No Heart

Eddie was in the hands of someone who would protect him with a powerful celestial light. I realized I had no power to get him. But I was in no hurry. I would have waited. The end would have been the same. I would have waited. Soon, my successor would be in my hands. All I needed to do was wait. Simple as that. But first, buisness was in order.

I went to my tower. The Central Principal Office of Techno City and there in the board meeting were the gangsters. Wolfsheim was among them, as well as a few others. The Mayor of Techno City was there too, sitting on his gold chair sipping coffee. He was man who looked like a gangster. In fact, you saw this room, one would think he was another mafia boss.

"Gentlemen, I am glad to have you all here together at last." I said aloud.

"Make it fast demon. I have an errand to run. A new shipment of cocaine is coming soon." said a crime boss.

"Patience man. Patience. You wouldn't want to piss off our benefactor." said Wolfsheim smoking a large cigar.

I began to chuckle. "You called me a demon? Fool. I'm ABOVE that. You don't realize who I am? I am the blackness of your very soul! I am hatred. I am evil. I am suffering. I am husband to death itself! I am the king of kings! I am NO HEART!" I declared theatrically, scaring the gangster as I was face to face with him. The man looked deep into my eyes in fright. Not that I could blame him. My face was nothing but pitch black as night and only my eyes glowed from underneath the hood.

"My good man, pray tell what is this meeting going to be about?" asked Wolfsheim.

"I'm glad you asked. You see everyone... the city is getting worse and worse. Your petty fights are making my streets run red with blood. I know the fighting takes place in the slums and in the poor districts of the city. That's fine, I don't really care. But what I mean is the RICH side of town. I have heard from a reliable source that two gang members from two sides began to fight in the Royal Banquet Casino. There was a shooting and apparently a few people have died. That does not look good in my report." I sneered.

Everyone's faces were stone cold. But not as much as two of the gang leaders. I smiled at them, although they don't see my smile. Instead, I spoke. "If I catch two members fight again, I'll rip both your heads and put them on spikes in the slums." I threatened.

The gang leaders put their heads down like kids and I cackled.

"Gentleman, there is also another thing that has come to mind. There are a lot of protestors out there demanding for a better tomorrow. You have my permission to do what you will. As long as the fights are not in Royal Banquet Casino. That I do ask." I said.

The gang leaders nodded and agreed. I then sat on my chair and looked at the mayor.

"How come the number of protestors against you have grown for the past few days?" asked No Heart.

"I don't know. People just want to get offended for things I do. They don't understand that rich folks like us live a life of luxury and far from the poorest of the poor. I did piss once from the top of the building against protestors." said the mayor.

"Disgusting." I said aloud.

"Of course it is. I had fun doing it." said the mayor.

"Need I remind you that you must keep Techno City under control? I have been hearing whispers that the Care Bears have somehow melded in the city. One way or another, their insignificant light has survived. And just the other day, I managed to get one out of hiding." I said.

I could hear the gang leaders whisper to one another in fright. To them, they think the Care Bears are like angelic beings with long swords and powerful shields. They have no idea that they are silly little toy bears, but I kept it that way to control them. They belive them to be God's judges or something like that. I used this to my favor.

"They must not appear now. I cannot go to Hell!" cried one gang leader, holding a cross necklace for all to see.

"Relax. The Care Bears are not going after you... yet. As long as you all keep the city under control. Soon I will get them all out of hiding, and when I do, I will unleash a powerful storm upon them all." I said.

"That's our No Heart." said Wolfsheim.

"Let's all be patient fools. Oh, one last thing... Mayor come to me." I commanded.

The mayor walked towards me and I looked at him deep in the eyes.

"Do another stunt like that again, I'll throw you over the building and feed your carcass to the protestors. Do you understand?" I said.

I could have sworn the man wet his pants in my presence. He nodded his head and I laughed ever so vile.

I left the building where I was and walked towards my own special hideout. Since I own the city, I opened a casino under my name. The Royal Banquet Casino. It was in the wealthiest part of Techno City and I went there to greet my very special guest.

