Chapter 8: Mess in Spikemuth

Ash, Insey, Zinnia and Marnie arrive at the Spikemuth and they see a lot of Rocket grunts fighting against the Team Yell grunts. The Rocket grunts seems to be lead by a man and besides him is Speta, the same one they fought back at the Pinwheel Forest.

"Are you sure that Ash Ketchum will come here if we attack this town? Ark?" Speta asks the man, whose name is Ark, Ark says, "That's what the boss said, but we aren't sure about if he is right."

"Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!" They turn around and see that their Koffings and Grimers are fainted by the attack, and Ark says, "Looks like the boss is right."

"This is not the time to compliment our boss, right now we need to engage Ash Ketchum." Speta says as they go into the front lines.

"So it is you again." Marnie says as she looks at Speta, "You first ambush us back at Pinwheel Forest and now you are attacking my hometown?"

"And what if we did, if you just hand over the Infinity Gems, then no one would be harmed." Speta smirks back.

Ash gives a growl and says, "We are not going to hand over the gems, much like what you guys did to my Pikachu."

"Oh please, your Pikachu may be strong, but we aren't those idiots, a mere Pikachu won't be able to fulfill our plan." Ark says, and Ash asks, "Who are you?"

"I am the Vice Leader of Team Rainbow Rocket, Ark. Thanks to you, who manages to bring down every member of the Team Rocket, that I am able to get this position."

"Damn it...then he must be very strong." Zinnia says. Insey says, "You are not going to get the Infinity gems if we are here."

"And how do you know about that?" Speta sends out Accelgor and Ark sends out his Malamar, Ash says, "I am not the 8 region champion for nothing, that's how." He sends out Pikachu to battle, while Zinnia sends out Salamence, Insey sends out Butterfree while Marnie sends out Grimmsnarl. The four of them along with the Team Yell are engaged in the battle with the Team Rocket, both sides are not holding back.

"Since when did Team Rainbow Rocket becomes this strong?" Ash mutters, "This is very different from the ones that we battled before."

Insey says, "Maybe during the time when they are staying low, Giovanni might be training new members and make them this strong."

Zinnia says, "Not to mention, the grunts are actually helping each other instead of fighting each other, which is surprised to me since the grunts are greedy people who only cares about their benefits.

"And how do you know about that?" Marnie asks while still continuing to fight the Pokemon.

"I have been undercover for Team Aqua for half a year, and that's how I know about that." Zinnia says as she quickly presses the Key Stone and Mega Evolves her Salamence.

At the same time, Speta says, "Looks like the new girl is capable of Mega Evolution."

Ark says, "That is not going to scare us. They don't know the fact that we specially trained our Pokemon, unlike the former Team Rocket, we don't steal others' Pokemon to reach our goal, stealing weak Pokemon just hinders our plans to take over the world."

"You're right." Speta says. "And I am getting tired of this. Accelgor, attack Ash with your U-Turn!"

Ash widens his eyes as the Pokemon is about to hit him, he quickly dodges, but the Dark Gem falls from the pocket and it rolls into the middle of the battlefield. "That's the Gem!" Ark says.

But just as Accelgor is about to pick it up, Ash says, "No you won't, Pikachu! Use Quick Attack!"

Pikachu's attack hits Accelgor straight in the head, and then the attack causes the gem to fly into the air, Zinnia takes the Gem while riding on the Salamence and says, "I got it."

"Not so fast." Speta appears while riding the Volcarona as she uses Fiery Dance on the Salamence, Salamence tries to dodge by having a spin, but the gem falls from Zinnia's hands.

"Oh no!" Zinnia yells in horror, but Marnie quickly catches the gem before it falls. "I got it." Marnie says, but suddenly, she feels her body become weak and she falls down the floor.

"Oh no, Marnie!" Ash yells as he rushes towards the girl, Ark says, "Don't tell me...the girl is absorbing the powers of the gem...Malamar, quickly use Thief!"

But Insey jumps forward and says, "Don't even think about it." Then she uses X Scissors to knock out the Malamar, causing the Rocket members to get surprised. "How did she use Pokemon moves?" Speta asks.

"She might have used the power of the Infinity Gems, they are said to make a human able to use Pokemon moves." Ark says as he recalls the Malamar. "We have to stop before the second girl absorbs the powers of the Dark Gem."

"I won't tolerate anybody who destroys my hometown." As they turn around, they see Piers standing there with his Obstagoon. "Piers!" Ash says in delight, but Speta says, "Oh yeah? Accelgor, use Giga Drain!"

"Obstruct! Now!" Piers says as Obstagoon protects himself, and he says, "Now give them a Snarl!"

Obstagoon yells and it causes Accelgor to faint, Speta says, "What are we going to do, Ark?"

Ark says, "We retreat. And we should inform the boss that two girls have absorbed the powers of the Infinity Gems."

"Right." Speta says as she sprays the Smokescreen from the gadgets, and then they disappeared after the smoke clears out. Piers clicks his teeth that the Team Rocket was gone, but he quickly rushes towards Ash and the group.

