Hi everyone! Here's another chapter. I hope ya'll doing well :)
All mistakes are my own, English is not my native language.
They were flying back home, no one felt bad about leaving Hook behind and hijacking his own ship. He did betray them more than one occasion, they may be the good guys but there's only so much someone can put up with this.
Emma and Regina put Henry to sleep, he was extremely tired but the adrenaline that was flowing in his system from the events of the day prevented him to feel his tiredness.
The ship was quiet, people talked with one another in pairs or just watched the view that lay beneath them. They could see the entire of Neverland from their height. Even though they were flying, it still took time and they had a couple more hours before leaving Neverland's borders and reach the second star from the right to go back home.
"Wow, look at that." Pan was suddenly on board walking around eyeing each one of them. They all turned to face Pan with surprise written all over their faces. After he let them walk away with Henry, they haven't really had the time to question it. No one spoke, they were waiting for Pan to take the next step.
"Did you really think leaving Neverland would be that easy?" Pan raised an eyebrow. "I'm the one who decides who leaves Neverland. You can't simply walk away. Or fly away." He smirked. Regina who was standing next to Emma was eyeing Rumple who was standing at the other side of the ship, near Neal, as if asking his about the Pandora box. Rumple understood the questioning look on her face, part of the benefits of knowing her as long as he has. He nodded back.
"What do you want?" Emma asked sternly. Pan looked at Regina and Emma followed his gaze; she gritted her teeth in anger when she realized why he was here.
"You know your majesty; I've been waiting for the day you'd return to Neverland. Never thought we would meet again under these unfriendly terms."
"Then maybe you should have thought twice before kidnapping my son." Regina said angrily.
"You've been here before?" Snow asked confused and Regina hesitated. She wasn't sure, Tulip said she has but she doesn't have any memories of her time here. Luckily for her, Pan decided to answer that question.
"She has but she doesn't remember, around the age of two if I'm not mistaken." Pan revealed and Regina was surprised, that was exactly what Tulip claimed, then perhaps everything else she said was real too? The woman who raised her was actually Iduna, her mother's twin sister?
"But again, perhaps you should ask the dark one. After all, he was the one to take the memories in the first place." Pan smirked knowing he would cause a rift between the two, deeper than it already was. Regina turned to look at Rumple and frowned when she saw no recognition on his face, he didn't know. That only meant that whatever happened, it was important enough for everyone involved to forget.
"Why did you take Henry?" Regina asked, genuinely interested to know what part her son played in this. She also decided to ignore Pan's comment about Rumple's involvement.
"Isn't that obvious? All I needed to do was get you inside Neverland's borders" Pan revealed. He let her have that piece of information. Why not? She'll have plenty of question after what will come.
"Why? What do you want from me?" Regina asked, with everything that happened she still couldn't solve that part of the puzzle.
"You'll find out soon enough." Pan promised, he gave everyone one more before speaking again. "I am going to propose a deal now." He looked at Regina again. "If you stay in Neverland, I'll let everyone else go."
"Absolutely no." Emma sneered at the smug boy. But pan ignored her and she slowly turned to look at Regina and saw the thoughtful look on her face. "You can't seriously consider it?" Emma insisted, she looked at her True Love with disbelief.
"I know of your conversation with Tulip." Pan suddenly informed the brunette, making her avert her gaze from Emma and replace her attention back on him. "And I can tell you even more. If you accept the deal of course."
"I accept the deal." Regina jumped quickly at the offer. Pan smiled smugly at Emma who just turned to look at him with furiousness in her eyes.
"A word?" She asked Regina and the two walked away downstairs. Leaving the others with Pan.
Now that they were away from prying ears Emma turned to face Regina. But before Emma could alter a single word Regina sighed.
"Please Emma, you have to understand. There is so much I need to know and haven't discover yet." Regina sounded like she almost pleaded. Emma felt sorry and even selfish at her desire to not let Regina go but Regina was acting selfishly as well.
"Regina, I don't trust him! And Henry, we just got him back, how can you leave him?" Emma knew it was low and Regina look down with guilt.
