"Previously, on Total Drama Revenge of the Cruise Ship..." Chris began the recap, sitting in the captain's quarters with Chef in the passenger seat before the footage from the previous episode would play. "We travelled to Thailand, where pretty much every cheap toy is made! There, our contestants searched a parking lot booth for keys to a go kart and raced them along the coast and through a jungle against each other! Thanks to Alex's scheming, Noah was swiftly given the boot! But Valerie tied with him in votes thanks to her attitude, so I made both of them take the cannon out! Who will go in this time? Will it be another double elimination? Find out right here, on Total, Drama, Revenge of the Cruise Ship!"
Max was sleeping in the boiler room of the cruise ship, it being around 9 am on the ship. He had decided to make the room his new evil lair, although he was in for a rude awakening as Chef began to make breakfast. He took a super hot ball of gas to the face thanks to Chef using the stove. Max woke up and screamed in pain instantly, running towards the exit and slamming straight into the wall in his panicked state. "Gah! Foul steam! Begone!" he yelled as he flailed his arms and ran onto the deck of the ship.
As he ran outside, he bumped right into Raphael who was on his morning jog. "Woah there! Did you need help little soldier?" Raphael asked Max as he helped him up from the ground.
Max backed away from Raphael quickly, angered that he even offered to help. "Of course not you fool! For I am eeeeeeevil! Evil takes help from no one!" Max yelled at him, before quickly running off to the cafeteria and just leaving Raphael confused at what just happened in the short moment. Raphael just resumed his morning run, going the opposite way as Max.
-Confessional: Raphael-
"Max is really weird, like... really weird. I don't think he would last very long if he were to try and join the military."

Yvette was in the hangout room by herself for once, since she had won the challenge in Thailand and chose not to invite anyone to join her. She was working on some kind of touch screen device in the corner with the television, just letting it play episodes of Total Drama Pahkitew Island. "Hmm... so if this goes here then..." she muttered to herself as she was mixing the wires with her current Pahkitew controller and the touchscreen, having a plastic shell on the table to cover it all once it was done. The design was most comparable to a red-orange Wii U gamepad.
Her mostly quiet working time was interrupted quickly though as a knock came on the door to the room, making her groan and walk over to it. She adjusted her glasses and made sure they were on right before opening it up to see Amber standing there. "Greetings Amber. Was there some matter that needed my attending?" Yvette asked her, just glad to see that it wasn't Max.
Amber nodded her head, looking back for a brief moment to make sure no one else was there. "Umm, yes. I'd like to talk with you over some breakfast if that's fine. I figured you must get lonely having this whole room to yourself!" Amber replied, with a lot less of her usual pep that she had a tendency to carry.
Yvette nodded and opened up the door all the way, letting Amber into the hangout room. She hadn't been in here ever since their last team win, so it was great to spend some time in her again. "Thanks Yvette, this room is probably the best thing to come out of going on this show. Oh! But I didn't just come here to freeload! Speaking of which, when does breakfast arrive here?" Amber asked her, sitting down on one of the bean bag chairs.
Yvette walked over to the coffee table in front of the table and grabbed a bowl of what looked like trail mix. "There is enough for both of us already here for breakfast. A healthy mix of chia seeds, raspberries, and pecans. A great source of fiber and an excellent start to your day." Yvette walked over to one of the bean bag chairs near Amber and sat down, setting the bowl down between them.
Amber looked at the bowl, giggling a little before looking back at Yvette. "So this is the side right? The pancakes or something will be brought in pretty soon? I haven't been in here before, so I don't know how it works." Amber asked, not realizing that Yvette was serious.
Yvette shook her head, reaching into the bowl and getting a small handful of a mix of the contents. "This is what I requested for breakfast. High carbohydrate foods are not neccessary in a proper healthy diet. Pecans are great for boosting cognitive processes as well, I learned that from a friend. That's why they are commonly fed to pigs to train them." Yvette explained, gesturing to the bowl with her free hand for Amber to take some.
-Confessional: Amber-
"Pecans? Chia seeds? Is this what nerds usually eat? I've got a little more respect for all those geeks in school now if that's the case."
-End Confessional-
Amber hesitantly reached into the bowl and grabbed a handful of nuts and berries, not taking any seeds. "I guess if it's healthy it's fine. Thanks Yvette." Amber thanked her before popping the raspberries into her mouth and chewing.
Yvette pulled out her notepad, having quickly finished her handful. "It is no problem, you are here to talk me into becoming your ally, so I would like to hear your reasoning behind why I should do that." Yvette asked her, stunning Amber that she already knew what she was really here for.
It took Amber a second to figure out how to respond to that, but she shook off the shock and leaned back in her seat quickly. "Well I just lost Valerie, and you just lost Richard recently. Katniss lost Noah as well, so I was thinking the three of us could form a girls' alliance and push ourselves to the final three?" Amber proposed, which didn't surprise Yvette at all.
The nerd jotted something down in her notepad and then crossed something else out, looking at Amber with mild suspicion afterwards. "I predicted as much. You are on the rebound after losing your most key ally and friend. Interesting that you would come to me for help though. I will agree to join your alliance though, as it mutually benefits both of us." Yvette said, delighting Amber.
Amber stood up from her seat once she heard the news she wanted to hear, grabbing Yvette's hand and shaking it excitedly. "Thank you, thank you! This means a lot to me! I'll try and get Katniss on our side now, bye!" Amber exclaimed, before hurrying out the room. She mostly just didn't want to tell Yvette that she found her breakfast weird and would rather eat whatever Chef was making.
As soon as Amber left, Yvette walked back over to her Pahkitew controller in the works, taking a seat in front of it and looked up at the television. Currently, the fifth episode of the show was playing, right when Scarlett hurled an eel at Max's dueling stick to shock Ella. "Oh Scarlett, such great ideas you come up with..." Yvette stopped her work to just watch the episode, filled with admiration.
