Sorry that it took so long for me to write this, I have been having major writers block. I hope you like this chapter (at least a little)

"C'mon Steve, you now that Nat doesn't like me" Sharon whines. Truthfully she's also a little scared but it's unlikely for Nat to kill her in front of Nadia.

"You're the one who said that I should try, that she needs to grow. If she treats me like crap, I'll let you take a shot at her"

"That's not what I said" Sharon says, slightly annoyed with Steve's feelings about the situation. The week had given him enought time to set his mind straight. Plus, if they get back by 7, they would be able to attend Nadia's Nutcrcker performace. It was all Steve was thinking about while he was packing the car. He couldn't tell what was a lie and what wasn't. Appparently she had contacted Barton, he knew that much. But there was one main question on is mind; was Bucky the reason that Nat wouldn't get in a relationship with him? It totally could be though. Nat isn't totally known for telling the truth. "We got to go" Sharon brings him out of his mind.

"Stop thinking about her. She's a wildcard with two big bickering babies and a child. Who knows what she's going to say?" Sharon advises as they both get in the car.

Steve agrees and turns to the garment to check their route. "It says we should be at the performance hall by 6:30"

The rest of the ride is pleasently silent. Silence is a gift that neither of them know too much about. Unfortunatally, the holidy traffic make it so that they arrive fifteen minutes later than expected. Steve sees this as a slight win so he doesn't have to face Nat before the performance and can enjoy seeing it in peace.

Steve gets out of the car and rushes over to Sharon as he sees her about to slip on the ice.

"Thanks"

"Let's go, the lights are flashing" Steve smiles as they approach the outside of the performance hall. There are snowflakes (that looked like they were made by ten year olds, but adorable none the less) and small pictures of each of the young ballerinas.

Sharon leads in while Steve arches his neck to see if Sam is here. Sharon pays for the late minute tickets and grabs Steve's shirt so they can go into the auditorium. Sharon is able to find Sam, with the obvious SHIELD undercover look and takes a seat next to hinm. Where their tickets say they should sit is the least of their worries right now.

"Ah hell no" Sam groans as he sees the two sit down next to him. "Does she know that you're coming?"

"Nope" Steve answers, trying to adjust to the small seat. God bless the people sitting behind him, they're not going to see anything.

"She's going to freak" Sam comments.

"I'm just here to see Nadia"

"No you're not" Sam and Sharon object. "What did you tell him?" Sam asks her.

"I said that they both need time to adjust and grow. I also told them not to rip each other's neck out while doing it" Sharon explains.

Sam nods and moves his face back to the stage. Nat comes out on stage in a deep red dress that makes Steve gulp. She looks so perfect, like nothing else is going on. She looks like the regular badass that he's gone on missions with. Maybe this was her new mission, hiding her feelings. Even thinking that makes Steve worry. Yes, after his talk with Sharon, he realized how toxic their relationship could be. He still wants to try though.

"Hello everyone. My name is Nat and welcome to my company's rendition of the Nutcracker. This is our first year open and I want to say thank you so much to all the parents for trusting me to train your children in the art of ballet and all your time driving in the snow. Please turn off all your phones and we will be taping the performance so please enjoy the show." Nat gives the crowd one of her irrisitible smiles and walks calmly off the stage.

Nat hands Casey the microphone as she walks back into the hallway. Nadia notices her mother's distress and gets out of line to runt o her.

"What's wrong Mom?" She asks.

"Your father's here. He came to see you. He even brought one of our friends." She covers up, hoping that Nadia would think that they were tears of happiness instead of confusion and frustration.

Nadia shakes her head, her mom often forgets that she was also raised as a spy and can read simple emotions. "I don't believe you. Love you Mom" She gives Nat a slight hug and gets back into the line with the rest of the nine year olds.

Nat wipes the few tears that fell from her face. She knew that she was treating Steve like shit. She also knew that he didn't deserve it. She has no idea what the relationship between Sharon and Steve is. She just hopes that Steve knows about the relation between Sharon and Peggy or else. She just cringes thinking about it. But she also knows that if Steve doesn't know, she can't bring it up or it would be almost as if she would be using that to help what Steve thought of Sharon. She couldn't do that to Sharon.

She goes backstage to help out Casey, who had made sure to stay six feet away from her after she stopped talking to him. Luckily for Nat, he was professional and didn't quit. Intermission came without any trouble. To Nat's surprise, nobody forgot the dance on stage or brokedown when they were about to go on. She saw this as a complete win.

She goes into the back room, she didn't allow the students out from backstage if they weren't handing raffle prizes and all that. But this was kind of important so.

"Nadia" she calls into the changing room. "Lydia, do you know where Nadia is?"

The ten year old shakes her head. "A man came in with a mask and asked to see her outside. He kind of forced her outside the room, but she said not to worry about it. We were about to come find you."

"Do you know his name?" Nat asks in hope that it's not who she thinks it is.

"She said his name was like Brick or something" Lydia answers.

Nat mumbles a curse, she needs to find Steve, now.
