The ship carrying Maya, Kurama, Hiei and Puu was at sea.
Kurama handed a dress to Maya. It was several sizes too large.
"Here. I bought you a dress " Kurama said.
Maya held it up, laughing. "You bought me a tent."
Puu snickered as Maya poked her head inside it.
"What're you looking for?" Kurama said.
Maya examined the dress. "The Russian Circus - I think it's still in here."
Kurama didn't laugh.
"Come on, just put it on." Kurama said. He walked away in a huff up the stairs,
"Agh." Kurama said.
Maya held up the dress, very pleased
"Hmm." Maya was very excited.
Kurama and Hiei were playing chess when Maya appeared on deck wearing her new dress all fixed up. Hiei's jaw dropped.
"Check mate" Hiei said.
Maya cleared her throat to get their attention.
"Wonderful! Marvelous! And now you are you're dressed for a ball, you will learn to dance for one as well. Kurama." Hiei said.
Kurama saw Maya's incredible transformation.
"But I'm not very good at it..." Kurama said.
Maya put out her arms to dance. He awkwardly positioned himself to dance with her. Hiei counted off them into the waltz and then stepped back to watch.

Waltz Music began. Kurama was nervous. They danced.
"That dress is really beautiful." Kurama said.

"I am wearing it." Maya said.

She smiled. They swirled into the dance, at first awkward, but little by little gaining in grace. Hiei watched them.
The sun was setting and it was a glorious evening.
"I never should have let them dance!"
Maya and Kurama gradually slowed their dancing.
"I'm feeling a little dizzy." Maya said.
"Kind of light headed?" Kurama said.
"Yeah." Maya said.
"Me too. Probably from the spinning" Kurama said.
They had stopped dancing by now.
"Maybe we should stop." Kurama said.
"We have stopped." Maya said.
Kurama and Maya began to fall into a kiss.
"Maya, I ..." Kurama said.
"Yes ... ?" Maya said.
Puu started barking at Kurama, breaking the spell.
"You're doing fine." Kurama said.
Kurama exited.
Maya watched him go, confused.
