Halloween is the time of the year for scares and spooks. It's also a time for costumes and fun. That's what the rangers were going to have as there was a party going on at the Youth Center.

"This party is going to be so much fun." Abby said with her dressed like a female pirate. It was going to be a costume party and all of them dressed up. Sierra was dressed like a princess. Robby dressed as a vampire. Joey dressed as a zombie. Travis also dressed as a cowboy.

"Especially since I will win best costume." Robby said. "Then again, people will think I didn't try very hard. I look as good as any vampire. I just needed the fangs."

"Whatever. I just know that this party is going to be great." Sierra said.

"Hey, Sierra. What's with the book?" Joey asked as they all spotted she had a book with her.

"Oh... I was just doing a little reading for Halloween." Sierra said. "I always read Sleepy Hollow around this time of the year."

"Sleepy Hollow? Doesn't even sound scary. What is it?" Robby asked. All of them were pretty shocked when he asked that.

"You're kidding, right?" Sierra said. "Sleepy Hollow is one the most famous stories. It features the Headless Horseman that made Ichabod Crane disappear." No bells seems to be ringing for Robby. "I'll tell you later." She said as she put the book down. "So where are Valerie and David?"

"They're still working on David's costume, but they said they meet us at the party." Travis said.

"What are we waiting for? This zombie crazes partying like brains." Joey said as he walked like a zombie with the others following. When they left, Vyla showed herself and grabbed Sierra's book.

"This story might be more interesting than you might think, rangers." Vyla said.

...

Scarlie's Palace

"You want me to do what?" Scarlie said. Vyla came back to the palace and showed her the book.

"Use your magic to bring this Headless Horseman to life." Vyla said. "Rather than wasting one of our own monsters, we can use this monster to deal with the rangers."

"Why would I do that?" Scarlie said.

"What good can that monster do?" Zabaro said.

"A lot once Scarlie's magic is added to make him more powerful and he obeys us." Vyla said. "Apparently, this a famous figure in literature. He made someone named Crane disappear and he was never seen again. What if he could do the same with the rangers?"

"That actually sounds great." Scarlie said. "Let me have the book. I think it might work." Vyla handed Scarlie the book and she used her scepter on the book. There was a great flash that shot out of the book and the Headless Horseman himself was brought to life.

"I still don't see what's so great about a headless monster." Zabaro said. "How is he going to fight when he can't see?"

"I'm sure it will all work." Vyla said. "We'll send him down to Earth. There's a costume party going on and the rangers won't have a clue that he's there. Perhaps we needed something from Earth to destroy them and destroy them he will."

...

The Youth Center

The rangers went to the party and it was already a hit. Lots of great costumes and Halloween decorations. Everyone was having fun. Joey really showed off his zombie moves with how he danced around.

"Easy, Joey. You don't want a limb to fall off, do you?" Travis said.

"If it does, you know your dancing the day away." Joey said. The girls hanged back together and had a look around.

"What a fun party." Sierra said.

"I know. There are lots of great costumes. I wonder who is going to win the best one." Abby said. This party was going to be filled with surprises...like the fact that Gamma just walked in. Abby alerted Sierra about this and they were both shocked to see him. Gamma spotted Robby and walked right over.

"Hi, Robby." Gamma said.

"Hi, Gamma. Gamma!" Robby said as he realized Gamma was in public. "What are you doing here?"

"Halloween is the one day of the year I can actually come out into the world and I wanted to spend it with you guys." Gamma said.

"Well, you have a great chance of winning best costume." Robby said.

"What costume?" Gamma said. Gamma wasn't the only that arrived at the party. The Headless Horseman arrived at the party as well and no one had a clue he was a real monster.

...

Scarlie's Palace

"I'll be... It actually worked." Scarlie said as she observed her new monster. "He really walked in there and no one seems to suspect a thing. Dumb humans."

"Now that he's in the party, he can get close to the rangers to destroy them and they won't suspect a thing." Vyla said and Scarlie was doing her pre-victory laugh.

"I can already smell victory!" Scarlie said.

...

The Party

Gamma was a real hit at the party. The girls seem to think his "costume" was more than splendid.

"What a great costume."

"Yeah. What a cutie."

"I love to find out who he is."

"Uh... Yeah. Thanks, ladies." Gamma said.

