(Y/n) glared at the back of Lavi's annoyingly bright head, wishing she could burn a hole through it just by looking. Lavi always had been annoying, but lately, it seemed to have increased tenfold. Lavi practically ripped her work apron off her when he saw she was nearly out the door, dragging her back in.

"Alright, I'm going to be out for a while, I have a long shift at the library."

She watched with narrowed eyes at Lavi. "Must be nice… To go outside…" She said pointedly. Lavi chuckled, turning to her with a cheerful grin. "Are you trying to telekinetically set my head on fire?"

(Y/n) snorted. "You noticed?"

Lavi snorted. "I felt your intense stare." Lavi shook his head. "Hey…" (Y/n) refused to look at him, staring at her pancakes. "… You're not in jail, you know. I'm not trying to make you miserable, but for now, it's too dangerous for you to go out by yourself. Especially places Bakanda knows you go to."

"…"

"… Allen and I can't be with you always to stop him, (Y/n)- so I'd rather you be cooped up like a modern Rapunzel, than practically handed on a silver platter to that asshole."

(Y/n) finally looked at him, suddenly feeling bad about being so annoyed with him. Regardless of how annoying it is, Lavi was absolutely right. They couldn't afford to get Kanda one step closer to his goal. "Sorry, I know." Lavi gave her an understanding smile, leaning in for a quick hug. "I just feel like I'm going crazy."

"We'll find a way, (Y/n)." (Y/n) nodded, returning his hug. "And you're not going crazy. It's just cabin fever. I promise we'll do something soon."

"Thanks, Lavi." Once he left, (Y/n) looked down at her phone, her mood instantly lifting at the sight of a text from Allen. Humming happily to herself, she sat on the couch, pancake forgotten as she turned on the tv.

RIIING. RIIIIIIIIING.

(Y/n) shot up, groggy and vision hazy as she looked around for her cellphone. After digging through the cushions for a bit, she pulled it out. "? Oh!"

… It was a text from her supervisor.

[Hey, (Y/n) I'm sorry to bother you through your time off, but is there any way you could cover a shift tonight? It's only for 4 hours, Amy called out again, and I have no one to cover the front until Tai comes in.] (Y/n) groaned. Why they still kept Amy, she had no idea.

"…" Pursing her lip, she thought of what to do. It was too dangerous to go, but she didn't want to let her supervisor down. Plus, she was bored as hell stuck the whole time indoors. She hadn't seen Allen face to face since that night, and even though Lavi knew how to be well beyond great company, there was only so much idiotic redhead men she could handle in a day… Sighing, she started typing. "… Sorry Lavi…But it's only 4 hours, what could happen in that time."

[… Sure, No problem, what time?] She really hoped Lavi wouldn't be too pissed off, but he just really didn't understand. It's not like she could just hole up at the Bookman's for the rest of her life to get away from Kanda. She had bills to pay, tuition- She was nothing like Lavi, who had all these fancy, lucrative scholarships, and the smarts to prove it. The Bookman's had money because of their intellect, among other things. (Y/n) had none of that.

Even with Allen paying well more than his for share for their apartment, plus secretly paying off part of her tuition when she fell behind on deadlines- she didn't want to burden him or the Bookmans any more than she already has.

After reading the last text of her supervisor, (Y/n) set off to get ready, ignoring the small gnawing feeling in the back of her neck, prickling at her skin.

"Allen!" Allen jumped, startled as he looked towards Chaoji. Timothy stared.

"Sorry, what were you saying?"

Timothy narrowed his eyes. "What's with you, old man?" Allen's eye twitched at this. "You've been acting weird, lately." Timothy said, playing with Timcannpy's squishy cheeks. Chaoji nodded.

"Yeah, you've been spacing out a lot. Is everything okay?" Chaoji asked.

"You're constipated aren't you!" Timothy suddenly blurted out. Timcannpy, startled by his loud voice, flew out of the boy's hands, landing on Allen's shoulder to hide in his collar. Allen made a strange noise, as Chaoji tried to hold in his laugh. "If you poop you'll feel better. Trust me."

Lavi, who had been turning the corner of the hallway, burst out laghing, falling to the floor. "Bwahahahahaha- what!"

Allen sweatdropped, but gave Timothy a small smile. "Thank you, Timothy, but it's not that. I just have a lot on my mind lately. I'm fine though."

Chaoji nodded. "Well, if you ever need to talk, I wouldn't mind."

Timothy made a grossed out noise. "If this is about girls, I don't wanna hear it!" He plugged his ears. "Don't you know girls have cooties?!"

Lavi walked up to them, sticking out his tongue. "You won't be saying that in five years or so… Don't you have lessons soon, or something, you lil' booger?"

"You're a bloody booger!" Timothy shot back. "I don't wanna go. It's boring!"

Lavi frowned. "Now, Don't say that! Krory and Miranda are really fun. And they're doing this during their free time to help you!" Lavi chided.

Timothy rolled his eyes. "So what?!"

Lavi leaned in closer. "So what- they don't have to do that. But they did. Unless you want Bookman to do it. Or me."

Timothy blanched. He remembered the last time he had lessons with the Bookmans…

"Fiiine. Later, losers!" Timothy stuck out his tongue, running towards the Order Library.

"What a brat…" Lavi whispered as they watched Timothy leave. "Miranda and Krory give him way too much leeway."

"I have to get going soon too." They turned to Chaoji. "I have a mission soon. I'll see you guys later." Both men nodded.

"Later Chaoji."

"Good luck and safe travels on your mission."

"Thanks!"

"…"

"…"

"…." Lavi raised a brow. "So..?"

"So?" Allen repeated.

"Well, are we going to have a heart to heart talk or what?" Lavi grinned, slinging an arm over his shoulder. "What's up?"

