Chapter 11- The fifth fairy arrives and the rivals rematch

Lucy and Sherry were face to face ready to continue their battle. "You were able to close the gate even though I had control," Sherry says slightly impressed. "I guess that means I'm stronger than you," Lucy says confidently while holding her whip. "Well, I don't know if I would take it that far, remember my power allows me to take over any celestial spirit that you might call forth" Sherry reminds in monotone. "Don't be so sure I've got a few powerful spirits up my sleeve" Lucy says confidently before shouting "Open gate of the Canis Minor, Nicola!" Lucy's little pet Plue and Sherry look at it and says "It's cute. Let's watch it kill you, shall we? Marionette magic, now you're my puppet." Plue then started attacking Lucy by slightly hitting her shins, this caused Sherry to sweatdrop and say "You're kidding me!?" "I knew you'd fall for that" Lucy said before jumping into the air and whipping at Sherry. Sherry dodged the attack and said, "You deliberately summoned a weak spirit." "Exactly I knew if I summoned Plue you would try to take him over!" Lucy shouted in return while still trying to hit Sherry with her whip. "But that's so stupid why would you waste your magic like that!? Also, I release you from my command!" Sherry shouted.

Lucy then thought "Wait shy did I do that?" Lucy was broken from her thought when she heard Sherry angrily shout "Marionette attack: Rock Doll!" giant stones started to float into a giant creature and Lucy watched as Sherry was in the head of the creature and said "It's Like we're playing cat and mouse. I love that game. Let's see what you can do now little mouse, do you think that you can beat my rock doll?" Sherry asked mockingly. Lucy started freaking out then dodged the creature's fist before she started to run away while still continuing to dodge the creature's attacks. "Keep on running, little girl," Sherry said with an evil smile. "Who are you calling little I'm pretty sure we're the same age!" Lucy shouted back while running. Lucy then grabbed her keys and was trying to think of one that could save her in this situation, but the chase came to an end when they ended up on a cliff where Lucy was knocked down to the beach. Sherry and her rock doll then jumped down to the beach only missing Lucy because she jumped into the ocean, and it was then when Lucy shouted "Open gate of the Water Bearer, Aquarius!" Aquarius then appeared angry as usual and Lucy said "I don't have time to deal with your attitude right now just take this girl down.

Sherry seeing Aquarius got an evil smile again and said "Marionette attack you will know do as I command! She's now mine to command, are you going to send this one back as well?" Sherry asked sadistically. "No Aquarius is still my ace in the hole," Lucy said confidently. "I doubt you'll think that once I have her drown you! Know Aquarius drown this girl and get her out of my sight once and for all!" Sherry shouted. Aquarius not caring who gave her orders created a giant wave while shouting "I was already planning on doing that anyway!" The wave crashed into both Lucy and Sherry sending them both swirling underwater unable to surface for air, and just as the two thought they might drown Aquarius said "I thought that Lucy was dumb" before closing her own gate causing the water to retreat. Both girls were gasping for breath and slowly got to their feet dizzy and disoriented but both slowly hobbled towards one another and quickly got into a fistfight. The two girls landed blow after blow to each other but due to Lucy having recovered quicker she clotheslined Sherry knocking her to the ground but before Sherry fell unconscious she said: "Angelica finish the girl." Lucy then heard the giant rat jump towards her but she couldn't move out of the way because she couldn't feel her legs and just before Angelica landed on top of Lucy she was cut with a sword that knocked her away from Lucy and also knocked her unconscious. Lucy looked at the person who saved her and having regained feeling in her legs happily shouted "Erza!" and ran over to the red-haired knight only to be met with a glare and a face of utter disappointment. "Crap! I forgot she's mad at us because we broke guild rules and took an S class quest without permission." Lucy thought as her fear got to her head.

