Welcome everyone to yet another chapter of The Ultra 10 Chronicles! This week we've hit over eleven hundred views! That's pretty awesome, folks! Almost 20 favorites, and 12 follows! Thank you so much for the time you take to read this story, it is really amazing the amount of interaction that I've gotten already! Way to go!
There is a pretty intense fight scene in this chapter, which includes a bit of gore, as well as an instance of choice language. (Just a warning: As Ben grows older and becomes more battle-hardened, he will use swear words a bit more often. However, I am still going to keep it to the slightly milder words. So no G-D or F-k, or that stuff.)
The gore is in the paragraph starting with, "Agent 38 came to his senses..." There are a couple of cases of choice words too. The first one is in the paragraph after, "Team 2 destroyed. Repeat, Team 2..." The second one is in the paragraph that starts with, "His name is Six-Six..."
Remember when I said that I'd slip in pop-culture references from time to time? Well I slipped one into this chapter. It is from an old video-game, see if you can pick it out! (P.S. The game has something to do with Star Wars...)
The Ultra 10 Chronicles: Volume 1: The Beginnings of Ultra 10
Chapter 20: A Secret Shared
Ben rushed towards Six-Six, forming his crystal arms into sharp blades, prepared to incapacitate or finish the alien. Lucky Girl was quickly following him, her hands glowing with mana, ready to be unleashed.
"Who are you?" Ben demanded of the alien. "And why did you attack me?" He lowered his bladed arm to hover mere inches away from Six-Six's face. The alien didn't answer him, not in English anyway, but instead made a sound that was some mix between a growl, a series of clicks, and a woop. It raised one of its arms towards Ben, almost like it was trying to surrender. Ben slowly lowered his arm from the alien's face.
All of a sudden, a third arm sprouted from the alien's shoulder, and threw a small spherical ball at him. The grenade exploded, sending both DiamondHead and Six-Six in opposite directions.
"Ahh!" Ben shouted, as he flew several feet into the air, before falling flat on his back. His suit was scorched, but it protected him, only a few cracks showing through in his crystalline form. Six-Six landed on his feet, and drew several blasters from his hips, firing them at Ben.
"Brisingo infernum!" Lucky Girl shouted, as blue fire shot from her hands, wrapping around Six-Six. He connected his two blasters together, and fired a sonic blast at her, blowing flames and sparks in her direction.
"Ah!" She screamed, as she recoiled from the flames.
"HeatBlast!" Ben shouted, and immediately redirected the flames towards Six-Six.
"What's our ETA?" Agent 10 demanded from the driver.
"We will arrive in sixty seconds," the driver said.
"We have four tanks en route from the arsenal. Their ETA is two minutes," the copilot added.
"Sir, we just got identification on the ship!" Agent 44 spoke remotely into Agent 10's communicator. "It is registered to an intergalactic bounty hunter named Six-Six. A Sotoraggian, take extreme caution."
"Thanks, Agent," Agent 10 said. He knew that the same information was now being played over the communicators of his entire team.
"Alright, listen up!" Agent 10 addressed the team. "As you know, we are going up against Six-Six. We don't know why he's here, or how much firepower he's packin'. But that doesn't matter. Our job is to take him down, and take him into custody as quickly as possible. We want him alive, but be prepared to kill if necessary. Transport vehicle 1 will serve as Team 1. Their job will be to confront Six-Six, and to bring him down. Transport 2 will be Team 2. They will work with the tanks incoming to breech his ship. Any questions?" There was a brief moment of silence.
"We arrive in just a few seconds, be prepared!" At that moment, the cargo light flicked on. "Red light!" The van jumped the curb into the park. It drove a few paces, swerving between trees, still traveling thirty miles an hour. Finally it pulled up to a clearing where Ultra 10 and Lucky Girl were holding their own against the bounty Hunter.
"Green Light! Go!" The van door slid open, and all thirteen members of the team poured out, laying down fire on Six-Six.
Transport Vehicle 2, a moment before
"Red Light!" Agent 38 shouted. The other twelve agents readied their weapons. The van entered the woods, heading towards the GPS marker, indicating where the ship had landed. A second or two later, the ship was in sight.
The ship noticed the transport ban heading towards it. It whirled to life, with a cannon mounted on the top spinning around to aim at the quickly approaching vehicle.
"Evasive maneuvers!" Agent 38 shouted. It was too late. The cannon powered up and shot at the vehicle. The van door slid open, as several agents dove out. The laser blast passed through the front of the vehicle, obliterating the driver and the copilot. In an instant, the vehicle was transformed into a fiery shell of a van, with multiple agents obliterated.
