Four days went by of Sakura and Sakiko staying with Itachi and Izumi, which Sakura honestly found herself enjoying despite the situation. She found that her and Izumi had a lot in common, and Izumi even confided in her that she was pregnant and trying to find the perfect time to tell Itachi. Sakiko also seemed to be enjoying the extended time with her aunt and uncle. She intently listened when Itachi read books to her, and squealed happily when Izumi launched a tickle attack on her.

But even with the good time they were having together, Sakura couldn't get Sasuke out of her head. Was he eating okay? Was he still angry at her? Did he even care anymore? All these thoughts were plaguing Sakura's mind since she hadn't heard from him since their fight. She was hoping for at least a text or call, something to show that he was thinking about them, but she received nothing.

Three more days went by before Sasuke finally arrived at his brother's house to get them. Itachi and Izumi were cooking breakfast together while Sakura fed Sakiko, when they heard the doorbell ring. "I'll get it" Itachi said, as he set the cooking utensils down and went to open the door. When he opened it he was met with Sasuke standing there, dressed in black sweatshirt, dark blue joggers and white sneakers.

"Have you come to make things right little brother?" Itachi asked with his brow raised. "Yes Itachi, where are they?" Sasuke said vehemently, starting to get anxious. "They're in the guest room, I trust you've come up with a way to fix things?" Itachi questioned, still not letting Sasuke inside yet. "Yes I have just let me in nii-san" Sasuke pleaded, getting irritated with his questions. After hearing that Itachi just squeezed his shoulder and finally let him inside.

Sasuke arrived at the guest room and knocked before entering, "Is breakfast ready Itachi?" was all he heard back, so he decided to just open the door.

When he stepped inside he was met with a sight that he didn't realize he missed until now. Sakura was sitting up against the headboard of the bed, night shirt bunched up, with a tired smile on her face. While Sakiko was nuzzled close to her chest as she drank, trying to get as much nourishment as she could. Sakura had once explained to him that stress affects a woman's milk supply, and he was seeing that now as Sakiko flailed her arm and whimpered. Sensing her baby's distress, Sakura took hold of her hand and rubbed small circles on her palm, trying to help her calm down.

Seeing them like this made Sasuke's chest ache, how could he have treated them the way he did? He then closed the door behind him which caused Sakura to look up from her baby and lock eyes with her husband. "Sasuke-kun, what are you doing here?" Sakura asked while looking away from him, not wanting to cry or fight with him again. "Sakura please look at me, I'm sorry for everything I've done to you. I was being selfish because I thought that only my problems mattered, please let me make it up to you both" Sasuke said all at once, still standing by the door.

"Sasuke-kun I forgive you for what you did to me, but please don't ignore Sakiko like that again. She doesn't understand the situation, only that you're brushing her aside" Sakura croaked out, upset that their innocent daughter had been dragged into their fight. "Don't forgive me just yet, I still need to make up for it. And I promise I'll never treat her like that again." Sasuke said, as he came and sat down next to them, before continuing, "Can I hold her?" he asked, hoping she wasn't upset enough to say no.

After he asked, Sakiko unlatched from Sakura and started squirming around, face scrunched up in discomfort. So Sakura fixed her shirt and then gently handed Sakiko over to Sasuke without saying a word.

When Sasuke had his baby girl back in his arms, he instantly felt a wave of relief wash over him. He then laid her across his shoulder and patted her back to burp her. And he couldn't help but hold her close, almost desperately, as he whispered how sorry he was and how much he loved her. He then placed a long, lingering kiss on her head before finally looking at Sakura.

They didn't say anything for a while, Sasuke only reached his hand out for hers, which she slowly took and wrapped her fingers around his. "You didn't mean what you said right? About not needing me?" Sakura asked, emerald eyes looking at their joined hands. "Of course I didn't, and I regret every word of it. You were just trying to fix things and I made them worse" Sasuke answered, angry at himself for making her doubtful of what she means to him.

Sakura thought over his words for a moment before saying, "So how are you going to make it up to me?" with a glint of a smile. "First you're going to come over here so I can kiss you, and then we're going to take a trip" Sasuke said, as he opened his free arm to her. So Sakura moved closer to him and he wrapped his arm around her shoulders and kissed her forehead, then her nose, then both of her cheeks, the side of her mouth, before finally connecting their lips together.

The couple stayed like that for what felt like a long time, relishing in the feeling of being so close after being apart for so long. But they were forced to part whenever Sakiko started whining and wiggling around in Sasuke's hold. "I think she needs to be changed" Sakura pointed out, as she went to take her from him. "I got it, you've been doing everything for the past month" Sasuke reminded her, as he got up and went to the diaper bag and then said, "Do you want to start packing your stuff up so we can leave?" as he laid Sakiko on the makeshift changing table Sakura had made. "But Itachi and Izumi are making breakfast" Sakura said with a pout, as she got up and wrapped her arms around him from behind.

Sasuke was about to say that they should just leave and that they've been there long enough, but then he remembered that his mouth is what got them into this situation in the first place. "Ah we'll stay then" Sasuke affirmed, as he felt his wife tighten her grip on him and rest her head on his shoulder blades.

They stayed like that while Sasuke finished changing Sakiko's diaper and then dressed her in a frilly long sleeve purple romper, with matching booties and elastic headband. "Beautiful as always" Sasuke whispered as he finished clasping the buttons on the romper, which caused a giggle from Sakura behind him.

Sakura then changed into a white t-shirt with a dark green puffer jacket and a pair of black biker shorts, with white sneakers similar to her husband's. The trio then made their way to the kitchen where Itachi and Izumi were waiting at the table with breakfast already set out. As they sat down, Sasuke locked eyes with Itachi who gave him a nod of approval, pleased with what Sasuke had done.

After breakfast, Sasuke talked with Itachi and Izumi while they played with Sakiko some more before she left. About twenty minutes later, Sakura came into the living room with two bags in tow, signaling that she was ready to go. So they said their goodbyes, Sakura thanking Itachi and Izumi over and over again for letting them stay. Sasuke hugged his brother and his sister in law, quietly thanking them for watching his two precious girls, and for being so patient with him.

They all headed out together, and Sasuke put their bags in the trunk and started the car, while Sakura buckled Sakiko into her carseat. Sasuke and Sakura both waved goodbye once more before getting in the car and heading off. "It was nice having them here for a while" Izumi said wistfully, as she leaned her head on his broad shoulder. "Ah it was, but I'm glad they reconciled" Itachi replied, while wrapping his arm around her shoulders and pulling her close.

"But at least someone else will be coming to stay with us soon" Izumi said, smiling into his chest. Itachi tugged on her to look up at him, "Who else is coming?" with a slight frown. "Well I don't know their name or if they're a boy or girl, but they'll be here in about 7 months" Izumi revealed, a full smile on her face now.

She saw the wheels in her husband's head turning at her words until it finally clicked, "You're pregnant?" Itachi asked breathlessly, hands slightly shaking. "Yes! I'm only 6 weeks along so I'm not showing yet" Izumi explained to him, unable to contain her excitement.

Overwhelmed with happiness, Itachi picked Izumi up and hugged her tight, almost not able to believe that she was really pregnant. He then walked them back up and into the house, "Itachi you can put me down honey" Izumi told her husband sweetly. "You're pregnant, you shouldn't

be walking" Itachi said, now even more protective of his wife. At his words, all Izumi could do was playfully roll her eyes and kiss his cheek, knowing that he was going to be a great father.