Ezra glared a second longer at Lucy before saying "Lucy, I assume you know why I'm here. You do don't you?" Lucy with a face of pure fear said "To take us back. Promise you won't hurt me?" Lucy asked frightfully. What the two wizards did not notice the short man from before watching them from atop the cliff and then hid away as Happy flew towards them. "Hey, I've been looking all over for you! I'm glad you're OK!" Happy shouted. Happy then noticed Erza standing in front of a terrified Lucy and he quickly turned around to flee only for his tail to be grabbed by Erza. "Now where is Natasha?" Erza demanded. "Listen I'm sorry we came here without permission but some really awful things have been happening on this island. There's this guy and his minions who are trying to revive a frozen demon and this island's villagers are suffering because of this magic spell they're using, they've turned into monsters!" Lucy explained. "We just thought that if we worked together we might be able to help them," Lucy said dejectedly. "None of that is my concern," Erza says seriously. "Please Erza! Let us finish this job, we can't leave things this way!" Lucy pleads. Erza simply summoned a sword and pointed it at Lucy while angrily saying "I don't think you understand, the three of you have betrayed master Makarov. You'll be lucky if you walk away with your lives."

The next day…

Gray starts to finally awaken after being unconscious and after regaining his bearings he exits the tent he was in. He is then greeted by a village girl who explains where they are and why, and Gray then remembers what Leon had commanded of the three. Gray then cringes and grabs his shoulder in pain, the village girl then explains that Lucy and Natasha saved everyone she then tells Gray that his friends are waiting for him in a large tent so he walks over to it and enters.

Gray was not ready however for what actually lay in wait for him inside the tent, for inside the tent there sat Happy and Lucy tied up with Erza glaring at Gray. "Erza!?" Gray shouts. "Lucy has already gotten me up to speed with the situation here, but I thought that you were sent here to stop these two fools? I must say I'm disappointed." Erza says seriously. "Where is Natasha anyway?" Gray asks. "That's something we'd all like to know," Erza says. "The last time I saw him he was fighting against the Cold Emperor's lackeys, but when we went back to where the village was there wasn't any sign of her. Wherever she is I hope she's okay, anyway since we couldn't find him Erza demanded that we take her to you but I had no idea where you ended up" Lucy explains. "So I did some scouting from the air and I could see that the villagers had moved into this storage area" Happy says.

Erza then starts to walk out of the tent while saying "Okay, we're going to search for Natasha then we're going back to the guild." "But we can't leave the island just yet! If Lucy filled you in then you know exactly what these villagers are going through right now!" Gray shouts. "And what would be your point?" Erza asks angrily. Gray doesn't answer but just looks at Erza shocked. "I came here solely to apprehend these fools for breaking the rules of the guild. I'm not interested in anything other than that" Erza finishes. "Rules, Have you even seen what's happening to the people on this island!?" Gray shouts astonished. "I have" Erza states. "And you're still just going to turn your back on them!?" Gray questions. "Their request is still posted on the boards of every guildhall. The villagers would be better served by wizards who are cleared for S class. You're not qualified. "How can you be so heartless!?" Gray shouts.

Erza turns, glares at Gray, and says "What did you say?" "It was nice knowing you Gray," Happy says. Erza summons a sword and says "Have you chosen to defy the guild's rules as well?" Erza then points her sword at Gray's throat while saying "You will face the same punishment." Gray grabs the blade of Erza's sword and glares at her before saying "Do what you must. For me, there is no other choice to be made I can't walk away from what I know is right." Gray then releases Erza's sword and walks past her and just before he walks out of the tent he says "I'm seeing this through to the end and you can't stop me." Erza just clenches her fists in anger before turning to the tied up Happy and Lucy with a glare and as the two of them were pleading to not be hurt Erza slashes the ropes and says "These events are intolerable. We will deal with the immediate problems for now, but just know that you will still face punishment."

With Natasha…

Natasha who had decided that her best course of action was to sleep in a tree close to the temple and was now walking towards the temple. "...YAWN...Man, I finally came up with the perfect plan, and then I go and oversleep" Natasha says groggily. She then stops in front of the temple entrance and says "Alright let's do this." Natasha then started destroying the pillars on one side of the temple causing the whole building to shift and when she released a roar straight up directly in front of Leon, Zalty, and Toby.

