For context from last chapter, I have a stupid headcannon that Calem likes to cross-dress, blame this on the XY Quizbook.
For this one, let's just say a few friends of mine have start hanging their christmas trees and presents even before December started. Seriously, its still a month away, chill..
"Merry Christmas, everyone!" Nate cheered at the other two teens in the living room of Nate's house.
"What? It's still the first of Dec-" Calem argued but before he could finished, a tap of the shoulder from Hilbert and the way he shook his head had said that arguing with the young lad is useless. Nonetheless, Nate continued, "Nonsense! Christmas is every day, every month, December is just special cause everyone else is also celebrating it." He huffed as he finishes.
"And what is it that we're doing this month?" Hilbert inquired at the other brunet, who immediately grinned ear to ear. "Well, I thought that we should get an actual christmas tree in here. After that, we could do something, like secret santa!" He answered happily.
Surprising Hilbert as for once, the boy's suggestion of participating in the event does not include destroying the forest ecosystem once more, he gives Nate a smile. "That actually sounds good, I'm down to do a secret santa, Calem?" The Kalosian in question just gives a nod, he's up for something like that, although getting a present for either Unovans would be quite difficult considering he's still an outsider and has not yet feel like he's known them enough.
"Great, we'll start with getting the christmas tree up first!" And with that, Nate walks out of the house, leaving the two older teens staring at each other before turning the house upside-down in search for any lights and decoration they could use for the tree.
As Nate looks around the store for a good tree to put in the house, he doesn't feel conviced to buy any of them. They feel fake, too fake to express his love for the jolly holiday.
Instead, he had the profound idea of getting a REAL christmas tree instead. Going to the forest near his town, he released his Kyurem, telling it to fly to one of the colder part of the region.
Reaching the Moor Of Icirrus, he tries to ignore the damage of the battle he and Hilbert went through over some stupid problem after Calem had apologized (and punished for), and went around the outside instead, where the trees are still alive. Nate sent out his Samurott after finding a good landing spot, telling the Formidable Pokemon to cut the tree. He can hear the scream of "SAMUROTTTT!" followed by the sound of the tree hitting the forest's ground as he got out a few Escape Ropes. A quick thank you and returning the blue pokemon, The male tied a few ropes to the tree as tightly as possible, thanking Hugh in the act of rope knotting not asking why the Blue-haired teen knowing such skill for.
Another quick tie of the rope to Kyurem's body, he got on and took off again back to Aspertia Town, with a tree dangling, barely holding onto the rope below the Boundary Pokemon.
Kyurem questions his trainer's morality and intelligence sometimes.
Even if Nate had just subtly said Christmas is always on the top of his list, apparently getting it ready was not, since not a single christmas decoration could be found, raising question in how and where the decorations from last year went. As Calem had just arrived a month ago and Hilbert meeting the young Brunet when the year first started, both don't even know if the boy in question even had any christmas decoration for last year.
Ignoring the puzzling questions in their mind, they went ahead to buy some decorations instead at the nearby stores in the town, thanking the capitalist for constantly pumping christmas items early to get those sales going up and quick. Although they did not expect an actual Evergreen tree to be sitting in the middle of the living room.
It was tall enough to reach the ceiling and apparently whoever it was that brought that thing in here (Hilbert hold no question that Nate was the perpetrator), decided that making a hole in the house is a good idea to keep the tree standing.
The suspect is sitting on the sofa of the room, petting his Samurott before glancing at the doorway noticing the two teens that has been standing there for a while, quite flabbergasted by the sight of an actual tree.
"There you guys are, what took you so long?" Nate asks, returning his partner in his pokeball.
And before Calem could question the boy, Hilbert had proceeded to walk up and smack the boy in the head and probably fainting him in the process.
I actually have no idea on what to have this three give each other, so I'd love some suggestions! Really wish I did this back in October so I could've done a Halloween drabble as well,,,
