Closing in on the end! Wanted to deliver a chapter showing some of the complicated history Blossom & Brick share, and honestly this chapter is a tease of another story in the pipeline that delves into that history. Excited to share it.

Segment 10 - Always In My Heart

- YEARS BEFORE -

The girls were at a party, it was the first time that they were truly able to relax with their crimefighting career finally coming to an end. Bubbles was off socializing with anyone she can find. Blossom and Buttercup were with Boomer and Butch.

Butch was hard at work preparing a rather large bong "GO!" He screamed as Blossom hit the bong "INHALE!" Butch instructed "GO! GO! HARDER!" he continued as Blossom inhaled as instructed "LET GO!" Butch said and Blossom let go of the bong.

"Hold it…." Butch explained and Blossom did as instructed "And exhale…." Butch did a gesture to emphasize his point and Blossom let out the smoke before laying back on the couch "Ahh. It's Jesus….You see him?" Butch asked as Blossom let the high take over. Butch then handed the Bong to Buttercup "Let's go…" She said taking it.

Blossom was fairly high a while later after more than a few bong hits. Even though there was as ton of people at the party, she felt all she could hear was the music playing. She set her eyes on the guy she had been talking to, Brick. The two had been talking and flirting for weeks.

The lyrics of the song boomed louder than the song was actually playing, Blossom made her way to Brick. Oddly enough the lyrics seemed to fit Brick's change from a rowdy antagonist to the exact opposite. "I pray to God that he make me a better man…..Maybe one day i'ma stand for something…." The song played as Blossom made it to Brick and leaned up against him.

Brick wrapped his arms around Blossom. "Hey Red…" He said "You looked like you weren't having fun." Blossom spoke, her eyes bloodshot from the high. "Nah this just ain't my scene." Brick spoke and Blossom turned to face Brick. "Rowdyruff boy Brick, doesn't like a party? Drinking? Weed? A girl in your arms?" Blossom prodded.

"I guess I don't like all the guys hitting on the girl in my arms, dancing with her, grabbing her ass…." Brick spoke as Blossom pursed her lips "Are you jealous?" She poked and Brick chuckled a bit "Well yeah." He admitted and Blossom turned once more, Brick's arms still wrapped around her. "None of these guys would treat me the way you would." She spoke "Most of them are jerks." Blossom continued.

"Let's go get some air. It's stuffy in here." Brick spoke leading Blossom outside. Bubbles, who was still socializing, saw the two walk outside, she leaned to Buttercup "What's the deal with them?" She asked "Blossom's afraid to pull the trigger. I don't think she likes being tied down." Buttercup responded "You know what I learned? I hate beer." Buttercup spoke and Bubbles laughed "That's why I only drink the sweet and fruity drinks!" she said and Buttercup nodded.

Just outside the house, Brick and Blossom sat on the porch "I got you something…" Brick said and he pulled out a necklace. He brushed back some of Blossoms hair and clipped it on. Blossom read what was on the necklace. It read "Always in my heart." Blossom blushed at the sight and gave Brick a soft kiss as a thank you.

"I like you, Bloss." Brick admitted and Blossom smiled "I like you too." She spoke and Brick hugged her "But…I can't commit…" Blossom pulled away. "I…I have a lot going on in my life. I just stopped crimefighting, The girls and I have to figure out what's next, we're moving out from the Professor's place. It's just a lot right now, and I really don't have time for a boyfriend." Blossom spoke and Brick nodded. He stood up and Blossom stood up with him

"Brick wait. I…I like you!" Blossom spoke taking his hand in hers "Then why don't we see where this leads?" Brick questioned. "We can't just stay like this for now?" Blossom argued "Just until I figure things out." Blossom spoke and Brick nodded. The two hugged. "I mean't what I said." Brick said and Blossom looked at him "What did you say?" She asked "You're always in my heart…." Brick responded and Blossom looked at the necklace, and she leaned into a soft kiss with Brick. "Don't let me go." She whsipered "I won't." Brick responded.