Allen smiled, although it didn't seem to meet his eyes. "… I just miss (Y/n) a lot."

"Aww, so that's what your kicked puppy look and sighs have been all about." Lavi chuckled. "Why haven't you used Neah's gate to go visit her? That way the Order doesn't find out you've been using the Ark without their knowledge."

"I've thought of that, but I don't think it's a good idea."

Lavi raised a brow. "And that's because?"

"…" Allen's cheeks suddenly went red. Lavi got greatly amused by this, really wanting to know what it was that got this kind of reaction from the white haired man. "… Because it wouldn't be private…"

Lavi smirked, covering his mouth with a coy laugh. "Oh ho ho! Why Allen- you dog!" Allen's cheeks went even redder. "Looks like all it took was to get a taste, and now you can't keep your hands off her, eh? Hehehe."

"Lavi." Allen groaned, embarrassed. "Please stop…"

"Haha, well, anyways, your girl is starting to get her feathers ruffled up. I think being stick indoors is giving her cabin fever."

Allen frowned. "… Yeah, but it's not like she can… I'm just worried about her. She's been trying to act like she's okay, but I know she's not. Maybe she needs to go to therapy…"

"I don't think that's a good idea." Lavi said. "Don't get me wrong, I'm all about getting mental help, but I don't think her problems are something a shrink is gunna be able to help with."

"Ah, you're right."

"Listen, she's been doing okay, so far. Neah's been helping out, so she's not always alone in the apartment. She's safe there."

"Yeah, but for how long?" Allen pressed, worry etched on his face. "What if the guards don't stay up forever? Or she does something brash, and we can't get to her on time? I just feel like we're walking on eggshells all the time."

Lavi nodded. "I get that feeling… But if we stress out too much about it, we won't be on our A game. And (Y/n) needs us to be."

"Yes, you're right."

(Y/n) fumbled around with her apron as she approached her job, tying up her (h/c) into a messy bun, not caring how she looked. She knew she probably looked like shit- dark circles, dry hair, pale, but she honestly didn't care. Her brows burrowed when she finally noticed the door to the store was on the curb, shards of glass littered all across. "What the hell..?" Slowing down her pace, she cautiously turned the corner of the street, stepping inside. "Did someone try to rob the store or something?" She muttered.

The light flickered on and off, but it was too dark to see anything. She cussed, reaching out her hands as she pressed them against the wall, feeling for the emergency flood lights. She had the sudden urge to flee, as if she were walking right in to the lair of a predator, who had been awaiting it's prey.

Her skin prickled at the uneasy feeling bubbling in her stomach. There was a strange smell in the air, peculiar, yet somehow familiar. After a while, she finally felt the cold switch, and turned it on. When she turned around, she screamed.

… Kanda stood bloody in the middle of the store, pieces of her coworkers all around him…

He smiled devilishly, fangs glistening red as he pinned her to the wall. "Took you long enough to get here." His deep baritone nearly purred out the words, vibrating against the side of her cheeks. "I was beginning to think you wouldn't show up."

(Y/n) pressed herself deeper into the wall, wanting to disappear. "K-Kanda…" Her body shook, tears spilling out of her eyes as she peered back into his eyes. "W-why… W-why did you..?" Her voice choked. "WHY?!"

Kanda's smile widened, as he held her chin. "You needed a reminder that you're mine."

"The text… that was you..?"

"Yes."

"WHY DID YOU KILL THEM?!" She tried pushing him off, but Kanda didn't budge even when she started punching his chest. Growing tired of it, Kanda slapped her, nearly causing her to topple to the side by the force.

Her eyes clenched shut at the sudden stinging pain, vision blurring for a moment before tears leaked out. "!" Her gaze fell towards the corpses of her friends, her legs buckling under her. "I'm so sorry!" (Y/n) choked, punching her fists against the cold linoleum floor. "FUCK!" She looked up at Kanda, hot, searing anger through her tears. "FUCK YOU, YOU ASSHOLE!"

Kanda scoffed, smirking. "How cute."

In a flash, he held her pinned against the floor, sitting on her chest as he squeezed her neck. Instantly, (Y/n) flailed, wheezing with the lack of air. Her nails reached up and dug deep into Kanda's chin, yet he didn't falter. His cold eyes stared, leaning in closer. "I don't know where you were hiding. Something tells me those Bookmen had something to do with it…" His lips curled into a snarl. "This has gone on long enough, bitch." He hissed, tightening his grip.

"!"

One of his hands tugged at the hem of her jeans, ripping the zipper in one quick pull. (Y/n's) eyes widened, her flailing growing more intense and desperate.

*** TRIGGER WARNING*** ["I warned you not to go against me." Kanda growled, slipping her jean down to her ankles. (Y/n's) chortled screams echoed through the store. "Shut the fuck up!" Kanda screamed in her face, shoving his tongue deep down her throat as he parted her thighs.

"I can smell that half breed on you. You fucked him didn't you? Heh, he got sloppy seconds." Kanda chuckled, unbuckling his chained belt with one hand. "I don't like the stench of half demon on you… Let's fix that."

(Y/n's) flailing stilled, her body suddenly tensing as searing hot pain made her unable to move…

… She felt sick.

Her vision blurred with her tears, her sense of balance leaving her as she was on the verge of fainting. Goddamn, it fucking hurt. It hurts!

'Allen!' She tried to cry out his name desperately, only coming out as grunts. 'Allen, A-Allen!' It was only when she felt nails digging into her hips did she realize the grunts weren't from her…

It felt like she was being ripped apart…

… (Y/n) clenched her eyes shut, focusing on the image Allen's warm smile…] *** TRIGGER WARNING END***