Agent 38 came to his senses. He was lying on the ground, blood spilling out from an open wound. No, more than a wound. He looked down where his legs should have been, confused as to why they were missing. He fumbled for his communicator, his training being the only thing keeping him somewhat conscious.
"Team 2 destroyed," he gasped out. "Repeat, Team 2…" He dropped the comm as his world went black.
Agent 10 shot several blasts at Six-Six. On his wrist, his communicator beeped.
"Team 2 destroyed. Repeat, Team 2…" The transmission cut out.
'Shit!' Agent 10 swore in his head.
"Squad 2! You are redeployed to protect the tanks!" He shouted into his headset.
"Acknowledged! Breaking off!" The team lead replied. A half-dozen agents stoped firing at Six-Six, and ran off into the forrest.
"This is Agent 10!" Max spoke into his Comm Link. "Requesting additional firepower! Requesting two additional tanks!"
"Request acknowledged," a voice spoke back. "Two additional tanks are deployed and en route." With that, Agent 10 turned back to the matter at hand.
"Surround him!" He shouted into his headset. "Flank the bounty hunter and take him down!"
Ben shot a ball of fire at the alien, it exploding in a shower of sparks against his armor. Lucky Girl was quick with the follow-up.
"Bombarda!" She shouted, as several explosions rocketed the alien backwards. However, the alien was quick to fire several laser blasts at her.
"Wall!" She shouted, as a wall of mana materialized just in time to deflect the blasts. Out of the corner of his eye, Ben saw a van pull up, and a dozen or so heavily armored soldiers jumped out.
"Oh, come on! Where do these enemies keep going from?" He got ready to summon a wall of flames to separate them from the newly arrived soldiers when he got a pleasant surprise. The soldiers started laying down fire, but they were aimed at the alien, not him or Lucky Girl.
"Boo-yeah!" Ben cheered, as he turned around again to face off against the now-heavily outnumbered alien. The battle was finally appearing to be winnable! He shot another fiery ball at Six-Six, who took the blow full on. The alien flew several feet backwards, being showered by the laser blasts from the soldiers' weapons.
All of a sudden, about half of the soldiers broke off, heading off into the forest. Ben gritted his teeth. It would be a bit harder with less firepower.
"I guess that I'll just have to adapt!" He grumbled, as he hit the badge. "StinkFly!" He shouted as he emerged from the green light. He immediately shot a blast of stinky goop at the alien, completely covering him with the chemical. A burst of laser fire ignited the goop, it now acting like a sticky grenade. The alien again went flying through the air, landing hard onto the ground.
Squad 2 arrived just as the tanks were rolling into position. They fired off their first barrage at the ship, landing several good hits. A second barrage fired, and then a third. Then a fourth. Within a short amount of time, the ship was reduced to rubble, with large craters in the ground surrounding where the ship had been.
"Get those tanks out of here!" The squad lead ordered. "We have to clean this place up before the civil government arrives! And get some techs on that computer!"
"Right away, sir!" An agent saluted before he relayed an order to a subordinate. The tanks started to be packed away into their semi-trucks and hauled out of the park. Several other delivery trucks arrived with dirt, grass, bushes, trees, and everything else that was necessary to repair the park. B-class agents quickly hopped out and started spreading the dirt and turf, working at record speed.
"Technician! What do you have to report?" Agent 22 demanded.
"We've just bypassed the ship's security," the agent responded. "We've downloaded about twenty-five percent of the data."
"Speed it up," Agent 22 demanded. "I want to have something to report to Agent 10 within a minute!"
"Aye, sir!" The technician slightly let his accent slip. "Downloadin' the specs to your comm now, sir!" Agent 22 glanced at his communicator, highlighting the important data before sending it to Agent 10.
'It appears that he was hired by Vilgax, cause isn't known, probably to retrieve some sort of weapon.' Agent sent the data file to his superior.
"Alright, we move out in thirty seconds!" He shouted at the operation. On his comm link, he contacted Max.
"Agent 10, sir! We've taken out the ship, and recovered the data files I just sent you. We have collected Team 2's remains, and have covered the scene."
"Very good, agent! We are wrapping up over here, and will meet up with your squad back at base."
"Sir, yes sir!" The communication ended.
Agent 10 ended the call and turned his attention back to the task at hand.