"Ash, what happened to Marnie?" Piers asks as he holds the fainted Marnie in his hands. "Tell me everything now."

Ash says, "This isn't a perfect place to say, we will talk about this when we go to your house."

Piers nod as Ash carries the girl to the house. Once they put her on the bed, Ash says, "Insey, Zinnia, this is Piers, he is a famous singer and he was the former Gym Leader of the Spikemuth."

Ash says, "And as you can see, Piers." Ash then tell him about the Harem and then he says, "You mean you are having a lot of girlfriends and you mean my sister is one of it? This is really outrageous..."

"I know, but believe me, I love her like I love those two. And since I am an Arceus, you don't need to worry that I will break Marnie's heart." Ash says.

Piers gives a sigh and then he asks, "Then how about Marnie's condition? Why is she like this?"

Ash says, "Because of this Gem." Ash shows him the Dark Gem with no powers. "This is a Dark Gem, one of the 18 infinity gems that are capable of destroying the world. Since we are in a place full of Dark Type energy, and the fact that Marnie is also a Dark Type user who is chosen, it is no doubt that she has absorbed the powers inside her body."

"Then what will happen to her? Will it harm her life?" Piers asks, Insey says, "Calm down Piers, she will be fine, only that she would be able to become any Dark Type Pokemon that she wanted."

"What do you mean by that? Being any Dark Type Pokemon that she wanted? This is quite ridiculous..." Piers mutters.

"I know. We just need to wait until she wakes up." Ash says, Piers can only nod as he then says, "Ash Ketchum, we need to have a talk."

Ash sighs as he knows the being an overprotective brother, he is going to give him an earful about Marnie. And as he leaves with Piers, Insey asks Zinnia, "I wonder what will happen to Ash?"

"Don't worry, let's say that Marnie sure has an overprotective brother after all..." Insey says, "Though I was quite jealous since I was an alone child."

"Me too. Though I lived with a lot of village people, so I am not lonely." Zinnia says.

"I am feeling the same way." Insey says.

After a while, Ash and Piers come back, with Piers decide to look after Marnie. Insey asks, "So Ash, how did it go?"

"Well, let's say that never try to anger an overprotective brother." Ash says, "And now that I think of it, some of the girls also have overprotective brothers, I even know that one of them almost beat me in the League..."

"Oh my, you sure is going to be in trouble with the other brothers." Zinnia says as Ash feels like he wants to find a place to hide.

After a while, Marnie manages to wake up, much to the delight of everyone. "Marnie, are you okay?" Piers asks Marnie, Marnie was a little conscious, as she turns around. "Brother? Is that you?" Marnie mutters.

"Thank goodness you are awake." Piers hugs Marnie, causing her to widen her eyes after seeing Ash, Insey and Zinnia also there. "But Brother...I...did they..."

"Don't worry, Ash told me about the harem thing. At first I was mad at first, but after Ash showed me his determination, I guess I should agree."

Marnie smiles and she thanks her brother, then Ash asks, "So Marnie, how did you feel now?"

Marnie says, "I guess I am pretty fine? Since I feel a lot of energy swelling inside me...Does that mean I am like Insey and you? I can become any Dark Type Pokemon that I want?"

"I think so." Ash says, "We need to try it out by practicing."

As they head to the stadium, which is not occupied by any Gym trainers and no one is able to enter, they decide to try out the form change. Marnie closes her eyes and then the first Pokemon that she became is Poochyena.

"Wait, now my sister has become a Poochyena? What in the world is going on here?" Piers asks, and Ash says, "Calm down, it is just a matter of time that she would be able to transform into other Pokemon."

But things aren't that easily as Marnie becomes Darkrai, she just puts everyone in front of them to asleep, and then Guzzlord, she is feeling hungry all of a sudden and she almost suck up everyone in the stadium. And eventually Yveltal, they have to be careful or else Marnie accidentally fires the Oblivion Wing.

"Man...I can't believe that I almost got killed by my sister." Piers says, "Who knows that Dark Type Legendary Pokemon are this dangerous."

Marnie says, "But besides the Legendary Pokemon, I feel that there are some benefits for being the other Pokemon."

Ash says, "True, like Absol, you were able to sense any danger so that we will dodge it, and then there is Zoroark, its Illusion ability gives you a lot of tricks to use, and finally Bisharp, just looks at the knives, it sure is sharp."

"I know." Marnie says. "And don't worry, brother. I am sure that Ash will take care of me no problem."

Piers nods and says, "I know. So I guess you are leaving so soon, huh?"

Ash says, "Yes. I am going to find the fourth girl in my harem, so I need to head to Unova."

Piers nods as they all bid farewell to him.

Here is a new chapter, and in this chapter, Marnie has successfully absorbed the Dark Gem and she is capable of becoming any Dark Type Pokemon. The next chapter is going to be finding Elline in the Pokestar Studios. I hope you like this chapter.