"What is the meaning of this!?" Len shouts while looking at the hole. "We're in trouble" Toby groans out. "I should have known Phoenix would make the first move. It appears that we have a visitor sir." Zalty calmly says. The three of them then look down the hole and see Natasha standing three floors below looking up at them before they hear "HAHAHA! You know I usually end up breaking stuff by accident. It's kinda funny how hard it is when I'm trying to do it on purpose." "What are you doing here!?" Lyon shouts down. "I'm turning this place into rubble so you won't be able to shine moonlight on that demon you've got underground!" Natasha angrily says while glaring. "Insolent fool. Just who do you think you are!? You dare challenge me!" Lyon shouts while returning the glare.

"Someone please tell me what is going on," Toby says. "I believe that this girl is the reason that the tower is tilted. She probably destroyed some of the pillars on one side to prevent the moonlight from shining onto Deliora" Zalty calmly says. "So you gonna fight me or what!?" Natasha shouted as she used fire to shoot herself towards Lyon. She charged her head directly into his stomach or at least that's what Natasha thought as Lyon broke apart into a dozen pieces of ice. "What the hell? He's fake" Natasha said in disbelief. Natasha then turned around as Lyon shouted "Ice make: eagle!" and shot ice eagles at her. "You can't dodge them in midair!" Lyon shouted cockily only to be surprised when Natasha released a roar and shot herself into the floor before firing two beams of fire from her feet. Lyon easily dodged her feet attack by jumping into the air and Natasha released a roar but in doing so she fell down a hole in the floor.

"What did you do?" Lyon asked Zalty angrily. "Whatever do you mean?" Zalty replied. "Don't play dumb with me I know that your magic caused that hole in the floor" Lyon said while looking at the hole. "You are very observant Cold Emperor, but if I could explain my actions. You are the only one strong enough to defeat Deliora and I must keep you safe until its resurrection." Zalty explained. "Are you suggesting that I could fall victim to such poultry magic?" Lyon asked while glaring and proceeded to cover the entire room in ice. "Leave me I will take care of this myself" Lyon commanded while glaring at Natasha as she climbed out of the hole. "Once I defeat the demon my name will be revered all over Cold Emperor Lyon. I've worked too hard to let a brat like her tarnish it. "As you wish" Zalty responds. "So you want to try and defeat Deliora," Natasha says in a slightly shocked whisper.

Natasha then completely stood up and said "The thing looks half dead already. So let me get this straight you're going through all this trouble to melt that ice just so you can fight it. That's pretty messed up if you ask me" Natasha said. "I must rise above Ur's legacy. I will not rest until I fulfilled my dream!" Lyon shouts as he launches ice eagles at Natasha. Natasha easily dodges the eagles on after another while closing in on Lyon and saying "Why go this far!? Can't you just challenge her and be done with it!?" "Well, I would if I could but Ur has been dead for years" Lyon revealed. Natasha remembering what Gray had said about his master spaced out for a moment and had to quickly block an ice eagle.

"Look I don't know what happened to you in the past but I do know what you're doing in the present and it's hurting a lot of innocent people, and since you don't seem to realize that yourself I'll half to beat some sense into ya!" Natasha shouted while covering her left hand in fire.

With the other Fairy Tail mages…

Lucy, Gray, Erza, and Happy were running towards the temple. "Are you serious he wants to try and defeat Deliora?" Lucy asked shocked. The four of them stopped for a moment and Gray continued "Even back when we were kids Lyon always dreamed about surpassing Ur's magical ability but since she's gone and he can't challenge her directly he's decided that it's up to him to kill Deliora cause it's the one thing she couldn't do. Listen there's something...something I never got to tell him. I kept it secret. Ur made me promise o never let him know but I halve too, Ur might not be with us but she's still alive."

