Chapter 20 Izzy refusses to eat her foods
Izzy's POV
The next morning, the nurse came in with a bowl of cereal for me and then, she left.
"I am not eating this." I said to myself as Jake heard me.
"Oh yes, you are!" Jake said to me.
"No I'm not, I'm not eating this cereal." I said to him.
Jake's POV
As Izzy yelled at me I took the spoon and made her eat her cereal.
"No I'm not in the cereal." Izzy said to me as she turned her head away.
" Izzy you're acting like a baby. Eat the damn cereal, if you want to go home." I said to her.
" I want to go home!" Izzy said to me.
" Then if you want to go home, eat the damn cereal young lady." I sad to her as the doctor came in.
" Ms green, if you don't eat the cereal, we're going to extend your stay." The doctor said to her.
" No please don't extend my stay." Izzy said to the doctor while giving him the puppy dog eyes.
"Oh brother." I said to myself.
"Izzy if you don't want the doctor to extend your stay, eat the goddamn cereal!" I said to her.
"NO!" Izzy said to me.
"OPEN YOUR MOUTH!" I yelled at her as she started crying.
"Oh don't you dare start crying, you put this on yourself young lady. It's rather you eat the cereal, or I have to feed you the cereal. You pick, cuz I'm done babying you." I said to her as I sat on the chair next to her as I was now mad, and angry.
"I WANT TO GO HOME! I WANT TO GO HOME I WANT TO GO HOME!" Izzy said while yelling.
"SHUT UP! IF YOU WANT TO GO HOME, DO AS I SAY!" I said to her.
"I RATHER BE BACK AT THE DANCE STUDIO, BUT NO I UNDERSTAND HERE AT THE DAMN HOSPITAL BECAUSE OF YOUR WHINY BEHAVIOR. BECAUSE THAT YOU DON'T WANT TO EAT." I said to her.
"Jake, calm down." Cubby said to me.
"NO! I WON'T CALM DOWN CUBBY. SINCE THIS LITTLE BABY DOESN'T WANT TO EAT HER FOOD, I'M NOT FORCING HER TO DO IT." I said to him.
"DON'T CALL ME A LITTLE BABY!" Izzy said to me.
"You know what I'm not sorry, because you do not want to listen to the doctor, or me. IF YOU DON'T ACT YOUR AGE IZZY, THEN I'M LEAVING YOU! AND WHEN EXAM LEAVING YOU I MEAN I'M GOING BACK TO PIRATE ISLAND!" I said to her.
" Doctor you know what, extend her stay she deserves it because she's not going to eat ANYTHING!" I said to the doctor.
"Jake please don't do this to me." Izzy said to me.
"YOU PUT THIS ON YOURSELF! I'M OUT OF HERE." I said t her as I left her hospital room to cool off.
"Jake I've known you for I don't know how long, but please don't break up with Izzy." I said to him.
" But she won't listen to me." Jake said to me.
"I'm not your problem not yours. She is the one in the hospital, not you. If I were you I would not break up with no girl. Especially if it's your first mate." I said to him.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Okay I'm sorry I'm just so worried about her." Jake said to e as he broke down in tears.
"Jake it's okay, it's okay. But please, do not break up with her. You know how she will get if you break up with her." I said to him.
" You mean that if I break up with her, she might move away?" Jake asked me.
"Or worse she might marry John darling." I said to him.
"No, I want her to marry me. I'm not going to break up with Izzy!" Jake said to me.
"Oh thank God!" I said to him while hugging Jake.
After we went back to Izzy's hospital room, she was watching TV.
"Oh, welcome back Jake, and Cubby. So, what do you two talk about?" Izzy asked us.
"Well I'm glad Cubby talked some sense into your cute, adorable brain of yours." Izzy said to him.
" Oh yeah, and I also told him that if he did decided to break up with you, then you would be married to John darling." I said to her.
" Ew, John darling? Gross I would never marry that boy." Izzy said to us as we saw her eating the cereal.
" Izzy are you eating?" Jake asked her.
"yeah I know it was bugging you, so I decided to eat the cereal." Izzy said to him.
" Wow, I'm proud of you." Jake said to her as she blushed.
"Gee, thanks Jake." Izzy said to him.
