EPILOGUE
CARLISLE
With the Volturi destroyed Carlisle meets with the other coven leaders and Vampires at his home. "We should form a council. The Council can be made up of Coven leaders. A council of Elder Vampires…We will enforce Vampire law, but we won't be as cruel as the Volturi…And we will allow second chances. Are all agreed?"
The Council will be made up of Carlisle, Vladimir, Kachiri, Siobhan, Amun, Xavier, Tanya, Hoghiro a Vampire from Japan who refused to help Carlisle. His brother Toshiro was killed by Aro as a warning to the Japanese Coven. Chao Xiang of China rounded out the group. He did not come because of a civil war in China between his coven and another. Chao's Coven is the oldest in China. The other was made up of younger Vampires with a few older members. Emmette and Rosalie had visited China and befriended Chao's mate Mei.
The council would use the old Volturi compound and meet twice a year. Siobhan insists the Maggie be present when they meet. Eleazar is also present, the two can ensure that no one is trying to build an army in secret or gain power over other members.
After the first meeting Carlisle returns home to his family. "Before she left…Bree suggested that I tell my parents and make them immortal." Bell says to the whole family.
"We can't…Our treaty with the Quilleute forbids it." Carlisle says.
"There are ways around that…I mean what if my father was out of town and someone else bit him. And my mother…She doesn't live here…We get somebody to do it for us."
"Bella." Edward says her name affectionately, "You, know how I feel about that."
"Alice…Can you see…Can you see what would happen if we turned my parents."
She closes her eyes. Sometimes Alice can purposefully see a vision. "I…I…I see your mother…If she was bitten…Yes she would become one of us."
"And my father?" Bella asks.
Alice opens her eyes and takes a deep breath exhausted. Calling up visions on purpose is taxing. "If the vision comes it will have to come in its own time…I can try again after I am rested." A month passes by before Alice sees a vision. "I saw three different outcomes with your father. In one scenario he is very angry at you for keeping this from him…He keeps the secret, but he never speaks to you again…Also in this scenario he rejects your offer. The next scenario I pulled up myself…Your father dies from the bite given to him by Eleazar…The last is…Well he dies of old age. On his death bed you visit him and tell him the truth before he dies…He dies happy."
They ask Tanya to bite Bella's mother and turn her. She in turn bites Phil and the two join the Cullens deciding to live like them.
BREE
Bree returns to Australia with Xavier, Luanne, and Erick. The Nomads Peter and Charlotte decide to join their coven. They take Alec with them as a forced member and guard. He often begs Xavier to kill him, but eventually Xavier orders him to stop asking and live his life in his service. After a year Bree and Xavier start to travel the world via her teleportation. They bring Alec along who falls in love with a Nomad in Jamaica.
Xavier allows them to be together, but Constance can never know about Xavier's gift or that he controls Alec.