"Restrain the Bounty Hunter!" He ordered of his team. They were quick to oblige, already wrestling the alien down. A pair of electro-stasis handcuffs were produced, and forced onto his wrists and ankles.
"Load him up, and ready the transports!" Agent 10 turned around to see a boy wearing a black and white suit approach him, followed by a girl wearing a cat disguise.
"Hey! Glad you guys came in clutch!" The boy greeted. "But who are you guys anyway?"
"Ultra 10, I am Agent 10 of the PLUMMER Agency."
"How did you know…"
"We've been keeping a track on you and Lucky Girl here."
"Hey!" She protested.
"You have no need to worry. We don't know your identities, and aren't sure that it is entirely necessary," Agent 10 responded. "Thank you for your help, but we've got to get the subject confined…"
"Not so fast," Ultra 10 said, slightly threateningly. "Where are you taking him?"
"Where we take all the aliens and dangerous creatures that threaten the Earth," Agent 10 said vaguely. "It's safe, you can be sure of that. But meanwhile, I've got a proposal for the both of you."
"We're all ears," Lucky Girl said. Ultra 10 nodded in agreement.
"It's our job to take down dangerous threats to Earth, and we've seen that the both of you would be great allies," Agent 10 started. "I'd like to propose that we work together."
"What do you mean, work together?" Ultra 10 asked suspiciously.
"That we work in coordination. We have already been doing this, unknown to you, for some time. The fight with Dr. Aloysius Animo in this park some time ago? The robotic drone that you both took out on different occasions? The two of you are our heavy hitters, and we'll come in and clean up the mess. You'll have comm links to contact us." Agent 10 extended two communicators. The two took them and weighed them in their hands for a moment.
"What do you know about this guy?" Ultra asked.
"His name is Six-Six. He's an alien Bounty Hunter, hired by a powerful alien called Vilgax. A mean alien warlord who is one helluva fighter."
"Why did he attack me?" Ultra 10 asked.
"We're still working on that. We think it is because Vilgax views you as a threat. That's both an honor and a curse," Agent 10 sighed. "But with his Bounty Hunter taken down, we shouldn't have to worry about him for a while, hopefully for good!" Ben again weighed the communicator in his hand.
"I don't know," Ultra 10 said. "We'll need some time to think before we make a decision." He offered them back.
"Keep them, they are a gift," Agent 10 said, refusing to take back the communicators. "Take it as a show of good faith. If you need some back up, call us, we'll be there. But no obligation from you. You don't need to become agents, or get registered."
"Just like that?" Lucky Girl asked.
"Just like that. No strings attached. You need help, we'll be there." Agent 10 gave them a quick salute. "If I may say so, the civilian law enforcement will be here in approximately thirty seconds, and my team is ready to go. I suggest you two get lost too." With that, he stepped into the nearest transport vehicle and took off. Ben looked at Lucky Girl. Just as the van was pulling away, they both started to hear sirens in the distance.
"I guess that we'd better run off, then." He raised his wrist and slammed down on the watch. "Accelerate!" He shouted as he ran off.
"Psh! Show off!" Gwen teased. She sat crossed legged on the ground. "Locum teleportae domus!" Smoke encircled her, and in another moment she was gone, having teleported home. Several police cars pulled up, with the officers quickly stepping out to survey the scene.
Ben raced towards Julie's apartment, to get looked over and get any needed repairs to his suit. He pulled up outside and detransformed before heading up the stairs and knocking on her door. Julie answered on the third knock.
"Come in," she said, stepping to the side to let Ben in.
"Thanks," he said, entering her apartment. He made his way to the couch, taking off his mask. His suit folded up into its container, which Ben put into his pocket.
"What does the damage look like today?" Julie asked, as she came over to look over Ben.
"I think that my transformations pretty well protected me from the worst of it," Ben said. "Still, I feel pretty bruised up…"
"You look it too," Julie said. She handed Ben several painkillers and walked into the kitchen to get him a cup of water. "I didn't see any bad cuts. A couple of scrapes, but mostly bruises here and there." She handed Ben the cup.
"Thanks," Ben said. Julie nodded.
"So the communicator cut out for a bit there, who were you talking with?"
"Some guy. Goes by Agent 10," Ben said. "He was with some organization. Called themselves electricians, or plumbers or something. Have you ever heard of them?"
"No, I can't say that I have. But it'll be something for the database. What do you know about them?"
"They said that they were a governmental organization. Agent 10 said that it was their job to protect the Earth, or something. He wanted to team up."
