(Season 2x14 = Candy Morningstar)

# It's been two weeks since Lucifer left Los-Angeles after we helped him save Chloe's life. I still have no idea where he is, he hasn't called, texted… anything. He's gone completely off the grid. The last thing he asked from me and Amenadiel, was that we'd watch over Chloe. I mean, other than almost losing her, Luci went through a lot. Revisiting Hell, getting stuck in his own Hell-loop and facing Uriel, and Mam risking her life to go get him back. Even though it didn't change all manipulations, all the lies, all the pain she caused him. I will still be thankful to Mam for saving him.

# Within these last two weeks, Chloe won't admit it, but I could tell, she misses and is still a little worried about Luci. Because nearly every morning at work, Chloe has been quietly asking me about him. You know; asking me where he is? Or has he reached out to me? But my answers were all the same, 'no and I don't know.' If Lucifer does come back, he most likely gonna get slapped in the face for going AWOL on everyone. Most likely from me. Meanwhile, Mam has been spending her time making-out with random strangers while complaining about Lucifer's disappearance to them over at LUX. Maze has being getting inside Mam's head, worrying her about the 'punishment' Lucifer will deliver to her if he comes back.

# As for me, besides being Chloe's 'part-time guardian angel,' I recently applied for the forensics-exam. If I pass it, I'll get a promotion and I'll be allowed to attend crime scenes. It's a few weeks away, but still, how cool would it be if I attended crime scenes?

Until that day arrived, Chloe had received a new case, the murder of a lead guitarist from a local rock band named Ash Corrigan. While Chloe and Dan were working on the case, they came back to the precinct to look over any suspects when… a familiar face interrupted them. Lucifer had finally returned.

Hearing his voice, Jophiel stepped outside of the lab:

Hairstyle: Side-swept ponytail

Top: Mint, Spaghetti-strap vest + Yin & Yang, Halter neck tank top.

Bottoms: Lemon, Skinny jeans + Thin Blue belt

Footwear: Blue, ballet flats.

# Lucifer came back… fine. He didn't seem to have the same emotions he had before he left, which might actually be a good thing. And Chloe looked very relieved about his return. Until he ruined the moment by opening his mouth.

Chloe: Lucifer, I was really, really, worried about you…

Lucifer: Shhh. Hold that thought. I have news.

Chloe: (concern to frustration) What…wow. You just… you go AWOL for two weeks, and then you have the NERVE, to come here and shush me?

Dan: Yeah, you have some serious explaining to do man?

Jophiel: That's what I would like to know too. where have been in the last two weeks Luci?

Lucifer: Yes, I know that, and I'm about too. should we all have a sit down?

Chloe: No. spill it. I'm dying to know where you've been.

Woman: Lucifer?!

# Then all of a sudden, a young woman, dressed like a Barbie doll came strolling down the staircase, claiming to know Lucifer. And Lucifer seemed to know her too.

Lucifer: Candy, darling, I told you to wait in the car.

Candy: But it's so stuffy in there.

Lucifer: But it's a convertible.

Candy: Plus I wanted to show your police friends just how generous my honey is. (Shows a very large DIAMOND RING!)

Jophiel: (Looks with both mouth and eye's wide open, unable to speak)

Candy: He paid that sketchy diamond guy a ginormous pile of cash for it.

Lucifer: Well… (Gives the, 'just a smidge' hand sign)

Chloe: Lucifer, who is this?

Lucifer: Right. Meet Candy Morningstar. My wife. (Put's his arm around her, revealing his WEDDING RING!)

# Once I was able to regain my face, Lucifer told us his story. As it turns out, Luci spent the last two weeks in Las-Vegas trying to blow off some steam. And somehow, he ended up meeting Candy at this night-club working as an 'exotic-dancer.' And one thing led to another… my brother is married! What's worse, he doesn't seem to release how much this was hurting Chloe.

# Which, doesn't sound like him at all. Lucifer may an eejit sometimes and he's made really, really, stupid choices before… But, despite everything that happened between him and Chloe, I know the last thing he would ever want to do is hurt her. Especially like this. Which means he's is up to something.

So, while Chloe was interrogating the victim's ex-wife Courtney, and with Lucifer and Dan listening from the other side of the room, Jophiel took it upon herself to walk up and talk to her new… 'Sister-in-law' at Chloe's desk.

Jopheil: Hi, we haven't officially met I'm…

Candy: Oh my god, aren't you Lucifer's little sister?

Jophiel: Ah, yes. Yes I am. I'm Joei.

Candy: Wow, you so much prettier in person. And I sooo love your outfit, what'd you get that top?

Jophiel: Ah…thank you. And I actually made this top.

Candy: So, your a scientist and a designer. That is totes cool.

Jophiel: Well I'm an assistant, but ummm… let's talk a little less about me, and more about mi new, 'Sister-in-Law.'

Candy: I guess we are basically sisters now. Okay, what do you want to know?

Jophiel: (grabs a seat and sits next to Candy) Well, before I 'really' get to know you better. I want to ask ye a question.

Candy: *nods* Mmm-Hmm.

