Butch placed his fist underneath his chin; he was at home and by his desk. Brick told him if he got another bad grade... their parents were literally going to kick Butch out of their home, so he had to study real hard to get his grades back up. Brick can be scary if he wanted to be. Instead of studying; Butch was thinking of something else... his match. His brothers, and his friends have already met theirs, but somehow... Butch 'The Baron of the Babes' can't even find his. The raven-haired male grunted as he laid his head on his desk. Brick, and Boomer we're studying with Butch in his room. Both of them exchanged glances before peering up at Butch. They were giving him confused glances. "Uh, what's wrong, bro?" Boomer asked. Butch lifted up his head, and looked at his brother.

"I'm just thinking..." He responded. Brick and Boomer exchanged glances before simply nodding slowly; they knew what was bugging him, but didn't go any further they just continued studying. Butch grunted as he stood up; catching the attention of his brothers. "I need a breather..." He sighed heavily. Boomer and Brick nodded as they began to quiz themselves with flash cards. Butch walked out of his room, closing the door behind him, and stretching. He then walked to the front door, and opened it. He, of course, closed it behind him afterwards. Butch placed his hands inside his pockets as he roamed the empty streets. There was nothing, but cars passing by, and the sounds of nature. Butch did need some time alone for a little bit.

He ran a hand through his hair; as he made it to the front of a grocery store. He went to a vending machine, and placed a quarter in. After picking his drink. Butch sat down in front of the vending machine, and took a sip from it. He grunted as he stood up, and continued to walk. Why can't I find my match, yet? That same thought kept running through his mind, and it made him more frustrated. Butch was the ladies man' or at least he thought he was.

He always got the babes, but now... it seems like he's the outcast in his group. Everyone find their match, but why can't Butch find someone? He was desperate to find the one. Butch knew he found the one while watching the video. It seemed like whoever that person was... is hiding. Well, from him. She wasn't technically hiding, but from him. Butch sighed as he wasn't paying attention... he didn't notice a car was speeding and almost ran him over. Someone had noticed, and quickly pushed Butch out of the way.

"ARE YOU SUICIDAL OR SOMETHING!?" Someone scolded him. Butch slowly opened up his eyes, and there she was... the girl from the video. She had shoulder-length black hair, and seemed as soft as silk. She had sun-kissed skin, and he got to take a look at her nice figure. It was completely breathtaking. Her lips were nice and plump that were followed by those rosy cheeks. She looks adorable... "Sorry..." He mumbled under his breath. The girl's eyes widened as she stood up and dusted herself off, "Sorry? Why are you sorry? Not like you were paying any attention. Here, get up," She handed out her hand. Butch smirked as he easily grasped it; as she pulled him up.

"Thanks, I'm Butch," Butch continued, "What's your name?"

The girl froze and peered up at him; seeing if he was joking. Clearly, he wasn't. She sighed, "Buttercup." Butch's eyes widened. He smiled, "I need to owe you... how about I take you to dinner?" Buttercup folded her arms as she huffed at him. Butch did not expect that. She didn't seem like she wanted to go to dinner with him. "How about... never," Buttercup growled at him; as she turned away from him and took her leave. Butch blinked and blinked again... making sure he heard right. He definitely heard it. That was new. No... no girl has turned him down before... feisty that was his type of girls, and he liked it... he liked it a lot. "Butch! Dude, are you okay?" Ryder came running down the sidewalk and towards him.

Butch nodded, "Yeah. Thanks to the girl," Ryder sighed in relief before walking beside him. They were talking about the football game that so happens to be next week... They needed their best to focus and get ready for it, so they can bear Brooklyn Academy. Now, that he thinks about it... isn't that the school Buttercup goes too...? Oh, this will be great... he's going to meet his match there.

"Bye, Dude!" Butch waved goodbye to Ryder; as he turned around and continued to walk alone. When he turned around the corner. He saw a girl getting pushed onto the ground. His eyes widened in horror; as he knew who that girl was. "You bitch! You think I wanted a disgrace for a child!? No! You were the mistake I didn't want! Your siblings are better than you! Thanks to you! Your father left me! For you! You ruined our family!" The women slapped Buttercup across the face, and kept punching her. Butch clenched his fists; as his eyes flared up in anger. No, he didn't like his... he didn't like this one bit. He was not one to stop some abuse of a random girl, but this girl... needed saving. Butch growled underneath his breath; as he watched Buttercup getting pushed once more.

"Well, where are my siblings now!? They aren't with you! That's for sure! They call you a bitch, and that's what you are. My siblings are living with me! Because they hate you! I. Hate. You. You were never a mother to them or to me. You're just plain crazy. Maybe that's why dad left you," Buttercup smirked.

