Discalimer: I do not own anything but the OC.

"Thank you for dinner, Dad." Lucy thanked her father as she, her father, and James left the restaurant where they had dinner and spent the evening together.

The General smiled at his youngest daughter. "My pleasure." He said and took her hand, blocking James from doing it which made James almost glare at the older Lane but he stopped himself. Lucy may have thought the night went well, but James would disagree.

Her father didn't approve of Lucy's relationship with James, made it perfectly clear to him that he wasn't good enough for Lucy and had the strong belief she would choose the right path.

However, dedication could be James' middle name, and he wasn't interested in loosing Lucy after just getting her back and trying to make their relationship work.

A gust of wind picked up, causing the three of them to look up to see Red Tornado hovering with a mini-twister underneath it's feet. There was scratch marks and a burn mark on it's chest from it's right with Zilla. It's eyes leered down at the three, focused mostly on the General.

As it stared at him, the word 'Terminate' flashed across it's HUD screen.

Elsewhere, Kara had just finished helping her intoxicated boss get to her car so her driver could take her home when she heard a high pitched beeping that could only come from the special watch Clark had given James should he ever need help.

Though it was muffled by the sounds of screams. The very moment she was out of sight, she changed into her Supergirl outfit and flew off towards the disturbances.

As the citizens fled, Red Tornado blew a gust of wind at Lucy which knocked her off her feet and sent her crashing into a table and chairs. "Lucy!" James shouted, running to check on his girlfriend while General lane faced the android.

"I order you to disengage immediately!" He ordered. Red Tornado lowered until it's feet touched the ground and it approached the General, cocking a fist back to hurt the man when suddenly Supergirl jumped down in between them and caught the fist.

"I'm not going to let you hurt them." Supergirl all but growled as she clenched the fist she caught.

The android backed up a step as it avoided the punches Kara threw at it until she brought one of her legs up and kicked it away. The android went skidding back across the other side of the street.

Standing back upright, Red Tornado locked gazes with Kara before holding it's arms out to either side. It started spinning in place until it reached inhuman speeds, a literal tornado forming around it before the android walked out of the tornado which then started going down the street after the people.

Kara looked from the tornado to Red Tornado who stared at her with it's emotionless and expressionless face, but Kara could imagine the smug smirk on it's face if it did have emotions and a more facial expression. it was smart in what it was doing.

Save the people or stop the android.

Before anything else could be said, a blue beam struck the robot which sent it flying into a window as Zilla landed with a spider web crack forming underneath his feet. He looked at Kara. "Save the people, the robot's mine."

Kara nodded and flew off to stop the tornado while Zilla faced Red Tornado who stood and looked at him.

"I'm not finished with you yet, bub." Jayden growled before he charged at the robot and leaped at it, avoiding a backhand and punched it in the chest then went for a tail swipe but the android ducked it then blew a more powerful gust of wind which sent the son of Godzilla off his feet and crashing through a shop window.

Knowing it could potentially become scrap metal should it continue fighting Zilla, Red Tornado formed a mini-twister underneath it's feet and flew away from the area before Zilla could fight it again. The son of Godzilla snared when he saw this and looked back to see Kara get rid of the tornado and save the people.

Zilla took off, much as he wanted to go back to the DEO with Kara, he couldn't stand being around a man like Sam lane, brought back too many memories he didn't want to remember...

At sunrise the next morning, Kara and James entered an abandoned warehouse with a heavy bag and a black sedan hung up as punching bags for them to use their fists on.

After taking Cat's advice into account, Kara thought that hitting something would get rid of the anger and just let it all out. And since James was having troubles of his own, he needed some release as well.

"Wow! I thought Rocky Balboa practising on dead cows was cool." James said as he took in the set up.

"Well, I can't exactly join a kickboxing class." Kara joked, which made both of them chuckle.

Kara took her glasses off and gently slipped them into her pocket as James got on a pair of gloves. "You know, I never really noticed Clark having to get his rage on." He commented.

"Because he's a man." Kara said which got James to raise an eyebrow at her but he wasn't offended. "Girls are taught to smile and keep it on the inside. Now, this'll work for both of us."

"So what do we do?" James asked as they stood at their 'punching bags' and took up stances.

"Just say what you are mad about and let the fists do the rest." Kara said.

James nodded. "Okay. I can't stand Lucy's dad." he threw a couple of fists at the punching bag.

Kara shook her head. "I can't stand him either." She threw a few punches into the sedan, denting the hood of it.

"I hate how he gets involved in our relationship, and I'm not holding Lucy back." James said and threw some more punches.

Kara threw some more of her own at the sedan. "I can't stand the way Cat treats me."

"And I really cannot stand how he talks about your cousin!" James grunted as he threw harder punches.

"I hate how my emotions get the best of me. And I hate how my sister doesn't know what happened to her father." Kara growled as her punches went harder and faster to the point the hood of the car was dented beyond repair and looked ready to burst with her strikes.

