It has been so long since I've updated. Writers block seriously sucks. I could not focus on writing this chapter for so long. Not only that, but i don't ever have enough time to actually focus on the story. But I finally finished this chapter so I hope you enjoy.
A month had passed and Kuroko was doing everything he could to help the rebellion against his brothers. He had helped Riko in making weapons for those without abilities, while helping instruct them on how to use them. He would also spar with Kagami as he was the only one that could keep up with him. Like he was doing now.
"Phew. Good fight, Kuroko. " Kagami said, after his fight. It was pretty close, but he still lost against the smaller.
"Yeah it was. But Kagami-kun still messes up when trying to go from shifting to blocking." Kuroko said, taking a seat next to Nigou.
"Man, it's still weird that you actually know things about my shifting ability that I didn't even know."
"Well, one of my brothers did the same type of ability. Our eldest would alway have to fix his form and you kinda make the same mistakes he made."
"Oh. Well then…." After a moment of silence Kagami said, " Well let's do another match. I think I can do it right this time." Kagami said, changing the subject, knowing how sensitive the subject of his brothers was for the either of them can move, a voice called out to them.
"Why am I not surprised that you two are here?", the voice said.
"Oh, Hyuga-san, hello. Did you need something from us?" Kuroko questioned as he watched Hyuga walk up to them.
"Yeah. Riko wanted me to bring the two of you to her. She said she has some news for the two of you." Hyuga said and the four of them headed to Riko.
"Well now that the two of you are here, I have something to say. A while ago I sent a letter to several of our allies to help us train you guys. And we just got a response today from one, though they'll only have you for about three to five months. "
"What? Why the two of us?" Kagami asked, looking shocked.
"Well you two are the most powerful we have at our base and as sad as it is to say no one here will be able to help you train, besides each other. Also, I want Kuroko to help them with creating ability items."
"So where exactly are we being sent to?"
"The base you two are going to is part of the Rakuzan section. But be extra cautious while you're there. It's very close to the palace, and we don't want to draw attention to ourselves.
"Okay captain." Both of them say in unison.
"And I'll be escorting you two. And be coming back and forth to check on your progress." Kiyoshi said to the two.
"Also we'll probably have moved locations by the time you guys are finished training, so he'll also be staying there so he'll also guide you to where we'll be located. Do you two have anything you need to ask?" Riko questions.
"What about Nigou? Will they have a problem with him coming?" Kuroko asks, pointing to the large wolf.
"Oh yeah, he's not gonna stay put without you. But he's liable to draw a lot of attention so close to the city, since wolves aren't common in the first place." Hyuga says, scratching his chin in thought.
"I could try sending another message, but that means that it'll be awhile before we get a response. Meaning you guys will have to wait longer before you get better training." Riko said.
"But if he can go unnoticed, it would be fine?" Kuroko asks.
"I don't see why not. But it's hard to miss such a big wolf." Was Riko's response.
Looking at Nigou, Kuroko says, "Nigou, hide." After saying that, they all watch as the wolf starts to shrink, while sinking into Kuroko's shadow. "This solves it right?
"I guess." Riko said, her tone a bit uncertain. "Okay anything else?"
Shaking their heads, Riko dismisses the two, telling them to pack their things, and watches them leave.
"Are you sure it's gonna be ok sending those two there? From what I hear, they seem to have a ton of troubles there." Hyuga asked Riko, looking at the direction the three left.
"No, I'm not but it's likely the only way those two will get better. Like I said earlier, we don't have the power to train them since almost everyone's new to battle and the veterans are busy training them to get them caught up. At least not yet."
The three return to their rooms and begin packing up.
"Well that was unexpected. Do you think they'll actually have someone to train us?
"They should. If I remember correctly, that's where my cousin is stationed. And he helped me develop my skills.
"Well then, I can't wait." Kagami said excited about getting stronger.
"What are you two talking about?" A voice asked. Turning, the two see Fukuda, Furihata, and Kawahara.
"Nothing much. They're sending us off to a different base temporarily. We leave in two days." Kagami answered.
"No way. Though you two seem to have more experience than the rest of us. So I guess you guys do need more of a challenge to push yourselves." Furihata said.
"Yeah, it was expected that Kagami would be strong but Kuroko was definitely unexpected." Kawahara said, looking at the two.
"No joke. You're like the only one that can keep up with this guy." Fukuda said, agreeing with Kawahara.
"I get practice out of it as well." Kuroko said. Turning to Hiroshi, Kuroko said, "Since I won't be here to help with the maintenance, I'll leave instructions on how to maintain your weapon."
"That'll be a huge help. Thanks." Hiroshi said, grateful. Kuroko had given him a prototype weapon to use since he didn't have an ability he needed to train. The group talks about several other things before they see the time.
"Well, we'll leave you guys to pack. See you at dinnertime. " Furihata says, and the three boys exit, leaving Kagami and Kuroko to finish packing.
The next two days were spent with Kuroko telling the captain and the two people who were using his prototypes how to do maintenance. On the day it was time to leave, Riko gave the group a final message.
"You two, seriously be extremely careful. From what I hear the princes have been on the move around there lately. Don't let them catch you. And Teppei, make sure you come back as soon as they're dropped off."
"Don't worry Riko. I'll be in and out before anyone realizes anything. And I'm sure those two know the importance of being discrete while being there." Turning to the two young males, he says," Come on you two, let's get moving. "
Another chapter completed. Please review and tell me what you think.