"Really?" Julie asked. "I'm not sure that is the best idea, at least until we know more about them."
"That was my thoughts too. We don't know anything about them, and they could be bad guys doin their homework before taking over the world or something."
"You're kinda sounding like Cooper there," Julie remarked. Ben just shrugged his shoulders.
"It's possible. Heck, it probably wouldn't be the craziest thing we ever experience, at least in our line of work…"
"You've got a point there. Anything else?" Ben nodded.
"Agent 10 gave Lucky Girl and I these communicators," Ben pulled the comm link out of his pocket and handed it to Julie. "Said that they were a gift, regardless if we use them or not."
"Hmm," Julie looked it over. "Technology isn't my strong suit, I'll have to have Cooper take a look at it. Make sure that it's not bugged or something. Did Agent 10 tell you how to use it?"
"Yeah. Just call if we need back up. They'd show up. He said that his organization had already been cleaning up after us. Like the drone I fought, and then Lucky Girl later fought. Or the fight with Animo."
"That very well could be true. I was wondering why there wasn't a police report about those things. Agent 10 could very well be telling us the truth." She shrugged before giving the communicator back to Ben. "Any information about who that guy was that attacked you?"
"A little," Ben admitted. "Agent 10 said that he was some bounty hunter named Six-Six. Didn't know if that was a name or a rank or something. Said that he worked for a big, bad alien in the sky named Vilgax."
"So how would this Vilgax know who you are, let alone want to kill you?" Julie asked.
"Beats me," Ben shrugged. "But as for now, Six-Six is in prison with the plumbers, and Vilgax is out of the picture."
"If this 'Vilgax' actually exists, why wouldn't he just come after you himself?" Ben shrugged again. "So many questions unanswered. But I guess that the answers will come in time. You need a ride?" Ben nodded.
"Yeah, I kinda switched between a lot of transformations, so the watch is probably going to be in the red for some time. A ride would be nice."
"Go ahead and get into my car, I'll be down there in a minute to take you home," Julie handed Ben her keys. "I've just got to grab a few things before we head out." Ben nodded, and headed towards Julie's garage.
Gwen's house
Gwen stepped through her portal and arrived outside of her house. It was dark out, but her magic casted little light, making it easy for Gwen to stay hidden. She took off her mask and headed inside, and up to her room. Once in there, she sat crossed-legged on the floor.
"Arcamada, Book of Spells, I call for you!" She called. Mist swirled around her hands, the book materializing before her. She was getting very exhausted from casting so many spells in so short of a time. But she only had one more that she had to cast, and this one was one of the easier ones. She flipped through the book until she found the one she was looking for. After reading the instructions carefully, she set it down and started her chant.
"Anima apparitia duo teleportum!" Gwen muttered. The air in front of her shimmered, as the ghost-like figures of two girls appeared in front of her. They were translucent and faded, but Gwen still recognized them.
"Gwen? How did you get into my room? And how is Maddi here?" Ellie asked, confused.
"From where I'm at, you two are at my house!" Maddi said.
"Calm down! The emotion is straining the connection," Gwen chided them. "I am connecting the three of us on the astral plane. From my perspective, you both are in my room."
"Questions about that later," Ellie said. "So why have you summoned us?"
"Just to bring the both of you up to speed," Gwen said. "I fought with Ultra tonight."
"Wait, what?" Maddi asked, obviously confused.
"Sorry, I meant that we fought together tonight," Gwen clarified. "Against some alien hitman. He was called Six-Six."
"Okay," Maddi said. "So that's it?"
"Kinda…" Gwen continued. "Some heavily armored guys showed up and saved our butts. Said that they were with an organization called the PLUMMERs. And I don't think that it was my first encounter with the PLUMMERs."
"Alright, girl," Ellie said. "Spill." Maddi nodded her head in agreement. Gwen took a deep breath before continuing.
"Its a long story, but here's the cliff notes…"
The next day
Ben woke up to the sound of his phone vibrating.
'Hey Ben. There's something that I need to talk to you about. Can I meet you somewhere? -Sam'Ben read the text before opening his phone to reply.
'Sure thing. We can meet at the school, it's about halfway between out houses. Meet you there at 1? -Ben' It was a couple of minutes before Sam replied.
'Sounds good. See you at 1. -Sam' Ben closed his phone and set it back onto his night stand. He took a deep breath before sitting up and getting out of bed. He dropped his pajamas onto his floor and slipped into his clothes for the day before heading downstairs for some breakfast. He moved slow and painfully. He was definitely feeling his bruises now.