"What do you mean?" Erza confusingly asked. Gray then explained to the three of them that after Deliora destroyed his hometown that Ur and Lyon took Gray in after finding him still alive under a pile of rubble. Gray then proceeded to explain that he swore vengeance on Deliora and that Ur was the reason that he now has a stripping habit, and that Ur was the one who taught him his magic. Gray told them how he walked out on Ur and Lyon to go to the Northern continent and kill Deliora.

"Hey, guys. Is it just me or does that temple look a little crooked?" Lucy asked the group. "I'm guessing Natasha" Gray replied. "Me too" Erza agreed. "I don't know how she managed to pull it off but she's the only one who would do something that crazy. It's a pretty great idea if she did it on purpose since the temple's tilted it won't hit Deliora" Gray said. "Her destructive tendencies were useful this time," Lucy said.

Erza heard a rustling coming from some bushes and shoved Lucy and Happy out of the way as some knives came flying out. Erza and Gray easily dodged the knives and got into fighting stances "Who's there!?" More than a dozen of Lyon's underlings emerged with crescent blades surrounded the Fairy Tail wizards ready to attack. "The three of you go to the temple I can handle this myself," Erza said confidently while summoning a sword. "You sure?" Gray asked worriedly. "I'll take care of them. You go and ettle things with Lyon" Erza said. Gray nodded his head in acceptance. Lucy brandishing her whip then said "We'll stay behind and help her fight" and happy agreed with an "Aye!"

Gray then smiled and took off running towards the temple while thinking "I've got to tell Lyon that Ur's still alive the only person who can stop him is me." As Gray was running he also was remembering when he went to kill Deliora. Deliora was destroying yet another city but this time Ur was there trying to fight it off, but she was running out of magic power and had already had to create an ice right leg for herself. "I can't keep this up I'm using too much magic power," Ur said after dispelling her ice shield which she used to protect herself, Lyon, and Gray. Lyon was unconscious and Gray was just waking up himself and he saw Deliora and was about to try and get up when Ur came over and hugged him and said "Everything's going to be fine." Gray looked at Ur surprised and asked "You're here, but why?"

Instead of answering Gray she stands and tells Gray to grab Lyon and leave stating that she wants them safe so she can just concentrate on fighting Deliora. Gray then runs over to the unconscious Lyon and grabs Lyons's body while standing behind Ur and says "Deliora it's too strong I didn't stand a chance." Ur then starts to walk away and says "Get going." "Wait! Why did you come after me!? I thought I wasn't your student anymore!" Ur then explained that she was unbelievably happy to have two students that she will always cherish and protect. It was then that Gray noticed something "Ur! Your leg!" "Oh, you noticed. I lost the real one but this will do for now. My maker magic came in handy." Gray was crying as he looked at Ur as she said "I promised I would free you from the darkness within you, and if that means that I have to fight this demon then so be it. Ow get out of here and let me do this." "No, I'm not leaving you! It's my fault that all of this happened!" Gray shouts in protest. "No one is at fault. This is just something that we to go through in order to be happy again" Ur replied.

Lyon chose this moment to make it known that e was still awake and sadly said "You can beat this thing right? You're the strongest wizard alive, so why are you talking like you're not going to come back?" "I've always told you there is always someone more powerful. In the Western countries, there are plenty." Ur replies. "Then why have I been training under you!?" Lyon shouts. "One day you'll surpass me and when that day comes I hope you will move on to a loftier goal," Ur says. Lyon then runs past Ur and crosses his arms in front of his body "Lyon! Where did you learn that stance!?" Ur shouted. "Since you wouldn't teach us powerful magic I went to the storehouse and read all your magic books. You hid all the top-level stuff cause you were scared. Is that it!?" Lyon demanded. "Did you even bother to read that book all the way through!? Do you know what happens to the spell caster!?" Ur questioned.

