Elsa and Jack Frost.

Chapter 11

This was it.

Elsa had made it to the live finally and she was ready to really give it her all.

She's been through so much as is these years and was going to prove she wasn't just the snow queen to the world. She was someone else. She was Elsa, the Snow Queen.

She reread the text messages from all her friends.

"You'll do great Elsa!" Anna and her sweet and loud cheering from the start.

"Knock em dead!" Astrid being her powerful and strong self.

"Don't literally do this, but break a leg." Rapunzel being her cheery and nice self.

"You will rock this stage!" Kristoff and Sven both made her laugh.

"Go get them sis!" Olaf being his...well, his Olaf way.

Elsa couldn't help but feel loved by everyone.

"Even if you don't win, you are a star in our eyes." Hiccup had just sent the message a moment ago and Elsa couldn't help but tear up at it.

Her friends, everyone was here for her. They saw her for her true self from the start and supported and protected her from everything. Standing right beside her.

"You haven't even gone on stage yet and your crying?"

Elsa snapped her head up from her phone. She didn't bother turning around. She knew who it was. "You shouldn't be back here. It's for us dancers and other personnel." She said.

"Ah. You know me. I'm nothing more than a spoiled trickster." Jack Frost had her turn around in anger ready to slap him, but he didn't move a step. He wasn't actually back stage. Just outside of it.

"I just wanted to tell you in person." He said.

He had a look of seriousness on his face.

Elsa wasn't sure what trick this was, but she knew it couldn't be good.

"What is it Jack? What do you want that gives you the right to come to talk to me like this."

"I'm Leaving Elsa." His words were so sad and serious.

Elsa felt like her heart just shattered into a million pieces hearing those words echoing in her mind. "What?"

"I have to leave. I'll be back. I promise. But it's winter and it's my job to bring joy and fun to the world. So I have to go. I just wanted to tell you, you will always be a Snowball to me." He said with a shy grin.

His grin wasn't like his teasing smirks or joking and laughing smiles. He was truly sad. He had to leave and couldn't stay with her for her biggest moment.

"I see." She said.

"Good luck to you. Maybe I'll watch it from someone else TV or something. I'm sure Bunnymud will be watching." Jack finally teased to try and hide his sadness.

But Elsa could feel it coming off him. "I am a guardian. It's my job. So, I'll see you...In April I guess. Maybe I'll stop by sooner if I'm in town." Jack said still faking a smile.

"I'm so sorry." Elsa this time was in tears. Not of happiness but of sadness. "I had you talk about yourself and...you brought up so many sad memories."

"Hey!" Jack finally did break in backstage as he took that step to her. Hugging her tight he sighed. "There is no way it's your fault. Besides, I do this job for my sister. To protect those I care about now. All my friends, my new family, and for the one person I really..."

He stopped talking. Elsa could feel a tear on her shoulder. But before she could ask, he was gone.

"Jack? Jack!"

Elsa quickly wiped her tears and read the last message on her phone before she was called up.

"Don't worry about me Snowball. I'll be back sooner before you can blink. Your reading this as I've left. I've watched you practice since the beginning of the year and you will totally win this. You are Elsa Snow the Snow Queen of this town and the woman who will prove that no one can judge a person by what some prophecy tells you. You over powered yourself and saw the love in yourself and others. Anna told me your story the day we met. And you will always be the one star in everyone's eyes, but in mine, you are much more than a star."

It was Jack. He left her one final message.

"I hope to see you again Jack." Of all the things she's said to him, he has always been there exactly in front of her. Not against her but with her as one person.

"Your next Miss Snow." The stage hand told her.

Elsa smiled. "Right." Elsa put away her phone and headed to the center of the stage.

"And here is our last contestant of the night, Miss Elsa Snow."

Elsa looked out at everyone in the seats but as she looked up, Jack was still here.

He was smiling happily above her looking down. He wasn't going to leave without seeing her final dance.

Elsa smiled and closed her eyes, taking a breath, she began. My baby. She thought in her mind. How Jack was always there, he was never fighting her or doing anything to her but to have her smile.

He was he baby. She, was in love with Jackson OverLord Frost. A guardian of fun and joy and a spirit of winter itself.

She couldn't help but laugh inside. She was a snow queen after all. So of course there be some attraction between them. But nothing this strong, could have ever been seen.

Unless Anna knew from the start and pulled an Angelica.

Anna of course Saw Jack watching Elsa from the top of the stage out of sight from most. And she smiled. "Finally, my sister will have her happy ending."
