As Max and the others readied themselves, the Carnotaurus made its way to an opened area.
"Here we go; Elemental Boost, Supreme Lighting," said Max as he used the card and booster. The others following in his footsteps and doing the same. As the five attacks collided, and the colorful armors formed on the dinosaurs, the Cartnotaurus was engulfed in a bright light.
"Tell me that it worked," said Zoe. When the smoke cleared, everyone was terrified to see that the Carnotaurus had grown even bigger, breaking a building as it's tail hit it.
"Even our strongest attacks did not work," said Max with despair in his voice as he failed to his knees.
"Let us try then," said Rod as a helicopter flew over with the side opened and a machine aimed at the dinosaur.
"What are you going to do with that, Tod?!" asked Rex.
"It'll turn the Carnotaurus back to it's card form," said Tod before he fired. As the red colored laser hit the Carnotaurus, it was forced into its card form.
"We won," said Jaison.
"Not quite," said Zoe as she watched the dinosaurs start to disintegrate.
"We won the battle, but lost our friends," said Max as he and the others started to cry.
"Max, you might want to recheck that," said Rex as he whipped his tears away. When Max dried his eyes, he found that Chomp and the others had not been destroyed, but transformed into gold cards with stronger looking dinosaurs on them.
"They evolved," said Max with a stunned expression.
"Quick, we need to bring them out," said Jaison as he grabbed Wolly's card. The others also grabbed their cards and summoned their partners back.
"I'm glad to see you too, buddy," said Max as he hugged Chomp.