- 3 MONTHS BEFORE -

Blossom came out of the store, donning the necklace given to her by Brick. She looked at the necklace, and closed her eyes for a moment, remembering the night it was gifted to her. Shaking the memory, she grabbed her phone and saw she got a text from Brick. "We need to meet." It read. Blossom sighed and knew what the meeting would be about. She flew off for the Ruff's home.

Brick opened the door to see his counterpart. "You're wearing the necklace." Brick spoke. "Yeah." Blossom spoke taking the necklace in hand "Sometimes I do." Blossom spoke.

"YO! Close the fucking door! It's cold!" Butch screamed from inside. Brick stepped outside, and closed the front door. "Let's take a walk." Brick spoke, as he led Blossom to his backyard. Walking around the lake, the pair walked in silence for a moment.

"Why'd you want to meet?" Blossom asked and Brick stopped walking. There was more silence between the two, the only thing breaking it was the cold, late winter air. "Blossom…" Brick started "No. Brick. NO!" Blossom spoke sternly knowing the real reason why he wanted to "Meet". Blossom turned to leave and Brick grabbed her "Blossom!" Brick said and Blossom looked at him "I told you I can't do this!" She argued and pulled her hand away "You know how I feel about you!" Brick spoke and Blossom rolled her eyes "Don't say that!" she responded

"Why? Cause I know how you feel about me?!" Brick said and Blossom screamed in fustration. "We've been down this road how many times now Brick? Why are you waiting for me?!" Blossom argued "Cause you're the only woman for me." Brick said and he pulled Blossom into a kiss, only to be met with a hard slap. Brick pulled away and stared at Blossom, in shock at her first attack on him in years.

"Brick…I'm….I'm sorry" Blossom spoke and Brick grabbed her once more "It's always, gonna be you Blossom. Always." He spoke in a low tone "I can't be what you want! I can't! You don't think I want to?!" Blossom argued

"What's stopping you?!" Brick screamed and Blossom refused to respond "WHAT IS STOPPING YOU BLOSSOM?!" Brick screamed and Blossom closed her eyes "Tell me." Brick let Blossom go and he began to cool off. "I love you." Blossom admitted and Brick, before he could respond, was met by Blossom's lips.

She shoved him to the grass and began to tear at his clothes. Brick easily gave in, having waited for Blossom, and was almost overwhelmed by Blossom's advances. She was all over him. Planting kisses on his neck and body. She moved to his manhood, and quickly began to give him a blowjob. "Fuck…Blossom." Brick said as Blossom continued to work. she moved up and started to suck on Brick's neck before giving a nibble to his ear. Brick finally took the chance to assume control and got on top of Blossom, inserting himself and thrusting rapidly. Blossom let her eyes close in pleasure, moaning and almost screaming from the sensation. Brick finished inside of Blossom, causing the redhead to let out a scream. Brick pulled out of Blossom and laid beside her on the grass.

"Did…did you mean that?" Brick asked as the two wouldn't look at each other. Instead, their eyes concentrated on the cloudy winter sky. Blossom remained quiet and closed her eyes.

"Blossom. Did you mean it when you said you loved me." Brick asked again and Blossom sat up. "Yes. I love you. But I can't be with you." The two got up. "Blossom." Brick spoke. Not knowing what to do. Blossom eyed Brick and said "This is all we can do…no commitment…" Brick listened to Blossom's words. Blossom hugged Brick. "Just…just until I figure this out…" She continued "Blossom…." Brick spoke

"Just tell me, yes or no to this…" Blossom spoke and Brick looked Blossom in her bright pink eyes. The eyes were filled with love, hurt, sadness and a slew of other emotions. "Yes." Brick answered and Blossom left without a word.

Seems we're getting a clearer picture of how this is going down. Think Blossom is gonna bring back the necklace?