"Man, no fair." Joey said as the guys stood together. "Gamma shows up and all the girls are all over him. Little do they know about the truth." Travis found this amusing, but he noticed something interesting.

"Check it out." Travis said as he pointed to the Headless Horseman. "What a coincidence. We were just talking about Sleepy Hollow and someone comes in wearing a horseman costume without a head. I wonder who he is."

"I don't know." Joey said.

"Well, I'm only guessing here, but is it possible that's David?" Robby questioned and the others were wondering that as well. The Headless Horseman spotted the three of them and walked right over to them and was getting ready to pull out his sword.

"David? Is that you in there?" Travis asked. All they could hear was groaning and such.

"Dude, pop your head out so you can talk." Joey said.

"Wait. I have a fun idea." Robby said as he grabbed a bottle of water and poured it down where his head was suppose to be. However, they saw a small bit of steam come out and he was freaking out as he ran right out of there. "Dude, wait! I'm sorry! I was trying to be funny!" Robby called as he followed after him and the others thought that was really weird.

...

Outside

The Headless Horseman ran right outside and moved away from the Youth Center. Robby followed after him, but before he could talk, Zabaro appeared right in front of him and Robby hid.

"What do you think you're doing?" Zabaro said. The horseman tried to explain himself, but all he could say were grunts and groans. "Oh... That's right. You don't have a mouth to talk. Just get back there and destroy the rangers while you still can. He brought you to life from that book for a reason."

"He's really one of Scarlie's monsters? Not good." Robby said. He thought he was well hidden, but Zabaro was able to spot a part of his costume. Zabaro fired energy blasts near Robby and forced him to come out of hiding.

"Blue Ranger! You should know better than to spy. Get him!" Zabaro said. The horseman pulled out his sword and went on the attack. He swung his sword at him, but Robby stayed out of his reach. Robby kicked him in the gut and gave him another kick to knock him back.

"I've got to tell the others." Robby said as he hurried back inside. The horseman was going to go after him, but Zabaro stopped him.

"Forget it. Now that the rangers know the truth, our only choice is to attack the city. They'll come to us." Zabaro said as the two of them left.

...

The Youth Center

"Hey, guys." Sierra said as she came over with Abby. "Where's that horseman you were talking about?"

"He just ran out and Robby went after to apologize. Robby tried playing a friendly joke and he didn't take it well." Travis said.

"You think that guys was really David?" Joey said, but they weren't sure.

"Hey!" Valerie called out as she entered the place as a female Sherlock Holmes. "Sorry we're late." David came in as well and he was dressed as a skeleton with his face painted.

"We just had a few bones to pick." David said as he laughed.

"Wow! Great costumes!" Abby said.

"Wait. David, where's your horseman costume?" Travis said.

"Horseman? I'm obviously a skeleton." David said.

"No, there was someone in here earlier dressed as the Headless Horseman from Sleepy Hollow. We thought he was you." Joey said.

"Guys, we just got here. I was with David the whole time." Valerie said.

"So who did Robby go after?" Joey questioned. That was right when Robby came running back in and right over to them.

"Guys, we got a big problem." Robby said. "That horseman guy we saw earlier is really one of Scarlie's actual monsters."

"What?" Sierra said as they all seemed shocked.

"It turns out she brought that horseman from that book you were telling me to life." Robby said. None of them found this good.

"We better tell Zultro what's going on." Travis said. He went over to get Gamma who still had girls all over him. "Gamma, we got trouble. We need to go."

"Aw... I was having fun." Gamma said as Travis grabbed him and helped him out as they all hurried out of there.

...

The Command Center

Zultro was at work, but he heard all of them teleport in. The timing was actually perfect.

"Zultro, we got trouble." Travis said.

"I know. I was just about to contact you. Look." Zultro said as he showed images on the computer and showed the horseman was attacking Angel Grove. "Scarlie has brought the Headless Horseman from Sleepy Hollow to life and has made him more powerful."

"Oh man. How are we suppose to fight that?" David said.

"The horseman might be powerful, but he's not without a weakness. No one is without one." Zultro said. "You need to find his and destroy this monster or else this one monster might not be destroyed." This was certainly a dangerous monster they were dealing with, but they have to fight. Time for another costume change.

"It's morphin time!" Travis said.