-Confessional: Yvette-
"My ultimate controller is nearly complete. I took the screen from our go-karts in Thailand, along with the transmitter that detected whenever we drove over an item panel. With these, who knows what I could do? I could take over the entire island with just a tap on this screen!"
-End Confessional-
In the cafeteria, everyone else besides Raphael was eating their breakfast from Chef. Today, he had served waffles that were missing the individual ridges inside. So there was just one big crater in each waffle instead of little squares. "These are just smashed in pancakes I feel like." Marty commented, sitting with Tristan and Alex while pouring syrup into the crater.
Tristan chuckled, seeing what Marty meant by just looking at the waffles in front of him. "Oh yeah, maybe Chef just took the leftovers and smashed a spatula into all of them!" Tristan joked, making a squashing down motion with his left hand.
Alex watched the two of them converse while eating his waffles, in a much more relaxed mood today now that Noah was gone. "Do you guys really think Chef would even go through the effort of that?" Alex remarked, just a little quietly so Chef wouldn't hear them.
The three of them laughed together, while Katniss on the other side of the cafeteria just watching them with envy. She had already finished her waffles, being the quick eater that she was, but now she had nothing to do but be jealous of the others that still had their friends with them. Wolfy had just gotten her food and saw Katniss sitting by herself, so she took pity and decided to sit down with her. "Hey Katniss, how are you doing?" Wolfy asked her, setting her tray down across from Katniss and taking a seat.
Katniss looked at Wolfy with just a bit of envy as well, knowing just how many friends she supposedly had. "Not good. Noah is gone, and I have no friends here!" Katniss answered, looking ready to cry now.
Wolfy reached over and patted her shoulder, giving her a comforting smile. "Come on now, you've got other friends besides Noah! All of us girls are here for each after all. Amber and Yvette are nice right?" Wolfy reasoned, which got to Katniss to think about more than just Noah now.
Katniss nodded slowly, resting her head on her palm and letting out a sigh. "I know. I'm just really sad okay? Noah helped me a lot when he was here." Katniss acknowledged Wolfy's point, but that didn't just make her sorrow disappear.
Wolfy understood where Katniss was coming from, so she just grabbed one of her waffles off of her tray and put it on Katniss's, just as a little bit of compensation. "Well, you can be sad about him being gone, but don't forget you have other friends! That'd be like if one of my friends went away. I still have the rest of them! Noah isn't gone forever either, you'll still be able to see him once the show is over!" Wolfy still tried to cheer her up, hating to see her like this regardless.
Katniss looked at the waffle in front of her, sighing again and then just eating it normally. She was still fast, but it was nowhere near the wolfing down she had displayed at the beginning of the season. "Thanks." she let out between chews, eating away her sadness.
-Confessional: Wolfy-
"Wow, Noah sure did mess her up. He made her dependent on him practically! I'm glad Alex was able to snuff him out. We'd be in a pretty rough spot if Noah was still here, so I guess this was a band aid we'd have to rip off for Katniss eventually."
-End Confessional-
There wasn't time for usual talk however, as after just a few minutes of everyone eating their breakfast, the loudspeakers on the ship blared with a typical military siren, before Chris's voice came through. "Ten hut! Travellers, you're all called for duty as we have now reached our destination! Last one there drops and gives me ten!" Chris announced in his best impression of Chef, then just blew his airhorn through the speaker for the heck of it.
All nine contestants hurried to and down the off ramp of the ship, where Chris and Chef were waiting for them with today's familiar cadet guest. Chris had a battle helmet on and Chef was wearing his military officer outfit instead of his Chef's outfit. The last one to step onto the ground from the off ramp was Raphael, although it seemed like that was intentional as he right away dropped down to do his pushups before anyone could even tell him to. "This is just more for my workout, thanks Chris!" Raphael thanked him as he quickly did his ten pushups.
Chris facepalmed, since Raphael missed the whole point of the pushups to begin with. "Raphael, those pushups were supposed to be for a punishment. But whatever, you all will be going through the gruelling and rigorous training that cadets must go through here at Camp Red Cloud in Uijeongbu, South Korea!" Chris introduced the challenge, just further hyping up Raphael.
Chef had a wide grin on his face as he looked at the teens, pulling up his aviators for a quick second to see how many were already terrified. "You maggots are gonna be whipped into shape today! When you come out of this challenge all the way through, you'll be perfect finale machines! So let's get jogging! You all will address me as Master Chief!" Chef commanded, before walking over to a golf cart and sitting in the driver's seat.
"Wait, so you want us to jog, but you're just going to kick back and drive a golf cart? How is that fair?" Amber asked, putting her hands on her hips and raising an eyebrow. She wasn't surprised, but at the same time she expected better from Chef compared to Chris.
Her question wasn't answered by Chef though, being handled by the cadet guest, Brick. "No questioning Master Chief! You were given an order, and you must follow it! That is your duty as a soldier, take orders! Master Chief fought in the Vietnam War he'll have you know!" Brick barked at Amber, now starting to jog while Chef drove beside him. Everyone else soon followed suit, with the more athletic contestants up in the front.
-Confessional: Yvette-
"Chef's claims of being in the Vietnam War are false. Canada only supported it's allies with supplies and peacekeeping during the war, rather than sending their own soldiers. Despite Canada's reputation, our nation has taken part in a numerous amount of wars, but Chef chose one of the only ones in the modern era we did not."
-End Confessional-
Chef and Brick led the contestants down a trail through a forest to head to the military camp, although it was clear that a certain few were not cut out for this kind of challenge. Yvette, Max, and Amber in particular were lagging behind the rest of the contestants. "Hurry up slackers! We don't have all day! War is upon us!" Chef yelled at them, which quickly frightened Katniss.
"War!? Oh no! We don't have anything! They're gonna get us!" Katniss yelled, quickly annoying Chef.
Wolfy tapped her shoulder, since she was jogging right behind her. "It's just part of the military stuff Katniss. There isn't an actual war." Wolfy assured her, quickly calming Katniss back down before she had an actual breakdown.