After breakfast, Ben headed out to get to the school. It was nice to take his time and enjoy the walk from time to time. He arrived at the schoolyard at around noon, so he took some time to lay in the grass and take a nap. He was really stiff from the bruises and the fight from the night before, and he hadn't slept too well because of it.
"Hey Ben!" Sam greeted his friend. Ben cracked open his eye to see his friend leaning over him. His nap had taken about an hour, but had felt like it was just a few seconds.
"Hey dude!" Ben said. He tried not to groan as he sat up. "How long have you been here?"
"Just arrived," Sam said. "You sound like you're pretty sore."
"That obvious, huh?" Sam nodded. "Yeah, I must have laid down on a rock or something. I'll be fine, though." He stood up and brushed off his lucky shirt of the dirt and grass clinging onto it. "So you said that you had something to talk to me about?"
"Yeah…" Sam said somewhat hesitantly. "How do I say this?"
"Hard for me to say, as I haven't heard it yet," Ben said smartly. "But if I were you, I'd just spit it out."
"Ok, here it goes, then," Sam said. "I know that you're Ultra 10."
"I know that you're Ultra 10." The words hit Ben like a freight train. He had thought that they were covering their tracks. That they had gotten Sam off of his trail. How could he know?
Doubtless, it was due to his obsession with mysteries, that was obvious. But still… How? Ben gulped hard, trying to think of what to say. Should he downplay it? Deny it, and hope that Sam would conclude that the notion was crazy? Should he confide in him, and hope that he can keep his secret? Should he try to threaten him?
'Probably not threaten him,' a small part of his mind chided him. 'That is something that heroes don't do.'
'Okay then, so what should I do?' He mentally argued with himself. However, his moral compass was silent as to the answer. 'Kinda saw that coming…' Ben drew a deep breath.
"Yeah, I am. And I'd appreciate it if you would keep it on the down-low."
"Ok, here it goes, then," Sam said. "I know that you're Ultra 10." Sam bit his lip.
'No you don't, you idiot!'He mentally reprimanded himself.'All you've got is a hunch! You still don't have any proof! And now you just pissed him off! One of your friends! Way to go!'
Sam hadn't felt like such an idiot in such a long time. Of course Ben wasn't Ultra 10! How ridiculous of an idea could he come up with? You're stupid obsession with investigation has screwed you up in the real world again! You should just forget all about-
"Yeah, I am." Ben said hesitantly. "And I'd appreciate it if you would keep it on the down-low."
Wait, what?
'Ben? Ultra 10? Did I get it right? Did I actually discover the mystery?' Yeah, I did!
"Really?" Sam blurted out. "I knew it! Well, I had a hunch, and a theory, but I didn't have any proof… But you… you just gave me proof!"
"Wait, you didn't actually know?" Ben demanded.
"Well, no, not really, but I had a theory… I would have figured it out soon though, even if you hadn't told me!" Ben groaned and face-palmed. "It's alright, I can keep your secret!" Ben groaned again.
"Man, Lukas is going to love this!" He said sarcastically.
"Wait, Lukas knows too?" Sam asked. "Who else knows?" Ben dropped his hand and glared at Sam.
"I have got to stop talking, before all of my secrets are out!"
Ben's Point of View
Ben started to walk away, but Sam quickly caught up.
"Lukas knowing makes a ton of sense now," he chattered away. "I mean, you two always acted like you had some sort of secret or an inside joke… I guess it was a secret!"
"Please stop talking about it," Ben grumbled. "This is already too embarrassing that I gave away my own secret identity."
"Well Lukas knows about your identity, and it's still a secret," Sam quipped. "So if I don't tell anyone, which I won't by the way, then it can still be secret!" Ben kept trudging on, not even saying a word.
"So Lukas must be your guy in the sky, right? He monitors the city for crimes, and sends you out there to solve them."
"Please stop, before you know everything," Ben grumbled in reply.
"Of course, that would mean that you've got some sort of camera system set up. Probably got some communication system too so that you can keep in touch. Oh! I'd bet that it's connected to his phone! That would be why he kept trying to call you the night of our study session. And why he was so worried when you didn't show up!" Sam kept rattling away. Finally Ben turned to him, grabbing him by both shoulders.
"Look, you HAVE to stop spewing my secrets out loud, alright? I fight guys like Animo, and they are smart as well as dangerous. If they heard you blabbering away, they'd know right where to find you, or how to get to me. So button the lip, alright?" Ben finished. Sam nodded.