Jophiel: (looks into Candy's eyes) What is your greatest inspiration?

Candy: I… I, want to be the best business woman I can be.

Jophiel: Business woman? …. (Gets interrupted when Chloe, Dan and Lucifer exited the interrogation room.)

After talking with Courtney, she mentioned that during the her divorce settlement with Ash. The divorce mediator was likely scamming both Courtney and the victim out of their money. Because at the time, Ash was 'couch-surfing' with one of his bandmates.

Eventually, Dan confirmed Courtney's alibi, she was indeed working at the time of the murder. As for the mediator, Dan got a hit, his name is Anthony Annan and so far, he has a clean record, and only Courtney's word points him as a Suspect.

# Until Candy, recognised him as 'mannequin hair' in one of the crime scene pictures. He was standing with the crowd, behind the police tape. Meaning they had a new lead. Unfortunately, while Dan was working on a way to meet with him, Chloe had bit of a spat with Lucifer. She really had it with him. I'm pretty sure the whole precinct could hear the whole thing. How Lucifer wasn't even on the case, how their partnership ended when he disappeared on everyone, him coming back and acting as if nothing's happened and her telling him, she doesn't need him anymore. Although I agree, I really don't think Chloe should've yelled at him like that. And I really don't think she meant it when she said she doesn't need Lucifer. After Chloe kicked Lucifer and Candy out of the precinct, I went back to the lab to work on the case.

Ella: Wow. That was pretty heated.

Jophiel: I'm guessing you heard it too huh.

Ella: I'm pretty sure half of the city could hear it. Honestly, I've never seen Decker this mad before.

Jophiel: Yeah, did you see that vain on her neck, looked like a bolt of lightning. besides that, what'd you doing?

Ella: I'm trying to figure out what caused these abrasions on Ash's head. So far, I have nada.

Jophiel: Hmm. Maybe I can draw some sort of reconstructed diagram of the murder weapon.

Ella: You can do that?

Jophiel: Yeah, I just need a closer look at the wounds and maybe the M.E.'s report that shows the amount of pressure that was applied to the head wounds.

Ella: I'm so on it. By the way, you are sooo gonna crush that forensics exam. (leaves to get the report)

So, Ella gave Jophiel a close-up image of the victims head, the M.E.'s report on the injuries and Jophiel started working on her diagram. She was almost finished when Ella asked….

Ella: So… I saw you talking to Candy earlier. She seems… nice.

Jophiel: She does, doesn't she? Still, I don't understand how my brother ended up marrying someone after spending only two weeks in Vegas. I mean, I know he going through somethings. But cop-on! What is he playing at?

Ella: Well, I a lot of weird stuff can happen in Vegas, 'believe' me. And, if your that concerned about your brother, why don't you just ask him?

Jophiel: Well, it's Lucifer for starters. But… maybe your right. I could at least try to talk to him. Which will have to wait till later, because I just finished your murder weapon. (Shows Ella the picture of an electric bass)

Ella: Are you sure?

Jophiel: Positive, based on the circular moulds the victims head and where the murder took place, it was most likely an electric bass. It's not from a guitar because guitars have six tuning-keys while a bass only has four. That's how many moulds were on Ash's head.

Ella: Oh man, I gotta tell Decker about this. (takes out her phone) Good job Jo.

Around the same time Ella called Chloe, she and Lucifer had found another new lead in the case. Thanks to Lucifer who came up with the idea of going undercover to meet with the mediator and have Chloe disguise herself as Candy. When Ella called Chloe, she told her that the murder weapon was most likely a bass. The question that remained was, who's bass was it?

After talking with the mediator, Chloe and Lucifer discovered that Ash and mediator were working on some sort of deal. The mediator was trying to become the bands manager and was using Courtney's divorce money to pay for the bands merchandise. And the reason why he was at the crime scene was because Ash was planning on kicking the bassist, Marla out of the band and he went down there to talk some sense into Ash. But by the time he arrived Ash was already dead.

Back at the precinct, Chloe, Dan, Ella and Jophiel were going over Marla's record. Revealing she's previous had trouble with the law for mostly public intoxication, vandalism, etc. However, it painted her more as a troublemaker than a killer.

Dan: How'd you get the lead?

Chloe: I got in to see the mediator.

Jophiel: (smirking) Really, How?

Chloe: Lucifer did a thing.

Ella: Yes, I knew you guys would patch things up. (puts her hands together and looks up in delight)

Chloe: Nope. Not even close.

Ella: (smiles to frown) Not even close.

Jophiel: Oh cop on, Chloe. How long can you stay mad at him?

Dan: yeah, I mean, it's sounds like he's trying to help.

Chloe: Why are you rooting for him?

Dan: I'm not rooting for him…

Chloe: Okay, anyhow, to me, Marla reads like a troublemaker, not a killer.

Ella: Oh, unless you count crimes against fashion. (Shows the bands record cover) yikes.

Jophiel: oof, even local rockers in the 80s had better style than that.

Ella: (notices a picture of Marla holding the bass in the back of the cover) Hey Joei, remember when you theorized that the murder was a bass?