Raphael was the only one who was enjoying this part of the challenge it seemed, jogging side by side with Brick. "How long is this trail Master Chief? We've travelled a good distance now and some of our platoon is rather weary." Raphael asked, gesturing to those in the back.
"The jog is done when I say it's done! We've got another five miles to go before we get to camp, so keep moving!" Chef answered loudly, just so everyone else could hear him. A collective groan could be heard from the back, since they were already plenty tired.
Katniss was keeping up as well, although she wasn't enjoying it like Raphael was. The contestants running in the middle of the group, Alex, Marty, and Tristan, were all just jogging at a moderate pace so they wouldn't lose their breath. "This challenge better have a good reward behind it, since a marathon is the last thing I wanted to do today." Marty said in annoyance as he jogged, his legs feeling like pudding already.
Tristan was doing the best of the three of them, mostly just hanging back to talk with them instead of jogging normally in the front. "Come on dudes, this isn't that bad right? We've got no obstacles or anything yet, just some jogging." Tristan looked at the bright side, but it was hard for the other two to see it when they just wanted to drop to the ground and rest.
"Easy for you to say Tristan. You're actually fit, so this is way easier for you. Big news, not all of us like to run our hearts out for fun." Marty remarked, not having the patience for Tristan's usual additions to conversations.
Alex nodded in agreement with him, nearly tripping over a small log just after he did so. "Yeah, you and Raph are probably the only ones who have a shot at winning this challenge, since everyone else will just be out of energy by the time we get to the camp." Alex said, starting to slow down in his pace, then picking it right back up so he wouldn't get left behind.
Tristan wasn't a fan of being put on the same level as Raphael, but he didn't say anything about him afterwards. "Well I guess I'll try to win. Chef is pretty strict though, and I don't think Chris would just let you guys sit out either. Everyone will probably have to participate. Big bummer, but that's what the dude would do." Tristan said, forgetting all the challenges where people could lose miday through.
-Confessional: Tristan-
"Ugh, this is really buggin' me. I tried to get rid of Raphael earlier this season. But since I couldn't thanks my stupid team, now he's just here as a big challenge threat! I'll have to do something about him fast before he just gets on a dominating streak."
-End Confessional-
After another hour of jogging, they contestants finally arrived at the camp. Well, a good chunk of them did. Raphael and Katniss were still fine, moreso Raphael since the jog was practically part of his routine back home. "Whew, that was a great warmup! Right everyone?" he asked his fellow competitors, but they were all too tired to speak. Wolfy collasped onto the ground, since she had well overexerted herself trying to keep up with Katniss.
Brick and Chef were the only ones still not tuckered out besides him, although Chef had just drove his golf cart the whole way here, so he really didn't count. "Well said cadet! The real fun begins once everyone takes five, we didn't cut back on anything for you soldiers!" Brick chuckled, crossing his arms and now waiting for everyone else to show up.
Tristan wasn't far behind, arriving with Marty and Alex walking behind him miserably. "Ugh... are my legs even there anymore?" Marty groaned, before also just collasping onto the ground near Wolfy now that they had reached the camp.
Alex didn't collapse, although he did sit down next to Marty on the ground and stretch. "They still are, but they can't be that helpful anymore. That was miserable." Alex said, rubbing his own legs while resting.
Amber came running after a couple of minutes, stopping and panting as soon as she arrived at the camp. "I'm not too late am I?" Amber asked, kneeling down and trying to catch her breath.
Chef shook his head, then bringing his whistle to his mouth and blowing it. It was supposed to startle them, but it was a whisper compared to Chris's airhorn, so it barely affected them. "Nope! You seven maggots look good enough to move on! If you thought what you just did was tough, that was only a warmup!" Chef yelled at them, stepping out of his golf cart.
Yvette soon arrived right after Chef announced who was moving on, dragging Max by the leg behind her. Before she could even say anything, Chef marched up to the two of them angrily. "As for you two whelps, you are out of the challenge! No slackers will be joining my troop!" Chef scolded them while Yvette finally let go of Max.
Amber saw that Yvette was being disqualified though, and walked over to Chef before he could announce what they would do next. "That's not fair! Yvette was dragging Max here so he wouldn't get left behind!" Amber protested, trying to prove to Yvette that she was loyal.
Brick heard her reasoning and gave a nod of approval. "She's clear Master Chief! No soldier left behind, that's the code!" Brick stated, giving Yvette a quick salute.
Chef couldn't argue with that, since Brick knew way more about the military than he did. "Alright fine! You're still in maggot! Now hurry up so we can get this challenge done!" Chef ordered, now leading the eight of them away while Brick hoisted an exhausted Max up and set him down in the golf cart.
-Confessional: Yvette-
"I was merely dragging Max because that oaf is incapable of helping himself in any circumstance. Amber is proving to be a useful ally right away. Perhaps I will give this girls' alliance a chance. Although I need none of them to get rid of Max."
-Confessional: Amber-
"Hopefully Yvette will stick with us now that she knows I really mean it! Katniss and I are already friends, since Valerie is now gone, same goes for Wolfy. So we'll be a tightly-knit foursome to cruise to the finale! Hehe, cruise."
-End Confessionals-
Chef led the eight of them through the mostly barren military camp, since it was currently not in use. All the tents and vehicles were still around, but no other soldiers to be seen. "This place seems pretty legit... are you sure this is safe for us to be here Chef-dude?" Tristan asked Chef, looking around the camp.
"You refer to me as Master Chief maggot!" Chef corrected Tristan sternly, ignoring his question entirely. Tristan nodded and now turned away, not wanting to say another word to Chef now.
Brick had the answer for him though, looking back at him now while marching next to Raphael. "This military installation is in the process of being shut down, so the soldiers that were here have already been moved, sir!" Brick answered loudly, keeping a professional tone.
Amber rolled her eyes at Brick's loud tone, but she wasn't going to say anything after he had just helped her out. "That explains why we're even allowed her to begin with then. Sending teens into an active military base sounds like a recipe for lawsuits." Amber commented, looking around as well and seeing the complete lack of people in the camp.