The women cussed at her 'daughter', and before she could hit her one more time. Butch ran in, and took her by the hand. Both of them started to run away. The women stared blankly at him as she watched the both of them run away quickly as possible. Once they were out of there... they were in the next neighborhood. Butch and Buttercup started to breathe really heavily as they leaned against a wall. "Are you okay...?" The raven-haired male peered at the small girl that was next to him. She didn't say anything, and kept her eyes down at the ground. Butch bit down on his lip before sighing. This place wasn't good for talking, so he took her by the hand once more. Which caught her off guard. The both of them began to walk in complete silence through the neighborhood.

Butch found his hiding spot. It was covered in moss, and it looked really old. He began to take the gray bricks off of the wall because it seemed to be loose. Butch placed them on the ground, and when he finally made an opening. Both of them walked in. It looked... amazing. There was a waterfall, soft grass, and animals are playing... "This is where my brothers and I come too whenever we feel down. It's sorta our hiding spot... come on," Butch explained as he went behind Buttercup, and began to push her gently to a small little pinning spot.

They took a seat on the little blanket, and began to hear the sounds of nature. "So, do you want to tell me who was that lady...?" Butch asked.

Buttercup hugged her knees as she sighed, "It's none of your business..."

"Then I will make it my business. Come on, tell me... Whatever it is. I'll be here for you. I mean, I did save you from that crazy lady," Butch rolled his eyes. Buttercup chuckled softly before sighing and looking up at the sky. She really didn't want to tell him, but she felt like she could trust him... "That women... was my mother. My dad left her because she was crazy. This women cheated on my dad a billion times, and I kept trying to tell him that she did... he wanted to believe me, but he kept saying he needed proof, and so I did. I gave him proof... I took a picture of a guy that my mom was with, and they were kissing... passionately... disgusting. When I showed him that... he was completely horrified.

After that day... he left my mom, and she kept pointing fingers at me and saying it was my fault for breaking the family apart. Not only that... she loved my siblings more than me, and kept calling me a mistake. She's abusive, a gold digger, and a total bitch. My siblings don't like her, and neither do I. We actually are glad that my dad left her. My mom was abusing me behind my dad's back... I'm glad that disgusting women is out of my life," Buttercup shed a tear as she grit her teeth. Butch peered over at her, and frowned. He grabbed the raven-haired women by the arm. Which she got caught off guard again. Butch pulled her close to him, and hugged her.

Buttercup tried to push him away, but he was stronger than her. Butch hugged her tightly; as he leaned his down to her ear. "Don't push me away... just cry..." He whispered. Buttercup felt the warm breath that escaped his mouth. She gulped and nodded slowly. She placed her head down into his chest, and began to sob. Butch hugged her tightly and hated her mother... she was going to get it soon. "I hate her... I hate everything," Buttercup said in between sobs. Butch sighed, "Sh... Sh... everything is going to be okay. I will make sure of it. That women won't hurt you anymore..." Buttercup smiled into his chest as she wrapped her arms around his torso. Butch's eyes widened as he felt her petite hands on his back. He smiled softly at her, and continued to hug her.

"Thank you..."

-/- Outside of the Hiding Spot -/-

Buttercup and Butch began to walk out of his hiding spot, and walked in silence. It was getting late, and Butch wanted to walk her home. Buttercup happily agreed. They looked up in the distance, and saw a beautiful sunset that were the colors of yellow, orange, and white... it was amazing. Buttercup felt a little herself as she walked with Butch. They didn't want to stay in silence for too long, so... Butch started a conversation first. They talked about which IPhone was better. Buttercup said the IPhone 11, but he disagreed and said that the IPhone 12. They were both having a fun argument about phones, and it turned ridiculous. Once they reached Buttercup's front porch; as she walked on it and turned to face Butch. "Thank you, Butch. That was fun..." She smiled brightly at him. Butch felt getting sick to his stomach. Her smile was beautiful... it made him die instead.

"Uh... you're welcome, will I see you again?" Butch rubbed the back of his neck. Buttercup tapped her chin; as she was deep in thought. She then peer down at him before giving a soft smile, "Of course. You're from LunarSide Private School, right? So, we most likely be seeing each other at the Football Game next week." Butch awed understandingly. Buttercup chuckled as she ruffled up his hair a little bit; creating a big mess in the process. She turned around, and went to her door. She opened it, and waved goodbye before closing it. Butch smiled as he turned around and began to walk to his own house.

It was a long way back him, so he took some time to think. This girl was everything he ever wanted... she was his type, and he knew it from Day 1. When he saw the same girl fighting the school bullies for her best friend. Butch couldn't wait to meet her again at the Football Game. He wanted to impress her at the game, and hoped that they won... he chuckled to himself as he found himself at his own doorstep. Butch opened the door, and walked in. He found the house really peaceful. He walked in his room, and found both of his brothers asleep on he floor. Butch sighed; as he changed into his pajamas and went to sleep. Butch closed his eyes, and went to sleep.

Buttercup...
