Chapter 10: Comet Cave
"Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!" Ash yells as Pikachu fires the electricity and the opponent's Tancoon, causing it to faint in the end. Right now Ash and the group are on the bridge as they are facing against a gentleman named Sir. Goldkorn, he uses Ekans and Tancoon to battle him, but Ash wins in the end.
"I do say! That was a jolly good show! I heard that you are partaking in the league, right? Child?" Sir Goldkorn asks.
"I am, I have two badges." Ash replies.
"I see, then let's hope we will face each other again in the Pokemon League. See you." Then the man just leaves them alone as the group are confused.
Serena says, "So you just had another new rival, right?"
"I guess so." Ash says, "But anyways, we are now at the Comet Cave..."
"You're right. If we head inside, then we should be able to get to the next town." Aurora says.
Just then, they see Theo, who is stopped in front of the cave by a hiker, the hiker says, "The Pokemon are especially hostile in this cave! They are ganging up on trainers! For your safety, we won't allow you to pass. Is that a Bright Gem Badge? Huh! You must be a strong trainer! However, I still don't think I should let you go alone..."
But Theo doesn't buy the words as he yells, "Hey! Why can't I get into this cave?! I'm not afraid of any Pokemon!"
"Theo? Is that you?" Just then, Theo notices the three of them there and he says, "Wait, I know! Me an' Ash, Serena and Aurora can tackle the cave together! Isn't that right, Ash?"
"Huh? Wait, we don't know what's going on here..." Serena says.
Theo says, "Long story short, I want to get past the cave, but it seems that we can't go there alone and we need to go in groups."
"Is that so, then I don't see why not?" Ash says, causing the two girls to feel a little unease at the feeling.
The hiker says, "Well, uh...okay, I guess so. But be careful." Then the four of them enter the cave for a while.
Inside the cave, Theo says, "Why is this place dark? I really hate dark places..."
"Didn't you have a flashlight?" Aurora asks him, and he realizes that he could use it. "I forgot about it, thanks, Aurora."
The group can only sigh, but Ash finds a Pokemon and he says, "Hey, what is that?"
They see that the Pokemon is made of rocks, and Aurora says, "It is the Comite. A Rock Type Pokemon."
Theo says, "So you are going to capture that Pokemon?"
"I guess so." Ash says as he sends out Eletux, using the Water Gun to lower its HP and then captures the Pokemon in the end.
Comite: The Meteorite Pokemon: Rock Type. It can retract its legs into its body and appear to be an ordinary rock. Stories say they arrived on an asteroid.
"So it is kind of an alien like Elgyem or Solrock, Lunatone? That is new." Serena says.
"The Pokemon here are a lot of different from the others after all." Aurora says.
As they move deeper in the cave, they feel a shaking, Serena says, "An Earthquake?"
"I think something is not right here..." Aurora says.
And after that, they hear a loud roar and Theo asks, "Did you hear that?"
"Hear what?" Ash asks, Theo shakes his head and says, "No, it must've just been my imagination..."
Before Ash can ask further, Theo changes the topic and says, "That tremor was nothing! We finally made it to the end!"
But then, some rocks start to fall and both Ash and Serena are separated from Aurora and Theo.
"Aurora! Theo! Are you okay?" Ash yells behind the rocks.
"We are fine, but the rock is blocking us, what about you?" Aurora yells back.
Serena turns around and then her face goes pale while Ash says, "We are fine."
"Um...Ash..." Serena pokes him as he turns around, "What's the...what the?"
They are shocked to see a giant Pokemon with two heads in front of them. Theo asks, "Ash, Serena, what's wrong?"
But they didn't get a reply and Aurora says, "Something must have happened in the other side, right now we should find another way out of the cave."
Theo nods and then they leave, as for Ash and Serena, they look at the Pokedex and known that the Pokemon is Terlard, the evolution of Grozard. They send out Barewl, Lotad and Smore to battle against the Pokemon.
At the same time, Aurora and Theo were also ambushed by the Pokemon as well, but thanks to Aurora's help, they manage to escape, Theo asks, "Why are the Pokemon hostage to us? Just what did we do?"
"I have no idea." Aurora says, but then, they hear people's voice as they hide behind the wall. The people in the other side of the wall is no other than Team Rocket, who is digging the wall.
"Are you sure we will be able to find any rare comet shards in this cave?" James asks.
"Of course, this cave isn't called Comet Cave without a reason." Jessie says.
"And we have to scare away the Pokemon in order to get to this place to mine." Meowth says, "There must to be one comet."
Aurora is listening to their conversation and then she grits her teeth. Theo asks, "Who are they?"
"They are Team Rocket, they have been causing trouble to my brother for a long time. I see they are the reason why the Pokemon are hostile...they chase them away from their home because their own greed." Aurora mutters. "We have to stop them."
Theo nods as he sends out Birbie, Theo says, "Use Air Cutter."
Birbie shoots out the attack, causing the three to get hit. "Alright, who dares to hurt us?" Jessie yells.
"What if we are?" Then they see Aurora and Theo and Meowth says, "It is the twerp's sister!"