Her voice grew louder as her strikes struck harder with her godlike strength, James halting to watch her in shock as she demolished the sedan. "AND I HATE HOW I'M AFRAID TO TELL JAYDEN THAT I LOVE HIM!" With one more powerful strike, the engine of the sedan went flying and into the far wall.

With everything caught up to her, Kara stumbled back a couple of steps and looked stunned ad scared at the same time. "Oh, my God... Cat was right. There is anger behind the anger."

James placed a hand on her shoulder. "Are there like extra emotions that I don't know about it in Krypton?" He asked, trying to understand.

"No, no, I thought... I thought I was mad seeing you... Seeing you and Lucy makes me realize that I am never gonna have what you two have, a normal life. Because my normal life, ended the second my parents put me on that ship."

"But then... I met Jayden. He looked at me and only saw me for who I was. We shared our pasts which are almost too similar, and we share some things in common and no matter what happens...he's always there making me feel better. He knows more about me than anyone except for Alex and I..." She stopped as tears started coming down her face.

James remained quiet, deciding to let her get it all out. Kara took a shuddering breath and looked at him. "I love him, James. And I'm scared. Scared that if I say or do something it will destroy our friendship. But at the same time...I want what you and Lucy have. Someone to love me for who I am and will always be there no matter how hard things get. And I want that person to be Jayden."

"Kara." James pulled her into a embrace. "If there's anyone who deserves to be happy, it's you. And Jayden's a great guy. But you won't know how things will go until you make a go for it."

"But what if-"

"Remember what you told me before Lucy and I got back together?" He asked, smirking. "Are you prepared to just bury what you're feeling and move on? If you're not, then it's not fair to you or to Jayden."

The Kryptonian looked confused. "Why would it be unfair to Jayden?"

James shook his head, not loosing his smirk. "Really, Kara? The guy may try to hide it, but I've seen the way he stares at you, in an out of costume. He clearly shares the same feelings as you."

A blush filled Kara's face at that. Before she could say anything, her phone began ringing so she took it out, saw it was her sister, and answered. "Hey!"

"I found something, meet me back at the DEO." The older Danvers sister said.

Kara nodded. "Right." She hung up and looked at James. "I have to go."

James nodded and Kara soon flew out and changed into her Supergirl suit along the way...

"Thanks to Maxwell Lord, we know Dr. Morrow is still controlling Red Tornado." Alex told Hank, Kara, and Jayden, who was reluctant to come, as they came into the ops center. "That's why it's targeting General Lane."

"Morrow wants revenge on Lane for mothballing his project." Kara said, connecting the dots.

"Sounds so cliche when you think about it." Jayden said, in his Zilla form, his arms crossed over his chest.

"If we take out Morrow...we take out red Tornado." Alex said.

"So, how do we find Morrow?" Hank asked.

"We draw out the android. Then we trace the relay signal Dr. Morrow's using to control it back to Dr. Morrow." She looked at her sister and Jayden. "I need you two to keep Red Tornado occupied long enough for us to shut it down."

The Director turned to Kara. "Think you can keep your cool this time?"

"I'm not afraid of my anger anymore." The heroine said with conviction. "I can use it. Channel it to work for me, not against me."

The Director nodded before turning to go walk over to General Lane, who was nearby, to let him know of the plan. Jayden looked at Kara. "You ready to turn the C-3PO ripoff into scrap?"

Kara nodded. "More than ready."

"Then let's get to work, partner." Jayden said as they turned and left.

A couple of hours later, the two heroes found themselves hiding atop a nearby roof in the old industrial district of National City. Down below, a perfect hologram of General Lane stood in perfect view for anything passing by to see.

It didn't take too long for Red Tornado to show up.

"I see it." Kara said, spotting the android coming in.

Jayden pushed his earpiece. "Alex, RT is inbound."

"Signal's in. I have a position on Morrow." Alex replied. as Red Tornado landed a few feet away from the hologram. It began walking forward then ran and threw a punch only for it's punch to go through the hologram.

Seemingly confused, the android turned and threw another punch only to get the same results. Standing upright, Red Tornado tried to touch the 'general' only for it's hand to faze through the hologram, causing it to flicker and distort until it vanished.

It heard something land behind it before it was smacked to the side by a tail, sending it into the wall. Red Tornado looked to see Supergirl and Zilla standing there, ready to fight. Red Tornado's hands started spinning like propellers and it shot towards them. Kara launched ahead and met it halfway, the two exchanging back and fourth blows until the android managed to use it's power over wind to blow the heroine away,

It was then tackled by Jayden who smashed it through multiple crates and walls and into another, landing a few rights and lefts across it's metal face then tail smacked it through another wall and into another area outside.

Jayden walked forward, grabbed it by the foot and tossed it through the air but it formed a mini-twister underneath it's feet and landed on the ground, staring at Jayden when Kara came back in, but a swift kick to the stomach sent her into the back of a cargo truck. It blew a gust of wind at Jayden, sending him crashing through several steel pipes and other objects.

Turning to Kara, Red Tornado walked forward and grabbed Kara by the neck, punched her in the ribs then slammed her into the back of the truck before it got behind her, bent one of her arms back and began to choke her.