"Okay, so Jake and i have to get to the dance studio so we can rehearse our small group. But we will have to rehearse it without you Iz since your in the hospital and all." I said to her.
" That's okay with me. I mean, I'm sure I'll leave this place soon anyway." Izzy said to us.
" Yeah, actually since Izzy is now eating, she'll get discharged this afternoon." The doctor said to us.
" Okay, I'll pick her up then." Jake said to him as we left.
As we went back to the dance studio, Jenny came up to us.
"How's Izzy doing?" Jenny asked us.
"Well, she didn't want to eat her breakfast cereal, as she gave me an attitude, as she kept repeating I want to go home, I want to go home. So, long story short, we came back into her room to see that she was watching TV and eating her cereal." Jake said to her.
" Wow, that must've been fun." Jenny said to him.
"Trust me it wasn't fun, I had to yell at her." Jake said to her.
"Oh I guess it wasn't fun." Jenny said to him.
"Yeah, no kidding. And to drop it off Jenny, I was about to break up with her, just because you didn't listen to me or the doctor." Jake said to her.
" Jake, you know how she got when you break up with her." Jenny said to him.
" I said the same thing to him Jenny." I said to her.
"Anyway, she's getting discharge this afternoon so yeah." Jake said to her.
"Oh, goody!" Jenny said to him as she was jumping up and down like a six year old.
"I'm sorry, I am dressed myself." Jenny said to us as she was blushing.
"That's okay I bet Laquan does the same thing." I said to her.
"Do you think Laquan has feelings for Jenny Jake?"I asked him.
" Oh no besides Johnny already has a boyfriend and Laquan already has a girlfriend so to be honest I don't know. So, anyway let's start!" Jake said to me as Jenny came back.
" Welcome back Jenmy, how was your date?" I asked her as Jake hit my hand.
"It wasn't a date Cubby. Laquan was just talking about his long time friend that he hasn't seen in a long time, and he just wanted to know if he should marry her." Jenny said to us.
"But isn't Laquan like 20 years old?" Jake asked her.
"Yes and he's cute but don't tell him I said that." Jenny said to us.
"Oh so you do like him." I said to her.
"I already have A BOYFRIEND!" Jenny said to me
"Whatever Jenny." I said to her as Jake and I continued our dance while Peter and Michelle was watching us.
As Jake and I were rehearsing the dance, we kept tripping on each other.
"Okay okay stop stop stop, that was pathetic." Peter said to us.
"Peter were sorry, but when trying our best." I said to him.
"Yeah this would be better, if Izzy was here." Jake said to him.
" Well, where is she?" Peter asked us.
"She's still at the hospital, but she's getting discharged later on today. So, you won't see her until tomorrow.*" Jake said to him.
"Well, the way you boys were dancing today, was awful." Peter said to us.
"Peter don't be mean to them. I know they're clumsy, but they're trying the best." Jenny said to him.
" And you, why aren't you helping them?" Peter asked her.
"Excuse me? I didn't just stand here to get yelled at." Jenny said to him.
"oh really what about your boyfriend that just came inside the room?" Peter asked her.
" My boyfriend is on a business trip. And he won't come and see me until the Nationals." Jenny said to him.
" How about you get your stuff and leave. All of you leave!" Peter said to us as Jenny took her stuff and ran crying.
Laquan's POV
As I was about to go use the restroom, I saw Jenny crying.
"Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa Jenny, what's the matter?" I asked her.
"Peter told me to grab my stuff and leave." Jenny said to me.
"Aww, Jenny." I said to her as I hugged her while her boyfriend came.
"matthew? i thought you wanted business trip?" jenny asked him.
"i was, but my business should got canceled. was this boy hugging you?" matthew asked her.
" yes, but he's only a friend." jenny said to him as matthew was looking at me. like he was about to do something.
"hey stay away from my girl." matthew said to me as he pushed me down on to the floor.
"laquan!" both jenny and diandra called me as diandra stay by my side.
"your little friend is pathetic." matthew said to her.
"matthew, we want to talk about this later just leave." jenny said to him as he left.
" diandra, what are you doing here?" i asked her.
"i wanted to see you, look i haven't seen you in a long time." diandra said to me.
as i was about to say something, matthew came back and started to punch me.