Chef stopped the march once they arrived at a practice shooting range, with nine dummies and nine paintball guns leaning against a fence. The dummies were exactly 100 feet away from the fence, and it was quite clear what the next part of the challenge was going to be. "Alright maggots! Your first challenge proved if you're fit, now we'll see how many of you would be useful on the battlefield!" Chef announced, grabbing the ninth paintball gun that would end up unused and cocking it.
Brick stepped forward to explain what they had to do for Chef, pointing at the dummies. "You will use your paintball guns to attempt to land a headshot on the dummies! Any soldier that opens fire on another will be instantly eliminated, as no good soldier partakes in friendly fire! You will have two minutes, and those that have landed a headshot will move on in the challenge!" Brick explained, pulling out a stopwatch and starting the timer.
Chef had his paintball aimed at the contestants just to scare them while they tried to shoot and get their headshot within the time limit. Although it only took exactly three seconds for Raphael to cock his paintball gun, aim, and fire, which ended up being a dead on hit right to where the dummy's nose would be. Chef watched in amazement while Brick gave a nod of approval. "Well done soldier! I can tell you've honed your marksmanship!" Brick complimented Raphael who set his paintball gun back down as quickly as he had picked it up.
-Confessional: Raphael-
"I hate to say it, but I lucked out on this challenge. Did Chris make these challenges before actually selecting us? Not to brag, but I was one of the best shots back home in the academy!"
-Confessional: Tristan-
"This is exactly what I was afraid of! He's just going to make everything that much more difficult!"
-End Confessionals-
The pressure was now on for everyone else as the timer continued ticking, and they had less than two minutes to get their successful shot. Katniss was trying to figure out how to even use the gun, while Tristan was just taking a rapid fire approach and just hoping that one of his paintballs would eventually land. "How does Chris expect any of us besides the literal military cadet to do this?" Tristan complained, as none of his shots were making it even on the dummy itself, let alone near the head.
Amber tried to aim her paintball gun and fire, but right away her first few shots went right to the ground as the distance made it difficult to aim properly. "This feels like Chris expected all of us to be like Raphael." Amber agreed with Tristan, since she was having even more trouble than he was.
"That isn't a requirement. Anyone is capable of aiming a firearm with proper precision." Yvette quipped, narrowing her eyes as she aimed her paintball gun, before firing and hitting the left eye of the dummy in her first shot. "Make sure you have proper posture, with your chest and toes facing your target, along with keeping the gun centered with your body." she added, while Brick gave a few small claps.
Alex was following Yvette's instructions as she spoke, not wanting to miss them. After adjusting his body and holding her paintball gun as told, Alex pushed the trigger and fired out a few paintballs. Some of them flew past the dummy, but one of them ended up hitting it's chin. "Yes! Got it!" Alex cheered for himself, pumping his fist in the air after setting his gun down.
The timer was already down to just over a minute, so now Tristan was worried about his spray strategy not working. Yvette was walking away from the shooting range when he hurried over to her, tapping her shoulder. "Hey Yvette, can you show me how hit the dummy on the face? Your directions sounded pretty good." Tristan asked her, to which Yvette crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow at his request.
"My directions were meant for everyone at that one moment. Didn't you say that our deal was over for real as well back in Turkey? I'm afraid that I am no longer able to help you, as I was too useless for your own goal." Yvette told him with a small smirk on her face.
Tristan stammered for a moment, unsure of how to come back from that. "Dude, you're still holding onto that? That was just a joke, c'mon!" Tristan fake laughed, trying to play it off that way.
Yvette shook her head, turning away from him and walking away. "Sure, next time you kick me down to the ground and call me useless, I'll be sure to laugh, now that I am aware of the satirical meaning." Yvette remarked sarcastically, leaving him to deal with shooting the dummy on his own.
-Confessional: Tristan-
"This really really sucks. First Raphael becomes a challenge juggernaut, now the dweeb falls out of my hold! What's next? I get voted off? At least I know I'm safe from something like that for now today."
-End Confessional-
The timer had gotten down to 30 seconds left, and those still trying to shoot weren't having any success. Marty was getting closer with every few shots, but still not getting anywhere near hitting the face of the dummy. "This would be a lot easier if you weren't aiming at us, Master Chief." Marty said, glaring at Chef for a moment who still had his paintball gun aimed at them.
Wolfy had taken a few shots as well, but none of them even hit the ground in her view, sailing over the dummy to who knows where. She was about ready to just put her gun down and give up, but then a quick idea popped into her head. She stood straight and lined the gun right up with the dummy. Wolfy then proceeded to fire a barrage of paintballs in a purely vertical line from the ground up. Because of this, she created a line of blue paint that covered the middle of the dummy, including the face. "Whew! I came up with that one on my own!" Wolfy cheered for herself, not needing her friends' knowledge for once.
Brick gave a thumb up, since she did in fact hit the dummy's face... multiple times repeatedly. "Well done soldier! The rest of you have 10 more seconds!" Brick congratulated her, sending the four who hadn't landed a hit into a more desperate struggle.
Katniss had finally figured out how to fire her paintball gun, but her aim was way off when she fired and the paintballs hit the ground near the dummy. Amber and Tristan were both spraying their paintballs now, but still to no avail. Marty was trying to be careful with his shots, but they still kept missing. A couple of them covered the dummy's torso, but none hit the face.
Soon enough, the timer ran out and Brick blew his own whistle. "Time's up soldiers! Your four don't have the marksmanship to cut it in this platoon!" Brick told Marty, Amber, Tristan, and Katniss, who all set their guns down now.
Chef looked to the four still in the challenge with a grin, rubbing his hands together evilly for a moment. "Oh ho ho, you are going to have quite the doozy on this final part of the challenge! Come with me maggots! The rest of you turds come along as well to watch someone else win what you couldn't!" Chef ordered, while Max finally arrived at the shooting range after resting for a while.
