Chapter nine: The confession.
After being released De Silver shot up grabbing the child and moving over to her mother, he picks her up too. And leaves De goats office. All through the night De Silver Nurses the Little bunny's wounds. Oh how much he wants to forget this mission and just kill De Goat. But what if De Goat isn't in charge, what would happen to his family, his colleagues, his friends and one special little bunny and the baby. God he misses them right now their sent, the softness of their fur, and the sound of their hearts beating. He was in agony. Could he complete the mission, could he stand being separated from her and their baby? Yes. Yes, he can he thought. I must, for their sakes if not my own, to protect them I need to stay away. I need to stop this mad goat. "Mr De Silver". Said the little bunny, groggily.
"Shush. Don't push yourself my dear, your body needs to recover. I'm so sorry for what as". He says. But the bunny puts her hand to his lips. "It's not your fault, Mr De Silver, it's that goats. May I ask you a question"? She says. "You may". Replies De Silver. "Why didn't you eat me and my daughter when we were brought on the plate"? She asks. "I am a vegetarian my dear. Plus you remind me of my Judy". Replies De Silver. "She sounds like a lucky vixen". She replies. "She is lucky and as beautiful as you. And I love her and our baby daughter too, so much and, and Judy is a bunny". "That's not what I expected". She said. After attending her wound some more, there was a knock at the door. And Dr Foxman entered. "How are you feeling, my dear". He asks. "Better, thanks to Mr De Silver". She replies. "Dr Aaron Foxman MD, PHD. Genetic research specialist. Researching specialist drugs for surrogacy. To allow females to give birth to different species". Said De Silver.
The doctor was a taken back by this. "Sir you know me but I don't know you". Said the doctor. "For now I am Carlos De Silver, international assassin. But it may be different on my next assignment. Special Agent Neil Vixen ZBI". Replied De Silver even that wasn't his real name. "ZBI"? Exclaimed the doctor. "Do I call you agent Vixen"? Asked the doctor. "De Silver. Just De Silver". De silver replies. After a few seconds De Silver says. "Doctor, can you tell me what is going on here". "I'm not sure, we were brought here against our will, and we was put to work experimenting on genetic material. De Goat was originally just to facilitate protection, for the one who had us kidnapped". Said the doctor. "So De Goat is not in charge"? Asked De Silver. "Not at first, the Liger woman was". Said the doctor just before De Silver interrupted him. "Liger is that her name". De Silver asked. "No. I don't know her name, but I do know that she is a hybrid, lion and tiger. She had us experimenting in creating a hybrid, so far we, well I have only been successful in combining the DNA from a fox and a rabbit". Said the doctor.
"So it was you who created our Violet"! Exclaimed De Silver, the doctor looks shocked, then asks. "Who"?
But De Silver didn't answer. Then Dr Foxman says. "My one colleague, Jason Running Hare was killed as we tried to make an escape. I was recaptured, but I know Josephine made it to a vehicle". Before asking. "Did she make it, is she still alive"? De Silver Turned and couldn't help but think of that evening, that is when Violet came to them. His thoughts drifted to what he asked before taking this assignment. Turning to face the doctor De Silver said. "I'm sorry but she died in Lt Hopps arms at precinct 1. The child survived". The doctor's heart sank, both friends and colleague's dead at the hands of De Goat.