"what did i just say, stay away from my girl." matthew said to me and i saw jake and cubby run towards us.
"hey, no bullying other people do you not read the flyers?" jake asked him.
"Jake please don't do anything irrational." I said to him as Peter came and saw the whole thing.
"I'll meet him there." Both Jenny and Diandra said to the paramedics.
Jenny you okay?" I asked her.
" I should have done something, I should have done something. But no, my boyfriend had to beat him up. All laquan did was calming me down that's the only thing he did. He didn't kiss me or anything." Jenny said to me as Diandra stood next to her.
"I appreciate you looking after my boyfriend. I would have done the same thing, if I haven't came on time." Diandra said to her as Jenny cried on her shoulder.
"Ladies, calm down he's going to be okay. Honey it's not like he's going to die." Cubby said to them.
" SHUT UP CUBBY!" The two girls said to him as they went to go see him.
"That reminds us we got to go pick up Izzy." I said myself as I dragged Cubby.
"Jake it's not even the afternoon yet." Cubby said to me.
"I want to get there early. Who knows Laquan's probably there too." I said to him.
"But he's not a child." Cubby said to me.
" I know but probably they don't have any room for him adult hospital so they're probably brought him at Children's hospital." I said to him.
As we arrived into Izzy's room, she was actually playing a video game.
"Oh hey guys!" Izzy said to us.
"Wow you're looking better." I said to her.
"Yeah the doctors came over, and gave me a lot of food so I ate the whole thing." Izzy said to me.
" Wow I'm proud of you 100%." I said to her.
" Hey I noticed that look Laquan's here, what happened?" Izzy asked us.
" Oh you missed it, laquan got beat up bad by Jenny's boyfriend Matthew." Cubby said to her.
" Wow was Jenny upset about that?" Izzy asked us.
"Yeah her, and Laquan's girlfriend was." I said to her.
"Oh wow, I hope he gets better. So where did he get hit?" Izzy asked us.
" He got punched in the stomach hard." I said to her.
" Laquan better not die." Izzy said to herself.
"I'm sure he won't." I said to her.
"Or he probably might die." Cubby said to us.
" Cubby what is the matter with you. Never say that in front of us." Both Izzy and I said to him.
"Well I'm sorry, but he got punched in the stomach really bad by Matthew's foot." Cubby said to us.
As Laquan was being pushed by the doctors into his own hospital room, they started to cut his clothes off, and place a hospital gown on him as we came to visit him as Jenny and Diandra were sitting on the opposite side of him.
"Hey how's Laquan doing?" I asked the two ladies.
"He hasn't woken up yet." Jenny said to me.
"Oh, okay." I said to her as we all heard groaning coming from Laquan.
"Hey, why am I wearing...? Oh yeah I'm in the hospital." Laquan said to himself as Jenny hugged him.
"Oh, I am so sorry this happened to you." Jenny said to him.
"Hey, it's okay." Laquan said to her.
" no, it's not okay I've could have done something, to prevent Matthew from punching you in the stomach." Jenny said to him.
"Jenny, it's okay you could have done something to help me but it was too late. Matthew already did a lot of damage. I love you." Laquan said to her.
"You mean as a friend right?" Jenny asked him.
" No, as a little sister." Laquan said to her.
"Oh, Laquan." Jenny said to him as she gave him a big hug as a doctor came in.
" Mr Suarez, you might need to get surgery on your stomach. because due to the bleeding inside enter rupture of your ribs, it might hit your heart." The doctor said to him as he started to freak out.
" Hey, Laquan, baby, calm down." Diandra said to him.
"Laquan, it's going to be okay." Jenny said to him while the two girls were stroking his cheeks to help him calm down.
"Jenny Jenny, I'm scared. I'm scared." Laquan said to her.
"Hey, look at me look at me, I'm going to be fine. you're going to be fine." Jenny said to him.
"I'm scared that I might not make it." Laquan said to her.
"Laquan, you will make it." Jenny said to him as he smiled weakly.
" Doctor, how much blood did I lose in my stomach?" Laquan asked him.
"I would say 45% of stomach blood loss. but if you don't get to get to the operating room sooner, you might die." The doctor said to him as Jenny started to cry.
"No please, don't let my big brother die." Jenny said to the doctor.