I went inside my office which was decorated with gothic window drapes, a couldron to remind me of my old fortress and a large painting of yours truly next to my shelf of spell books. And on the center of my office was a small cage with Funshine Bear. The dreaded thing looked like he was about to be skinned and ready to die. Oh how I wished to carve out it's stomach symbol burn the rest of him in my cauldron. But I held on to myself. Instead, my hatred grew ever so beautifully as I sat on a chair and looked at Funshine.

"Why did the chicken cross the road?" asked Funshine suddendly.

"To get to the other side." I said, trying to finish the joke quickly.

"Wrong. It crossed to get away from your ugly self." said Funshine.

"Your joke was poor in taste." I said.

"What do you want?" asked Funshine.

"I want what I wanted since the beginning. To destroy all the caring and love in the world." I said.

"There's so much more to you than that. There's something else." said Funshine.

"What do you know? Your just a side character in a large group of baby toys. No Funshine, you are nothing to me. The big prize would have been Tender Heart, Cheer Bear, or either Noble Heart and True Heart. But no. I ended up with you because you were the weakest." I said.

"Leave those boys alone. They have done nothing to you." said Funshine.

"Oh, but you don't understand. I'm getting very old Funshine. I'm about to get weak in time. I'm still practically human like. If I were to grow weak, I will need a stronger body to continue." I said.

"You want to posses the boy!" cried Funshine.

"No. I want my legacy to live on forever. No Heart is a title passed on to generations. I'm the first to ever suceed in taking over a city, blocking all the light of the world, and I finally defeated you and the other animals! All I need now is to find my successor and No Heart shall continue to be immortal." I said aloud.

"The boy won't fall for you. He will never be like you." said Funshine.

"You felt it didn't you? When you rescued him... did you not see the large amount of Dark Impulse that boy has?" I asked.

Funshine looked at me as if I caught him with his hands in the cookie jar. He knew exactly what I was talking about.

"Yes, you know. You know. You know. There is a large chunk of dark impulse in that boy. You may not know it, but he poisoned a man out of anger and revenge when he was younger. Sure he regrets doing that, and he wishes to forget that ever happened, but he can't cover that up. He killed someone!" I said.

"Lies!" cried Funshine.

"He killed. And what's more... he even enjoys his time in bed with people. Perhaps you don't know this, but he prostituted himself many times! And guess what?! I can feel the joy coming from his heart! He enjoys the sex! He enjoys the feeling of a person's flesh!" I cried.

"More lies!" cried Funshine.

"Your too ignorant and naive! He does that and he enjoys!" I cried.

Just then, I heard a voice coming from the walls of my office. A very irritable voice I had wished to not even think about.

"He did all that to feed his brother. He has sinned, but he does not know better."

Cheer Bear and Wish Bear appeard in my office, holding their paws together, and they were looking up at me with scowls. They were also growling like little demons straight from hell.

"You two will not leave here alive. Once I kill at least one of you, I'll have one less Care Bear to worry about." I said.

"Care Bear stare!" cried Cheer Bear and Wish Bear. Their infernal light beamed out and hit me against the wall of my office, leaving a terrible mark. Wish Bear ran towards Funshine's cage and she tried to unlock it herself. She gave up and she closed her eyes as if to say a prayer. Just then, one of those stupid little stars with the creepy faces appeared and helped Wish Bear release Funshine from the cage.

"Run!" cried Cheer Bear. I stood up and I closed the doors with my hands.

"This office is mine. I am invincible here!" I cried.

Just then, another beam of light appeared, this time from the awful cracks of my office. I opened my eyes to see Champ Bear and Grumpy Bear there.

"C'mon! Let's go Sports Fans!" cried Champ.

I stood up angrily. "YOU"LL ALL PAY! AND AFTER I MAKE THAT BOY MINE, THE LEGACY WILL IIVE ON AND I WILL SEE YOU ALL IN HELL! YOU HEAR ME! IN HELL! WITH A CAPITAL H!"

I was very angry that day. I will never forget how loud I screamed. But no matter. Soon Eddie will fall into my clutches and the story of No Heart will continue. I knew I was going to win. This was my story. I am the champion!
