Chapter Nine – The Meeting

Author's Note:

I know you've each been itching for the moment when Stephen would meet the Dokis, and here you have it!

Please welcome, The Meeting . . .

Beginning –

Stephen looked down at his watch, 3:50. Almost time for that stupid club, he thought.

"244, 244, 244." He repeated, scanning the signs next to the classroom doors, identifying their number.

"244 – ah! Here it is." He walked up to one, pacing a hand on it and thrust it open.

"Hellos!" His jaw dropped at the mere sight, (and blood rushed to a certain place of his).

The club consisted of the same people he had previously seen: Unknown Entity, Unknown Entity, Monika and Sayori; all of which were incredibly hot!

"Stephen! I'm so happy you're here!" Sayori ran up, into Stephen's retracted arms.

"Sayori, get off me, will you? I don't even know you that well!" He muttered into her ear.

"Oh, sorry; I just got a little excited." Over someone joining a club?

"Anyways, look everyone! This is the new club member I've been talking about!" She proudly declared to the group of three, obviously satisfied she even managed to get one member.

"Yeah, yeah." The girl with short, weirdly, pink hair replied with an annoyed tone.

"Oh, come Natsuki; you may not have been able to get another member yourself, but be happy Sayori got one!" Monika exclaimed.

"I – I did not fail at getting another member!" She crossed her arms.

"Actually, you're right. What about that boy that thought you wanted to date him – so he agreed?"

"Th – that's beside the point!"

"- Welcome to the Literature Club! I'm Yuri; it's a pleasure to have you here." A girl with light purple hair interrupted the quarreling duo, bringing the attention back to me.

"Ah, yes." His voice trailed off, as he tried to not look down.

"I've prepared some tea, if you would like some." She said calmly.

"Oh, sure." He was glad he was able to make conversation with someone that seemed sane.

"Oh, well that was a good excuse." Natsuki mumbled to herself, making sure Stephen couldn't hear.

With everyone heading towards their respective places, Stephen plopped down in one of the chairs in the middle of the room.

There, he put his bag next to him, on the ground; retrieving three papers, along with a pen and led pencil.

"Oh, what's that?" Sayori asked, looking over his shoulder.

"Ah, fucking Jesus." Stephen jolted from his relaxed state into a level of awareness only seen by bodyguards, "Oh, hello."

"Sorry . . . but, what's that?" She pointed towards a photo that had fallen out of his binder.

"Uh, that's my girlfriend. Why?"

"Y – you have a girlfriend?"

"Doesn't everyone these days?"

"Well, I guess. What's her name?"

Glad that he was able to talk with another person, he delightfully answered, "Alicia. My pride and joy – even though she wouldn't care if I died – but that's irrelevant."

"She sounds very . . . nice."

"She is; even if she doesn't look it."

"So then -."

"Stephen, could you come here?"

Monika had called out to him from the closet, while standing next to a pouting, and obviously angered, Natsuki.

He walked over, thinking he had enough time before Yuri would be done brewing the tea – but to his dismay, she was already walking back towards him.

"Were you going somewhere?" She asked.

"Well, Heaven, I hope."

"I mean here."

"Heaven is where you want it to be."

"Shut up."

"Right. Um, Monika has requested my presence."

"Approved."

"What?"

"Nothing, have fun." She handed him the teacup; he took it warily.

Yuri slowly and menacingly strut back to her seat; Stephen stared at her from behind with a fearful expression.

Once he was done being terrified, he turned back around and continued his long and drawn out journey.

"Why is this classroom so frickin' big?" He muttered.

"Ah, there you are. Please, tell Natsuki I'm sorry I keep putting her things where she can't reach."

"Okay," he shrugged, turning to the pink – haired devil. "Natsuki I'm sorry I keep putting her things where she can't reach."

"Dumbass." Monika put her hand to her face.

"Same." Natsuki agreed.

"Look, I'm sure she didn't mean for it to be such a big deal." Stephen held in his previously instigated tears to say. "Plus, I can always get whatever it is anyways."

Her face flushed.

"I – Is something wrong?"

". . . You don't want to see what it is."

"Oh, girl things?"

"No! You stupid stupido. Something else . . ."

A tear rolled down his cheek.

"It's manga." Monika blurted.

"MONIKA."

"Oops, sorry." She offered a sympathetic smile, which gave no warmth to Natsuki at all.

"Manga?" Stephen inquired. Natsuki tensed, as if bracing for criticism, "Which one?"

Now, Natsuki stared blankly at him.

"Hello? Are you there?" He waved a hand in front of her.

"Oh, um . . . Parfait Girls." She mumbled out of a half – closed mouth.

"Ah, I haven't taken the time to read that one. I've watched it though! I've got to admit – too many Americans are addicted to anime."

"Was that racist joke?"

"It wasn't meant to be, and I'm sorry to anyone here who's American, but, seeing as I'm the only one – I hope that's okay. Anyways, would you like to -."

He was cut short by the ringing of the school bell, telling students that all club activities were now over.

"Oh, that's a shame. Well, same time tomorrow?" He pointed his chin to Monika, who hesitantly nodded. "Alright, I'll see you all next time, bye!" He was out the door.

The girls stood, shocked at how sudden his entrance and exit were.

A silence grew among the group, hoping he would return.

"It is a shame." They said to themselves.

Author's Note:

I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.

I know I haven't posted in a pretty hefty time. That was because I've been busy making this! (I wasn't procrastinating, no!)

I wanted to get this out there as soon as I could, so I'm sorry for any errors.

Also, Happy Halloween! *Cheers.*

Maybe I'll do a late Halloween special, but who knows – I do!

Anyways, as always, until next time,

mate ne!