Jophiel: Yes.

Ella: (shows the picture) Looks like you were right.

Dan: So, you think it was the knobs on Marla's bass?

Ella: I mean, I still have to do further tests, but it sure looks like Tetris to me.

Chloe: Okay, maybe Marla's our girl. We gotta find her, and that instrument. (get's out of her desk and goes to follow her new lead)

When Chloe went to find Marla at a local rock-club, she was completely unaware of Lucifer's presence. Somebody from the precinct told him, she'd be there and it gave Lucifer the perfect opportunity to give her a grand gesture of sorts. He got up on stage and sang a 'classic rockers-sweet, 90s jam.' (Eternal flame) afterwards, he had the audience find Marla and pushed her on the stage. Catching their latest suspect and Lucifer proving to Chloe that she still needs him.

While Marla was in custody, Ella had already processed her bass, giving Lucifer an excuse to play it while he was in the lab with Jophiel. (who was taking notes for her exam)

Chloe: (walking into the lab) That better not be Marla's bass.

Lucifer: It's been processed. And, I've written you a song. Ready? *singing* Crime solving devil it makes sense don't overthink it…

Jophiel: (shaking her head while smiling)

Ella: (walking in the with results) Okay, it was wiped down pretty good, but… I found traces of Ash's blood on the tuning-knobs.

Lucifer: What, so Marla's the killer? Murder solved. And I believe that proves just how the department needs me. Including you.

Chloe: I don't. (turns to Jophiel) And did you have tell him where I was?

Jophiel: I can assure you Chloe, it wasn't me.

Lucifer: It was Daniel actually. I suppose even he can see, just how much you need me.

Chloe: …

Ella: Uh, we got a stalker. Which is normally bad, but makes me very happy right now cause I was getting very uncomfortable.

(Lucifer, Jophiel and Chloe look outside the lab and see that it's Amenadiel)

Lucifer: What on earth does he want? (walks out of the lab)

Jophiel: That's not a stalker, that's our older brother Amenadiel. Excuse us please. (follows Lucifer out of the lab too)

The siblings then took it upon themselves to talk privately in the break room.

Amenadiel: You know Joei and I have watched over Chloe for weeks after you disappeared right?

Lucifer: Angels or creepers brother, it's a fine line.

Jophiel: This isn't a joke Luci! You've been gone for two weeks, AND YOU GOT MARRIED WITH NO EXPLANITION! We did as you asked and watched over her for you!

Amenadiel: Like a couple of idiots!

Jophiel: Yeah, so you owe us an explanation, Now!

Amenadiel: Don't you see? We watched over her, cause we thought she meant something to you. We all know she's special.

Lucifer: Oh, that she is. A whoopee-cushion sent from Dad. I'm sure he's having a right old laugh at the moment.

Amenadiel: Right. So that means it's okay to turn your back on Chloe?

Jophiel: And just ignore all those feelings she might still have for you?

Lucifer: Feelings she had no control over. Feelings that aren't real.

Amenadiel: But she doesn't know that.

Lucifer: WHICH IS WHY I HAD TO SAVE HER FROM…

Jophiel: From you.

Amenadiel: Your not ignoring Chloe, your protecting her because she had no choice.

Lucifer: So I gave it back to her.

Amenadiel: By holding up a shield made of 'Candy.' I'm sorry Lucifer.

Jophiel: Me too Luci.

Amenadiel: You should at least explain some this to Mom. She's upset.

Lucifer: Good.

Amenadiel: She died and went to Hell for you Luci. For you. She faced her greatest fears all because she loves you.

Lucifer: Oh, come on…

Amenadiel: Yes, she hurt you. But she was just doing what she thought was best for you. And from what you just told me, I'm quite sure you can relate to that. Come on. What more does it take?

Jophiel: He's right. I don't approve of what Mam did to you. But, if it wasn't for her, Chloe would be dead and you would still be stuck in a Hell-loop right now.

Amenadiel and Jophiel then left the room and went their separate way's, leaving Lucifer alone to think.

As for the case, Marla wasn't the killer. She doing a video recording of her and a fan she made a fake ID for at the time of death. She also had no prior knowledge of Ash wanting to kick her out of the band. However, the video did show the bands drummer, Doug holding the bass. Proving he had it last. While Dan stayed to finish Marla's arrest report, he convinced Chloe into taking Lucifer to confront Doug.

After confronting and arresting Doug, a worried Candy came by and revealed just how much Lucifer cares about his…'work.' And how Chloe's the reason why he's so messed up. Allowing her to realize that she wasn't the only one who going through a lot when she was poisoned.

# Even though their partnership is still a little rocky at the moment, it's nice to know that they'll still be working together. As for Lucifer and Mam, he won't forgiver her, but he does respect her for what she did for him. Candy on the other hand, we only met her for a day and she and Luci are already getting an annulment! She's also going back home to Vegas. Seriously though, how did Lucifer meet this woman?

I guess she'll out find later in season 3. Hope you guys enjoyed the story, because the next chapter might be delayed because it's my birthday this week. Anyway, if you like what you've been reading so far, please comment/review.