"Buttoning it," Sam said. Ben nodded and turned to continue heading home.
"So… You fought Animo? What was he like? How hard is it to defeat his mutated animals? Oh, and how do you assume all of those forms? When you're transformed, you have some sort of a badge that controls your transformations, but I don't see a badge on you now?" Without stopping, or even slowing down his walk, Ben slid up the sleeve of his windbreaker to reveal the Omnitrix. He showed it to Sam.
"Fascinating!" Sam said, inspecting the watch. "What do you call it?"
"The Omnitrix," Ben deadpanned.
"It looks like it is definitely of alien origin. Which would make all of your forms different aliens. I had originally thought that they were genetic mutations that you could control, like Animo, you know? But that just didn't make sense with ones like your fire form. So I concluded that they must be aliens…"
"Ugh! Make him stop!" Ben moaned. Seemingly in response, Ben's phone vibrated. He answered it, and saw that it was Julie's communicator. He put it on speaker.
"Hey, Julie. Let me guess, there's somewhere I've got to zoom to?"
"That's right," She said. "And it looks like a stand-off with some gangsters and the cops."
"Great," Ben said, remembering his last stand-off. "And I've got some news too. We've got a new member of the team…"
"But you said you were going to wait on the PLUMMERs?" Julie asked, confused.
"Not the PLUMMERs. His name is Sam."
"Hi there!" Sam spoke into the phone. "I'm guessing that you are Ultra 10's other eye in the sky, then?"
"Yeah, I'll explain it after I take out some gangsters," Ben said. He pulled out his suit and opened it up, it unfolding over his body.
"Wow!" Sam exclaimed. "Now that is cool!" Ben raised his wrist and activated the Omnitrix.
"StinkFly!" He shouted. "I'll see you in a bit." With that, he raced off to spray some sticky, stinky goop at some very unlucky gangsters.
A/N:
And that is it for this chapter! What did you think about it? How did you like the perspective from Agent 10's point of view? There were a lot of switching around here, I hope that it didn't confuse anyone! What did you think of the big reveal? It's official, Sam now knows about Ben's secret, and Lukas and Julie too! How do you think that he is going to fit in? How did you like Ben's little slip-up? After all, he is only 12 years old. And Gwen seems to be getting onto the trail of the PLUMMERs, when do you think that she is going to figure out about her grandfather's employment? Or is she going to find out about it? What did you think about the fight with Six-Six? He was tough to take down, but is that the last Ben's seen of him, even though he's in PLUMMER Prison?

Review Responses:
weirdhead: Crabb is needed in picture too... I suppose you wouldn't involve HP verse, despite some spells of it. Also, Ultimate aliens; yeah, don't agree with some features like Humangasaur's rockets; but hey, they can be improved realisticly, right? Biomnitrix always was my favorite, with transformations like Atomic X. When you come to AF, plz explain Micheal Morningstar and where his powers came from. I still don't have explanation for that...
Thanks for the review! Yeah, the Harry Potter universe won't be included in this fic aside from a few spells. In coming up for spells for Gwen, I am using mostly Latin, with a few spells/words from Greek, Harry Potter, Eragon, the actual Ben 10 show, and some made-up words that sound magicy. As for Crabb, I am assuming that is a reference to Vincent Crabb from Harry Potter? If it is some other fandom, please let me know!
As for Ultimate Aliens, this is an alternate universe, so the events of Alien Force, Ultimate Alien, etc are not canon. I have a very different timeline in mind, and it will look very little like the storyline of the sequal series. However, if Michael Morningstar makes a debut, rest assured, I will make sure to explain his powers. I did like how, in the movie "Ben 10 V.S. the Universe," the "Ultimate" transformations were implemented by hardware within the Omnitrix. That would easily be able to account for Humongasaur's rockets. Nano-Mech? Anyone? (Big things are planned for the nano-mech in the near future!)
Post Script: On Friday, I had an idea for another story, a Ben 10 and Star Wars: The Clone Wars Crossover. I started writing down plot-points to form the story around (like I did with this story) and I came up with 72 plot points. For comparison, on a first draft, this story had 84. (Currently it is sitting at 248 plot points.) So it will probably end up being a large project like this one. Don't worry! I intend on completing this story before I start publishing it, but I will put a few plot points as they stand now into my bio, for anyone who would be interested in reading it when I finally get around to typing it!