"What's going on? And why did you leave the most evil one out of it!?" Max demanded an answer, before taking a paintball to the stomach from Chef.
"You lost turd! Now hurry up and follow us!" Chef yelled at him, turning and marching with the rest of the contestants and Brick further into the camp.
-Confessional: Max-
"That darned Chef will pay for firing at me! Only I am supposed to do the shooting of the innocent! That's what true evil does! Which is what I am!"
-End Confessional-
Chef led the contestants further into the camp for a 10 minute walk, finally stopping when they arrived at a massive obstacle course that looked more like something out of a platformer video game than an actual military course. "Okay, this is nothing like back at the academy, this was definitely set up by Chris." Raphael commented, since the course itself was very colorful compared to everything else in the camp.
The course began on top of a platform ten feet in the air, with led down onto a seven foot tall slide with a curve practically hurling the contestants onto a platform four feet in the air that had several swinging wrecking balls made of rubber for the extra bounce. After that was a set of 12 swinging monkey bars in a straight line. The last part of the course was just a race to the finish line on a wide platform that went for fifty feet. The only obstacles on the last platform were pits that dropped down onto spikes. The whole course was raised over a mud pit just for extra misery.
"That last part seems really dangerous. Those spikes could easily skewer any of our bodies. Is this really legal?" Amber asked worriedly, having plenty of suspicion now that Chris hadn't gotten this course approved.
"You all signed the contract, so it's legal for you all!" Chef barked back, not really answering Amber's question which was more about the safety. "Alright, the four of you maggots, climb up to the top and get ready to start! If you fall, you go all the way back! The challenge doesn't end until someone crosses the finish line!" Chef ordered, pointing to the starting platform.
Raphael, Yvette, Alex, and Wolfy were all soon at the top of the starting platform, looking down at the course. "I don't like the look of this..." Wolfy said with a very nervous tone, the slide down onto the next platform looking scary enough to her.
Alex put one hand on her shoulder, giving her a comforting smile. "No need to worry. You can do this! You handled the first parts fine, so what's the big difference here?" Alex assured her, giving Wolfy some much needed confidence.
Wolfy closed her eyes and took a deep breath, gaining some composure. "Yeah! I can do this!" Wolfy shouted, more determined than scared.
As soon as Chef blew his whistle, Wolfy was the first one to hop onto the slide and fly back up into the air for a moment. "Woahhh!" she yelled as she came up, not expected to get this much air from the slide. She landed on her back on the way down, although she was able to stand up and brush it off still.
Alex came down the slide next and flew up in a similar fashion to Wolfy, but instead landing on his stomach instead of his back, faceplanting on the platform. He stood up and rubbed his nose, since it now stung quite a bit. "Ugh, that slide must be extra slippery or something." Alex complained, now looking at the swinging wrecking balls going back and forth along the narrow walkway.
Raphael came down the slide after Alex and landing sitting down so it wouldn't hurt as much. He didn't say a word, getting up on his feet and running straight at the walkway to get a lead. Yvette was the last one to go down the slide, mostly because she had analyzed how to land safely based on the slope of the slide. When she came down and back up, she easily landed on her feet and took off after Raphael as well. "I would highly suggest not hesitating, this is a race after all." Yvette told Alex and Wolfy as she ran by.
-Confessional: Raphael-
"I don't mean to sound over-confident, but I'm pretty sure that I have this challenge won. This my kind of thing, no way I can lose!"
-Confessional: Tristan-
"Of course Raphael is going to win this challenge, and then the next one, and one after that, all the way until the finale. Great."
-End Confessionals-
Raphael and Yvette didn't have too much trouble getting through the first part of the course, both taking different approaches to the section. Raphael had just ran right through it like it was nothing, while Yvette patiently waited for each wrecking ball to be in the apex of it's swing before going. Wolfy and Alex weren't far behind her, making sure not to fall behind and going at a slightly faster pace.
Wolfy was nearly hit by one of the wrecking balls due to her rushing, but she managed to keep her balance and keep running. "I know these are supposed to be bouncy, but they still seem pretty dangerous!" Wolfy commented as she stepped past the one that nearly hit her, continuing down the walkway a bit more carefully now.
Raphael was nearly at the end of the walkway to head to the monkey bars when one of them hit him dead on. Instead of falling off though, he grabbed onto the rope holding it and hung on as it came back. Yvette was able to pass him during this and reached the monkey bars first, but he still was able to hop off the ball back onto the walkway. "Dang! He's got some skills!" Marty exclaimed from down below, watching the race with everyone else.
Yvette grabbed onto the monkey bars and started to climb over the mud pit to the last platform, but she wasn't very strong whatsoever. Raphael was right behind her now, and soon the monkey bars just turned into a single file line behind Yvette as they were all given a chance to catch up for how slow she was. She was only halfway through, and the latter half of the bars had been covered in butter to make it that much harder to hold on. "I would be careful, these bars are coated to make you fall." Yvette warned the others behind her, still going very slow.
Her hands started to tremble more and more as she now grabbed onto the eighth bar. Now realizing that she wasn't going to be able to make it all the way across, Yvette instead lined herself up with the ground, straightening out her body before just letting go and falling down. Her shoes still got covered in mud, but she at least stopped herself from getting completely covered had it been an unexpected fall. "Good luck to the rest of you." Yvette told them all she walked over to the rest of the contestants who had lost and watched. Going back to the start was pretty much pointless.
-Confessional: Yvette-
"Overextering myself for a challenge where is no strategical risk to not to do so is pointless. Besides, in the off chance I were to come in second or third place in the challenge rather than dropping out midway, I make myself appear as more of a threat. The logical option was to simply give up."
-End Confessional-
The single file line continued to go across the monkey bars now that Yvette was out of the way, all three of them able to climb across. Raphael jumped off at the 11th one, sliding on the last platform as soon as he landed, as it seemed to also be covered in butter for extra difficulty. "Crap! He's gonna beat us there!" Alex yelled as he and Wolfy soon also hopped off the monkey bars and started to run after him.