"I just need to find out what happened, what these powers mean." Regina argued back. "You always wanted to know your past, where you came from. You surely can understand that, can't you?" Emma sighed. She did know what it felt like, but she wanted to be there for Regina, and there was no way the rest of their family would agree to stay in Neverland.
"I do understand, but how can you trust Pan?"
"We'll ask for a guarantee, some piece of information in exchange." Regina considered for a moment.
"And how we'll verify that?" Emma questioned. Regina didn't know what to tell Emma, the blonde had a valid point but Regina knew in her gut that Pan wanted her for some reason and wouldn't lie, he would want her to join him and knows she won't accept if he'd be dishonest. Emma and Regina came aboard to find the group silently waiting for them.
"We'll need a piece of the information you claim to have." Emma said boldly not waiting for the smug boy to ask of their decision.
"Something I can confirm." Regina added. Pan nodded in understanding; it was a reasonable thing to ask. He stood in silence thinking for a few moments.
"Your mother had a twin sister named Iduna, after... let's call it an incident, she banished your mother to the Land of Untold Stories and raised you instead." Pan revealed, he looked at the queen at saw the disbelief on her face.
"That's not possible." Regina chuckled nervously, she looked at Rumple, who was standing on the deck next to Neal behind Pan's view, for confirmation but all she got was a blank face. Then she remembered what Tulip said, and how strangely she described her mother, as if it was another woman completely.
"It's true though. I can tell you know it is." Pan insisted. Suddenly red smoke evolved Pan and they all saw Rumple suddenly behind him with the Pandora box in his hands. Pan turned around to face Rumple with surprised face. When he realized he cannot escape his fate, he turned around to Regina.
"Remember Othalan." Were Pan's last words before the red smoke sucked him into the box. Rumple quickly sealed the box with magic and everyone were relived.
After the group's encounter with Pan, Rumple magically set the ship to sail itself so everyone could go to sleep. Emma and Regina went to sleep in the same room as Henry, after a few hours of sleep, Regina started to hear a hunting melody. She tossed and turned, trying to block the noise but it only became greater and louder. She groaned and woke up, she went out of bed and walked on board trying to calm herself and quiet the voice.
She leaned on the side of the ship and looked into the never-ending view of clouds and darkness of the night. Just like she did when they first got here to save Henry. So much has changed, she has changed, Emma's and her relationship has changed. So much. Speaking of the blonde, she felt her presence becoming closer to her and turned to look behind. She smiled as she saw Emma. Emma smiled back and came to lean next to her on the left side, they both turned their gaze back into the dark. They stood there in a comfortable silence for a few moments.
"I'm sorry you didn't get the chance to know more." Emma apologized.
"I'm sorry too." Regina admitted, she wanted to know, it was important to her.
"But I can't be sorry that you're coming back with us." Emma smiled at her and Regina smiled back. Regina leaned closer to Emma and playfully nudged her shoulder.
"I love you so much Emma, it's crazy." Regina laughed lightly, at her own lovesick confession.
"Who wouldn't?" Emma asked with a laugh of her own that earned an eye roll from Regina. "I love you so so much too." Emma replied and leaned closer to kiss Regina.
Suddenly something hit Regina in the back and made her stumble upon Emma, knocking them both down on the deck. They both shocked, slowly stood up and looked around trying to understand what happened.
"What was that?" Regina asked Emma who looked at her with worry. Emma didn't reply and Regina turned around to look for what hit her, that's when she saw a magical blue looking shield, it had a dim look. Ripples formed and wandered over the shield from the place she hit.
"What is this border?" Regina moved aside and turned slightly to look at Emma who had a confused look on her face.
"What border?" Emma frowned and looked at Regina. She couldn't see whatever it was the brunette was hit by.
"This one." Regina gestured at the border whom Emma apparently couldn't see. Emma looked at the place Regina pointed at and saw nothing. She reaching her hand to touch the border but only grasped air. Regina was shocked to see Emma's hand moving through the border as if it wasn't there.
"How is this possible?" Regina questioned. She took one finger and touched the border, it glowed under her touch and suddenly was visible to Emma as well. Emma gasped and quickly draw her hand back.
