The cargo ship Kagayashi Showeisi had earlier today set sail from Japan to deliver goods to the USA, needed to make toys and other things. Usually, journeys across the Pacific from Japan to the USA took months or weeks.

But the Showeisi's journey was set to last two weeks as its engine was advanced for fast travel. The fog horn blew loudly, piercing the dark night.

Passing by Godzilla Island looked ridiculous to the captain and his crew, due to the fact that at any minute, Godzilla himself could set the ship in flames or just sink it normally.

The captain of the ship was Russo-Japanese ex-navy officer Ishiro Choveski, a man in his late 30s with a white beard, buff build and brown eyes, wearing a blue uniform. His second in command was Japanese-Italian-American Guzimazo Evans.

"Just ridiculous." Choveski, who was at the wheel, grumbled in English, disgusted at the sight of Godzilla Island, "I dunno WHY we have to pass by that damn island. Luckily, that shit-face Godzilla is too busy to bother us."

"The Island and Godzilla ain't the only problem this ocean has to throw at us, cap'n." Evans said sarcastically, looking at the instruments on the bridge, "Bet ya haven't heard the rumors we got a ghost dinosaur on the loose."

Choveski glared at him, "GHOST DINO? WHAT THE DAMN HADES ARE YOU ON ABOUT, SAILOR?"

Evans smirked, "I'll tell you…"

He was interrupted, "No need. I know. I heard on the radio, ghost attacks nuclear plant, ghost seen attacking cruise ship, ghost attacks an American army base.

"Its not like the 1954 Godzilla is back and is suddenly gonna show up to sink us like he did with the ships 51 years ago."

"Oh really? Look at the sonar. I see a blip slowly approaching, I bet the ocean is gonna burst into flames and you're gonna go down with the ship, all of us."

Choveski laughed, stepping away from the wheel to glare at his partner, "Ok, Evans. Tell you what, me and the others will abandon ship and sail away to some island before heading back to the mainland while you and half my men man the ship and try to ensure the shipment reaches the USA mainland."

Evans looked shocked, "What? Sir, are you mad?"

Choveski got up close in his face, making Evans more nervous, "You dare talk back? I'll be madder than a wet hen if you don't back down, fool, you're telling me that Ghost Godzilla's coming to get us. The only one who can go down with this ship is you, Captain Guziamo. Sayonara sucker!"

Choveski grabbed Evans by the arm and dragged him to the wheel, placing the young man's hands on it, before turning on a mike.

"ATTENTION." He spoke in Japanese, "This is the ex-captain, this ship is doomed to sink. In preparation, I have promoted my second in command to captain. 5 of you shall report to the bridge, while 14 of you join me in the lifeboats. The other 14 shall remain here to look after the cargo. That's all."

Within a minute, 5 Korean-Japanese sailors were on the bridge as Choveski finished packing his belongings and prepared to leave. "You two, keep an eye on Evans and don't let him run. Guns in case." As he left, the sailors saluted.

Evans could only shrug, he had been wanting to captain a ship for a long time. The only problem was, they had just started to pass Godzilla island. Least they weren't too close to it and were miles away from it, though it looked close up and, boy, it was frightening when Godzilla was on the brain.

Outside the bridge, Choveski and his men had finished loading the lifeboats and were boarding them, half the men who stayed behind made sure to cut the ropes/wires, the boats dropped into the sea.

Cackling like madmen, Choveski and his loyalists began to row away from the Showeisi, eager to watch the scene that would unfold when it happened…

Steering the ship and making sure to stay on course, Evans often looked at the radar. Somehow, the red blip was quite close. He began to sweat, was choosing to stay here and go down with the ship a bad idea after all?

Before he could think any more, the engines stopped and suddenly the ocean began to glow white, then… BOOM!

The ocean erupted in flames, the ship exploded too, beginning to sink. The only thing Evans could do as the water swallowed the Showeisi was salute his men and his men saluted back.

Water raced into the cabin, on deck, people screamed as they burned and drowned. A few radio operators managed to get out a last radio message to the mainland, alerting people of what happened.

The victims paid no attention to the phantom responsible for this rising from the depths and thus, they failed to see the very creature responsible for this tragic travesty…

Sound asleep, Godzilla was awakened by the loud explosion. Getting to his feet in his wide cave, the towering Kaiju marched out and headed to the beach, knowing that was where the sound came from.

Trees and plants were crunched beneath his feet and the ground rumbled under Godzilla's footsteps, the green-skinned mutated dinosaur did not care as he wanted to know what was going on here.

Making it to the beach, Godzilla watched as a ship, engulfed in flames, with screaming people, sinking beneath the ocean. "Grrrrrr!" Godzilla hardly showed pity for humans unless it was necessary, if humans were harmed, he would not give a crud.

But then… That was when it rose from the sea. A phantom, rising from the grave. A tall dinosaur, the same height as the Big G, dark burned skin, maple leaf-shaped small dorsal plates on its back and beady eyes.

As the ship vanished beneath the waves, the phantom raised its head to the sky and roared. "GRRRRAAAYOOOOOOOROOONK! GRRRRRYAAAAAAAAAAAAAOOOAAAAREEEEEEEEOOOONK!"

Not knowing what was going on, Godzilla stood there in silence, fearing the beast would notice him. But that creature looked like him, could it be…?

No. The croc-faced beast thought. That was impossible, he was a Godzillasaurus Rex, relative of the T-Rex from the Jurassic. Whatever this ghost was, it was from some unknown era.

The phantom finished roaring and vanished into thin air, steam billowed from the water from where the ship sunk. "Raaaaaaawwwwrrrr rawr!" Godzilla growled. The monster talk translation; "Hey, what the heck is goin' on here?"

Failing to notice a metal ship was in the sky, the daikaiju set foot in the ocean, deciding to give pursuit after the ghost monster resembling him, fearing that his status as the King of the Monsters was in jeopardy and he had to prove himself again…

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Interesting!" Mad scientist John Koschizawa chuckled, observing Godzilla leave his island on the Gamma Computer Screen. Electronics were at work, flashing, beeping and whirring all over the ship.

"Godzilla seems to think he will be a match for Ghost Godzilla. That won't be the case, he's gonna put up a good fight, in the end, my phantom will beat him and then go on to decimate every city. Then millions will be mine.

"First, a toast to the brilliance of myself. Oh, Doctor John Koschizawa, you are a genius in reviving 1954 Godzilla to wreck havoc. Soon, the international community will be eating their words."

Pressing a gold button on his console, the mad scientist Koschizawa helped himself to a glass of dark-gold vodka wine he'd invented.