Raphael obviously was the faster runner and quickly widened the gap between them as he neared the finish line. Wolfy sprinted after him to try and keep up, but she ended up tripping and sliding right into one of the pits. "Eeeeek! Help!" Wolfy yelled as she grabbed onto the slippery ledge, refusing to look down at the spikes below.
Alex smirked as she fell, running past her instead of stopping. "Sorry sweetheart, I've got a challenge to win, and you've got a pit to fall into!" Alex apologized mockingly, running for the finish to try and catch up to Raphael.
"Alex!? I'm gonna fall! HELP PLEASE!" Wolfy screamed at him as she tried to pull herself up, but the butter covered platform was making that near impossible and only making her situation worse.
While Alex may not have stopped to help, Raphael heard her screaming just as he was about to cross the finish. He didn't even debate with himself on whether it was worth it as he turned back around and ran towards the pit she was hanging above while Alex ran past him, still heading towards the goal. "Heh, sucker." Alex chuckled as he ran by, the challenge basically his now.
Raphael skidded to a halt, giving a firm stomp to make sure he wouldn't keep sliding and then knelt down. "Give me your hand!" Raphael shouted, holding his right hand out for Wolfy to take.
Wolfy right away grabbed it, sighing with relief as Raphael pulled her up out of the pit with just that arm. "Thank you so much! I was so scared there! Thank you thank you thank you!" Wolfy thanked him repeatedly after quite a few heavy breaths, just glad to not have fallen in the pit.
Unfortunately for them, Alex had now crossed the finish line and walked down the ramp off the obstacle course. "Woo! I won! How's that for another loss Raph!?" Alex cheered for himself, getting plenty of angry glares from those who had watched all that happened.
-Confessional: Alex-
"Okay, maybe I did go a little overboard there, but I was trying to win the challenge! It's not my fault Wolfy decided to be stupid and end up falling into a pit!"
-End Confessional-
Raphael and Wolfy soon made their way to the end of the course and walked down the ramp as well, where everyone was waiting for them. Chef looked disappointed in the results, sternly looking at Alex. "Well we have our winner of today's challenge! Alex crossed the finish line first, so-" Chef began to announced that Alex won, but was cut off by Brick's whistle.
"Hold on! This challenge was a test to see who would really be cut out as a soldier! Alex broke code and left his ally behind to win for himself! Raphael gave up his own chances of winning to save Wolfy, so he is the winner! As I always say, never leave a man behind! Never!" Brick reasoned, walking over to Raphael and raising his arm.
Chef thought about it, before nodding in agreement with him. "Fine with me. Raphael is our winner and ultimate soldier! Congrats, I'd go to war with you any day!" Chef congratulated Raphael while almost everyone cheered. Just Alex and Max were left unsatisfied.
Chris arrived on the golf cart right after Raphael's victory had been announced, still wearing his battle helmet. "Can't say that I'm shocked the military cadet won the military challenge, but he did! Raphael has invincibility in tonight's vote, so the rest of you will have to vote off someone to go in the cannon tonight! Other than Raphael of course, since he has invincibility. Just making sure you all know." Chris announced, patting the passenger seat next to him.
Chef climbed into the golf cart and sat down, so Chris now started to drive away. "Wait a minute, what are we riding in?" Marty asked, since there was not enough room on the golf cart for all of them to ride in.
Chris laughed, waving goodbye at them. "What made you think you're getting a ride? You're all walking back! That'll leave plenty of time for the tension to boil for the elimination. It should be night by the time you get back, so just vote and meet me on the bow of the ship once you arrive!" Chris told them all, before speeding away with Chef.
They had left Brick behind, who just looked at contestants awkwardly for a moment. "Well, don't look at me! I don't got a magic carpet or anything for you all to ride back. We'll just have to walk back. So let's move out!" Brick shouted as he began to jog off, the only one doing the same was Raphael. Everyone else just walked back to the cruise ship the way they came.
Alex walked up to Wolfy, who was now in a bitter mood after what just happened. "Hey Wolfy, about what happened in the challenge..." Alex began to talk to her, trying to think up an apology on the spot.
"I don't wanna hear it Alex! You know what you did!" Wolfy turned around and slapped him across the face angrily. "There aren't any excuses for that! I'm sure everyone else knows it too!" Wolfy yelled at him, now getting the attention of the others walking.
Alex saw that they were all looking and groaned, annoyed to be in the spotlight like this. "You know what, even though you just slapped me, I'll still be nice and give you a chance to save yourself. Vote for literally anyone besides me. If you actually listen to me, then I'll still let you vote with me." Alex told her, holding himself back from yelling at her.
Wolfy shook her head, before slapping him again. "No way! You really are just trying to save yourself! That's probably why you wanted Noah gone! He didn't do anything did he!? Do you know how sad Katniss is because that!? You are so eliminated!" Wolfy yelled louder, before storming off and leaving Alex with even more angry looks.
-Confessional: Wolfy-
"I am so done being friends with Alex! He just leaves me hanging, literally! I am so voting for him tonight, no doubt about that! I don't care what he says, because he might just be trying to get me eliminated by not voting for him! Do you think he'll try and rig the vote? With how bad things look, I wouldn't be surprised."
-Confessional: Katniss-
"I'm voting for Alex! This is for you Noah! Alex is mean, so he's going!"
-Confessional: Max-
"I will be voting for Alex tonight. Not because I don't like what he did, that part was delightfully eeeeeeevil! But there can only be one evil being in this competition and that certain someone is me! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
-Confessional: Tristan-
"We may be in an alliance, but what you did was just wrong dude."
-End Confessionals-
Later that night, everyone had gathered on the bow of the cruise ship in front of the bonfire, sitting on the benches like always. In the back row was Alex, Max, Yvette, Amber, and Katniss in that order from left to right. In the front row was Marty, Tristan, Raphael, and Wolfy. Chris walked out with a tray of eight marshmallows, looking at everyone with his signature grin. "Heh, this was probably one of the fastest eliminations we've ever had! You all seem pretty decided on who you want gone from the cruise ship!" Chris laughed, plenty of eyes shooting to Alex after that statement.
