*So I never mentioned where in LA the gang lived, so to clarify, Bo, Buzz, Jessie and Woody live in Westwood and Sid was over in Inglewood.*

Rest stop along Interstate Five, 6:00 PM, November 15th

Sid pulled into a spot and put the car in park. He turned around to the girl in the backseat.

"Okay, I'm going to get some snacks and some drinks. Do you need to use the restroom?" The girl shook her head no. "You can talk to me, Maddy. I swore to you that I'm not going to hurt you if you behave. Now are you sure? We still have a long way to go."

"No, I'm okay. Thank you, sir." Maddy said softly.

"Okay then, you stay right here. Keep the doors locked and don't move. I'll be right back." He got out of the car, taking the keys with him and the doors locked around Maddy. She sat right where she was, just in case. Even though he kept telling her he wasn't going to hurt her, she didn't trust him. He did shoot her dad and her coach after all. But she had to find some way of getting a signal to someone, to let them know that she was here and that this man wasn't her father. She didn't have her emergency phone that her mom gave her, so she couldn't text anyone. That's when she looked upfront and saw Sid's phone in the cup holder. Leaning forward, she unlocked it and raised it up slowly, taking a few pictures. Opening the text message app, she punched in a fewnumbers, attached the pictures, and sent the text. Quickly, she erased it and the pictures she took before placing it back in the cup holder just as she saw Sid coming back to the car. He got in and bucked his belt.

"Alright, here's a sandwich, some chips, and a bottle of water." He started to hand them back to her when he saw his phone. He looked back at her. "You didn't touch that, did you?"

"No sir. I've been right here in this seat since you left. Just as you said to do so." The girl replied. Sid continued to look at her and handed her the food.

"Good girl. You've earned dessert. Now eat up." He put the car in reverse and continued to drive. Maddy let out a mental sigh of relief and prayed that the text would get to its designated phones quickly.

Mercy Hospital 6:30pm, November 15th

"I saw the news about Maddy, and I thought that if I could talk to Sid, it would buy some time, make him come to his senses." Hannah explained. She had a bruise on her left eye and a bandage on her right cheek from an open cut. Her wrist had been placed in a cast due to it being broken in two places. Her clothes were taken as evidence and she now wore a hospital gown that covered her bruised legs. "I know it was a stupid thing to do, but I figured if anyone could talk to him, it would be me. I am his sister after all."

"You tried to help him, Hannah." Jessie said calmly.

"Do you remember anything? Andy asked. Anything that may have been said, what his intentions may be." Hannah rubbed her head.

"He said he wanted revenge on anyone who wronged him. He said Lauren had gotten what she deserved by divorcing him and taking custody of his daughter. Lauren was first on his list, then me, and then Woody. He had been plotting to go after Woody for sometime now, so I suppose that's why he went after him first."

"And you never knew about any of this?" Hannah shook her head.

"Not a clue. I knew he was hurting, and that he had hated all of us, but I never thought he would kill, let alone rape. Guess he was more messed up in the head than I thought." Jessie and Andy exchanged looks.

"And what about Woody's daughter, Madeline? Slinky asked. Where does she fit into all this?"

"Sid said that taking her was kind of a last minute decision. Hannah sighed. He figured that since he had already shot Woody, that Maddy would be better off with him. He has no intention of hurting her, but he's not letting her go. That's why he raped and attacked me, so that I couldn't follow him to see where he was taking her. I'm so sorry, Jess. I should've done more to help your niece, I'm so, so sorry."

"It's okay, Hannah. Your statement helps. Get some rest, I'll come by later to check on you." Jessie said. She followed Andy and Slinky out when her phone vibrated in her pocket. It was a text message from a number that she didn't recognize. Phone still in her hand, she heard her sister in law scream and saw her rushing towards her.

"Jess! I just got a text from a random number, but I think it might be Maddy." She said quickly.

"What do you..." Jess began to say.

"Look at these photos." Jessie looked and saw a rest stop with picnic benches, a gas station, and a few fast food signs. Another image had an interstate sign in it.

"Hold on a minute." Jessie pulled out her phone and read the text. "I was sent those same images. Did you get an actual text too that says 'I was here'?"

"Yes, those exact words!" Jessie looked at Bo and went over to Andy.

"Captain, look at this text message." Andy looked at the pictures and read the text.

"You just got this now?" He asked.

"Yes. I think it may have been Maddy."

"It has to be her. Woody and I taught all of our phone numbers to Maddy when she turned ten. We had given her an emergency cell too, but that's not her number so it has to be..." Bo said.

"Sid's phone. We have to get this to TARU so we can track it! Jones, lets go!"

"I'll ride along with you." Jessie said.

"Negative, Lightyear. Look Jess, I know you want to find your niece, I get that, believe me I do. But I can't have you on this." Jessie went to argue, but Andy stopped her. "It is not open for discussion. This is your niece we are talking about, your family that is involved, which means I can't have you involved either. Stay here, be with your family and wait to hear about your brother. I will let you know what we find." Jessie sighed, but nodded.

"Fine. Just find that son of a bitch and bring back my niece." Jessie said before turning away.

*Everyone parent should teach phone numbers to children when they get to a certain age, that's just my opinion. Will they find her? Till next time!*