"White Spinosaur!"

"Green Plesiosaur!"

"Black Ankylosaur!"

"Pink Pterodactyl!"

"Blue Triceratops!"

"Yellow Parasaur!"

"Red Tyrannosaurus!"

...

Angel Grove

Once the rangers morphed, they headed down to Angel Grove and confront this story demon. However, once they arrived, there was no sign of him anywhere.

"Where is that headless freak?" Joey said.

"Careful. He's got to be around here somewhere." Travis said.

"Wait. Do you hear that?" Abby said as they heard a galloping sound. They turned around and spotted the horseman on a horse and was heading their way. He charged through them and slashed them with his sword. Once he got past them, he jumped off his horse and went at them again. All of them tried to fight him back, but he was a tough one as he used his sword and slashed against each one of them.

"I got him!" Valerie said as she tried at him, but he just slashed at her and knocked her down. He was about to finish her, but David grabbed him by the arm and pushed him back. However, he fired fireballs from his sword and blasted him. Joey and Travis pulled out their weapons and jumped in the air to try and attack him, but he blocked both of them and slashed against both of them.

"This guy is as strong as he is creepy." Joey said.

"And I think he's just getting started." Travis said. Travis was right as the horseman formed a jack-o-lantern and tossed it at the rangers with it combusting and blasted all of them with a great flame.

"We better think of something or we're in trouble." Abby said.

"Sierra, you read the book. How do they get rid of this guy?" Robby asked.

"You really need to read the book. They never destroyed him." Sierra said. "In his last scene, he chased Ichabod to a bridge and he wouldn't cross the bridge. He just through his pumpkin head at him and Crane disappeared."

"Wait." Travis said. "He wouldn't cross a bridge because there was water on the other side. Earlier at the party, he freaked out because of the water Robby poured on him. Maybe water is his weakness."

"Are you saying we just need to get him wet?" David said.

"Follow me." Travis said as the five of them got up and started running. The horseman called for his horse and rode after them.

"Hurry! He's gonna catch us with that horse!" Abby said.

"No he's not. I see where we're heading." David said as he jumped back. He landed on the horse and tried to take control and hold the horseman back. "Giddy up!" David tried to take control as the horseman tried to shake him off. David held on and kept going down the road with the others moving out of the way. David kept riding the horse and saw the river coming. "I think this is your stop." David had the horse come to a sudden stop and caused the horseman to fly right off the horse. The horseman fell right in the water and it was burning the evil that made him.

"It's working." Travis said as they could see the horseman unable to hold himself together and ended up destroyed.

"Too bad Crane never knew about that." Valerie said as the rangers did what no one back in Sleepy Hollow could.

...

Scarlie's Palace

"No! No! No! No!" Scarlie shouted. "Way to go with the great plan, Vyla! I should have known that plan would have failed!"

"How was I suppose to know he would hate water? Besides, Zabaro was the one that told him to attack the city." Vyla said. "He would have finished the rangers if Zabaro didn't blow his cover."

"Shut up. You're not blaming this on me." Zabaro said.

"That's my line! Both of you shut up!" Scarlie said as she was running out of patience with both of them. "Happy Halloween? Phewy." There is no happy in Happy Halloween for Scarlie.

...

The Party

Now that the Headless Horseman is back to being just a fictional character, the rangers could enjoy the party again. Fighting against that monster certainly was interesting, but now they can enjoy themselves.

"Man, dealing with that freak gives new definition to heads rolling." Joey said.

"You said it. Which reminds me, I'm giving you a lesson about that book Robby. You really need to know how it goes." Sierra said.

"I just hope we made it back in time to see who is declared best costume." Valerie said. "I already deduced the fan favorite." They all looked and saw Gamma was back at the party with the girls enjoying it.

"Wow, Gamma. You're a hit." David said.

"They really like me." Gamma said.

"Attention! I'm about to announce the best costume!" All of them looked as "Dracula" was about to give the blue ribbon prize. "The winner is...whoever this guy is." He gave the ribbon to Gamma and everyone cheered.

"Whose the mystery winner?" The girls really wanted to know.

"Sorry, but this mystery will remain unsolved." Gamma said as he began to leave, but people really wanted to know. Everyone has their own idea of Halloween fun. Happy Halloween from the Power Rangers.