Chris grabbed the first marshmallow off of the plate, looking at everyone else's faces to see if there was any worry. There obviously wasn't which just made things more boring for him. "Wow, when it's this obvious, it really kills any kind of tension I was hoping for." Chris said, groaning that pretty much everyone knew who was going home right now.
"We aren't your ratings machines Chris. Why would we vote for anyone besides Alex?" Amber remarked, crossing her arms and just waiting for her marshmallow now.
Chris wanted to just put her in the bottom two just to scare her for that comment, but he instead ignored it and continued on with the ceremony. "Anyway, if you don't get a marshmallow, it's cannon time! I get to shorten this thing every time, since you all know how this works. Marshmallows go to..."
"Raphael."
"Yvette."
"Max."
"Amber."
"Marty."
"Katniss."
"Tristan."
The seven of them all caught their marshmallows as Chris threw them out, now looking at the last two without marshmallows. It was just Wolfy and Alex now, although Wolfy now had a smug grin on her face. "So you voted for me huh? I can't really blame you for that one. Except I can, since you did this to yourself." Wolfy told him coldly, before looking back at Chris.
Chris grabbed the final marshmallow from the plate, raising it up and smiling at the two of them. "Feeling pretty confident huh Wolfy? You're absolutely sure that everyone took your side and voted for Alex?" Chris asked her, creating just a bit of doubt with those words.
Wolfy shook off the doubt quickly though, realizing Chris was just trying to get to her head. "Oh as if. Everyone saw what happened. So just give me my marshmallow already!" Wolfy said, holding out her hand.
Chris shrugged, still smiling. "We'll see about that. The answer may shock you then. The final marshmallow of the night goes to...

Chris tossed the final marshmallow to Wolfy, which no one was surprised at. "I thought you said the answer would shock me?" Wolfy questioned Chris as she popped the marshmallow into her mouth.
Chris shrugged again, tossing the plate away. "I said it may shock you. It's called creating suspense, you all know how to destroy it." Chris said, still very annoyed by the complete lack of suspense in the elimination.
"Not so fast." Alex chuckled as he stood up from his seat, reaching into his pocket and pulling out an immunity idol. "Pretty sure this means I'm still in the game right?" Alex asked noncholantly, shocking everyone there except for Yvette.
-Confessional: Yvette-
"Alex has had that statue ever since he stole it from Laurie. I thought we all knew that. She did tell us it was stolen from her."
-End Confessional-
Chris walked over to Alex and quickly inspected the statue, before nodding his head. "Yep, that's one of them. Where did you find it?" Chris asked him, giving Alex a thumbs up and keeping the statue now.
"Found it in Laurie's bag after she 'stole' all your guys' stuff." Alex answered, further shocking everyone except Yvette.
"You mean we voted her off for nothing!? Just like everyone else you tricked us into voting off! Laurie, Summer, Matias, Brinley, and Noah! All of them were innocent!" Wolfy yelled at him angrily, the mention of Summer now angering Marty as well.
Alex nodded as he sat back down and leaned back in his seat. "Yep, just playing the game. Your sorry butt would have went down to the alliance if it wasn't for me, but now you opened your mouth and wrecked everything for yourself, since you're next." Alex told her, chuckling more.
Wolfy was confused now, not getting what he meant. "Wha- what do you mean I'm next? You're just safe until next time!" Wolfy told him, getting up from her seat and pointing at him angrily. He may not have been out today, but he would for sure get her next time.
Chris shook his head, now pulling out the ballots and showing that there was one for her. "Actually, the contestant with the next highest votes goes if someone uses an invincibility idol. So do you have an idol Wolfy?" Chris asked her, grinning at her evilly as Chef now walked out onto the bow of the ship.
Wolfy's heart sank at that question, now realizing why Alex had told her to not vote for him. "N-No..." she hesitantly answered, looking down at the ground now.
Chris chuckled at her answer, setting the ballots aside. "Well then that means it's cannon time for you and Tristan! Sayonara!" Chris told her, now shocking Tristan who had just been called out from left field.
"Why me!? All of us except for Alex voted for him!" Tristan argued, standing up in his seat before he was tossed a parachute by Chef.
Chris then grabbed the one ballot for Tristan, showing it to him. "Nope! There were seven votes for Alex, one for Wolfy, and one for you! I'm tired of you guys making the votes tie, so I'm kicking you BOTH off!" Chris replied, while Chef now tossed a parachute to Wolfy as well.
Marty waved goodbye to Tristan as he walked to the cannon with Chef, while Yvette, Amber, and Katniss waved to Wolfy as she left. "Take care Wolfy! We'll make sure Alex gets what he deserves!" Amber told her, bringing a smile to Wolfy's face and easing the pain of her elimination.
Wolfy and Tristan were soon loaded into the cannon, having even less room than Noah and Valerie did when they were crammed in together. Tristan still looked miserable while Wolfy was smiling. "Hey Alex! You can go suck iiiiiiiIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTT!" Wolfy yelled at him before being fired out of the cannon by Chris, flying off into the distance with Tristan.
Once they were gone, Chris looked at the contestants still sitting there. "Well congrats on making it to the final seven each of you. Except for Max since he got a free pass. You're all just that much closer to the million and one dollars! Go get some rest now, you'll definitely be needing it!" Chris told them all, surprising them that Chris would even do so much as congratulate them.
"You say that every time after the ceremony Chris." Amber pointed out as she got up from her seat to head back to her room.
"Well you always do need your sleep! So get outta here!" Chris snapped back, a bit upset that he had gotten that kind of reaction from them for actually saying something nice to them for once.
