He sat silently taking deep breaths and doing his best to stay quiet.
Freddy was the first to fully power on, he stood up and looked around before finally spotting Leo.
"Leo?" He looked concerned, and probably for good reason, Leo felt awful.
"Y...you guys back to normal…?" he asked stupidly, of course they were, Freddy was talking instead of attacking.
"Yeah...I think so." The bear was looking over him, seemingly evaluating his injuries, but Leo was too tired and hysterical to care.
"Okay...okay...well...I uh...I'm just...I'm just...gonna go...it's past six now...and..." he trailed pushing himself up, only to collapse again with a sharp cry of pain. Try as he might, without the adrenaline rush, there was no way his body was complying anymore.
His cry seems to have woken the other three animatronics. Because now all of them were hovering near. Leo couldn't help but look up at them cross eyed.
"So big..." He slurred stupidly and lay back on the ground again, his chest hurting too much to sit up comfortably.
"Who did this?" Foxy suddenly demanded looking at everyone. The bots could only look at each other.
"Immanottellin..." Leo slurred feeling the world grow blurry. He let out soft breaths and his eyes started slipping closed. "Imma….imma gonna sleep..."
Vaguely he heard the sound of the others, but it was like a distant noise as cotton balls filled his ears and shut out the world around him.
Then everything went black.
"...is he...dead?" Foxy's question broke the silence that had fallen over them at the sight of Leo going unconscious. He glanced at his comrades before back down at the night guard.
"No he isn't, idiot." The rabbit growled ears pulled back, his eyes never leaving the guard.
"Sheesh. Someone's in a mood." The fox mumbled in return, his own ears pulled back.
"I don't think it's the right time to be talking about death when Leo could've..." The lagomorph trailed, turning back to look at the Fox.
"Both of you, this isn't the time." Freddy said speaking up for the first time in a bit.
"Yeah! Leo just passed out! We don't know what the kids did to him!" Chica said stepping forward slightly.
"Right...you guys are right." Bonnie took a breath and stood up. "Should we have the cleaners take him to the hospital?"
"He doesn't like the hospital." Chica pointed out, but Freddy shook his head in response.
"That doesn't matter, he is in much worse condition than before. Obviously the kids did something. We don't even know if he is internally bleeding." He countered, and they all looked at him confused. "What?"
"Err, how do ya know that Fred?" Foxy asked one ear and eyebrow raised.
"Oh, well there have been plenty of ambulances here over the years, EMT and such. They spout off a lot, if you pay attention you can pick some things up." At his explanation they looked over him and then at each other.
"I just...try to ignore them." Chica voiced fidgeting in her spot, "I don't want to think about what we did to them."
"Jeremy likes to explain it to me." Bonnie was looking to the stage, likely wanting his guitar.
"I'm...well in the cove." Foxy finished with a shrug.
"Well, I usually listen." The bear explained before turning back to Leo. "But regardless, I think he should go to the hospital." There was a beat of silence following that.
"...he...he looks really bad." Chica whispered finally, the others looked at her before back at their guard.
"Yeah, but he is alive, that's what matters." Bonnie said with a mock breath.
"This time! What about the next? Or the one after that?!" Chica demanded turning to look between them all quickly, she then motioned to Leo. "He is broken! In case you haven't noticed!" She let her shoulders drop, "he...he couldn't even get up guys." She motioned behind her to his wheelchair, "we...they...they busted up his wheelchair." That part was a bit more of a whisper, "is...it even okay anymore to let him come here?"
"It's not like we could stop him, the lad Jamie has tried multiple times to no avail." Foxy interjected pointedly.
"But we are feeding into him coming here...we want him here and he knows that! Of course he will keep coming back! He is wanting to give us what we want!" She continued, there was another beat of silence.
"I think you may be giving him too much credit Chica." Bonnie muttered, "this is his job."
"And I think you give him too little credit!" She countered, and put her hands on her hips, "why the %^#$% would he keep coming back after being hurt like this if he didn't care?" She mocked a breath, "he cares about us. I know he does."
"...if he cared, why would he lie?" The rabbit asked in a voice barely audible to the rest of them. But all of them heard it and turned toward him.
"It was because he cared that he lied to us Bonnie. He wanted to figure out how to best address the situation." Freddy pointed out, Bonnie looked to the side and mocked a breath.
"He could've told us! Now we only have two days before those blasted plastic %$%#%$ come." He growled out, the gears and joints in his endoskeleton groaning as he tensed.
"Look, we will discuss this later! Leo needs to get to the hospital, we can talk to him about it when he gets back. Okay?" Chica said pointedly looking at all of them. One by one they nodded, Bonnie being the last.
"Right, yes, okay, who has the most human-like voice so we can call the ambulance?" Freddy asked, and they all looked at each other.
"I think Bo-"
Chica was cut off by the ring of the door and all four of them looked to it. There was Jack and the other two cleaners.
"%$ $#." Foxy cursed before sprinting to the cove, the others scrambled to get back on stage. Luckily the windows were tinted and the rising sun reflected off them.
By time the door opened all the way everyone was back in their appropriate places. The three on stage watched as Jack entered the room looking around.
"Hey night-guard! I got you an extra pack today, Jamie said you were in pain yesterday so I-" he stopped suddenly as he caught sight of Leo on the ground with his demolished wheelchair. "%$%#%..." he trailed before dropping what was in his hands and running over. He got on his knees next to the guard as the other two entered, they however looked more resigned then alarmed. Jack checked over his pulse and visibly sagged in relief.
"Jack?" The female cleaner named Janet asked, Jack took a breath and turned to look back at her.
"He's alive, but his pulse is weak, can you call the ambulance? I don't think my car is fast enough." At his request, she nodded and pulled out a flip phone, dialing and walking outside.
Roman, the other cleaner came up behind Jack and gazed down at the cleaner. The older man drank from a flask as he gazed down at the considerably smaller man below him.
"I'm surprised they spared him." He muttered before casting his eyes up to the animatronics on stage. Bonnie had to resist the urge to glare at the man.
He had never liked Roman.
"Yeah, well this is a bit concerning." Jack took a breath turning to look up at the older employee. "This along with the whole biting incident...you think they are trying to get rid of him again?" The blond turned to look at them as they all did their best to gaze ahead unmoving. "That they are getting tired of him?"
"Possibly." Roman took another swig from his flask and added a breath after that. "^%#%$$% are the spawns of %$%$ itself." He muttered gazing up at them from under his brows, his hair that was usually combed back nicely was fallen over his face, and darker circles than usual resided beneath his eyes.
"Yeah...it's just…I dunno, I guess I hoped they had calmed down or something." Jack turned and looked down at the unconscious guard.
"It doesn't work like that boy. Once murderers. Always murderers." He turned and looked down at the youngest cleaner. "You don't just grow out of it."
The blond let out a breath, his shoulders sagging, "yeah, I guess I just hoped to never have to use that blasted shovel again." He muttered before getting to his feet and turning to look back at Janet as she entered.
"They are on their way." She put her phone in her pocket, "this guy has been to the hospital so much they already knew who I was calling about." She shook her head and went to the closet with the cleaning supplies, "guy is %#%%$ insane, you couldn't pay me a million dollars to work that cursed night shift." She looked through the shelves before turning to them, "you guys seen the stuff that gets rid of blood stains?"
I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter!
What did you think of the children? How would you have reacted in that situation? Also what did you think of the appearance of Golden Freddy? This won't be the last time you guys see the bear! And I don't think I've ever asked it, but what do you guys think of Jack? Or the other two cleaners?
Happy New Year everyone! (And for those who don't celebrate it...happy January!)