Lyon didn't answer Ur and with the magic power, he was producing Deliora noticed and turned towards them. "I know that magic is too weak to kill Deliora but if I cast the Iced Shell spell I can seal it in ice for eternity!" Lyon shouted deliriously. Lyon was too preoccupied with the spell to move out of the way of Ur's magic which completely froze him. "I'm not going to let you do that" Ur said. "But Ur why is that spell so bad?" Gray questioned. "That spell turns the caster's body into the shell itself." Ur then walks past Lyon's frozen body and says "He's right though it is the only way that Deliora can be stopped." Ur continued to walk towards Deliora while releasing her magic power and saying "I never would have thought that he would have the same idea I had.

Ur then threw her arms in front of herself and crossed them and suddenly giant magic circles began to surround Deliora. "I won't ever let you hurt my students again! This is the end of the line you monster! Absolute free! Iced Shell!" Ur then threw her arms back and her body started to disappear as Deliora's started to freeze. "Ur no! Please don't do it" Gray shouted. "It's a sacrifice that I need to make in order to save the two of you. My body will become the ice that will seal the demon Deliora for eternity. Ur said as her body started to become ice and her right eye cracked. "Gray promise me one thing please tell Lyon I died. If he found that I'd been turned to ice he'd probably waste his whole life trying to find a way to undo the spell, and that would make my sacrifice meaningless." Ur sadly said. "Stop!" Gray shouted. "I want Lyon to see the world so full of life, and gray I want the same for you." Ur continued. Gray dropped to his knees and was crying shouted "I'm begging you please don't do this. I promise I'll do whatever you tell me to from now on!" "There's no reason to be sad I will live on so please don't cry," Ur said as her bod fully became ice and Deliora was completely frozen. "UR!" Gray shouted out in sadness.

Lyon woke up the morning of the next day the first things he saw were frozen Deliora and a crying Gray "What happened!? Did Ur cast the spell!? Where is she now!? Tell me!" "She...she's dead," Gray said through tears. Lyon shouted out in rage and then he tackled Gray to the ground and started to berate Gray and he glared at him while saying "This is your fault. You killed master Ur."

At the temple…

Natasha and Lyon were still going head to head with neither of them doing much in terms of damage to the other. "This can go on forever so do yourself a favor and give up," Natasha said. "I would never give you that satisfaction" Lyon replied. Natasha just smiled evilly and said "hehe… You're asking for it." "Oh am I now?" Lyon responded. Suddenly the wall beside them both began to crack and when it did the two of them say Gray standing there. Gray then walks in between Natasha and Lyon while saying "Leave him to me. It's time we settle things once and for all." "No way man you already lost to him once," Natasha said annoyed. "It's not going to happen again. I'm going to end this now" Gray responded. "You seem awfully confident" Lyon chastised.

"You are right Lyon I'm the one to blame for our master's death, but you're no better you've threatened my comrades, hurt the villagers, and now you're threatening what Ur gave her life to create. It's time we accept our punishment together" Gray said. Gray then started getting into the stance to cast Iced Shell and Lyon reacted with slight fear. It was then that Natasha figured out that Gray's master used Iced Shell to seal the demon. "Are you insane you wouldn't dare!" Lyon shouted. "If you want to live change the villagers back to their human forms then leave this island forever. If you agree to that I'll stop otherwise this is the end" Gray said seriously. "That so. Well, I don't believe a word of it. You're bluffing." Lyon says. Gray just exerts more magic power, glares, and says "No I'm not."

Lyon then tries to send a spell at Gray but is knocked back by Gray's sporadic magic power around him. "Don't do it!" Natasha shouted. "The fact Ur died because of me will never change, no matter how much time goes by. It's time I took responsibility so I will here and now. I'm not afraid to die if that's what it takes. So what's it going to be Lyon!? Are we going to die or are we going to live!? It's up to you!" Gray shouted as cracks started to appear on his body. "Do it. You're not brave enough to die. You're nothing but a coward" Lyon responded cockily. "Just watch me," Gray said.

So with the posting of this chapter, I can tell everyone that the wait for my chapters should decrease significantly since I will only be typing one chapter ahead from now on instead of two.