The seven contestants all filed out of the benches and headed back to their rooms, while Raphael made his way to the hangout room. Once they were all gone, Chris turned to face the camera, putting his hands behind his back. "Well that's another double elimination. While I would love to see how many kids I can stuff into the cannon and do a triple elimination, that's probably our last one! Will Alex be able to survive another episode without his idol now? Just who has the second one? Find out next time, on Total, Drama, Revenge of the Cruise Ship!"

Another double elimination! Betcha guys didn't see that one coming! I may or may not have misjudged how many episodes I had left when I initially brought Noah and Max. There was only supposed to be one double elimination, but I sort of had to do some plot tweaking a few episodes back to make sure the season ended with 26 episodes. Don't think that this was an afterthought getting rid of Tristan like this though. I had hinted plenty of times in the first half with Yvette's growing resentment of Tristan, and I'm sure you all already noticed that he hadn't really made a move on her and instead focused on the alliance with Marty. It just so happened that Alex had an idol and he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. I know he seemed like he was going to be a bit of a bigger threat, but Alex obviously took the cake there, since Tristan had gotten complacent after making it to the merge. Onto Wolfy though, I know plenty of you are sad to see her go after everything we had seen of her. But this just wasn't going to be her season. Like most of the contestants that made it to the merge here, she'll definitely have another shot in another season. She was really fun to use with her friendly personality and abundance of wacky friends. Also, the next Aftermath will be taking a slight delay, you'll see why soon. Next time we'll be going to be Pahkitew Island, so that'll be quite the episode where absolutely nothing will go wrong! Have a good day as always and please make sure to leave a review! The feedback helps me greatly!
Now it's time for me to Koread the reviews! Hahaha... (It was the best I got okay)
Nobody245: I'm not going to comment on the meaning behind Amber's and Marty's audition tapes being played in the episode, since I don't wanna confirm or deconfirm who will be in the finale. But I'm glad someone noticed. Also even if Chris would be able to bring them on, I just felt it would bring down the overall vibe of the episode to have them there. Michael and Phoebe are off happy together, so I doubt they'll ever come back, save for a collective all star season, but that would just be cruel. Thanks for the review and also taking the time to read TDDC if I hadn't thanked you for that as well yet!
NightwolfGamer3: I'm not really getting the meaning behind the song lyrics you've been putting lately, but if it means you're enjoying the season, I'm all for it! Really sorry about Wolfy's run ending here, but this isn't her last season, far from it, so don't worry about things ending for her!
AnnoyingAlarmClock: Yeah, a Mario Kart challenge can be pretty wacky depending on how you spin it, glad you really liked it! As for Noah, I can see the disappointment of him lasting only three episodes, but he for sure left an impact on the season. That was the main point of brining them in after all. Although Max is moreso here to be a pain magnet and comic relief. These next few episodes will for sure be nail biters on who will bite the dust though, so stay tuned for that!
Alexneushoorn: Oof yeah, the story description kinda kills the surprise. I'm going to purposely wait for a bit now before updating that from now on just to leave it a suprise in fact. So this episode probably said 9/26 still when you clicked on it. Great to see people really enjoyed the challenge too! I was a little worried about it being compared to Grand Chef Auto from TDROTI, but I guess it was different enough! Raphael did win a challenge finally, and not just by overpowering the others either. This episode was probably one of his better ones for development between him and his relationship with the rest of the cast. The Dubai episode was probably his worst in that regard. Also I did notice Valerie was in your fic, I wonder how far she'll go there! Mostly because she's part of this cast as well, I'm rooting for her. See you next time!
MatiasND aka 'a: Max is quite fun yeah, definitely made TDPI one of the funnier seasons in my opinion. It's a hot take, but I think he's funnier than Owen. I know he tends to be a first boot for his weird personality, but I liked to give him a good run here, even if he did jump in halfway through.
Attackin2: Y'know, I didn't really think of Valerie like that until you pointed that out, but that's honestly a really good summary for her. If Total Drama came back, I wouldn't be surprised if a stereotype like her were to appear. Also I dunno how you keep making these calls on what's going to happen in the future. I won't say if you are 100% right about who is in the final five for spoilers sake, but what makes you think Yvette and Max would leave? Also Richard meeting Valerie and Robin the Aftermath will really be something.
Guest: Well... sorry to send home the one you were rooting for. Glad you liked the story though!
Candela Monsoon: Oh I can tell, Valerie doesn't really click for a lot of people it seemed. I think that was part of her design though, not everyone in Total Drama is going to be super friendly. You gotta have some Valeries in there to keep things interesting. Speaking of interesting, a lot of people are saying that their favorite is Katniss. She's developed a lot, but I wasn't expecting her to be up there. Thanks for reading though!
Wolfy's Audition Tape:
The scene is set in a garage, Wolfy checks to see if the camera is on
Wolfy: "Is the camera on? Oh! Yes it is! Hi, my name is Wolfy. I'll hope to be cast on your show, so I'm guessing that'll be fun.*sighs* You see, I'm autistic myself, and I often have a hard time around other people. So, I'm basically a good person, kinda shy, but basically nice, but also... Sassy. I think... But! If you aren't convinced... I wouldn't be either. And I hope to be cast on your show, so I can get away from life, since it... Actually, maybe I should shut my mouth hole and let you decide. Am I cast in, or not?"
Tristan's Audition Tape:
Instead of a normal tape, Tristan's tape turns on to footage from a surfing competition. "Wow! Just look at him go! The wave slayer Tristan takes down yet another wave in flawless style!" an announcer off screen shouted as Tristan nailed a foam climb on the wave and came back to the shore. One of the commentators walked up to him and held a microphone up to him, eager to talk to him. "So Tristan, how do you do it? You make it look so easy!" they asked him, while Tristan flipped back his hair and looked at the camera. "To surf, you gotta just go with the flow. To skate, you let the board be your guide and the pool your map. Whatever I do, I just go with the flow and take a chance when I see. I don't force a chance dude, I just let it happen. That's why my tricks work. Because I just take what's already there. Peace out." Tristan said to the reporter, winking at the camera as the footage then stopped.
