"UNCLE QROW!" Ruby is hanging off his arm after she launches herself at Qrow.

"You said to come here for something important, what'd you need?" Yang chimes in.
"I have someone you should meet. He's a new member of our family."
"Family?! Did you have a kid Uncle Qrow?! Oh Oum I can't wait to see him!" Ruby bounces up and down in excitement.
"I didn't have a kid, I adopted one."
"You... adopted a kid."

"No offense Uncle Qrow... but you are like the last person that should have a kid. Like ever."
"That's what I said too." Chris came in, snickering, while the sisters were deadpan staring at Qrow.
"Ah! Who are you?" Ruby hides behind Yang at the sudden inclusion.
"Your new... step-cousin? I guess? Whatever the hell it counts as."
Yang was sizing him up.
"So... Uncle Qrow adopted you? What's so special about you that you've made him of all people want you to be part of our family?"
"Oh, I didn't get to that yet. The kid fixed my aura and now my semblance doesn't cause everyone to have bad luck unless I want it to." Qrow's nonchalant drop of a metaphorical bombshell made Chris laugh his ass off as he stared at Ruby and Yang's faces.

Yang and Ruby were listening intently.

Qrow couldn't hold in the laughter anymore and fucking falls on the floor.

"Will you just shut up already?!" releasing his shirt and turning away, face on fire.
"Alright Yang, if you can't handle the teasing then I guess that's fine."

Ruby just looks on in confusion, why was Yang getting so angry?
"If you're done, can we address the elephant in the room? How did you fix a semblance?"
"In simple words, Qrow's aura was incomplete and I used my aura to show his aura system how to function completely."

"I didn't follow any of that... but I'm glad you helped Uncle Qrow!" Ruby rushes Chris for a hug, which he returns with a smile.
"It was nothing, I bet he didn't tell you I found his issue within an hour of meeting him did he?"

"What." Yang rubs her head and just gives up trying to understand.
Qrow, picking himself off the floor, finally rejoins the conversation.
"This weirdo spotted a problem in my aura that even Ozpin didn't notice. I don't understand how his brain works... but he's family now ok?"
"Yup! He'll be my big brother! He can't be a bad person if he helped out Uncle Qrow!" Ruby was holding Chris in a death grip, only his aura was saving him from damage.
"I didn't have any family away. If I get a cute little sister out of helping a drunk bird, then that's cool with me."