"And another twerp as well." James yells, but Theo is angry and he yells, "Who are you calling twerp? Just because I am young doesn't mean I am just a twerp!"
"Calm down, Theo, so you are the ones that made this cave a mess, you are not going to get away from it this time."
"And what if we are the ones? Prepare for trouble if you are here." "And make it double for the shards over there."
"To protect the world from devastation." "To unite our people within our nation."
"To denounce the evils of truth and love." "To extend our reaches to the starts above."
"Jessie." "James." "Team Rocket blast off with the speed of light." "Surrender now, or prepare for a fight." "Meowth, that's right." "Wobbuffet!"
"I don't care with your lame motto or else, you are going down!" Theo yells as he also sends out Raptorch to battle.
"You said that because you don't have any art sense." Jessie says.
"Even the original twerp isn't here, we are still going to take your Pokemon instead." James says as they send out Arbok and Tancoon to battle.
At the same time, Ash and Serena are struggling as the three Pokemon as well as Pikachu are now struggling to stand up, Serena says, "Just how strong is this Terlard?"
"I don't know, but it must also be a Dragon Type, that will explain why our moves doesn't work that much." Ash says.
The Terlard is preparing to use the Magnitude again, but this time Barewl starts to glow and then it uses Protect in front of the group.
"Dearewl!" Ash is delighted to see his Pokemon evolve. Then Serena's other two Pokemon also start to glow and evolve as well.
"Lombre, and Firoke as well." Serena says with a happy smile. Then Dearewl uses the Metal Claw to slash through the Pokemon, and then Lombre uses the Bubble Beam and Firoke uses the Incinerate to send Terlard falling down. And in the end, Pikachu delivers an Iron Tail, causing it to faint.
"We did it." Ash says with a delight smile and he high five with Serena, who is also happy that they manage to defeat the threat.
Dearewl: The Iron Horn Pokemon: Steel and Rock Type. Evolved from Barewl at LV:15. It is a stubborn Pokémon that will always stand its ground, even against a much larger opponent. it uses its horn to dig for metal ore.
Lombre: The Jolly Pokemon: Water and Grass Type. Evolved from Lotad at LV:14. In the evening, it takes great delight in popping out of rivers and startling people. it feeds on aquatic moss that grows on rocks in the riverbed.
Firoke: The Smoking Ant Pokemon: Bug and Fire Type. Evolved from Smore by learning Incinerate. Its belly is filled with super hot lava that it sprays at its opponent through the nozzle on its abdomen. Its aim is precise.
After the Terlard is awake again, Ash and Serena quickly heal the Pokemon and Ash asks, "Why did you attack us?"
The Terlard says, "You humans invade our home because of your greed, right now we don't have any home and it is your fault."
Ash says, "Our fault? Not all humans are evil, if your home is invaded, then can you show us? We will like to help you get your home back."
Terlard nods and then both Ash and Serena ride on its back, and then they start to go to the cave until they find the real culprit.
"Finish it with Flame Wheel!" Theo yells as the Raptorch defeats the Arbok and the Tancoon. "Just how strong is this kid..." James says in shock.
"What should we do now?" Jessie says.
"I think we should retreat for now." Meowth says as he takes out a remote control, a giant digging machine appears and Aurora says, "They have prepared this as well?"
"Now see you later." They are about to retreat, but they are surrounded by a lot of angry Pokemon. And they see the giant Terlard with Ash and Serena on its back.
"Ash, Serena!" Aurora and Theo are delighted that they are okay. Ash says, "Team Rocket...so you are the ones that made the mess..."
"It's the original Twerp and the twerpette." Meowth gasps.
"And look at all those Pokemon, I have a bad feeling about this..."
The Pokemon starts to shake around this place, causing the machine to explode because of the pressure it is giving and then the trio blow out of the hole.
"We're blasting off again!" The trio yells and then they become another shooting star.
After they are outside of the cave, Aurora says, "So you decide to help Terlard to blast them away."
"Yeah, I can't believe all we went through is because of them..." Ash says. "But Theo, I heard from my sister, you are strong to battle those two alone."
"No problem. But my Pokemon are tired because of that battle. I will go heal up my Pokemon and then we will have a rival battle again."
"Sure." Ash says as they bid farewell, then the Ground Type Pokemon behind them also roars at them with gratitude, before they head back inside the cave.
"You there! What happened to all the Pokemon that were going berserk? They calmed down." They see the same hiker approaching them and asks.
After telling him about what Team Rocket did, and he says, "That may have been the problem. I thought it was the Terlard's two heads fighting with each other. You see, when they fight, it riles up other Pokemon in the area."
"But I think that both heads agree that Team Rocket was the threat and attack us." Ash says. "But now that it is done, Now trainers can get through without fear."
"Yeah. That is a good thing." The hiker then leaves as the group alone as they smile at each other, knowing that they did something great.
I decide to change Theo's run away into him fighting Team Rocket, because I really don't like how the game makes Theo a weakling and somehow become stronger than you without a reason. I hope you like it.