Kara groaned, struggling to break free of it's grip but felt her strength weakening due to the chokehold and her vision started to go black at the edges.

"GET THE FUCK OFF HER!" A roar was heard following the shout before Red Tornado was struck hard, causing it to drop Kara who took several deep breaths, rubbing her throat.

When she looked back, she saw Jayden literally beating Red Tornado into the ground. He stood over it as he rained down blow after blow on it wit enough forced to crack the pavement beneath the machine before he landed one more hard punch that shattered it's left eye along with the left side of it's face, causing small sparks to fly.

Jayden breathed heavily with animal growls leaving him then he took a deep breath and exhaled before walking over to Kara. "You alright?" He asked her, checking on her.

Kara nodded before she saw something over Jayden's shoulder. "JAYDEN LOOK OUT!" Jayden turned only to be smacked hard in the face with enough force to be sent flying through a wall.

Kara stood and looked to see Red Tornado still standing. "It's still going!"

"Agent Danvers?" Hank said over the comms.

"No commands are being transmitted to the android...Kara...it's become sentient." Alex said on her end.

Kara glared at the machine, angry it hurt Jayden and refused to stay down. So she shot her heat vision at it, the beams hitting it in the middle, slowing it down but it still kept on coming.

The heroine started bringing up memories, every memory that brought her pain, sadness, and anger, focusing it and making the beams stronger. A furious battle cry left her as the area around her eyes started to glow blue from beneath the skin.

Jayden groaned, pushing the rubble off him and loomed to see what was going on, his eyes going wide when he saw the superior display of power from Kara. He watched as the heat beams started destroying Red Tornado before Kara let out one powerful scream and her heat vision finally destroyed the android into pieces.

The fight over, Kara stopped her attack. Light headed and weak, she began falling backwards when she was caught in a pair of arms.

"Kara?" Jayden asked, looking her over as he cradled her. She sucked in deep breaths before she looked up at him.

"I'm...I'm alright..." Kara whispered, looking very exhausted.

"Supergirl? Zilla?" hank's voice came onto their earpieces.

Zilla tapped his. "We're fine, chief. Supergirl's exhausted, I'm going to take her back home."

"She's earned it, both of you have. Make sure she gets there safe."

"Got it." Jayden stood and lifted Kara up bridal style, keeping her close to his chest before he leaped away from the scene, going far distances towards the city.

He soon came to Kara's apartment, landing on her balcony and transformed back to normal, not caring he was only in a pair of ripped and tattered pants. He looked down at Kara to see her sleeping in his arms, cuddled against his chest and his warmth, her head against his shoulder and her arms around his neck.

Jayden carried her into her bedroom, removing her cape and boots along the way before he placed her in her bed, pulling the covers over her. He stood there, looking down at her peaceful expression as she slept.

'She's so beautiful...like an angel.' Jayden thought as he caressed her cheek with a hand. "God, i'm so in love with her. I'm in love with her, and I am no longer afriad to admit it to myself.'

Making sure she was comfortable, Jayden left her bedroom and closed the door before he left her apartment, heading back to his loft to grab himself some extra clothes then came back to Kara's apartment dressed in new, fresh clothes.

He collapsed on the couch after shutting the balcony doors, and started to drift off to sleep, mind thinking about a certain blonde Kryptonian...

The smell of food woke the son of Godzilla several hours later. Once opening his eyes, he saw Kara in the kitchen with a couple of recently delivered pizzas on the counter as she moved about collecting plates.

When his stomach growled at the thought of eating, Jayden sat up and yawned before he checked the time. "I was out that long?" he asked, surprising the Girl of Steel.

"You're awake!" She said, bringing one of the pizzas she ordered and setting it on the coffee table. "I didn't wake you, did I?"

Jayden shook his head and grabbed a slice of pizza. "The smell of food woke me up. How you feeling?"

"A little tired, which is weird because I'm never tired this long." Kara said, confused on that.

"Well, you did blow up a robot with your eyes, I'd say that can take a lot out of someone." Jayden said as they sat there, eating pizza. Jayden glanced at the Kryptonian several times as he weighed his options on what to do before internally sighing.

"Kara...there's something I need to tell you."

Kara looked at him and saw the serious expression he had. "Okay, is something wrong?"

He stared into her eyes, trying to find the right words and not be so blunt with them before he decided to hell with it and began to speak. "Kara...I l-"

The sound of glass breaking cut him off and the two heroes looked to see the heroine had accidentally knocked her glass off the table. "oh! Uh, sorry, I better get that before it sets in." She said as she started picking up the glass pieces.

"i'll grab a towel." Jayden said, standing up and walking over to the kitchen to find a towel, cursing himself for not just saying it already.

Grabbing a towel, he walked back to Kara, the words on the tip of his tongue when Kara let out a surprised yelp. He paused as she held her hand...and was shocked beyond belief when he saw blood coming down her finger.

Kara stared at her finger with wide eyes as she whispered.

"I'm bleeding..."

The next few chapters may be non-cannon chapters because they relate to the Godzilla side of things.
